I filmed this video at the end of September and held back on the upload as I wanted to monitor the performance of Synergy Lite before I released it. I can safely say that it's performing incredibly well and I'm really impressed with the product so far. As I mentioned in the video, I'll mainly be providing updates on the product through Instagram (instagram.com/autocarehq/) As always, links to all the products used in the video are in the description. Thanks for watching!
Great job Heather. I applied Synergy Lite to my wife's Mini. Left it for 3 weeks before washing and I felt at that point it had lost quite a bit of its beading and sheeting. Gave it a wash with GT Decon at 5% and it revived the Synergy Lite. The car is now super hydrophobic and the gloss level is brilliant. 3 months later, it still looks fantastic.
Cheers Kenny! That's brill thanks for letting me know! Mine is at about 1.5 months and still looks really good but I reckon it'll need a decon wash at some point over winter probs
hi there, been washing cars for forty years, wrongly, clearly, your videos have totally changed my mindset, and cost a few pounds, keep up the great work, and ethic and look forward to your next video!!!!
Hands down the best detailing channel out there. Just everything….presentation, description of products and how best to use them and exactly what they do, very detailed and steady camera shooting (rather than the head-cam/hand held/one handed efforts on a lot of other channels) that correlate exactly with what is being said at the time in the video. Brilliant editing too without being too fancy. Nicely ambient sounds in the background that don’t get in the way of the narration or annoy by being too loud and no rowdy drum and bass nonsense to struggle through! All this with such an adorable and friendly host, calm and soothing voice and that lovely accent. Everything is covered here and absolutely blows the soapy suds out of most of the other stuff I have watched. I don’t know how you clean cars so beautifully and manage to capture it so perfectly…..I can barely get round my van with just the power washer without knocking buckets and bottles over and getting in a tangle of cables and hoses 😖🙄😬 I just cannot imagine the added stress of recording it!! Really excellent work Heather and your car looks amazing! 🫡🫡🫡
My favourite detailer on the web. More so than even ammo nyc. No BS. Quality instructions, lets the pictures tell the story. Excellent. Just needs to be 4k UHD and then totally sorted.
Wow that's a huge compliment thank you! I love the Ammo NYC channel, Larry makes incredible videos. If the channel really takes off then I'd really like to get a 4K camera
What a really smart car that is when it is fully dressed so much so when my mate was saying he was buying a black one I told him to reconsider getting a red one. Your wheels are really smart are they gun metal in colour. I sold my mini after putting on my ceramic coating partly because I regretted doing it as I like to wax and I would have missed the whole decon wash process twice a year. That is a good point re the softer brush on maintenance washes. I was having a discussion with a fellow detailer about tyre prep in that we are all obsessed in removing the brown gunk from tyres that is in fact the UV protectant the manufacturers put in the tyre. I now only hit them once and re apply serum. I have topped the serum with a tyre creme to good effect also. Another really good watch.
Thanks very much John! Yep they're a kind of gun metal colour, they can look a bit more silver when it's bright but that's rare in this climate lol. That was my concern with coating this to be honest so I thought I'd just try a 12 month one to start with. I look after 5 cars pretty often so fortunately I can use them to test new things out so it's not bothering me much atm. Completely agree, there's no need to be battering the tyres with heavy cleaners if you can maintain them frequently with something like Tyre Serum
Mazda's soul red crystal is probably the best red available. I have machine grey and after a good valet, it looks so transparent and glossy you'd think you could dip your hand into it. Fabulous detail video.
7:37 True. But even if you don't wash your vehicle every single week, like me, claying and polishing is a bit unnecessary. I always wash my car once in a few months, sometimes monthly. No scratches; I wash very carefully, no carwashes etc. And if I don't use the car, it sits dry in the garage. 😇 My 2016 Ford Fiesta ST-Line still looks like new after each wash. Only 32.000 km's driven.
Tried Lite myself for the first time recently. Pretty much exact same scenario as you, and I was pleased with the results. Let’s see how it performs over the winter
Hi Heather, love the video, as always very professional, could you do a follow-up video on how to clean and keep the ceramic coating in tip top condition, thanks.
Thanks Nigel! I'm following the same kind of maintenence process as in this video (ua-cam.com/video/6BiI6K7EcWY/v-deo.html). The plan is to do a decon wash on that car in the next few months to keep the ceramic performance at its best so I'll definitely be filming that
@@AutoCareHQ hi Heather thsnks for the link, I remember that video, as for doing a decon wash, what percentage of GT decon shampoo would you use, thsnks
Enjoyable video Heather, love infinity wax products. Just used there ceramic wax on my mk4 golf gti that I've started showing at a few shows .really impressed with it so far . Want to try the GT wheel coating soon.
Thanks James! I've only tried 4 of their products so far but I've been very impressed by them all. I'd definitely recommend the GT Wheel Coating, it's very good stuff!
Excellent presentation as always. Would love to get updates on Synergy Lite as to water spots, hydrophobicity, and durability. And also whether layering adds noticeably to looks or durability. The last part might persuade me to switch from my winter go-to, Fusso, which lasts me 7-8 rainy months, but doesn't add to looks. I'm in the US but my region has weather just like the UK, and my car sleeps outside, so most protection lasts half of what's advertised. Complements to your channel too. You're skill and knowledge are tops and your vids are polished, but you're also super sensible and hype-free. Keep it up!
Thanks very much :) I'll definitely be providing some updates on Synergy Lite. My car is also stored outside so the protection usually lasts a couple of months less than the claims
Great to see the car on the channel - such a nice colour. Decon wash is awesome stuff for sure, so versatile. Not tried a lot of Infinity Wax products - do you like the ones you’ve used? My winter prep was Gyeon Wax on top of my Gyeon EVO ONE coating - both products are epic. I’m sure you’ll enjoy having a ceramic, the ‘self cleaning’ aspect impressed me the most. Top job as always !
Thanks for watching! I'm loving the coating so far, it really makes maintenance nice and easy. The only other Infinity Wax products I've tried are Incinerate and Tyre Coat and they're both cracking products. Incinerate is the strongest non-acidic wheel cleaner I've tried by far and Tyre Coat is very easy to use
I got a solid 10 months out of this before it started showing any signs of degradation (full prep beforehand). It’s even designed with some filling properties, so will improve the look of swirled paint too, although I’d always want to correct beforehand if required.
Hi, heather I hope you are well, your car looks fantastic through the years, and thank you for the good winter advice, please recommend to me, one good car wash cloth with free scratches to black color paint for this winter season, Best.
Thanks Jorge, hope you are well too :) My favourites are from The Rag Company. I don't think you can go wrong with these four products, they still feel very soft and safe after many cycles through the washing machine: The Rag Company Cyclone Mitt: www.cleanandshiny.co.uk/products/the-rag-company-cyclone-premium-korean-microfiber-wash-mitt-blue?_pos=1&_sid=ae70e626d&_ss=r - The Rag Company Pluffle: www.cleanandshiny.co.uk/products/the-rag-company-platinum-pluffle-20-x-40-hybrid-weave-microfiber-towel?variant=40519130284230 - The Rag Company Edgeless 365: www.cleanandshiny.co.uk/products/the-rag-company-edgeless-365-premium-16-x-16-microfiber-terry-towel-gold?variant=40518854639814 - The Rag Company Eagle Edgeless 500: www.cleanandshiny.co.uk/products/the-rag-company-eagle-edgeless-500-16-x-16-plush-microfiber-towel-orange?variant=31846334464098
That Infinity Wax looks like a great solution for those of us without a garage but looking for something more permanent through the winter months and beyond with the rapid curing time. Thanks for the review Heather.
I enjoyed this video very much. It makes sense not to cut and polish the clear coat when it isn’t necessary. Same for clay barring. If paint feels smooth , why bother? I really dig the shape and the lines of your car. You rarely see the hardtop here in South Florida, where most opt for the convertible.
Thanks Jeffrey! I can imagine the soft top being a lot more popular over in Florida. I think it looks nicer with the roof down compared to the hardtop as only the roof comes down and the sides stay up on this version. With the weather here though I never really get the chance to put the roof down 😂
Nice video, nice finish on the car. I think you hit the nail on the head with reference to people that don't want to go to the trouble applying full ceramic coating. I've just done my winter prep, with Fusso, but my parents Qashqai needs something, and that only gets cleaned if I do it, so maybe this IW product could be a possibility, and it'll allow me to try something new 🤔
Your wee Mazda's paint looks like you could dive into it Heather. I'm sure if you went to a Mazda MX5 meets it would definitely get a great deal of attention.
Hello auto Care HQ love your car datailing vidéo and Chanel and i Also love all your product and effort to make différents types off car datailing vidéo nice tanks
Great video again Heather! Looking forward to the upgrades on IW Synergy Lite. Seems to be a great option for many of us who has no sheds, it is on my wishlist of try since a while. Your longevity updates will help to give a rough indication how it holds, but I blindly believe it will perform rather good in the upcoming months.
Totally right Heather pointless doing things that aren't needed . Waste of time and product. The product used seems a good option ,and anything that gives a decent protection over the winter period . And what did I say last week about tubers branded t shirts You own standard ,and known for item , your wearing again mate . I do love that colour though , its gotta be the best one on this shape MX5
@@AutoCareHQ you will shock me one week and wear pink or something instead.I have stuff I SHOULD wear then forget and get good clothes covered in black specs from cleaning the wheels . Be interesting to see how the protection works out .I find I enjoy the process of coating a car in waxes etc so something that lasts so long puts me off use on my own car
Your car looked amazing afterwards, better than factory fresh 😎 wheels are super nice and I appreciate M-pilot’s they’re a great looking tyre. I did a maintenance wash on my car yesterday and was thinking about how we adapt our methods to suit the time of year and sun strength etc, noticed you went in with the air blower before drying the bodywork - wouldn’t have time to do that in high summer but that’s the method I prefer to save splashing water all over the panels that you’ve just dried 🤦🏻
Thanks very much Steve! The sidewall on the PS5's are really cool, managed to get them for the same price as the PS4's so I was very pleased about that! That's really true, it's nice not to be rushing around trying to stop products drying out in the warm weather although I do have to admit I miss the lighter nights. I sometimes have to do my maintenance washes in the dark and having to make do with an outside light now and it feels a bit miserable 😂
@@AutoCareHQ I know exactly what you mean, don’t you think that a freshly cleaned car looks much better in the Autumn/Winter compared to Summer? In the Summer the car can be covered in dust after half a day, not to mention all the bugs! ☹️
The car looks lovely Heather, I would be curious to see how your ceramic coating compares to Gyeon CanCoat which has the same durability and is also supposed to be very easy to apply with a microfibre cloth.
Thanks very much Simon! I did consider CanCoat actually, the only thing that put me off was that it says it can't get wet for 12 hours which is a bit hard to guarantee with this climate and no garage! 😂
@@AutoCareHQ That is exactly the reason why I didn't use Cancoat yet. Also seems a great product but I would go crazy waking up in the morning finding that it was raining during night or the car covered in morning dew🥴
The timing of this video couldn't have been better . Great video and great job on the car. I bought myself some Autoglym ceramic spray ( similar in ease of use), and I will see how it fairs. Quick question: Did you go down the ceramic path because it's more durable than some of the waxes you've tried in previous videos ie I remember you being very impressed by fusso wax. many thanks
Thanks for watching! Yep the durability was the main draw really. The performance of the Pyramid car care ceramic coating I put on the MG HS that I clean every couple of weeks has been really impressive so it made me want to try a ceramic on my car. Only reason I didn't go for that is because I wasn't ready to commit to a 3 year coating yet!
Looking great Heather.. The car I mean 😳. You always seem to have such attention to detail when cleaning the car.. do you ever find you can't be arsed when you've already started and do a half-arsed job? 😅
Cheers Ross! Haha I reckon if I filmed multiple vids in a week I'd probs feel like that, I usually have just enough energy to do a proper job when leave a week between filming 😂
First time watching and as a fellow detailer, I really loved this. I don't do UA-cam but I'd follow for sure - do you have an Instagram for the miata? Great work!
As a Fiat 124 Spider owner, really enjoyed this video. Purely out of interest as love them both, what influenced the decision of RF over the soft top? Great video
Fantastic job and those Infinity Wax Synergy products seem very interesting think I'll give them a try in the future. In preparation to use those would it be ok to use something like Chemical Guys Clean Slate to remove all previous sealants/waxes etc before applying the Infinity Wax spray on ceramic coating? I had my car ceramic coated with CarPro CQUARTZ 2.0 in January so would all this be overkill...?
Thanks very much! I'd go for the Garage Therapy Decon Shampoo instead of Clean Slate. I've tried that one before and it's not a patch on the decon shampoo from my experience. I reckon that it'd probs be overkill if your car is already coated to be honest. If you find the water behaviour dying off a bit you can give it a wash with that Decon Shampoo and it should help to unclog it and revive it a lot. I've heard good things about CarPro Reload too so that might be a good option to top up the protection if it needs it
nice job Heather, SL is on my to do list at some point, but having too much fun with other IW products, but the Soul Crystal Red looks amazing 😎. I'm assuming you need to bin the pad and towels post application, or reduce them to wheels only afterwards??
Thanks Iain! I'll keep you posted on SL, could be a good one to try at some point. Yep I've kept the applicators and towels but am just using them for tyres/ trim/ arches now. They've not hardened up horrendously but I definitely wouldn't risk using them on the paint again
Great video Heather. Do you find greenstar cuts through the dirt better than stjarnagloss forst? Really interested in this type of coating for my own car. Will be good to see how durable it is as its not expensive👌🏼
Greenstar is an APC, will cut through more but potentially caustic. Forst is very expensive. Just use a citrus pre-wash or use greenstar. Or use ONR before hand, blast away with water and then use prewash
Thanks Chris! I've only ever used Greenstar at 10% and found it cuts through pretty much everything to be honest. Forst is a lot more expensive so it's best just for using on really grubby areas rather than pre-washing everything as it can get a bit pricey. Greenstar is phosphate/ NTA free and has corrosion inhibitors whereas it doesn't say anything about that on the Stjarnagloss website so Forst could even be more caustic than Greenstar, especially consider you only need to use it at 10%
@@taylorthrall7321 Use Surfex HD from Bilt Hamber. Bio degradable, no caustic. Water based and class leading. Cuts through grime and road traffic easily. Very versatile and cost effective.
Must admit you made an excellent job of your car Heather , seems a shame to drive it during the winter months. Another interesting video though well done..
The mazda looks stunning Heather, whenever u sell it the buyer will get a very looked after car. I know you've used GT 3 CERAMIC Spray on another car in the past so how does the Infinity spray compare? Cheers
Thanks very much James! The GT CS is definitely more of sealant and the durability claim is about 5-6 months so much less than this coating (but time will tell how long this lasts!). I'd probably say the GT CS feels a bit slicker, but the hydrophobics are pretty similar. I think they cost roughly the same price for a 100 ml bottle of Synergy Lite and 500 ml bottle of CS
The Detail Factory tyre brush is excellent, much better than the Tuf Shine etc which in my opinions are far too stiff & ok for others peoples cars but not mine.
Thank you! I don't really like having the pressure washer out in the rain and I don't have anywhere to put it undercover so I don't risk it personally!
Hello Heather, I wondered if you could to a comparison over 6 months of Soft99 glass treatment v Yum Glass +. So far I don't think anyone has done this! Many thanks 🙂
2nd Thanks God we don't have to do winter prep because we are in the Caribbean, but have to do other stuff like preparing cars for those who have them close to the beach
@@AutoCareHQ Thanks for the reply, most are still out of service, I resorted to using Mckee's N-914 Rinseless wash followed up with Polish Angel Cosmic Spritz as a drying aid on my ceramic coated car and got excellent results.
Hi Heather, I’ve got the quick release trigger spray gun, but I notice in your video you are using a different nozzle when spraying, rinsing the car. where do you get that wider black nozzle ?
Thanks Rodney! That's such a pain, I'd be absolutely gutted if we had one here. I'd avoid the roadside/ automatic ones and try and get a detailer round if you can. Are the self-service car washes at supermarkets/ garages open? That'd probs be my choice if they are
There's a garage around the corner with a jetwash , so was thinking of taking my own bucket of water an shampoo and just using there jetwash to pre- rinse then rinse after contact wash 👍👍
Nice 😄 Which nozzle do you use? in the link of your short trigger gun i only see green, white, yellow red. Do you use black? I would also like to buy a short gun with the correct nozzle.
Hey, sorry I forgot to list it in the description. I use the 40 degree carscope nozzle and the 25 degree In2Detailing nozzle (although I measured it and it's probably closer to 15 degrees)
Hi, I have a Mx-5 and I like your wheels on this video. It only has four lugs which I’m curious I’ve never noticed that some have four lugs compared to mine with a five. Mines a 2007. Can you tell me or do you know what wheel that is? I would like to look it up? Thank you.
Hey, yeah they switched back to a 4 lug on the ND. These are Japan Racing JR28 wheels, they do them in 5 lug patterns and quite a few offsets and sizes too 😊
Hi wonder if u could help me as I've got a a nilfisk core 140 but only 100 bar is normal pressure and was wondering what was normal running pressure for k4
That's a fair comment haha. I always like to film the winter prep process on my car but it's never nearly as dirty as other cars I usually have on the channel as I clean it weekly. This focus of this one is more on the protection rather than the cleaning like my other vids

Thanks Adrian! Tell me about it, I really miss when it went dark after 9!
That Infinity Wax looks like a great solution for those of us without a garage but looking for something more permanent through the winter months and beyond with the rapid curing time. Thanks for the review Heather.
Thanks very much for watching Barry!
I've just done my winter prep, with Fusso, but my parents Qashqai needs something, and that only gets cleaned if I do it, so maybe this IW product could be a possibility, and it'll allow me to try something new 🤔
Thanks Lee! It's a good one to try, I'm really enjoying it so far. Not super expensive either!
Your wee Mazda's paint looks like you could dive into it Heather. I'm sure if you went to a Mazda MX5 meets it would definitely get a great deal of attention.
Cheers Paul I appreciate that! I've not actually been to any car meets before but I'd like to go to one next year :)
Hello auto Care HQ love your car datailing vidéo and Chanel and i Also love all your product and effort to make différents types off car datailing vidéo nice tanks
Thank you very much!
Lovely result 👍🏻
Great to hear your thoughts on Synergy lite, it seems like a really appealing option!
Thank you! It's ticking all the boxes for me so far!
Thanks Viktor! It's performing very well so far so I'm hopeful that it'll continue to over winter!
Great result once again👍
Thank you! :)
Thanks for watching Andy. Haha this is my designated car washing outfit 😂
Mazda is looking great ! Ready for Winter 👍
Thank you!
@@stevec1097 That's so true, the dust in summer is such a pain!
Thanks for the video. My shop is in the States, and I like using American made products.
Thanks for watching!
@@AutoCareHQ GYeon Can Coat is excellent, you can avoid any problems weatherise by laying down a coat of Gyeon Cure after about 1 hour. 👍🏻
@@AutoCareHQ Haha.. I imagine actually filming it is a bit of a motivator to be fair.
First time watching and as a fellow detailer, I really loved this. I don't do UA-cam but I'd follow for sure - do you have an Instagram for the miata?
Great work!
Thanks very much! I don't actually have an account just for the car, I just have my autocarehq account :)
I don’t use the tuff shine brush either it’s to aggressive unless I’m stripping
I use a vikan
The Vikan brushes look brill
I've heard good things about CarPro Reload too so that might be a good option to top up the protection if it needs it
Your lucky we are still on a water ban down here in Kent .
nice job Heather, SL is on my to do list at some point, but having too much fun with other IW products, but the Soul Crystal Red looks amazing 😎.
@@AutoCareHQ i thought that would be the case, thanks for the info.
Really good video, you talk a lot of sense and produce fab results ☝🏻🤌🏻
Another good one video. 👍
Thank you 😊
Must admit you made an excellent job of your car Heather , seems a shame to drive it during the winter months. Another interesting video though well done..
Thanks Nick! I'm not doing a lot of miles at the moment to be honest so it stays pretty clean fortunately!
@@AutoCareHQ thanks for replying Heather. Both quality British products developed for our cold, wet winter.
Hey great videos. I have a few questions, do you garage your miata and if so have you ever had to unclog the rain / water drains and how often?
it looks brand new
Those wheels really suits your car! A little red rocket...
The Detail Factory tyre brush is excellent, much better than the Tuf Shine etc which in my opinions are far too stiff & ok for others peoples cars but not mine.
Nice car, great video have a great week from the 🇺🇸
Thanks Mike, you too!
I love the colour of your Mx5, it looked lovely in the winter sun! Is it bad to wash your car in the rain?
Thank you! I don't really like having the pressure washer out in the rain and I don't have anywhere to put it undercover so I don't risk it personally!
@@AutoCareHQ Thanks for the advice 😀
Hello Heather, I wondered if you could to a comparison over 6 months of Soft99 glass treatment v Yum Glass +. So far I don't think anyone has done this! Many thanks 🙂
Hi Heather. Don't know if you follow matt at high peak Autos but he just posted a great review of the small but mighty mx5👍
Awwww that looks amazing can you do my golf mk7 gt 👍👍
Great video, what did you use on the disks to stop the rusting?
Thanks! It’s Bilt Hamber Atom Mac at a 1:20 dilution with distilled water

Thanks God we don't have to do winter prep because we are in the Caribbean, but have to do other stuff like preparing cars for those who have them close to the beach
Thanks for watching :)
Excellent job Heather, down here in the south Westmill have a hosepipe ban so how do you suggest going about a winter decon/prep wash ? Cheers
Thanks David! Have you got any garage/ supermarket self-service car wash places nearby? I think they're still allowed to operate during a hosepipe ban
@@AutoCareHQ Thanks for the reply, most are still out of service, I resorted to using Mckee's N-914 Rinseless wash followed up with Polish Angel Cosmic Spritz as a drying aid on my ceramic coated car and got excellent results.
Hola. The blow drying is cool to watch but loud to listen to. Would be nice if you scaled the volume back a bit
Very nice
Thanks 😊
Hi Heather, I’ve got the quick release trigger spray gun, but I notice in your video you are using a different nozzle when spraying, rinsing the car.
where do you get that wider black nozzle ?
Hey, apologies I forgot to list it in the description. It's the 40 degree nozzle from carscope
Wow , looks amazing Heather. I'm still on a hosepipe ban 😡 might have to bite the bullet and use a car wash , whats yr thoughts ? Xx
@@rodneyblenkin2384 That sounds like a good plan!
@@AutoCareHQ thanks Heather yr a star 🌟
Nice 😄 Which nozzle do you use? in the link of your short trigger gun i only see green, white, yellow red. Do you use black? I would also like to buy a short gun with the correct nozzle.
Hey, sorry I forgot to list it in the description. I use the 40 degree carscope nozzle and the 25 degree In2Detailing nozzle (although I measured it and it's probably closer to 15 degrees)
Hello heather do you have a van carrying all your equipments?
Nope I don't do any professional detailing atm :)
It needs Krown antitrust treatment.
Hey, what attachment have you got on the short trigger, looks like a nice wide angle. 👍🏼
It's the 40 degree one from carscope :)
@@AutoCareHQ ❤️👍🏼🙂
Hi, I have a Mx-5 and I like your wheels on this video. It only has four lugs which I’m curious I’ve never noticed that some have four lugs compared to mine with a five. Mines a 2007. Can you tell me or do you know what wheel that is? I would like to look it up? Thank you.
Hey, yeah they switched back to a 4 lug on the ND. These are Japan Racing JR28 wheels, they do them in 5 lug patterns and quite a few offsets and sizes too 😊
@@AutoCareHQ thank you very much. This video just came up in my recommended.
which company makes those wheels they are soo cool? I would like to get something like those for my car
They're Japan Racing JR28's (hyper black) jr-wheels.com/category/jr28
Oh Japan Racing! I was also thinking about getting JR wheels, but I didn t realise that was their logo
😍😍😍
i drive my RF all winter
Hi wonder if u could help me as I've got a a nilfisk core 140 but only 100 bar is normal pressure and was wondering what was normal running pressure for k4
Hey, I’m not actually sure what the running pressure is on the K4. I know the max is 130 bar but I’d imagine it’s running lower than that
Sometimes I think the car is so prestine clean I won't even take it out of the driveway..
Great video but I must say look like you are obsessed with your own car cleaning a car which is already clean...Good luck and enjoy life!
That's a fair comment haha. I always like to film the winter prep process on my car but it's never nearly as dirty as other cars I usually have on the channel as I clean it weekly. This focus of this one is more on the protection rather than the cleaning like my other vids
new to your channel great content and your one hell of a presenter so informative great work
Thanks very much David!
After doing this, put the car aside and admire it like a static model. Never drive it ever as dents abd scratches will happen
One drive on that gravel and youre back to dirty again☹
And then a pigeon with stomach problems fly above
