Scrub-a-dub-dub and very worthy of your efforts Heather, that was one dirty A1. The transformation is now like a new car, well we would not expect anything less. I think you have started a trend with spraying snow foam over a citrus pre-wash as it works so well.

You look to have done a great job on this Audi Heather. It looked so much better after your treatment. Would have been even better vid to see more of the car afterwards , like full side view and bonnet etc. Overall a really good enhancement.
nice work Heather. I did a white A1 with black gloss roof external detail recently for a friend, and thought it would be easy for me as I always do bigger vehicles like my Outback. Wow was i wrong.....took more than 5 hours, and i was knackered at the end & fitbit was pleading mercy!.
Thank you! Haha it always takes more effort on a car you don’t own, there’s so many extra things to do to get them back up to standard that you don’t need to worry about on a weekly wash
Superb job. I like how you explain the part your doing and then let the video roll without excessive talking. A lot of times, seeing the process play out is better than an explanation. Question: Have you ever had a pre-wash soap stain the paint or black plastic trim? I just did on the paint. Had to polish it out. Aggravating. How many mil thick are your gloves? I tried cheaper thinner gloves, and they tear. Ok. Great video. Enjoyed Heather.
Thanks Kim 😊 I’ve not had that fortunately, which product was it? I’m not too sure on the gloves, I don’t think they’re that thick though as they do tear fairly often

That was a very tidy makeover in the hands of an expert with more products that I have not come across. I have recently had the pleasure of looking after another three of my neighbours cars and another bought a new car and now wants to discuss what is best for it's protection. It's just a pity that the days are shorter and dry days are at a premium. My latest favourite product is Gyeon Cure as a topper to Gyeon Wax that I use on cars other than my own as the water behaviour stands out and the topper just enhances it and is so easy to use. I can't get over people allowing their cars to be covered in bird lime but I guess that is where detailers make a living.
Thanks very much John. Yep the shorter days are very annoying. Gyeon Wax looks really cool, I’d like to give it a try. This car was unfortunately recently parked under a tree but it was only a few days before so luckily it hadn’t caused any irreversible damage
It’s always tough with a one stage correction on what looked like typical hard Audi paint - a good result. The customer was happy - that’s the main thing!
Wow!! What a transformation!! That looked pretty crusty before you worked your magic! You make it look so easy….your knowledge of what products to use and even combine in some situations is amazing….I have that Dragons Breath product but have been a bit wary of using it so far, but knowing I can use it along with shampoo and citrus pre wash seems like a safe option…..when you sprayed it on the body panels, you didn’t wipe with anything, just spray on, wait a bit, then rinse off…..is that right? Thanks for sharing your expertise…..always a real pleasure to watch you work. Cheers ❤
Thank you very much! Dragon's Breath isn't super strong really so I've never had trouble with it. Yep for the iron decon step I just sprayed and then rinsed after the dwell time
Thats is a wonderful result. Interested in your comment about acidic shampoo, i have the IW on the shelf and never use it, cos i dont have a coated car, so it was good to see it being used for other reasons. I'll try it on dad's car ASAP. All the best 👍

Thanks very much Stephen! That's a good question tbf, there's not necessarily a straightforward answer though haha. Ideally it's best to stick to the same brand to be sure they'll work well together but many products from different brands work well together too. Applying a panel wipe solution before layering any sealants is a good idea, just to make sure no residue is causing problems. There's also the risk of overloading the paintwork with too many products which can then lead to streaking etc. I think using a stronger sealant/ coating every 4-6 months, and then topping up with either a spray and rinse sealant or QD every month is about right for most vehicles
@@AutoCareHQ thank you very much for sharing your wisdom, good idea re sticking to a single brand and I guess fundamentally, all of these products are safe to use on cars so it is unlikely that they cause any damage when combined. Keep the great content coming. 👍
Hello Heather. Great video as ever and very informative. One question - what are the plates under the wheels and who supplies them.. seems like a great idea as I have to wash my car on a gravel surface.
They are from a company called RimMats, they are brilliant as they raise the car slightly, so you can avoid muck spraying back up off the ground. Also allows you to dress the whole tyre, as there’s usually a little section of the tyre on the ground you can’t really get to. Once you’ve used them a couple of times you’ll wonder how you went without them, I use them on all vehicles now
Thank you! If the readings are below 80 microns I would be a bit more concerned and would generally avoid anything too heavy. On newer cars though it can be a bit tricker, I was ceramic coating a brand-new Mazda earlier this year which only had 50-60 microns from factory which is absolutely terrible. With that vehicle I just did a very light machine polish to remove clay marring (fortunately it wasn't washed at the dealership so no major scratches) so in this case I was only removing about 1 micron

Hi how do manage to keep your wheel brush keep it's shape? As mine ends up flat. Where can I get a proper wheel brush from. As I got dimandcut wheels I'm for ever cleaning them.😊
I hang it up to dry so I think that helps. I usually use this microfibre brush on diamond cut wheels unless the gap is very small (less than 4cm): carscope.co.uk/products/car-wheel-barrel-brush Otherwise the EZ brush (linked in the description) is the best I've used
If your brush has gone flat, stand it in a bucket of hot water and it should return to original shape, then hang it up to dry. Search EZ brushes and you will find lots of suppliers.
I use a clay bar myself when cleaning my car but many ''pros'' tend to use a cloth now? Works the same but adds more grip? Can you tell me why you use a bar and not a cloth?

Hello Heather, where are you based please? I would like to have my 2005 Audi A3 get the same treatment as in this video. My car have been ceramic coated in May this year
Hey, I'm based in the North West. I'm a bit confused though if you're car has been ceramic coated this year it should have had a machine polish before it was applied?
@@AutoCareHQ you are absolutely correct, however there are few more paint corrections that needs doing, also i will get another ceramic coat treatment in the 3rd year, hopefully with you. Had my Audi waxoyled too.
Things like this are standard for any decent professional cleaning a car, and are especially important when preparing a car for polishing. Last thing you want is mud dust and debris landing on the paint from the vibration of the polisher and then introducing more scratches.
I do the arches on every car, it just ruins the look when someone comes to collect it if there is mud in there. Especially with this level of detail though it would be very odd to have dirty wheel arches on a car that I had spent 5+ hours on
