  • Discover how to make a smokeless tabletop fire pit from a stainless steel water bottle!
This smokeless wood burning camp stove is quick and easy to make. We've made two so far and the heat does not warp the top, which means you can easily screw the lid on to carry your tabletop fire pit with you! Pre-stuff it with kindling and you're ready to start a quick fire wherever you go.

I'm looking forward to version 2, I can see there is a lot of places to make the vacuum better and generally create a hotter burn. Good luck with it.

Thanks. We have some interesting ideas on how to improve the design. We'll post a new video when we get it figured out so you can make your own.

As soon as I heard you say using a double-walled bottle as the base. I immediately thought you're a genius straight genius. Why didn't I think of that?
Can't wait to see version2 And try a couple of my own.

Make sure you have your fuel below the secondary combustion top holes, or your stove won't burn properly from smoke, and soot. It will burn cleaner if you keep your fuel below the holes. I hope this helps! Great gasifier bottle stove! :) Hand sanitizer is also a great fuel starter, and for soaking your wood in. That makes a wood gas alcohol stove all in one.

    Hi Guys.
I love your idea to use ta doble lair bottle to do a portable wood gas stove. I would suggest to make a new bottle with holes on the bottom of inside part and holes only on the out wall 1/2 inch above the holes from the inside bottle on the lateral wall to create vacuum suction of the wood gas when the outside walls get hot from the fire🔥 sucking all the wood gas, mixing to the air and burning on the top hole burners. This way creating a more efficient and hotter stove.
Please let me know if you like the idea.
    Thank you
    Wagner

That's a very interesting idea. If I understand you correctly, you mean to have the holes offset on the vertical walls to create the suction you mentioned.
In case you mean to drill the very bottom of the inner layer, I'm not inclined to drill holes at the bottom of the bottle because it would be problematic to remove the ashes, although, fine stainless steel mesh could help keep the ashes from sifting down.
Please let me know exactly what you mean. I am truly interested to try out a different approach as the design is not yet 100% smokeless.

If you get a single wall stainless steel bottle water, it can be used as a cook pot that looks almost identical to the stove.

you could use the bottom half of another bottle to invert and use as a cook to by drilling holes in the bottom half and inverting it on the top of the fire pit useful for heating water or a small pan for a quick meal

We’ve been thinking of different ways to use it for heating/cooking. Thanks for the suggestion!
