I DIY my Lambretta tubeless but I always find it tricky with the rim protectors supplied. Yours look far better. I’ll make some up for my next refit. Thanks for the idea.
No worries mate! A mate also had a good suggestion of using a section of garden hose or harder 19mm irrigation poly hose split along its length to slide over the rim as the circular shape will help to grip to the rim. I'll probably give that a try next time myself!
I'm using 2.1 x 10'' rims for both my smallie (3.00 x 10 tyres) and PX200 (3.5 x 10 tyres). Its possible to get 2.5 x 10 rims but IMO only really required if you want to play around with wider tyres like the 100/80 x 10 or 100/90 x 10 assuming there is enough room to clear the scooter frame swing arm for increased tyre radius.
Certainly made short work of that, but I wonder how much swearing that jump-cut covered up 🙂 I've got really into using red rubber grease as a tyre lube - same as you use on brake systems. Nice and slippy, but with enough tack to it that it makes it easier to stop the opposite corner lifting when you're levering. 10" vespa wheels are such a pain, they're so small that putting any pressure on the rim makes it move about, and getting the second side off is a pain as you've got no leverage to peel it down. Rather do the honking great things on my Africa Twin!

Nice one, this is excellent! I need to do this, really handy!
Very helpful video, I bought a pair of pirelli angel 3.00-10 for my small frame vespa. What size rims do I need for this to work ?
