He seems so scared to do this song, god love him. I cant imagine how it felt standing just waiting for the highest part to kick in. He’s amazing in every way, regardless 💜💜
I love this Band and especially this composition. But for my taste it‘s too much playback behind when playing live 😉 It would be nice if the mix (sound) would be better - the difference to the studio version is too big ❤️
They started off as just a ‘session’ band so doing songs live was never gonna be a thing for them so it wouldn’t be a worry for Jonah (who regardless is incredible) if he was unable to perform the song as well as recorded but yes he does seem very tensed up which for a singer (from experience) is the worst. You sing with your whole body and if any of you is tense it can hurt the sound. But yes henrik is always so casual and aron doesn’t need to worry about the drums sounding the same. All the pressure was put on Jonah.
I agree with you but as a singer myself I can totally understand Jonah. It is A a really hard song to sing, B it is an emotional song for everyone which makes singing even harder, C it might be one of the first times to play this song live. Some songs just take a few concerst until they are save
@@BeyzilMusics I am also a singer of around 17 years and in my opinion it isn’t that difficult to sing when broken down. It’s just about having control over your breath, power and obviously being able to hit the high notes but other than the last part it is a pretty straight forward song. As for the live part and only singing it for the first time, for the years I’ve sang solo and in bands, you always rehearse a song beforehand, especially a song that requires a bit more power in your voice and in fact your entire body, you would rehearse it several times over. I just think he wasn’t prepared to do this song live as they were just a session/studio band and I don’t doubt his incredible talent in the slightest I just think that it’s maybe a bit too much. Nothing against Jonah. I love him to pieces, he’s an inspiration to me and I have sang this song and it really requires repetition to get it just ‘lagom’ but yea I see your points too 🙂
I know it’s a ballad but come on Henrik, show some life onstage! I think these guys are incredible but I think we can all admit their live presentation needs some work….their music is so dynamic but the way they perform it lacks that same dynamism. Put Aron in the middle like a rock band would, so Jonas and Henrik don’t look so isolated up there….visually this just isn’t working for me

Could tell Jonah was very worried about this song seeing as he probably never thought he would do it live and his whole body just tensed up

I saw them live last week in Utrecht and their live presentation has certainly improved!
