I tried cleaning it out per your instructions, and there was a little blue thread in there, so I kept pulling it and found my favorite Wolverines sweater I lost last year! Thanks!
Ha ha ha .... funny :-D
LMAOO
Can you say how
Lol haha
WHAT!?
I completely thought my tablet was dead for years..right when i was about to get rid of it I decided to give it one last shot and came across your video..I used the toothbrush method and its ALIVE! Thank you!
Same rn wish me luck
IT BECAME SENTIENT

I'm watching on my sis ipad@@user-wu7df7nn7
We are on the same page

Thank you sir ... I don't have money to buy anything ...I brought my tablet my lots of saving...
My tab was not charging... I tried that shaking of cable and boom I shocked and with excitement.... My tab started charging!
Lots of blessings bro !
Does it still charges?
Well presented video- thanks.
There’s one other “ trick “ if possibly the Tablet won’t charge coz you’ve not used it in a while…
Press and Hold the power button, while inserting microUSB plug / cord into tab.
Then wait 30 seconds
Release power button
Try this repeatedly. I cannot say why this has worked for me on many devices- my conjecture is that initially the device senses NO Or Defective Battery ( so it doesn’t charge )
However applying power AS IT IS RECEIVING A Startup command - causes Tab to accept power.
Once u get a little power in… it then doesn’t assume missing/defective battery.
Just my $00.02 !
Greg
This didn't work for me either but I still appreciate you giving me one more thing to try
Hey thanks this work for me.
Thanks Gregory your 2 cents worth was priceless for me, it worked straight away. Stay awesome 😂
this worked! my tablet wasn't charging at all, no clue why bc i use it regularly and everything else seemed fine! ur amazing tho ty 🙏🙏
thanks! worked :)
Fantastic! Used the end of the flosser that you have there to clean the port and a whole lot of dirt was removed. Prior to this it would sometimes charge fast, sometimes slow, and sometimes not at all. Thank you!
Immediately I looked around for similar plugs, what I call my "bag of tricks," and found one that worked. Excellent video. Thank you for your help!
I thought I was going to go take my samsung ipad to the tech to get it fixed. I tried everything but nothing worked. I saw you say to grab the charging cable and wiggle it. Low and behold it worked. I so thankful for your simple idea of wiggling the cable by the port cause it automatically turned on. Thanks, pretty awesome advice!
samsung ipad?
Cleaning worked - I used a "soft-pick" toothpick with plastic tapering bristles - worked great. Thanks for taking the time to run through it -
Even after 3 years i did this on my tab 8 worked well, did the little tooth pick thing, but instead of a toothpick i used the back of one of those dental floss sticks. Very helpful, don't smoke, don't drink and drive, and stay beautiful.
Awesome it worked. You save my time taking it to the service center in this lockdown situation. A big thank you.
I tried everything. Plugging it into my laptop worked! Thanks!!
Thank you. I read the comments first and it worked.
Thanks, this worked for me!!
I changed wall sockets and it works.I thought because I hadn't used it for a couple of months it wouldn't charge but it's great thanks.
Thank you. I had tried everything you said but when you said to try a toothpick, then a toothbrush but to also try the toothpick again it was then able to charge. I'm terminally ill and I'm restricted to being at home alone. My tablet is my connection to the world and a way to distract myself from chronic pain. Thank you once again.
Sorry to hear about your situation. I'm glad you were able to get the tablet started❤.
Gentle tootbrush swipes inside the port worked for my S4 not charging! Some dust or lint must have gotten stuck in there but toothbrush did its job.
A port replacement would have involved a complete teardown of the S4 with a heat gun and it is a very tricky and risky operation because if not done carefully the display could easily break in the process and make matters worse. I am so glad I could avoid it. 🎉
Thanks a lot pal 👍
Seems a simple restart fixed the intermittent no charging issue on my sons 2020 Tab A7 10.4 . Who'd of thought.
Wish I tried the Restart before purchasing a replacement usb-c charging port for the mobo! Lol
If you determine its your cord... (great tips in the video by the way)
If your device uses mico USB, the type which requires you to plug in one way unlike USB-C, then try the following. A faulty micro-USB end, while very small, the two long sides can bend and expand, making it too wide to get a good connection. This is why, sometimes, you can jiggle the cord, or pull it in a certain direction and it works if you hold it there. The idea is to fix the bent, expanded connector sides to get a good seal when plugged in...How to try to fix:
Using your fingers or thumb, push the two long sides of the end of the plug together. Very slight amount, usually just enough to feel it. Now try to plug it back in. It may fix the issue and your cord is fine. If you've compressed them too much, the cord won't go in. If you didn't get enough correction, try again. Iterate till you feel like
This also works on USB-A cords, the big flat end that goes into the power port of chargers.
I did the blow. And wallah... I have charging.... Many thanks.
This video really helped! My tablet has been stuck at 24% for months and I kept forgetting that I needed to fix it until today. Can't believe all I needed was to restart it for it to charge lol
Same i put mine in but it doesn't charge i waited 30 mins its still at 16
Don't know if restarting really works for me yet, but so far so good. It's been charging and stopping. So I'll see. I assumed a bad connector
I can't believe you said 24 percent? That is exactly where mine is stuck at
Mine stocked at 0%😭
After going through so many chargers, I think this video might have helped me thank you!
Thank you, thank you. You helped me solve the issue of my tablet not charging. It was the wall adaptor causing the problem.
Thanks for posting...Tried all of the steps, but my Tab A is still not charging. I know the cable and outlet are good because I can charge other devices with them. One step I would urge caution on is blowing into the charging port--another video I watched said to not do that as that can introduce moisture into the charging port.
Hi. Same here. Did you change the nest?
My wasn't charging I restarted it an its charging thanks
Yeah its not advisable.. if you must use air current to get it out I'd advise using a cool fan or even a hairdryer very briefly would be better than blowing saliva onto the moisture sensor pin
Mines isn't fixable so same here
people used to blow into videogame cartridges as a kid, and it was always bad and damaging lol - people just didn't know better back then - nowadays, the internet is more organized with thousands of articles out there that explain why it's such a bad idea
I'd expect such bad advice from a 9yo, but seeing it come from a "tech channel" instantly makes me want to avoid any other vids from here
1:05 I searched for hours and this finally worked. This man is a genius
Thank you for this! My tablet would charge from my laptop but not from the wall. So, I did as you said taking out the wall adapter and put it into another outlet. Turns out that was the problem. I've never had that issue with the tablet not charging with the outlet by my bed. I guess it doesn't have enough juice to charge my tablet.
My mother recently passed away
... i bought her a used Samsung Tablet feom a pawnshop about 3 years ago.. i inherited her whole estate..the lightning bolt symbol keeps flashing on and off ever 5 -10 secs.. its about 7-8 years old probably by now(charging input it at top of unit).. im not sure as i bought it for her right before i left for the ARMY as i was training to be an Army Combat Medic(and succeeded 🙂)
I got out a year and a half ago and now i work as i work in the heathcare field now as a Paramedic...i have tried 3 different MUSB cables.. 3 different wall adapters.. apple, samsung and generic and STILL just foes the same thing.. im thinking the Power Eource maybe gone bad.. anyways.. would appreciate the help as id like to preserve and hand over to my kids one day as an heirloom..❤❤❤
Omg it worked thanks so much!!! After viewing 10-15 vids with no outcome I finally found your video and it worked! Tysm.
My Charging screen shows and gets down.
Phones confuse me. If they're batteries are so low that they can't turn on then how do they have enough battery to show if they are charging?
please im having the same problem rn
Tried cleaning out, also used different charging cables with different charging ports in different plug sockets and still not charging. I tried a reset of the app preference too. Still no joy
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 OMG... It's working... It's charging. I moved the cable around, then changed it, then swapped out the power brick. I think it was both the cable and the brick. Thanks!
Bro may God bless you imma subscribe since you helped me so much tysm ❤❤
Good stuff - thanks. I just got my phone less than 2 weeks ago, and thought I had to take it back. Thank you!
After following your instructions for cleaning, I was finally able to get it to charge again. Thanks!
Wow. Thank you! I was getting an icon showing that it's basically not detecting the charger so I didn't know that blowing in it would actually fix the issue 😂 but It worked. Thanks so much because I was about to take it to a store to get it fixed and God knows I don't have the money to do that right now.
Thanks bro I was completely stressing and now you helped me .. omg
None of these work. My tablet says I need to use the charger provided with the tablet, which got damaged. No other chargers/outlets/cables/charging blocks work. Restarting does not work. Even tried another Samsung charger. Nope. It has to be the one provided with the tablet. There has got to be another solution. Next tablet I get won't be a Samsung. Junk.
I know right. Like I tried changing the cable over 5 times and it didn't work!
You really helped me out, becasue I did not think of using a brush, it turns out that and noticing the charger connection was overheating, and blowing cool air into it after brushing it throughly got it to start working again! Thank you so much for posting this vid, bless you sir!
thank you for posting this it was very easy to understand and it worked now i play on my tablet again 🙂🙃
Plugging into my laptop worked! Thank you! ☺️
Thanks my friend, sorted my tab out 😃
1
thank you!!! It took a few minutes but it works! Thanks for reviving my old tablet ❤
Good advice. I think you should mention that the charging port in the notepad also could be loose. But excellent advice!
Thank you for teaching🙂🙂
It worked man...the power + volume down button ..thank you
Wiggle the cable worked. Thanks.
Thank you soooo muchhh🥰🥰🥰🥰
Worked...bent forward, waited 10 sec it showed a number I put a rubber band around the cable and pulled it to the opposite corner..slow charge but it's not dead.
Most likely just need a new cable
THANK YOU SO MUCH MY TABLET IS CHARGING YOU R AWESOME
I did the toothbrush and the wiggle trick, and it worked! Thank you, sir!
it worked!!! i thought i can't use my tablet anymore since it's a very old model (samsung tab 2 10.1) and i haven't using it since 2018/2019 i guess (??) because it stopped charging. i tried every method u showed and the last one worked for me !! thankyou sm
I'm really starting to stress out over this, I plug mine in overnight to charge at 20% then i open it the next day at 41% this is happening more and more often and also, it charges 1% every 6mins, it also doesn't charge while I'm on it even though it's supposed to. I think my tablet is just breaking and idk if this is from the charger or from the tablet, i really really need help, please
Yeah...!! Same thing happens with me
If you haven't already try restarting it. My tablet would very slowly charge to 24% and then stay there until I took it off the charger and then it would slowly start losing battery. When I restarted it after watching this video my tablet started charging at a normal speed and would charge to 100%.
Yeah yesterday it charged 1 percent 1min now it charges 2 percent an hour
Are you using a charger and a cord that came with the tablet or are you just using any charger? This video shows him using just any charger and cord and that may be okay to test a charge but go to Walmart or Amazon and find yourself a decent cable, Walmart has some for between $8-15 dollars. Your cord matters and so doesn't your end. If you are using one that is cheap you may get a slow charge. Don't use cords from the dollar stores either. Find a wall plug that isn't one of the tiny square ones like shown here. Also, try another outlet in your house and make sure the outlet itself isn't the issue. I doubt that it is, it's most likely your tablet isn't getting enough juice to charge quickly. Another thing you can do is charge it with it powered off. That should help it charge faster too. Try these things and see if it helps and let me know how things turn out. Good luck.
@@xbrandi12345x thanks for the advice, i've actually tried most of those and I just tried a new charger and it charges normally again, thanks a lot for the advice and all, though ^^
you not talking about fixes, you talking about cowboys lol.. pending the cable can damage the connections on your tablet
YOU SAVED ME SO MUCH MONEY THANK YOU SO MUCH
nope... all done and same. it shows the lightning bolt but isn't actually charging... sat charging with icon the entire night and still dead. Also tried to do the soft reboot and still nothing.
Did you fix it and if you did how did you because mine shows the lightbulb but it wont charge
@@anapadinha907 It took multiple factory defaults. Now it seems fine. Weirdly neither Best Buy or its ilk seemed to think there was anything they could do. I was about to junk it when my nephew, reset it a few times in a row and then turned it completely off, let it sit and then powered back on, now it charges fine... sigh... tech.
@@Goblinmoon so i have to do that?
Thank you so much!! It worked so well and I thought it was broken😂
I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8 2019 I tried the cleaning one My tablet is chargeing but I'll see in half and hour to check if it's charged if it's not I'll do these steps you said
Has it worked yet? Like right now
Thankyou, cleaned out charging port as per your instructionsand very happy to have my tablet charging again.
When i try to charge my dads i see the lightning thing but it flickers
My Tab A does the same thing! Have you found a solution yet?
@@miguelbarrera8052 well my dad bought a new one but he used different cables and it worked
oof, same here
Having the dame trouble with my older Tab A. I have to do wire gymnastics and get the wire a certain was which is different each time plus it is taking too long to charge one it is charging.
Thanks, it worked great 👍
After brush clean my tablet is charging now 😊 thank you so much
Thank you for the help
Thank you SO much! This is a brand new A7 and I believe the culprit is the cable. Sad that I’ve have it only a couple of months and the dang cable is already bad!
Thank you!
I have tried all charging cable, nothing works. Then I watched your video, bending the cable, yes! The thunder symbol appeared.
Thank you so much.
Thanks a lot. It really worked bending it.
I already tried and my tablet is not still charging...I been waiting for hours and it's still 0 percent (correct my grammar)
Just watched this vid. Been having trouble with charging my tab a7 tab. The wall sockets are good, the wall adapters are good, the cords are brand new, the only thing left to do is to take a tooth pick to see if anything is in there. Pretty sure there wasn't when I looked, but maybe something is there that I can't see. With all that said, I do think the battery MAY be shot since on the battery percentage when it is on had an "X" on it?
Figured out that if I put the cord at an angle to the left, it will charge. Why is that?
@@EGORElicious the cord may be broken on the inside. U may need a new cord or it could be the port itself is broken or crooked in a way that leaning it left aligns it.
@@hectorzero8545 UT has to be the tablet because the cord is new 😕
@@EGORElicious sadly I've found new cords that don't work
@@nabgilby it definitely has to be the tablet because it won't charge at all now
You the man!! 😎👌 It was my adapter, had to clean it out
Thank you. Cable was the culprit!!
Thank you so much it was my wall charger
the thing wrong with mine is, when plugged in, theres a red X at the charging area and idk y
I just cleaned out the port and it started charging. Thanks for the help!
Thank you so much
You saved my day!
Nice info for Galaxy tab users.👍
Not sure why a dead device wint charge from a plug socket but seems to work if you charge it from another device like a mobile with an adapter, laptop, TV, internet router or anything with a usb port.
It works! Thank you so much
Wow cheers brother just bent the cable up and it came to life thank you so much
Thank you. Your advise worked and my tablet is charging again.
Omg you helped me I was just playing then the battery's lighting is gone then I found you and you helped me
Will it work if the tab is not used and not charge for a years?
I wonder
theres def an issue with this,, something in the firmware or bios thats making my tablet act up. it decides to not charge and open a bios menu saying that flashing custom os can damage device. then boots into odin mode (maybe recovery tool?). im able to sometimes boot into the os but im on 0% battery so it shuts off immediately.
BLESSSSS YOU MANNNN BLESSS YOU
Thank you for your help
Thank you!
The cable one worked thank you very much
Omg thanks i just had to mess wit a few stuff then it worked
That absolutely worked! Thanks a ton 😊

THANK YOU VERY VERY MUCH BECAUSE OF YOU I FIXED MY BROTHER'S IPAD!!! THANK YOU AGAIN
It worked thank you so much ❤️
OMG - I've had this tablet in a drawer for over a year. Was going to take to repair shop. Tried the toothpick and toothbrush... nothing . But then tried 3 different cables..... it's charging...... genius!!!!! Thank you, Thank you. It will be interesting to see what's on there. Like christmas! Amazing how many Samsung tablets are noted for not charging. Eah??????
Spot on worked a treat
My tablet shows its charging but the battery % doesn't change
Same
Power button was not working, black screen but power charging symbol was showing. Took the back off with a small gadget repair tiny flat head screwdriver by digging in the groves and gently unsnapping the snaps, cleaned charging port with a brush, unplugged and replaced ribbons that had snaps, charged tablet, snapped back cover back in place , started right up. Did not break or crack the screen, just scratched the back a bit starting the gap to separate the cover from the screen. Can't see the scratch after the protective case is back in place. Saved me $199 For another tablet.
It works!!! I tried it! Ur a true youtuber!
Thx this worked for my son's tablet 👍🏾
Your the man I thought ill never open my old tablet
