I got invaded by a sunbro and thought it was a bug. I don’t understand the lore with that and how that counts as jolly cooperation for the sun medal
Jolly Corporation to hunt down the host with the other invaders. The other invader get a sunlight medal too, just like when you get summoned as sunbro
When you invade with a covenant that changes your reward, the game is searching for hosts that are the closest to matching the preferences of the covenant. Sun bros look for worlds with 1 or more invaders already in it. Mound makers look for worlds with the most amount of players in it.

Also worth noting (most people know this but for those that don't), healing/removing the Dark Sigils in your inventory via the Fire Keeper will lock you out of Yuria's questline, and that ending.
I didn’t even see Yuria my second time. I got Yoel, and killed some bosses and he was just dead :(
Level up 5 times with yoel and you will get 5 dark sigils. Yuria will appear when you have 5 dark sigils.

6:00 The new jump animation is pretty good for mindgames. The opponent thinks your a scrub jumping mid combat and might go in for a hit but when you land without rolling, you can attack very quickly afterwards and catch em off guard.
i've done that stuff in pvp, really good with axes or cgs

Holding down triangle, instead of tapping it, will two hand grip your offhand weapon. Didn't find that out 'till half way through the game.
I think he didn't include it here because he did in a ds2 video I only found out after deciding to play ds2 almost A year after I finished ds3

+gear2504 Not just that. It takes weight of your gear into account. I'm at 90% equip load at the moment and can push around even some much larger enemies with my rolls. It makes fatrolling legitimately useful, instead of a "NEVER GET THIS HEAVY" type thing.

+gear2504 It's not size based. It's based on their poise. When you roll near them, it does poise damage. I think that it could also be used to break shield guarding, assuming they have small enough stability. Haven't tried that myself though.

Another little secret is in the HUD selection in the options menu. You can set it to "Auto" which removes the HUD when you're just exploring. Dunno if this was in the other souls games, I've only really played BB. :P Hope this helps!

Two hours seems a bit long if you're on your first ng with silver serpent ring3, shield of want, avarice symbol, and medicant staff killing the thicc angels in Grand Archives. It was a little faster for me because I rapported them, two shotted the winner and rapported the last and killed it
Here's my tip: use a estoc +10 and make sure that your R2 has cobwebs

if you do gestures in front of the fire keeper she reacts in different ways. if you bow, she will too. if you collapse she looks away, and if you do the dragon meditate she does a little spin.

Regarding #9, in DS2 you could stop a jump by hitting R1 and turning it into a plunging attack, there's also at least 3 places where this is necessary to avoid most likely falling to your death. Firstly near the bridge leading to the undead asylum there's a tricky jump with an item on top of a pillar which is extremely hard to land otherwise, again on a ledge above some poison water on the way into Earthen Peak, and also in Dragon Aerie there is a point at which you can fall from one of the ziplines and using the plunging attack while falling ensures you don't roll right off the edge of a precarious rock to your death.
Did you know the only way to make the path of the dragon useful is by equipping the ring you get by praying near a alter in arch dragon peak and using the nameless thing spear now you do 3 times the damage to the soul of cinder with the dragon powers

What impressed me the most was the sheer quality of this particular 1080p 60fps video. It's sharper and clearer that a lot of other 1080p and even 1440p DS3 videos. Kudos to you good sir, if I ever meet you in for real life I'll buy you a beer. I thought was watching a 4K recording for a second.

I just want to get this off my chest. Dark Souls 3 is perhaps one of the greatest games I have ever played in my life. It is a work of art. There is games then there is this. Dark Souls 3 is beyond that. A true masterclass of game design in every aspect. Hidetaka Miyazaki is a one of a kind director. I praise him and all at From Software and Namco. A true gem. Stunning stunning game. By the way not even half way through. LOL
My gripe that it's easy. Maybe for me because I played previous four Soulsborne games.

6:04 I was so happy that they removed the mandatory roll after a jump. There were a lot of places in previous Souls Games where the roll would kill you. :(
The hold d-pad to jump to the first item also applies to spells, hold up d-pad to go straight to your first slotted spell. I always make sure to put my first spell as the one I need the quickest access to.

Something I've noticed, and I've had at least one other person witness as well, is that it seems like you can "clank" weapons with some enemies. I don't know exactly how it works or how to replicate it, but its like (the few times it's happened) you're attacking each other at the same time, you hear a different noise, and the enemy staggers.

You know the sword you are using the exile greatsword. You can get it very easily I.e you can kill those 2 NPC very easily. You just have to run toward that ladder and then use your descend button .Stay there dont move down the NPC will try to attack you and fall off the ladder and die giving you their weapon. I know this is 7 years old, but it's still appreciated and nice to watch as a call back to ds3 since Elden Ring is the main content as of recent. Also its funny that 7 years later I'm using basically the exact same armour in this video (abyss watcher chestplate is too cool)

Some weapons like the Warden Twinblades have a unique kick animation. The twinblades for example have a slash followed by a cartwheel backwards which also kicks. Good for when you want a little quick poke and then put some distance between you and the enemy.

Thank you for this video, there is also another trick, when you are facing a shielded enemy especially when the shield is facing you :
1- Strike it with a weapon the hit is guarded and the enemy will quickly retaliate
2- Use instead a kick (Up + hit), the guard is broken like a parry leaving you this monumental opportunity to use a critical attack (Tried on Irithyll shielded pontifs and dark / Silver knights)
I personally call it a trick since it is not shown on the tutorial

just found out a hidden mechanic today, while wearing the symbol of avarice, players hp will constantly drop, however if the player is turning in covenant items, the drain of of hp would stop until the player finished the conversation.

Missed one! Clicking (Y) two-hands the right-hand weapon, but HOLDING (Y) two-hands the left-hand weapon. Especially helpful for me as a hybrid sorcerer.
Abyss Watchers share blood of the wolf? Presumably Artorias? So they are
bound by some rite that makes them most likely consume or infect them
selves with his blood. This will change them and give them enhanced
agility they are known for.
First abyss watchers might have not
know the fact that Artorias was infected by the Abyss. So every abyss
watcher to follow would unwillingly share his taint. After time they
would obviously learn about this and slay their infected brotheryn. For
the new members curse of the Blood of the Wolf might be worth years or
decades spent fighting against the abyss before succumbing to it. Or as
it happens they may only learn about this after their vows and blood
rite required to join the elite.
The transformation and unison of
abyss watchers actually helps them with their curse. As the lord of
Cinder they are able to constantly separate abyss infected part of
themselves and destroy it although it might be a valiant effort.
Only in second stage of fight they stop this internal conflict to unite once again against the ashen one.

Note, the mage guy will die before you get 5 stacks of the dark sigil if you enter the catacombs (the area after the artorious bosses with funny hats) Had this happen to me, now I have to wait til new game for the hollowing questline...

6:26 that is not jumping puzzle. you are supposed to you pick up that item from the other side...you being able to pick it up this way is just a glith like one similar at the beginning of the game.
