I recommend the shimano scorpion travel rod brand. It is also a 5 piece rod as well. When it is connected, the power and action are the same as casting 1 piece.
For a very long time 2 piece or 3 or 5 pices rods have same sensitivity and power as 1 poece rods but ppl stil avoid them. Personally my fav are one and half piece rods (offset handle).
@aurelianobuendia5360 I also agree with your point of view. 1 piece fishing rod is still relevant because it can be said to be a weak point, especially the joint part. If it is Japanese style, there is a fishing rod type but join. From my own experience, I like to use 2 pieces because it's easy to take it to spots that are quite narrow like in the forest and riding a motorcycle.I still like to use 1 piece fishing rod as well.Usually if a quality 5-piece rod, the price is usually more expensive compared to 1 piece. if you compare it with the same brand, power, model. This is because, it is not easy to create a 4 or 5 piece fishing rod and when connected, the feeling from the strength, action, curve is the same as a 1 or 2 piece rod.Usually, 4 or 5 piece rods are created for specific purposes such as easy to carry and store, such as riding in cars, airplanes and fishing in areas in the forest. That's why 4 or 5 piece fishing rods are called travel rods.In fact, it is not a problem in my opinion if you use a travel fishing rod in a fishing competition because the technology is now very advanced and it is not like before.I am not an expert as a professional angler but I am sharing my knowledge based on experience and the little knowledge I have.
@Refaim.04 yes bro, i was refering to so called one and half piece jdm rods where you can remove handle so its little bit easer to transport when you dont have a big car and the rod is 7'4 or longer
@@aurelianobuendia5360 You're right. Like me, I like to use short fishing rods. Like 6 feet and 6 feet 3 inches. The longest is 6 feet 6 inches. But for long casting, it's best to use a long fishing rod. Like 6 feet 8 inches, 7 feet or more. For me 7 feet is enough and the rest depends on the type of lure.Either 1 piece or 2 pieces. All that, depends on the comfort of the angler.like me, I like to use a rod length of 6 feet 3 inches whether playing for top water and jerkbait games.1 piece or 2 pieces.
Great video and great review. Definitly think Vanford/Zodias combo is the best bang for the buck if one can’t afford or doesn’t want to spend a fortune on the ”real” high end rods & reels. Keep em comming 👊
I can’t speak for that. I’ve never fished those NFC travel rods. I’m impressed with this one still. I have traveled all over the place with it. Great rod!
I’m thinking about getting the spinning Zodias travel rod myself. Unsure if I should get the 6’8” ML or Medium 7”. Is the rod true to its rod rating or it one power rate higher then to the specs?
Thanks for the after use review, jointed rod’s definitely have come a long way. Know I carry a spinning and casting version in my trunk!

Thanks for watching!
Them rods are higher then the one piece plus in Shimano poison ultima rods $500-$700 I love having one of them rods
Where do you buy the casting rod version
How does this blank compare to NFC (Gary Loomis) travel rod blanks?
I can’t speak for that. I’ve never fished those NFC travel rods. I’m impressed with this one still. I have traveled all over the place with it. Great rod!
You telling us that that 5 piece rod never came apart when casing?
Absolutely am. I’ve used it all summer and it’s never came apart once unless I’ve taken it apart.

The MH is pretty stiff. I’d imagine the 7’ Medium would be the perfect rod, though.
