  • Woodworking: Transforming a Found Roadside Wood Piece into a Beautiful Epoxy Resin Table. Welcome to my woodworking channel! In this video, I will guide you through the process of transforming a found roadside wood piece into a beautiful epoxy resin table. Watch as I demonstrate step-by-step how to prepare the wood, pour the epoxy resin, and create a stunning finish. Join me on this creative journey as we repurpose materials and create a unique piece of furniture. Don't forget to like, comment, and subscribe for more woodworking projects and tutorials. Let's get started
Below is a basic guide on how you can go about this process:
Step 1: Prepare Materials and Tools
Wood Piece: Choose a wood piece with a shape and size suitable for the table you want to create.
Epoxy: Purchase high-quality epoxy from a construction materials store or specialized arts and crafts stores.
Tools: Essential tools include a workbench, utility knife, flashlight, masking tape, clamps, and woodworking tools for sanding and smoothing.
Step 2: Prepare the Wood Piece
Use a utility knife to remove the bark and any objects on the surface of the wood piece.
Inspect the wood piece using a flashlight to check for cracks or rot. If any are found, cut and remove the damaged portion.
    Step 3: Pour Epoxy
Use masking tape to create a dam around the edges of the wood piece, creating a containment area for the epoxy.
Follow the instructions on the epoxy product to mix and stir the mixture thoroughly.
Pour the epoxy into the prepared containment area. Ensure that the wood surface is clean and dry before pouring the epoxy.
    Step 4: Sand and Smooth
Once the epoxy has fully cured, remove the masking tape.
Use sanding and smoothing tools to sand the table surface, making it smooth and beautiful.
    Step 5: Finishing
Once you have achieved the desired texture and smoothness, you can apply a protective coating or varnish to protect and enhance the shine of the surface.
Please note that the above process is a basic guide and can be customized according to your ideas and personal preferences. You can add accessories such as table legs, incorporate decorative elements, or use different colors and patterns with epoxy to create a unique and fully personalized epoxy resin table. Good luck in creating your beautiful epoxy resin table!

The author does like to from scratch, ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxbnOKZBE4evMO5V2vroHeCjq6d_MV6wJO shaping and trimming wood from large blocks into fine finished products. As another reviewer mentioned, most projects require a lot of high-dollar equipment that most of us don’t have the room or budget for. But, knowing how to do these things, even if we won’t be able to practise the full stack project, is still great.

I’d like to say this about your chronicling technique in making this video. To me, this is the perfect pacing for a viewer to get satisfaction from what you are offering. There are no long tedious episodes yet also you avoid the lightning quick edits that I abhor on other short subject videos. So there is a twin aspect here you are not only presenting an enticing subject but you presented with a craftsmanship of video making that is extremely rewarding and satisfying to the viewer. So you are not self-indulgent but have a lot to offer! I give this five stars and thumbs up👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

So the structural integrity on this piece compared to the disposable mass market bullshit that people but at Walmart, Target, and most "furniture" stores has to be like comparing cardboard to steel.
The craftsmanship displayed in this video is inspiring.
Centuries from now the mass produced garbage will be long gone and this will still be a treasure.

I love the technique that turns the log into boards. That is a great blue marker you use you can even see it in the video. It does seem slightly risky pushing the wood through the blade using only hands however as long as you do not become overtired it would not be dangerous. One slip if fatigued however could be disastrous that’s all I’m thinking. Also what comes to mind is that alcohol and working around the shop blade do not mix obviously. This is quite a project I am in awe even watching just a little bit of it. You have had a brilliant genius idea to think this up and carry it through and chronicle the whole event. Well worth the trouble you have been rich and educated all of the rest of us.
