    Thanks for the review Dave.
May I get the source of information on consumption? You mentioned 1.2 miles / kWh. That is more than I was expecting. From various online forums I understand towing has ~40% penalty on range, hence I would expect some 260 km (160 miles) with full charge on EV9. During the longer trips it would be lower at 180 km (113 miles) in SoC from 80% to 10%. With your number, this would be just 130 km (210 miles) useful range (80->10% SoC), so not really usable in the end :(
    General statement:
larger BEV can easily replace a main family car and also a towing car during holidays. We use diesel 7-seater Seat Alhambra as a main car, good for kids and towing. Not so much for driving a short trips in city. BEV could do both reliably and cheaply. You just need to compromise on more charging stops. They also start to make drive-though charger stations for caravanists, so you wouldn't need to unplug while charging.
Price is also not horrible for such a big car. Alhambra had 50k Eur price and that was 7 years ago. Paying 75k eur isn't a huge jump, considering savings in overallcost of ownership

Thank you for this very informative video. This is one of the only videos I have found that covers towing with the EV9. I'm in the US and currently have an EV6. We're considering the EV9 as a tow car for a travel trailer for weekend getaways. This hit all the right notes, putting it high on my list of next vehicles.

Thanks for an informative video, currently in Australia the EV9 is very new ! There is a intrepid adventure family who are travelling Australia towing a 2 tonne caravan with an EV9, with great success, ( see Electreking) we are about to start a similar adventure, Australia has more charging challenges than the UK. However, people seem to forget every power point is a potential charging point.

I'm looking at getting an EV9 to tow a food trailer. Hoping to strike a decent deal to get an Earth for within the LCT limit so it's worthwhile under a novated lease. So difficult to find any material around tow range for a 2.5 tonne trailer. 😂

I had a look at your site, its very interesting and good on you for doing this, however your caravan doesn't look like it would weigh 2 tonnes. My Adria 552 only weighs 1950. I notice on the video the tester quotes a towing range of 143 miles (230km) which is hopeless but would be good to know if that's doing the speed limit everywhere, headwinds etc. So little real world info so far.

Waste of time, expensive, poor range, this club meeds a reset.

They are resetting pushing caravans and motorhome users to the back as they concentrate on becoming just another mass holiday business installing lodges, pods, yurts, tents as concerned caravanning will be badly affected by EV’s costs and lack of towing ability for the majority of caravans that 1300-2000kg mass!

Still has the basic problem that all EVs have regards towing. Range is extremely limiting and what to do with your caravan when requiring a recharge....and this car at £70K+ unrealistic for most people. Why even bother to review?

Incredible expensive for a tow car, as you'll have to unhook the caravan to charge which is a pain, you would want to be able to go at least 3 hours before requiring a charge, at motorway speeds that requires a range of 180 miles.

EVs will add to the total demise of caravanning.

Totally pointless video for one who has £72.000 to spend on a electric car it's the most ugliest car a have seen and how much does the battery cost as this will be more expensive than the whole car ££££ no way

All the comments are negative surprise surprise! EVs solo are a complete joke, towing they are even more useless. EVs are not even good for the environment and can catch fire after collisions. Please test real world vehicles in future.
