Always takes me back to Christmas day 98 , such a rush I got when messing around in kokiri because I knew instantly it was gonna be an amazing adventure and take me ages to complete
This dude has vcr footage of him as kid opening OOT on Christmas day 98 m.ua-cam.com/video/-95DLdbzd98/v-deo.html&pp=ygUiT2NhcmluYSBvZiB0aW1lIGNocmlzdG1hcyBkYXkgMTk5OA%3D%3D
Great video! I feel like I'm the exact target audience for this lol. The explanation of basic plot was great for me bc I grew up watching my brother play (different) Zelda games. So I'm unfamiliar with the specifics of each game- fantastic for figuring out which one to try next :)
Thank you! I do plan to do one on Twilight Princess in the near future, I will be doing these videos in the release order so after Majora's Mask is Wind Waker, then Twilight Princess.
Fun things to make Ganondorf curse: -Curse the Sages twice -Curse Zelda twice -Curse link in lowercase "CURSE YOU...FUCK ME!" "CURSE YOU...I SAY!" "CURSE YOU...NINTENDO CAPRISUN!" "CURSE YOU...AND YOU!" "CURSE YOU...WATER TEMPLE!"
Very well made video for such a small channel. Going to be critical for a moment however. I think that with the amount of reviews/retrospectives out there on this particular game, more could have been brought to the table to say what hasn't already been said many times before about this title. I think most people clicking on this video will already have an idea what this game is about, so having roughly 2/3 of the video going over the story with a lot of it being just footage of the game with minor or no commentary at times seems rather unnecessary, but I understand some viewers like that stuff so I'll digress. Great work otherwise looking forward to seeing more content from you.
Agreed. This video should not be 20 out of 30 mins of re-explaining the plot of OOT to an audience which a very large percentage likely know it and have beaten the game already.
I sadly have never played Ocarina of Time, so I'm glad you went over the story. I generally know what the games about because I've watched so many videos on it, but I know most people watching this video have probably beaten this game multiple times. Maybe still go over the story, but just condense it so most viewers won't get bored as they have already played the game? Either way great video man keep up the good work.
Lol I disagree. It was his storytelling and pacing that I appreciated, honestly. That’s what is neat about retrospectives is that they’re all unique to each individual. Some are more boring than others, this I felt was a relaxing retelling with the heart placed in it.
Oh the implication is supposed to be that Ganondorf has assassinated the king? I don't know how I never picked up on that and also how I've never seen anyone else mention it
Here I'll give a few reasons: 1. Has a real story that unfolds over time 2. Has dialogue that isn't cringe 3. Has a compelling antagonist 4. Isn't afraid to be terrifyingly dark at times 5. Has an excellent climax and ending 6. And this is key now: Has dungeons, bosses, and weapons that _don't_ break in 10-40 swings 🤮
29:51 WOW! I never would have guessed! Very, very well done! 👍🏻 I look forward to the Majora video and any others to come. Edit- I’m your 420th subscriber! 😎
I was excited when I saw the title of the video on my homepage. Sincerely thought this would be a retrospective review type video but I'm ovrr ten mins in and you're just explaining what happens in OOT as though the viewer has never played or heard of it? Large majority of people watching this video likely beat it multiple times... If you go on to do MM, WW etc. Please please please don't use this video as a template. A much much briefer summary of the plot and talking about your thoughts on it (good points and bad) would be far better. As well as going on about other interesting things about the game, its characters, legacy, the development process it went through or whatever.
Skip to 24 mins to actually hear retrospective/review content. Til then its just describing the plot of OOT Edit - changed from 20 to 24 mins as he then just explains simple controls and gameplay mechanics...
Replaying it now. Even with the limitations of the N64, it’s world building and gameplay as well as story are still great!

The music and atmosphere is what really made this game next-level great, imo.
Great editing letting the scenes and music from the game play out. Very well made video.
I hope these videos get the views they deserve for the amount of work you clearly put in.
Amazing video! Thank you for taking all this time to take so many people back, to a better time.

Loved this vid, dude. I would love to see a video on Twilight Princess at some point if you plan to do one.

Man you deserve way more subscribers, I thought you had at least 10 thousand subs your quality is just that good. Keep it up!

OOT was so good, it broke the timeline into three.
Just finished watching this video, and it's well done. You've done a great job with making this video!

You forgot. • It has GREAT music. (Not some elevator music in BotW)
@@Arrowz_88 oh, very true.
7. Musical themes besides sparse Mr. Rogers piano music.

good shit bro, was a fun watch
Great job on the video, man
Thanks bro!
Such a good video to be this underrated
it was the limitations that made games back then feel like magic
The return of the GOAT
Slash my goat
i can't help shake the idea, that in OoT, Zelda and Link caused the very thing they were trying to prevent.
“Zelda acareener of time” me: 👁️👄👁️
Awesome video! Okami review when?

I Love Zelda ❤
Screw tears of the kingdom! Bring back what zelda was all about!
Remember! Sheik is a she!
Gotta keep the secret! 🤫
@@hypernightslash Oh shoot, you are right!
Nice video :))
Ocarina not ocarinar
Laziest review, just play the game if you’re gonna let it all play out for half your video.
