No... the problem is that the game is so immensely popular (tens of MILLIONS of players), that it gets all facets of human beings in the community. And as we all know, there are amazing people and terrible people in this world. It has NOTHING to do with the game itself. You could take ANYTHING in the world, and if tens of millions of people are part of the community.... there is going to be nastiness in that community. What I find sad, are videos like this, that like to focus only on the negative. I find it sad when people only focus on the negative. The negativity in the genshin community is only made up of less than 1% of the players..... yet people want to say the ENTIRE community is terrible. THOSE are the real sad people.
He didn't talk about the Lyney incident in Korea or the Chinese New Year rewards in 2024 😭✋️ I like the game because of the lore and the story, but the community is CRAZY
@euweough1344 There's a character called Lyney, and the corean community started hating him because they thought he was a girl, so in his promocional video in corean, he got like 100k dislikes (I think so) and hate comments. Also, in the chinese New Year, they only gave us 3 wishes, which is, tbh, completely trash. Also, the video didn't mention a VA named Elliot Ghindi (tighnari's voice) that blackmailed and abused minors. He got replaced by another one, but I don't know what happened to him. Probably in prison or smth.
@@Karma_09420tbh bro, at first i looked at lyney and i was like, "thats a handsome looking girl" even after hearing his voice, im still convinced. But then i looked at his lore..... lol
@@quack42069 agree and seriously?? Going to prison because of a game?? In that case I wish Genshin or maybe even Mihoyoverse should have never existed at all since most if not all dramas and controversies originated from them.
As a genshin player, I tend to avoid the fandom as much as I can. It's insane what kinda shit goes down 💀 When an important figure died in China and a livestream was postponed, so many people were so upset and said they deserve compensation💀 like be fkin forreal, get a grip on reality. And that alone doesn't even cover how out of touch most people in this fandom are
I play genshin and love it. I've played for 2 years and I am 13 years old. Did it change me;yes But did it change it in a bad way;no. I have gotten a better relationship with my sister and learned what I value in people. By looking into what characters i like the most and the ones i don't like and then thinking about why i think that way, i have gotten more familiar to my own standards. This has actually helped me irl too! The game is really fun and i do reccomend it. And also, videogames never made me dumb. (i just wanna make that clear for the people who think it does) I don't have to study either way. I have math with the ones older than me. Byee, gotta get Navia now, i lost to qiqi lmao
@@sirius767lol kid I’ve literally been inspired by characters in games and media alike, and can find your cringe relatable to your own in a way, but except when I was you age I was slamming banjo kazooie, or playing MW2 on a glass television when I wasn’t playing FF7. I digress though while you have been changed for the better by this game, and it’s characters. Not everyone derives these experiences from the game, and are anime addicted cringe lords that can’t feel the reality tangibly in they’re fingers, like those kids who would take cards to steal they’re parents credit cards too buy skins. Etc, but anime pedo freaks are like the bottom of the barrel in anime society, and it took me quite a while to take the problem somewhat seriously. I also needed more time for my brain to mature too the point where I could see both sides of the arguments, and while I agree, no one’s being hurt in these pictures cause they aren’t even real in the first place, but who they actually hurt are already damaged people with low social skills or other disorders that have chances to be normal but fall into terrible yucky fandoms that overly, and overtly accept the strangest individuals. While that’s a hard metaphorical pill too swallow, it’s problem is very real. So I say to you young one that 13 is a fine age to start throwing your hat into the ring, will definitely help you become a smart man testing your belief against even the most ridiculous of arguments. Joke or no, the old saying more pressure and constant reforging only make a stronger temper.
@@davepumphernickel9568 That's still not the games fault though. Every comunity have bad pepole and because the genshin fanbase is so big it would be impossible not to find the bad ones. The bad parts is also the loudests. The ones critisising the game havn't played it for some time either. I thaught it was wierd at first, but after trying it out i really like it. It makes me happy.
As someone who regularly visits fans communities online (but rarely engages in actual conversation with them), I wouldn't say it's most of the fans, on the contrary, most of them would absolutely disapprove of the actions of bad apples and wouldn't want the whole community to be associated with them. They're only bad apples, after all, but the negative *impact* (pun not intended) they can have on the game's community as a whole will never be seen for what it actually is.
Not just Genshin but pretty much anywhere in life,my quote stands strong: "The more people there are in an area, the more often you'll run into abhorrent people."
That's why I have nothing to do with the community lol it's all a horror show. People will literally tell you to "off yourself" over disliking a character they obsess over. They don't understand the meaning of an opinion apparently. Eh, let them be miserable.
As a Genshin player, I can tell you people in advance that this video will probably only scratch the surface of the bullshittery that is the Genshin fandom.
Absolutely. Ive been playing the game since 2020 and I just *know* a single video or series wont be enough to cover the amount of idiocy that comes from Genshin's playerbase
Exactly everywhere it's like this people hear the name and they start shittin like wtf, they don't even know anything about the game and are becoming toxic more than they frame the community to be itself
@@Juju-hn7qoNah, I think the majority of Genshin, indeed, is toxic. There were some rare cases where I found genuinely kind people, the majority of them were spoiled brats that would get pissed at you for not having a lot of 5 stars or for playing for fun, like you have to spend all of ur life savings in a character in order to have fun
Unfortunately a lot of the hate towards the community (twitter) tends to get normal players caught in the crossfire hope this video might clear somethings like that up
Fandom can be wonderful and beautiful if you can find the right people. Unfortunately with big fandoms, it is very easy for terrible communities to grow.
There is no beautiful fandom if they stay silent. The whole community is known for their Disgusted, Cringe and Hentai addiction. I met a guy in college when i saw him playing Genshin, i just wanna have a chat with him and do you know what he came up with first? " Friend i fking love Shenha t!ts and A$$ " Bro can't fking tell what is reality anymore 💀💀 and i'm done with this community and the game itself
and yeah unfortunately those terrible communities do more harm and affect the good side of the community, one community that I know of is unfortunately Undertale
yeah thats true but I think the number of the right ppl is increasing. I am pretty new to genshin and sometimes when ppl want to join my world they just do and ask if I need help in anything. I hope those ppl wont change
Agreed. I didn't join a community for a long while and that joining was postponed by drama I heard in passing (didn't dedicatedly follow online news). Even then, after I joined a community, I now only get on the voicecall when certain people are on because some have harassed me for being bad (which I've admitted I am but that's no reason to be mean and harass? constructive criticism is a thing ya know?)
lets be honest here, the company themself are at fault too, its because how these gacha devs turn a human bad. Don't blame it is because of "the community is big so it has bad sides". Look at league of legends, world of warcraft,... and many other bigger community than genshin's, they're not remotely close to this level of crazy.
@@alterX-onThe toxicity within those games tho,,, like I've never heard a single person say "yes play lol it's great" no, they say "play it if you hate yourself and love being shouted at". All communities have their bad apples, maybe in different ways.
I went to a con and saw a q and a with one of the voice actors for genshin. Some of the people asked him deeply personal questions that clearly made him uncomfortable, and you could tell he was not having it. I feel awful for this guy, he seemed to be in a hard place with whether or not to engage with his fans. edit: it was zach aguliar Edit #2: tf am I getting so many likes
If you like something, you don’t have to participate in its fandom. You don’t need other people to validate your feelings about said thing you like. Every fandom has toxic fans. Don’t let the toxic fans have adjacency over your feelings. You are literally just wasting time and energy worrying about what other people say or do.
Unfortunately your mindset isn't how everyone acts and if you already joined and engaged with the community once, that can kill people's enjoyment for a game
@@MrDakold That alone has ruined my experience on their official app called Hoyolab. Nothing but degenerate memes and shipping head canons. I only go to the app just to redeem event codes.
I am a fellow genshin player, i played for about 3 years (if im correct), and i must say, the community always strucks my nerves for some reason, the peak amount of degeneracy the fandom shows, for sensitive people like me just gets me angry for no reason, and that is why i nearly avoid ANY genshin content on yt, or just watch some guides on incognito, so my yt recommendeds (or however you spell it? i always have trouble spelling it) dont have any slight of the content really.
Agreed .. I love how well a lot of people get along on the hoyo app but at the same time on the same app you can find a lot of hate sometimes over simple opinions.. it’s a great game with a terrible reputation so much so I try make sure not many people know I play the game at all coz I don’t want to be associated with the community
Online gaming and online culture in general so insanely more toxic now compared to 10-15 years ago. The movie "Idiocracy" comes to mind tbh, because whole generations can't seem to get past a mental age of like 15
Lets be honest this community is just too big. The more people you have the more chances that you will get some unhinged weirdos. And it is the problem with all big communities.
Precisely. Genshin has like how many million players again? When there are that many people playing the game, there will be unhinged bi-ches in the crowd sh-tting on everyone.
@@MonteLL1 I disagree, its very common to have weirdos like this in any big fandom specially if theyre mostly teens/preteens/young adults, there are many infamous examples of fandoms such as this, MHA, Danganronpa, Harry Potter (not as much now days), Homestuck, and many more, these examples are just some that personally come to my mind Edit: also adding in FNAF, MLP, AOT and certain MCYT fandoms that are known to be pretty weird or toxic
@@MonteLL1 Clearly you've never seen League community or Fortnite lmfao. It's just a problem with big communities in general, it's not exclusive to any games.
The Kaveh "glitch" was done by turning object into a bloom seed which Kaveh can make instantly explode meaning that Nilou could also do it but Kaveh was more accessible and probably because it's ironic cause in lore he is an architect.
Gosh it made me so sad that Kaveh, one of my favourite characters, was the center of a such a negative experience for many players. He's got so many great qualities and yet he'll be known for causing hell to a lot of people :(
This is very common when it comes to games that are very popular, more people means more toxicity to the pool. You will never please everyone because everyone is unpredictable and have their own interest If you want to get into Genshin, avoid these so-called 'communities' and enjoy the game/content by yourself as well as fanmade content, keep that secret to yourself
nah, genshin have been like that ever since the beginning of the game, it was popular at the start, then it slowed down quite a lot and a lot of ppl left, and it only got worse. wow has more players than genshin, and even wow community is better. league community is bigger, and even genshin community is worse, and that says a lot cuz league community is among the worst, yet genshin seems to trumph league community in toxicity and deranged ppl
@@xlightninghawk6360 I unfortunately agree. I played league before but left because the ingame toxicity was downright awful. But the toxicity of Genshin can reach to both ingame and irl. I primarily play solo unless I join low level worlds to try to help. I just hope my ramblings of excitement & some overinformation of character details isn't toxic.-.
As a long time genshin player, I'll just say that Communities will always have bad apples. Being as big as it is, it just means we'll have more total toxic fucks who will ruin it for everyone. The game is fun to play as long as you can manage the gacha mechanics healthily. I feel horrible for people who received harrassment from people just for voicing a character or participating in the Feasting Event.
This has been a thing since the beginning of time. Trying to paint Genshin as the only toxic fanbase ever is just a blatant lie. I remember the lead actor of Teen Wolf getting death threats sent to him. The male actors of Once Upon a Time getting death threats sent to their children. The whole incident of the fanartist who was given a cupcake with glass in it. Or the Legend of Korra harassment campaigns against anyone who dared to not like the "correct ship". The internet is full of toxic people who do stuff because they can and they can get away with it. Genshin was not the first and will not be the last and stating so is disingenuous at best.
A great example of this is the mha fan base, there's the sane ones who respect opinions, and then there's the bad apples who are sending death threats to the writers for not making their fantasy ships canon 😅
I've been playing since launch almost every day. I've barely interacted with the community but when I did I was never really toxic and I'm still very much enjoying the game to this day.

This happens to many fandoms. Social Medio don't make people stupid, it just exposes the stupidity of the people. The amount of people who lost touch with reality is just that unreal. I know the world has many problems but this is just disastrous. Imagine a world where people act like kids but have the full power to change the world. That would not be ideal.
With people being online all the time nowadays they don't know how to really live. If it's raining and a person isn't upset about not being able to go out that is a serious problem and lord help us the day these toxic "fans" get to have more say with Genshin or anything
Social media gives stupid idots a stage to share their opinions. 20 or 25 years ago, they'd have to voice their opinions somewhere in the real life or in some small forum at best, but they'd be shut off pretty quick. Nowadays they can just puke it onto twitter or fb or whereever and likeminded idiots will jump on it making it appear a large(r) group, while actually they're still just a very vocal small single digit percentage of the playerbase as a whole.
True. I play alone, don't let anyone except real life friends into my world and stay far, far away from the fandom, especially from the shipping side of the community. It gets so toxic (ofc like every shipping community in every fandom). I just enjoy fan arts, lore threads and theories in peace but never interact and Reddit, Twitter etc. lmao

I still love playing Genshin, literally my stress reliever when dealing with school and toxic classmates, like just my temporary escape. I am just kinda "separated" from the fandom... having fun of my own. This is just literally like every fandom exist, as long it become popular... people with no life will just go into it.

To me, I think the fandom has so many "bad apples" because of the game's appeal to people who felt really lonely and isolated over COVID. Personally, I found the game to be an amazing escape during the pandemic, and I think that a lot of others did as well. That being said, it is so sad to see how so many people are losing common sense and social skills/respect because of their unhealthy addiction to the game even as things have opened back up. A lot of us found it as a great form of escapism (and still do), but those that have made it their entire lives and consume it to an unhealthy extent are the ones that we are seeing acting out and behaving inappropriately. There should be a clear distinction between having differing opinions on a game and one's real life/online actions. I hope the fandom can do better moving forward, but for now, I have chosen to distance myself from other fans besides my close friends.
Yeah I can kinda understand, i once said " i don't like raiden shogun" in a post which was asking "tell us your least favourite character". After that it was notification after notification and all of them boils down to..... We don't need you. You are toxic. Just don't play the game etc . Since then i have distended myself from the genshin community.
I’ve been playing since covid and as you said, it was a great escape and still is. I consume a lot of genshin content because I like the inside jokes and the sense of community we all have. When horrible things like this happen I’m just utterly disgusted by it. those cats nor va’s didn’t deserve how they were treated at all. It’s just so disappointing seeing a solid game being destroyed by its community. I totally agree that these players have an unhealthy obsession with the game oml. Also, they hate wanderer for being a supposed war criminal but what about the traveller or Klee? (Spoilers just incase)The traveller goes against the raiden shogun and the sumeru scholars and there’s no hate to them? Probably because they chose lumine and they love girls. And klee- she drops bombs like no tomorrow so why no hate? Because she’s a girl as well as a child. They hated wanderer because of his attitude as well, saying they felt offended with how rudely he acted towards the traveller. What they did to those cats though was utterly disgusting. Hoyoverse itself is so blind to so many things involving the game and I really hate how they don’t listen to recommendations from the community and just sit there like stunned mullet. They rlly need to address these topics and set some rules or just do SOMETHING to put the players in their place. They also don’t pay the English va’s on time. Corina boettger (paimon) and Brandon winckler (kazuhas friend and npc’s)
I feel this so much, I also started playing Genshin during the pandemic, the game gave me comfort and not exactly a place to escape to, but more like to just have fun with. I made many memories with it but now i'm glad I overcame my addiction
The fandom can go from wholesome and helpful to toxic and just....disturbing 💀 Also don't forget the Lyney controversy. The way toxic Korean male fans treated him because he has a revealing outfit is ridiculous
Male Koreans want Pretty Women. They hated the Fact Genshin had a rather long Streak of Men and Twinks. They are the same People that got the Korean Ratings board abolished because they gave their revealing gacha game a too adult of a rating.
@@silverhawkscape2677 Tbf to the latter news, the rating board was abolished cause they spent government funds and resources to mine crypto currency during work hours. Otherwise, spot on. Recently, I started to play the game again and seeing what the fandom has become is disappointing but not surprising. I vividly remember the times back in 2020 and early 2021 where the fandom was praised for how peaceful and wholesome it was. Now it's just the same case with any other large fandom; the more it grows, the more assholes it attracts.
Every community has a toxic side, sometimes it gets to the point where I sometimes hide the fact that I play Genshin Impact. When a community is larger, the dark side becomes louder. I'm glad that I didn't download Twitter/X, if anything.
Absolutely, because I distinctly remember the drama about the 'art' of Nahida made when she came out, it gave such an AWFUL name to all Genshin players.
If I ever feel down, I remember there are people out there shaming what others do in their free time to stroke their ego. There's alot worse stuff happening and you literally chose most chill one out there smh....
This is just sad. I feel like all of these crazy acts would completely dissuade people from playing the game, which is such a shame considering the actual game has nothing to do with any of this. I'm just hoping the community can improve, but mostly that the company learns from their mistakes.
I totally agree with this. I myself really enjoy the game and have been playing it for about over 2 years now. I’m just sad when I see all of these crazy acts and see that it discourages people from playing the game. Because like you said it has nothing to do with the actual game.
I agree. I used to only play the game for fun. I’ve seen some parts of the community that are toxic (Twitter but no surprise there lol), but other parts are more friendly and wholesome!
ever noticed that out of all the events mentioned in the video, only the Kaveh hack one had something to do with in-game coop? you know, where ACTUAL PLAYERS interact? Really makes you think about where this controversy is coming from. I'm not saying those events are faked, just that as long as you enjoy the game itself, little if any of "these crazy acts" will affect your experiece, after all retards doing retarded stuff has nothing to do with you, and you shouldn't be concerned just because they happen to play the same game. Just have fun!
4:50 I remember the Wings of Feasting event, myself and many other streamers turned down the offer due to some of the stipulations of the event (contract stuff) being absolutely insane. Hoyoverse has been learning over the years how to improve community events and I think they've done a better job as of late, but that first one was pretty rough. I really hope they just fund collabs more (more merch, less people doing crazy things at events to get said merch) and bring them worldwide in the future.
This genuinely makes me sad. To think such an amazing game is tied to such a bad reputation because of a few (actually more than a few) fans is upsetting to me.
"Players used to being flattered in a game world so they can't tolerate a brat." Definitely feels true. I remember seeing so much people hating on Furina as well, and only stopped or atleast just calmed down a little bit around 4.2 when we learned about her real story and why she acted the way she did... I love Genshin, but I can't even say that because of the bad reputation it has because of the bad part of the community..
tbf, they kinda right. hoyo absolved and forgave a character such as the wanderer who honestly deserved the same fate as Signora. Not justifying their acts, mind you. But I see where they come from
@@djsergioner Except that the Wanderer was not forgiven. Wanderer is still accountable for the bad deeds, but Nahida showed him the truth and allowed Wanderer to choose his own path (thus why he gets his own Anemo vision, "freedom" to move forward after facing his burdens from the past).
As a new Genshin player and a former Genshin hater, I enjoyed playing the game and reading the storylines. People hate Genshin not because of the game itself (well, most of them haven't played it yet), but because of the community.
@haydenkrivanek8151 That small majority barks the loudest. They know in life that's the only thing they can do is whine like a bunch of toddlers. Sorta hilarious to be honest and a bit sad.
I agree, every anime fandom or game has those kinds of individuals. It's just that Genshin is a tempting thing that attracts many kinds of people, resulting in having a lot of bad people in its community. On the outside, if you're narrow-minded, Genshin seems to be the problem, but it's actually the people
i love wanderer, his character is well written and his attitude is a welcome change from the usual unending amiability of other characters. it’s absolutely heartbreaking to hear about those poor cats, and i hope the individuals behind everything that happened face/d punishment.
Yeah, I agree. He's the most unique character cause the rest are always polite and/or balls of sunshine. He's legit the only character that's outright rude and has a playful banter with the Traveler outside of Paimon. Genshin needs more characters like that. The only other one I can think of is Miko, I guess.
The lengths people went over wanderer has always made me think the worst of the community. I thought the real reason people were hating on topaz’s kit pre-launch was because all but one of her abilities was featuring numby rather then all about her and that they thought that they were being “denied” more seconds of topaz in her anims
I’ve played since the game came out and in my experience 99% of the community is very wholesome and it’s just a fun chill game. The fact that the 1% gives the community such a bad reputation is horrible.
when a community is this huge the 1% is big as well, Genshin has about 60m players so 1% of that is 600k, and a number that huge is bound to be loud and noticed, sad to see that some people can go to these extreme measures of what should be a leisure time activity
Watching this is like going down memory lane for me. I had to stop playing because my device cant handle it, so it just feels really nostalgic to see a recap of all the major things that happened during my time playing.
As a genshin player, I play alone. Whenever I co-op, I had very few toxic interactions. In-game itself, I have a fun time 98% of the time. But social media interactions are so crowd-motivated. It’s best to just look at the building guides, and stay away from the mobs
The good side is why I play. I adore the exploration and characters, the stories and plots. I think it's all great, but that's my opinion. Everyone will always have a reason to hate, I'll never understand it, cause I'm happy with what I got! I'm just happy the game exists. Idk why people get so angry and hateful towards others in the community, probably cause they're miserable. I mean, hating someone's guts cause they love a certain character or quest? Miserable people strive to bring others down with them.
As a Genshin player who avoids the toxic fandom and only enjoys the game, it's sad how our community is toxic as hell. Btw, I'm not surprised if big communities like Genshin is filled with mean people, Social Media exposes the reality of humanity. There will be always stupid people who'll ruin the reputation of the communities.
Yeah… I just kinda head to the meme side of the community and stay away from everything else. And by that I mean I steal memes from HoYoLAB. I don’t coop with many people, only with my irl friends
As a person who plays Genshin along with my two cousins (Who started around 1.x and I started around 4.2), I can't believe people are THIS toxic. Killing just because of a cat looking like Scarameow? I don't like Wanderer's personality(Might change my mind after the Simulanka event lololol) but I can't believe people hate him THIS much. Me and my cousins literally chill around, playing the game we all bond over... haiya what a pity large communities are toxic...
they just wanted to start stupid ass drama and exaggerate how bad it is so that people see people that enjoy certain things (like genshin and roblox) as fat non humans. like i get theres toxicity duh but in reality half these shit in the video isnt even real , genshin has one the best fandoms and they dont want to admit it
I am a Genshin player of 1 year now. I am currently AR56. I never interact with the community at all because the people that entered my world were mean/demanding or just straight up taking your stuff without permission (some stuff regenerates in 3+ days & that is a long wait, worthy to ask first before taking). I’ve always avoided the community because some of them are crazy to where you wonder if they ever touch grass or wonder if their parents ever liked/loved them. Its sad.
90% of ppl will be the same as on release, kind, normal, etc the other 10% only join your world to steal limited materials as when getting a new character they arent usable until they are leveled, and there arent an infinite amount of said materials i had to join 2 seperate worlds and ask for materials to lvl 80 my navia in one day @@yudilai6704

Same as a sane player who joined this games from the very beggining, I agree. Fans of nahida on a site hurting REAL LIFE CATS because hoyo released an art of scaramouche as a cat is absurd!
I once saw two people fighting over the spot on a slot machine in Vegas. Almost as if building a community around addiction, manipulation and frustrating feedback loops is not the best way to build a healthy community.
Can't say its only because of taking advantage of addiction, primarily because this stuff is what happens when any game gets too popular. If you look back at some events for some of the most popular games, you'll find that the stuff mentioned here are more common than one would think. I mean, just look at Pokemon Go. Its not the game itself. Its more along the lines of, the game has gotten so popular that people are uncontrollable and when you have bigger crowds, there's a bigger chance that a couple of those players are going to be absolute psychopaths.
In this case, the slot machine has a chance to print a cutout of their favorite waifu. And two people fighting aren't even contest for that slot, they just use separated slot then have a conflicted view on each other's best girl.
My rule of thumb is that if a fandom is toxic, the media itself is likely pretty good and worth trying. As a player myself I can safely say that this game is best enjoyed in a bubble with as little fandom interaction as possible. 😂
MHA says otherwise. As a die hard anime fan MHA is a dime a dozen Shonen, nothing to make it stand out over other Shonen anime yet has one of the most toxic Fandoms
@higgsbonbon Well thats weird , all the 13-18 in my country are mostly playing Valorant and Roblox while boomers friend like me over 20s are playing Genshin for quite a while now. Maybe its just cultural differences?
same, i had only one interaction with the fandom on reddit and it just proved to me how unintelligent they are. So i never had any contact with genshin fandom, i only follow one youtuber about genshin and that it.
Honestly I agree.. occasionally I’d find smaller portions of the fandom that are more tame and I can hang out there but eesh, it’s a dangerous world out there in the toxic fandoms /hj
To be honest the best of the Genshin community way over shadoes the toxic. So many beautiful inside and out content creators both gameplay and lore. The fan made art, anime, music is out of this world, so many talented fans. The VA's are well recieved and supported at cons. Overall an amazing community.
Yup, I'd say that the general community is actually pretty nice and wholesome. Especially on YT and irl. And I think that's impressive considering its size. I know several smaller communities that I would describe as more toxic.
As a person from the CoD community, I can say that barely anyone is complaining about content and to be honest seeing how wholesome most of the Genshin community (not Twitter) is an eye cleaner to the more angry, CoD community. Still grinding Warzone tho 😅
I love Genshin Impact and all since it's been one of my favorite games for years but I'm sure the info in this video will be 100% accurate. This is why I play alone so I don't deal with toxic players who talk trash to you and act like they're better than everyone. Their debates regarding some ships that we love or hate are so meaningless and they are never beneficial at all. I genuinely feel bad for the good Genshin players who are never this way. I can't wait to see you getting a lot of things about the Genshin fanbase off your chest.
I dont play the game but im a fan of it. Its so sad how people can get just by learning you play genshin, to the point when they are worse then the toxic side themselfs
@@divinesan7786Yeah, from what I've heard a *lot* of the drama seems largely to be on twitter. I barely play the game, just follow a couple streamers who do, but that still comes up a lot.
Ship who you want just know none of them will ever exist because they all need to be targeted towards the main character so parasocial weebs wish for those characters to make mihoyo money
The fact is they’re so obsessed with these characters’s sexuality.

i love when people warns your about some games or softwares or whatever products but i hate when they use mutch drama & montage in their videos, it just make it even more untrusted to watch the content creator, coz it makes you feel like you are watching a trusted content creator when in fact there could be a posibillity of false content or information given, that could be easily injected into someon's mind just because he is fooled by the drama however i loved this video
From what I remember, Shirakami was arrested for profiting on a overseas service and not because he made nsfw vids. plenty of nsfw artists are still making them today.
As a genshin player, our fandom has done for Digusting things and the video just scratched the surface, this also shows how a few bad apples can destroy our reputation.
I was playing Genshin as I heard all of this and was quite shocked, honestly. I mean, I was aware many people hated it because of the community ruining the game (said by friends and classmates for example). But... never expected for some things to be that bad actually. I never had any bad experiences in the game before, as I only met nice people in the game and met friends over there within a few years. But didn't know that some people would go as far just for cutouts and wings to flood a place...
It's really just the minority of the playerbase, the majority of players are actually pretty nice. Though this guy didn't cover everything it sure does expose how easily triggered the community can be. And that's why I just join their official gaming discords for updates on the game, emotes, and thats it
Even though its the minority of the player base u have to accept that Genshin fans nuking reviews in the play store and on google maps was hella funny and entertaining
I’m pretty shocked too. I didn’t know Hoyoverse created such ruckus on that game too. Because the player I met on the game are very nice and respectful. I also didn’t know that players could be that toxic... although I do admit I did met toxic players but not towards the game but the people playing. I am kinda disappointed in this news. This is a first for me... Part of the Genshin community is just.. woah..
just about almost all the people that have made me feel joy and happiness were the people in genshin. but you still need to be carfeul aboyt what side of the community you are on
@@Magica39curryif you reply to them it actually helps them by improving engagement stats. if you want YT to delete them just ignore and report as spam.
This is why I hardly pay attention to any controversies in the community. It can completely ruin your mindset on the actual game, and it's just not worth it. Every community has a bad side. How about we focus on the good for once?
thats why you only focus on the good part and ignore the bad ones - example passion people that create cool stuff like from cosplay to there fanmade merch.
@@daydreamerxan623 Absolutely! There's so many talented people in this community, but it's sad it gets overshadowed by the toxicity. There's good in everything, ya just have to look for it.
I try to stay away from “that” part of the community so much.. but sometimes it’s hard. I’ve already met a toxic player, who was nice at first, but they revealed their colours rather quickly later. It was quite sad to see. And so many more have been popping up lately. It’s so sad. This is such a beautiful and relaxing game. It’s not hard to play (and I say that not as a pro gamer with a NASA pc, but as a fairly bad player with skill issues and a laggy laptops), it’s not competitive, so there’s really no reason for people to be so toxic about what others choose to play. Yet all too often, choosing a “trash” character will get you bullied in co-op. And then there’s the forever fight about whose waifu is better. Whose ship is better. And how every two character of the same gender who does as much as have 2 sentences with each other are canonically a couple, and if you don’t agree then you’re a homophobic hater. It’s so tiring. I don’t understand why so many people in this community can’t understand that opinions are opinions, they’re not canon, and not any less valid than the opinions of another. Quite frankly I think a lot of people are just using “canon” to make their ships sound more valid, without understanding what it actually means for something to be canon in a story. It’s not all bad, though. Most people are still normal and nice, even if you disagree with each other. Personally, I even made a friend too. We play together, mess around, talk about stupid stuff, laugh about characters being stuck in dumb positions or enemies flying away. It’s entertaining, you can just switch your brain off for a little and enjoy the small stuff as you adventure with a friend across beautiful landscapes. It’s everything I hoped I would find in a game like this. And it’s not because we’re so similar - we’re extremely different people, different ages, different countries, different opinions and views, but since we’re both normal, it isn’t a problem. We even disagree with ships. All of her ships are ones I personally disagree with, and the only one I have she doesn’t like. But that isn’t an issue - why should it be…? At least that’s what a normal interaction between players should be like. There are far too many who take fiction way too seriously, to the point that they place the “feelings” and “rights” of fictional characters over that of actual living people. It’s… really something else.
its honestly hard to continue playing this game after learning the things its community does, there really are alot of cool ppl out there but... genshin's reputation was already ruined and unless you play the game for yourself you will always think of this as a game for weebs that love gambling and are toxic as hell. And anyone that is not a genshin impact player will just continue to hate this game and its players after learning about that crap. And I am definetely not blaming anyone for thinking like that, I'd definetely think the same if I never tried out the game
@@xnotable The people making up characters sexuality´s are the worst part of the community , like holy shit. Characters cant interact with each other without ending up as a couple rofl. Weird shit dude.
This is really true and i agree with it. I’d also add that a lot of people call genshin “cringe” and other stuff and thats their opinion i just dont get why people including toxic fans, over the border obsessed fans and fans that dont accept the opinions of other are just being so rude. Genshin is a game for every age with no sexual scenes and completely fun to play with or without using money.
The Kaveh hack is similar to the seeding hack in Animal Crossing New Leaf. In animal crossing, players could use hacks to obtain building seeds to place structures in the map. Similar to the kaveh hack, joining another player's island allowed you to place structures on it. This led to some people's copies of the game becoming unusable or unplayable entirely.
A community is not a homogeneous entity. Especially as any community gets bigger, there will be bad apples in it. This is not unusual in any popular game or interest areas. Could some of these be handled better in hindsight? Maybe. No one, and no entity is perfect.
@@Veritanky I don't know if you're being willfully stupid blissfully ignorant, or both. It'd take you 2 seconds to Google the rough age of Genshin players, which is literally above 18,smh. Not only that, but the toxic part isn't even the biggest, stop acting all hollier than thou and get off your high horse, seriously. It's the vocal minority that mostly comes from twitter (and UA-cam) that makes the community unbearable..... But the community inside of Genshin's is literally so chill and extremely eager to help anyone and everyone, it's crazy.... (I'll never forget the time I did co op with 3 other people and then proceed to have a 40min talk on which cheese is the best LMAOOOOO)
Some aren't even like their fault. For example the censorship one. Its not hoyoverse's fault that this is happening but for some reason its implied that it was, like what!? And yeah, ALL fandoms has some horrible people. I distinctively remember undertale being toxic af. the best was to do this os to seperate the game from the fandom as the fandom does not represent the game.
@@Veritanky It always irks me when people just say a community is mostly actual children, like as if there's a couple million 10 year olds just itching to ditch Fortnite and spend $100 rolling for characters in Genshin. This has nothing to with the video, really, but people just like to toss in "think of the children" to fuel fires and I'm tired of it.
The cat incident was terrifying. As a Chinese who has access to local social medias, i'll try to keep it brief. The messages sent in 25:13 were through WeChat (Chinese social platform), as the Klee pfped man ab@sed a cat and sent pictures into a groupchat. This ab@se was leaked and people found out that he has done this to many other cats, the law has not done anything about it from what I know.
if youunderstand how corrupt the ccp is (they STEAL organs from political ememies) and the chinese poeaple are theatened in the poll that ask "do you 100% agree with the government" orsome sort of poll. thatw why CCP has a "100% approval rating" becuase those that diddent approve were at VERY LEAST thearted and reducated. others disapred more pernmantly.

Speaking on behalf of the rest of the genshin community that don't do these kinds of things, please don't let these bad apples reflect the kind of people we are, there may be a lot of bad apples but not all of the community is like this. This is not how we like to see our game represented. Best of wishes to the people who were harassed and affected in this video. Thx for reading my rant that I felt compiled to write. Here's 50% more luck on ur next pull. :> edit: while I understand that seeing bad things about the community without seeing any of the good may seem like it is just to make the genshin community look bad, I don't think it was his intentions, I feel like he was just trying to expose these bad apples so that the rest of the community don't do these kinds of things as he does say 'some members' when referring to the genshin community so he is not trying to say that the whole community is bad but yea that's how the vid came off to me. I wasn't trying to make a statement about how "this youtuber is only showing the genshin community in a bad light and this video is trash" because that's not how this felt like to me, just wanted to clear stuff up. Just a tip for anyone joing big companies never post what company you work in any other social other than linkedln and also in linkedln make things ambiguous be specific about your technical skills, Recruiters usually directly dm you so you have no worries there.
I promise we aren't all that bad- most of the genshin community is so wholesome. I've been playing for years and I feel like the community shouldn't stop someone from playing this game.
Maybe you can tell that to the fandbase because as soon as someone makes this kind of video as a formative video they instantly attack them, I already see several comments attacking the guy
@@skyzell5029 that's true for literally every video that does the same thing as this, some people just don't like criticism pulled towards their game. making it seem like genshin only does this is disingenuous.
@@skyzell5029the same cognitive bias in the grand scale of the community is affecting you here in the small scale context of this comment section. It's just that you'll see only negativity if you actively search for it
I feel like much of the video is played up to be worse than it actually is/was, sure stealing cardboard cutouts is a crime but it is more funny than it is serious (like people stealing the fnaf cutouts at theaters). The bubble diaper isn't nearly as bad as the time mihoyo was forced to change some character designs but is more the fault of china regulation, the kaveh bug wasn't really anyone's fault (cheaters affect every game, it was just weird it hit genshin like it did with the overflow damage zhongli), and leaking isn't specific to genshin the only toxic part about it is not only the betrayal but actually how leakers do it for clout and not for love of the game. Although it's not like genshin isn't toxic since the rest were great examples and pretty much covered all of the context although if it's about toxicity for genshin and general (and not fan specific) then the wrongdoings of other VAs should be mentioned as well
that's definitely true, he omitted crucial details in the video such as the real reason for a few KFCs being shut down was due to covid protocol on large gatherings, and how making it seem like stealing a literal piece of cardboard was worse than it was, and tried pushing issues that affected media as a whole on genshin itself. the thing with Dori's VA happens to live action shows and actors/actresses too, and other forms of western media. he also never mentioned the while thing with tighnari's old EN VA as well. SteamedBunX made a good video breaking it down, and there's a reason this guy puts a disclaimer in front of the video saying to do our own research
Since I haven't seen people doing it, I'll explain how much misinformation is in this video. Starting with chapter 1: It's funny that you make it a serious crime to steal the cutout of the characters, something that is not new, even this happens many times when there are movie premieres, even those cutouts were returned later. The crowd of people waiting outside the KFC...were there any serious incidents like fights or something? not really, people were just waiting for the KFC to open again peacefully, something that happens in other places like the long lines people make to buy an Iphone or at ComiCon or videogame events. And the police had to intervene because...well, the police always have to be present in massive events in case any problem happens, even more when they are events without previous registration, which did not happen in the KFC, in many countries they do it and they even close the streets, besides in China this was much more regulated because...you know...pandemic. And not all the stores were closed, only a few, the vast majority were still open and it was not because of any serious incident but because of the pandemic itself and seriously, stealing a cutout is not a serious crime for you to exaggerate it in such a way. And it's this one that falls even lower when you put the bomb incident as if it was something the Genshin fandom did, and because of their events a bomb threat happened...seriously what the hell was that conclusion? But it's very annoying that you didn't mention the time that because of the trailer of a Genshin character, a lot of people went to donate to orphanages and schools in China, I guess the fandom there was also toxic, right? Chapter 2: I find it impressive that you put Tectone as an example at this point considering that this person is disliked not only by the Genshin fandom but also by the Blue Archive fandom for his toxic community and for how toxic he is, something that also affected Honkai Star Rail. Without forgetting that the harassment towards some UA-camrs was by his own words and by his own followers which he himself called as "egoists" and "gross" if they wanted this sponsorships. And the contracts that Hoyoverse gave is not something that other companies do not do with their sponsorships, I mean, any company that pays you for sponsorships of their product does not want you to give a negative review of their product. And best of all, the moment that Hoyoverse made an event without those restrictions, the bots were very noticeable...something that Tectone criticized...but Tectone also criticized the previous restrictions (that guy likes to create drama if you haven't noticed already and he is not a representative of the game and is not the last word, literally nobody takes this guy's opinion seriously and it is used as a mockery or directly everyone ignores it). By the way good Sponsorship...after complaining about the Sponsorships Chapter 3: While it is true that there were some bad moments with the Genshin VA, you chose the worst example of all. Dori's VA was harassed but on Twitter and it has already been shown many times how the supposed "Genshin fans" are really antis and this was demonstrated when one wanted to create drama complaining how Eula is a "slave owner" thus making it known how those people don't even play the game since the background of this person is totally the opposite. Also, this cultural appropriation and VA is not something that happened in Genshin only, this is just an occurrence in the community (which was not even part of the community) constratando with the various incidents of VA for alleged cultural appropriation, the best known of Apu. This is exclusively on Twitter, something you should already know since you covered the Twitter topic in a video previously, right? I guess generalizing is kind of free these days. And does it not come to mind in the incident with the VA of Tighnari? where the entire community came together to make Hoyoverse immediately fire his VA for groomig and that he was immediately changed by another and that the community supported the victims as a whole? of course, those moments where the community is wholesome are not commented in videos that misinform rather than inform Chapter 4: You know that because Hoyoverse is now quite well known and has some very scrappy competitors, they have to censor quite a lot of their games in order to keep up with the Chinese government's dictates. Hoyoverse receives many fraudulent reporters from competing companies, the most well known being Tencent which to this day is salty because Hoyoverse did not let themselves be sold, thus causing them to have to give more censorship than usual, something that even happened in their new game ZZZ, a game that is still in beta and in their Honkai Star Rail game...when the game had just been released in China at the moment. And the discord thing, it is not something that happens only in the Genshin server, I was in several servers of this type of games and several have this type of restrictions, not something only attributed to Hoyoverse or Genshin. Chapter 5: I was during that incident, it was just panic generated by the hackers themselves who posted the videos of the alleged hack but the victims were themselves, it was just a troll and there were no real victims. Chapter 6: I was also present at the time of the leaks. With the leaks you left something crucial out, this wasn't because some hackers got into the Hoyoverse servers and leaked a bunch of content, it was a disgruntled ex-employee who leaked everything after he was fired for...leaking content. Chapter 7: I was here too! And honestly I find it very nasty of you to give false information on this, Shirakami was not arrested for "Genshin Impact Hentai", he was arrested because in China, the distribution of NSFW content is ILLEGAL, no matter what franchise it is from and this went further because of Tifa's video at the Zoom meeting in Italy. Chapter 8: Not much to say here as I was not present for Genshin's first anniversary. Chapter9: I was also there during this incident and this is where the video literally shows that you just want to misinform and put a malicious face on a community that is like no one else is painting it. The background is a lot but in short, the guy who did that to the cats is not a fan of Genshin or a player of this, later it was discovered that this guy did this kind of things long before in different telegram groups, thus demonstrating that this psycho was not even part of the community and was an anti who just wanted to give a bad face to the community as this video is doing. I am aware that the Genshin community is not the healthiest of all but it is clearly not the community as many people try to put it, especially when they are people who have never played the game, create their opinion based on others who do not even know what they are talking about and omit crucial information that changes the context of much of what is stated. But of course, talking bad things about Genshin brings views from the antis, as seen in Tectone's channel that despite having stopped playing the game, Genshin lives rent free in his mind like the rest of the antis. Seriously, I don't know if you did the script or someone else did it but you left out a lot of information, you took a lot of things out of context and in others you didn't even inform yourself of the situation.
@@evilmiyoho6742 White knight or not, at least I'm not lying through my teeth for internet points. Maybe you should get some facts and create your own opinion instead of dick riding people on the internet

I believe every big fandom has its bad apples, whether it's a game, a show, or whether it's focused on an internet personality. At the end of the day, it's a shame, because most of the public image reflected is the bad happening, and none of the great art, music, and other creations the fans do. It'd be interesting to see your perspective on the kpop stans/sasaengs fans. I haven't kept up with the k-pop scene for the past few yrs, but I know there were quite a few dangerous events related to fans stalking kpop groups a few years ago.
Now even worse.. I heard the recent thing happened is that they cancel some kpop artist because they watch anime.. and that started because a member from txt said that they have watched some anime called Made in abyss or something from then they track all the idols who watch that anime calling the mysogynist and or pedophile etc and cancelling them 😮 yea- people just being people
@coffeelatte8616 to be fair the artist could've just never said that they like a show that would obviously be a pr nightmare? Like if someone who doesn't watch anime hears about this anime an artist they like enjoys, and decides to check it out... I really don't think that anime is suitable to be anyone's first anime.
@@onigirifoolI don't actually think the gacha is the worst part of the game. The real worst part IMO is grinding hours and hours in the same few domains to actually make your characters usable. They should make it like the gacha game Guardian Tales where you only have to beat the Domain once and can then claim its rewards while only using resin but not time.
@@onigirifool I actually mean something better than auto-battle, being the ability to just straight up skip the entire battle but still get the rewards. I already said in my first reply how it would not take any time, but auto-battle still wastes a lot of time, especially with how dumb the AI is.
its not always the fandom that ruins it, it just depends on the game. I can name some fandoms that helped make the game better like red ball series' speedrun community (pushes the limits of that game to the fullest with a friendly competition), cuphead (modders making some rlly hard mods of cuphead for people to try) and omori (making some banger tear-shred animatics). Or maybe the fandom is like that because of the nature of the game like MLBB (a comically competitive game) or TCoAaL (that fandom is not as friendly just solely the 'protagonists' arent either).Given the genshin fandom is miles bigger than all the fandoms i mentioned combined but even then, theres still the good side of the fandom and whatver bad is in the genshin fandom may or may not be balanced by the good things (yes you can tell i barely snooped around the genshin fandom.)
Started playing Genshin 4months ago. Not once have i met toxic player ingame and not once have i felt like the community is "toxic". There are some weirdos but when the community is as large as Genshin community it is pretty much guaranteed that some take shit too far. Ofc i have played csgo 4.6k hours so i might be little biased xDDDDD The game itself is really really good and no one can deny it. Free open world rpg with lots of characters and hundreds of hours free content. The story in genshin is one of the best in all of gaming and the amount of lore put into it is insane. The amount of mystery and missing lore makes it so people have something to look forward to and every new region gives us more and more lore. The game itself is a masterpiece and no one can deny it.
Thank you, I agree. I love the game for the lore, game mechanics and the loveable characters. I don't see why everyone has to complain SO MUCH about EVERYTHING when it comes to genshin

@@0Annou0It was never small, idk where people are getting the "Genshin fandom used to be good" from. Like any other fandom, the best part of the "fandom" is a small group of friend you know who just happens to also enjoy the game. That's how it should be for all games, as you should never be involved with the entire community that you only see 1% of the iceberg.
I’m guessing this is because of everything the fans specifically have done. Although the fans were a large part of it, Elliot himself was the problem. I would love to see him talk about it though
"Genshin is an amazing game that I can't recommend to anyone." I got into it randomly played since the beginning and this statement has reigned true for every second of it.
I’m a player of almost 4 years by now, and here’s what I have to say. In terms of some parts of the community, yeah, I get that the bad apples get the large spotlight so others would see the whole community as a whole instead as bad, because the internet. In my case though, I’m glad I’m in the good part, which I’m sure is the larger, more quiet part of this community. Throughout the years I’ve met others who play the same game, went to local conventions where so many cosplayers of the beloved characters go to, and I had much fun. I never really tune or participate into the online parts of my interests, simply because I have nothing to do with that. I enjoy the game as it is, because it’s simply fun. If you or another person don’t like it, that doesn’t matter because it has nothing to do with me. Everyone dislikes something. I get that the game has gone through much controversy throughout its time, and that’s most likely because of its sudden explosion of popularity, too much to contain for the growing company at that time. Although it’s a bit annoying to see others have some big opinion on something they only heard of, I guess that doesn’t matter since we should remember that we’re on the internet… That brings me to this video, I guess. To let you know I don’t plan to watch it fully, based on the timestamps I can tell what’s it about. I hope the person behind this channel understands that this isn’t the only thing about this game. It’s something much more, although personal. As I’ve said before I don’t care if others hate on the game. I’ll continue playing at my own pace, as I’ve always been because it’s simply just my hobby. Genshin Impact and its company isn’t perfect, obviously. But I won’t get into what doesn’t have to do with me.
looking forward to this! hoyoverse has a toxic community in the honkai games too. star rail is the most peaceful one from what ive seen? but the honkai impact one is a mess, as a player of all three (hsr, hi3 and genshin)

True. Gaming culture as a whole has completely been derailed in the past decade smh....

No... the problem is that the game is so immensely popular (tens of MILLIONS of players), that it gets all facets of human beings in the community. And as we all know, there are amazing people and terrible people in this world.
It has NOTHING to do with the game itself. You could take ANYTHING in the world, and if tens of millions of people are part of the community.... there is going to be nastiness in that community.

@euweough1344 There's a character called Lyney, and the corean community started hating him because they thought he was a girl, so in his promocional video in corean, he got like 100k dislikes (I think so) and hate comments.

The irony of having the add for this video being one of those super obnoxious Honkai Star Rail commercials.

I agree, every anime fandom or game has those kinds of individuals. It's just that Genshin is a tempting thing that attracts many kinds of people, resulting in having a lot of bad people in its community. On the outside, if you're narrow-minded, Genshin seems to be the problem, but it's actually the people

I once saw two people fighting over the spot on a slot machine in Vegas. Almost as if building a community around addiction, manipulation and frustrating feedback loops is not the best way to build a healthy community.
Were they verbally or/and physically fighting?
Uhhh?
What does acting like children have anything to do with building community?
@@DomonkasshuSDIt's not acting like children, it's one of the basic human functions.

You basically just summed up how I feel about this as well in a much more concise way than I ever could
its honestly hard to continue playing this game after learning the things its community does, there really are alot of cool ppl out there but... genshin's reputation was already ruined and unless you play the game for yourself you will always think of this as a game for weebs that love gambling and are toxic as hell. And anyone that is not a genshin impact player will just continue to hate this game and its players after learning about that crap.
And I am definetely not blaming anyone for thinking like that, I'd definetely think the same if I never tried out the game

The Kaveh hack is similar to the seeding hack in Animal Crossing New Leaf. In animal crossing, players could use hacks to obtain building seeds to place structures in the map.
SteamedBunX made a good video breaking it down, and there's a reason this guy puts a disclaimer in front of the video saying to do our own research
this 💀
Since I haven't seen people doing it, I'll explain how much misinformation is in this video.
Starting with chapter 1:
It's funny that you make it a serious crime to steal the cutout of the characters, something that is not new, even this happens many times when there are movie premieres, even those cutouts were returned later.
Chapter 2:
I find it impressive that you put Tectone as an example at this point considering that this person is disliked not only by the Genshin fandom but also by the Blue Archive fandom for his toxic community and for how toxic he is, something that also affected Honkai Star Rail.
By the way good Sponsorship...after complaining about the Sponsorships
Chapter 3:
While it is true that there were some bad moments with the Genshin VA, you chose the worst example of all.
And does it not come to mind in the incident with the VA of Tighnari? where the entire community came together to make Hoyoverse immediately fire his VA for groomig and that he was immediately changed by another and that the community supported the victims as a whole? of course, those moments where the community is wholesome are not commented in videos that misinform rather than inform
Chapter 4:
You know that because Hoyoverse is now quite well known and has some very scrappy competitors, they have to censor quite a lot of their games in order to keep up with the Chinese government's dictates.
Chapter 5:
I was during that incident, it was just panic generated by the hackers themselves who posted the videos of the alleged hack but the victims were themselves, it was just a troll and there were no real victims.
Chapter 6:
I was also present at the time of the leaks.
With the leaks you left something crucial out, this wasn't because some hackers got into the Hoyoverse servers and leaked a bunch of content, it was a disgruntled ex-employee who leaked everything after he was fired for...leaking content.
Chapter 7:
I was here too!
Chapter 8:
Not much to say here as I was not present for Genshin's first anniversary.
Chapter9:
I was also there during this incident and this is where the video literally shows that you just want to misinform and put a malicious face on a community that is like no one else is painting it.
Whiteknight hereeeee.
@@evilmiyoho6742 White knight or not, at least I'm not lying through my teeth for internet points. Maybe you should get some facts and create your own opinion instead of dick riding people on the internet
The chapter 3 are on spot, most of the VA drama wheter genshin or not often mostly generate from there and not toward the genshin player. it really a nothing burger when try to ties on genshin community since the english VA always have too many dramas on Twitter you barely take them seriously and I've been in that 2019 incident and witnessed how corrupt the industry can get it was wise choice for me to leave it for good and never look back again.
@@BrendanSilver-w3r A whiteknight talking about lying, facts, dick riding, creatin an opinion of his own... xD how funny and ironic.
I had no idea that the community was causing so much damage…just remember not all of us are like this
I believe every big fandom has its bad apples, whether it's a game, a show, or whether it's focused on an internet personality.

@@onigirifool it's clear that the fandom is downright awful filled with many deplorable people who will harass you if you disagree with them.
@@YoshiAteTooManyYoshiCookies Nah if they did Auto then it would kill the game
@@sweetserenity4145 how exactly?
@@onigirifool I actually mean something better than auto-battle, being the ability to just straight up skip the entire battle but still get the rewards. I already said in my first reply how it would not take any time, but auto-battle still wastes a lot of time, especially with how dumb the AI is.
It's always the fandoms that ruin the media
Sometimes its the Hatedoms.
Eh hoyo isn’t a pretty princes either. They practically extort genshin players compared to their honkai games
Not really
its not always the fandom that ruins it, it just depends on the game. I can name some fandoms that helped make the game better like red ball series' speedrun community (pushes the limits of that game to the fullest with a friendly competition), cuphead (modders making some rlly hard mods of cuphead for people to try) and omori (making some banger tear-shred animatics). Or maybe the fandom is like that because of the nature of the game like MLBB (a comically competitive game) or TCoAaL (that fandom is not as friendly just solely the 'protagonists' arent either).Given the genshin fandom is miles bigger than all the fandoms i mentioned combined but even then, theres still the good side of the fandom and whatver bad is in the genshin fandom may or may not be balanced by the good things (yes you can tell i barely snooped around the genshin fandom.)
bro is speaking language of facts
Started playing Genshin 4months ago. Not once have i met toxic player ingame and not once have i felt like the community is "toxic". There are some weirdos but when the community is as large as Genshin community it is pretty much guaranteed that some take shit too far. Ofc i have played csgo 4.6k hours so i might be little biased xDDDDD
The game itself is really really good and no one can deny it.
In Genshin you called this drama and controversies, in League we just call it another monday
league players are just different
+1
Torturing animals isn't exactly a league player's Monday. Breaking your mouse? Sure.
I gotta ask, Tf is wrong with the Chinese?

Amazing Digital Circus: Hold my beer (man, I feel bad for Gooseworx)
Back then the community was small. Now there are millions of people.
@@0Annou0It was never small, idk where people are getting the "Genshin fandom used to be good" from.
Like any other fandom, the best part of the "fandom" is a small group of friend you know who just happens to also enjoy the game. That's how it should be for all games, as you should never be involved with the entire community that you only see 1% of the iceberg.
surprised that elliot's story wasn't mentioned in this video considered how it was and still is one of the biggest story in the fandom
I’m guessing this is because of everything the fans specifically have done. Although the fans were a large part of it, Elliot himself was the problem. I would love to see him talk about it though
Because the fans weren't the problem, in fact, they did quite a lot to expose him and get him ATLEAST fired
Although it’s a bit annoying to see others have some big opinion on something they only heard of, I guess that doesn’t matter since we should remember that we’re on the internet…
That brings me to this video, I guess.
