I started with the rocket .444 got 112hp 125tq. Then went to budget 124 with 5.3 injectors and rocket 474 made 142hp 156tq. Now im up to the .544 with plus 2 ward heads and ward manifold, 12.5:1 compression. Can't wait to get the tune just right! The Thunderheader x series has 2 inch primary tubes.
Finally broke down and ordered my CR483, Screaming Eagle 55mm intake manifold, 5.5 injectors, and all the supporting parts I need to complete my install. Can't wait!
In my Cyclerama stock head 128" 11.4-1CR build with 2-1-2 KW, 64 TB....I tried the CR540-2, then went "back" to the CR 512 and actually gained hp, torque and reduced valvetrain noise
@MasterTechMiller are u not changing the stock oil pump from 2020 and on even on big bore kits? I think u mentioned the new pump is fine. Just wondering. Thanks
Is there a reason why you never hear of supertrapp or fuel Moto e series pipes being used on M8? Seems like it'd be a good fit on a motor that wants some back pressure. I'd guess it might be the subjective looks of the discs or the quieter sound, like Matt mentions, people seem to dig the loud tab mufflers.
I've always wondered as well. I've got a Supertrapp on my 107 and just auto-tuned it on the bike with V&H FP3 controller, so no dyno numbers or anything. I've run it with closed and open ends, but prefer the closed end now.

Man this is an excellent video!!! I wish I watched this before I started piecing everything together. I grabbed a Zippers 472 cam, HPinc 62mm TB, Tab 2-1-2 header, Cobra Neighbor Hater slip ons, and a SE oil pump/camchest combo on a 21 FLHRXS. I noticed you spoke about them all separately, but have you ran that combo before, and was it garbage?? I appreciate your time either way and keep educating us chimps!!
.How would you compare the 475c cam to the 480mt cam ..I have a 119 it used to be a 107 I currently dyno at 123hp 133 tq. V&h poweduals with boneshaker slipons. 5.5 injectors , aluminum intake and heavier header springs. I like just power comes on late like 2700 2800 thundermax tuner
My RGS with 124 APE performer kit runs the CR470 - 6.2, heads, HPI V2 intake and bassani HO 2-1, absolutely flies from @ 2700 to red line btn 6 to 6500. Crazy fast. Took a lot of time to tune well.

My question is specifically about the rinehart muffler mod you said you do. I bought my bike with the rinehart 45s already on it and im not a super big fan of them. My builder put a 475 cam in it when he did the 128 kit. What size and what direction do you make the slot in the baffle to get rid of the nasty torque dip from 2-3k rpm? Im assuming it works pretty much the same way as the fuel moto tuning inserts?
Hi Matt, I ride a 07" heritage. correct me if I'm wrong, but will the 480 MT cam in a 103" with heritage frame give me easier burnouts with the higher torque at lower RPMs. ?

I just bought a 22 RGlide ST 117 specifically for touring with the missus . It will carry 200kg plus luggage on a tour. It has Rinehart slip-ons,that’s it. In your opinion ,what Cam can I put to give me more overtaking power without changing any other perimeters . Low lifts good ,we will put 100,000 ks on this bike and need reliability so not excessive pressure on the valve train. The andrews 464 sounds mild but effective . I have a 2010 RK we used to tour on. I put andrews 54 cams in, 5.3 injectors ,58 mm TB and bored it to 107. I got 107hp and 126t. I love it it’s perfect and a beautiful bike to ride . I’d like similar in the m8 ,I miss the overtaking power. I’m in brizzy
Hey mate, thanks for reaching out. You need the CR480MT from Cycle-Rama. That will tick all your boxes. It provides massive torque nice and early. It's a bolt in cam so no need to run big valve springs etc. You can run the stock throttlebody, injectors & intake manifold with it too if that's all you have planned for it.

A question if you could please give your opinion… I have a 2022 street glide st…am planning to have rinehart slimline duals from headers back with the 4.5” mufflers partly because they have bronze accents to match my bike and also may increase performance a bit and sound better than the stock ones…along with the Harley tuner to hopefully make it run well, ie not rich or lean but properly, they come with the Dbx baffles, not sure from the website if another baffle is available or not, or if a different baffle would be better for tuning, also along with that I was considering a new cam to be installed…what would you suggest to use with this setup that would improve, the already good midrange,like around the 2500 to 4500 rpm range I usually curved use? Without other mods like lifters oil sump pumps etc…Sorry for the lengthy question but any suggestions or advice and your input would be greatly appreciated.. thanks

Your setup should make more hp and torque. My 2019 Roadking 107 has a cr483, roller rockers,fp4 tuner, factory headpipes with sharkroad slipons with no tips or baffles, s&s intake, 6.3 injectors, k&N air filter on a factory 107 breather, factory non adjustable push rods, Make 130hp and 135 torque.

Glad I found this video! I was about to go with a 468 in my 107 Road King. What is your choice for a 107 with the S&S Sidewinder 2-1 and open intake? Looking for what that 468 is known for without the heat. Great bottom end. Lots of hills and turns where I live and ride.

Then heard about this Rivas (Rocket) cam 474 which is supposed to have a similar curve. I'm looking for a mid to top end cam with as much area under the curve as possible. The CR485 has shown some MONSTER dyno numbers while maintaining a really nice flat torque curve. There's just so little info out there on the Rocket 474 to compare...
The 482 cam is so damn exhaust sensitive. Had KW 2into2 with zombie baffles.. SHIT. (Had the right comp ratio .. static comp 11.7 I think it is ) Swapped for the medium baffles. Dude retuned it bc he wanted the bike to be what it’s supposed to be .. hell of a guy .. Anyway .. night and day. Went from “this was a fkn mistake” to “HELL YEA BORTHER.. GOBBLESS”
well damn, I have the neighbor hater slip ons on my 21 low rider S and I thought they were pretty good on the low end response... what do you suggest is a good slip on to pair with the s&s 465 or zippers 468 cam?
I ran this pipe with catalyst SEPST SE-64TB SE-498 cam on a 114. After experimenting I ended up replacing the Db reducer with a 3” 2.25 ID pipe. It picked up 2hp & 6tq plus improved sound. 118hp 122tq Three years later I swapped to PV tuner, removed the cat, added Star F35A cam. They tuned it without my 3” extension (btw it press fits in and comes out flush with the end cap) I put the 3” pipe back in and pulled it again. She picked up 3hp 4tq. Now my 114 makes 135hp @ 6,140 134tq @ 3,750 I love this pipe! Sounds great but not obnoxious loud until 5k under load. It’s an under recognized great softail pipe.
@@High_Desert_Tanner Yeah so the two combos where I used the factory Db reducer lost me 2 & 3 HP and 6 & 4 foot pounds of TQ respectively. It also sounded like a scooter instead of a motorcycle.
I put a 475 S&S into my 2019 m8 114 with seemed to run really well with stock exhaust but I was told they are very exhaust sensitive. so I contacted S&S techs they told me the S&S side winder 2 into 1 was the exhaust pairing that would help. me thinks that was a give us more money suggestion very disappointed very loud and lost the bottom end I had with stock catted. running stock throttle body stock injectors, big air filter a thundermax auto tune . any suggestions to change up?

I’m confused about when you mention that you like to see at least 10-15 degrees separation in duration between the intake and exhaust to avoid excessive heat. Matt agrees wholeheartedly with you. Then starts to dog on the rs468 because of its excessive heat it produces. In the specs of the rs468 the duration is 205/235. Would that not be 30 degrees difference?
Damm I have a red shift 468 sitting in a box waiting to be installed in my 2020 road glide special. Now y’all got me thinking twice with the heat information. I live in south louisiana, extra heat is the last thing I need. I might look closer at those chris rivas cams. They are fairly inexpensive compared to cycle rama offerings. Any experience with the chris rivas 464?
@@vanillawafer8114 yeah i have been told by a bunch of reputable tuners that the heat thing is bullshit. When I say the source it came from, I get well the dude rents space from the guy that owns cyclerama. I went with the 468 and my numbers aren’t much different from that 480mt.
I am really interested in what cam you would pick over a zippers 468 and a S&S 475 . I saw where they run hotter due to the exhaust timing and being a older grind, thanks..

The combo I had to deal with was a 114ci running the S&S 475 Cam with the Full Neighbour Hater exhaust system.
It was a terrible combo.

Could be something to do with intake closing time? Might be building too much cylinder pressure & causing heat?

I have the redshift 468 in my fatbob and it make 125ft lbs and nice flat curve. Its been a great cam.
@@vanillawafer8114 yeah i have been told by a bunch of reputable tuners that the heat thing is bullshit. When I say the source it came from, I get well the dude rents space from the guy that owns cyclerama. I went with the 468 and my numbers aren’t much different from that 480mt.

How do you think the v&h big shots will tune to a 483 cam?
Yes they will. They will provide an awesome low to mid range torque curve. Peak HP numbers will be sacrificed but you will have awesome grunt
I am really interested in what cam you would pick over a zippers 468 and a S&S 475 . I saw where they run hotter due to the exhaust timing and being a older grind, thanks..
