Dynasmon is such a great boss monster, love that you can play him aggro or more controlled. Handed my OTK version to a friend who doesn't play the game much and he was had such a blast, he couldn't believe that the deck was so cheap!
I actually find the Silphymon engine to be a really good way to play the deck. Hawkmon searches all your Dynasmons and running Nyaromon egg that trashes security means mistymon (when not Silphy) gets their unsuspend even if you're in another boss monster like Magna X or Valkyrie, although those are significantly less "low budget".
Love this concept as well! I might take a look at this as another route/potential. For me it was mainly looking at the possibility of 2.0 related cards and how to best effectively used the cards newly released.
I have also found though my own testing the BT16 Tempomon can be a interesting option for lv 5’s due to it’s 3 or fewer Security effect of giving a Digimon Security Attack -2 it is also Data so can be searched via Candlemon.
I think the main thing decks like Dynasmon and Kentaurosmon/Mitamamon are missing are more things that trigger when trashed in security. The options we have are good, but it's hard to consistently get effects that make the trashing feel really worth it. That said, I built Dynasmon, and it's been a blast to play. I find that 2 (potentially 3) of original X-antibody can be really helpful in going into Dynasmon X aggressively without needing to find Dynasmon first. I also find bt6 Wizardmon to be REALLY good, it makes the deck a lot more memory efficient, and you just trigger it every turn. Same with bt8 Kari, which is a memory setter that can let you keep turn after hard evolving into Dynasmon X or playing Revelation of Light for the recovery. The deck has a lot of good tools but just struggles to be in the same meta as Lordknightmon X and anti-blocking cards. It's a weird mix of aggro and control that creates for a really fun deck that will hopefully have more time to shine in the future.
I agree with all your substitutions! OG X-Antibody is definitely cheaper and great for the when attacking aspect. Similarly, I do like BT8 Kari Kamiya as another potential memory fixer, and with your end of turn recovery can change the math sometimes with memory.
I like that they're still able to make unique yellow decks that trash their own security without stepping on the toes of others yet. I had initially scratched my head a bit seeing how similar it was to Pulsemon and Kudamon after those got recent support but it seems to still have a reasonable niche identity which is cool.
@@DIGI-PANDA It was vaguely Gammamon archetype reminiscent but got a little co-opted by the Seekers canon so I hope the expand upon the Gammamon-esque toolbox nature in the future but mainly for personal bias because Gammamon is one of my favorite decks.
As a fan of dynasmon i wanted to build a deck with the new cards but as you have mentioned the security can get chipped extremely fast which is why i thought of having some extra recovery options with angewomon ace as an extra line of defense. Still didnt get to play test the deck but extremely excited for it.
If you want to make this deck *not* budget, you can add in the Ophanimon and Angewomon ACEs to it. In all seriousness, I also wouldnt count out the old BT6 Dynasmon as a one off, since it can easily help you search out more cards with its when digivolving as well as proc-ing any effects you get off of trashing security, and it also has an effect similar to examon x to keep you at 3 security. Since the deck can pretty easily keep itself at 3 security, some of the old pulsemon support might benefit the deck a lot too.
You very well could on all accounts! I considered BT6 Dynasmon as an option as well since it's effect to recover is more immediate. ACE seemed like the play though to catch your opponent off guard though.
I plan to build Dynasmon as well; although the prices are a bit higher in the UK. I actually picked up 4 copies of the X Antibody for 75p each which was a bargin. Also; note that the low end protective cards for the deck also work for Sakuyamon. I also do wonder about the viability of a red base aggressive version. I'm building yellow base, but still. and yesh; the pain point of Skullbaluchimon is it's a 4 cost evo. Also; I think the old Yellow Dynasmon is worth mentioning. It helps you sustain your security; and it also lets you do a massive search to find DynasmonX. I also think BT17 Renamon may be more effective than that Patamon. It searches for any option that costs 2 or more; and has a -2k dp when you play said option inheritable. BT17 Taomon also lets you use yellow options on digivolve for -2 cost, although it's inheritable only works with Sakuyamon; it's an interesting card to run as well. Especially as BT17 Renamon can search it.
I'm trying to build this deck as well. I think two interesting tech cards would be EX07 Chaperomon and any version of Sistermon Blanc. Chaperomon lets you cheat out a level 3 digimon with the puppet trait, which grants you a free Sistermon. If you go with the ST12 Sistermon, you can get two free draws by trashing a card in your hand, as well as gaining decoy for Dynasmon. If you go with BT6, you get a free draw, and Dynasmon would automatically grant your Sistermon blocker. If you really wanted to, you could even add in Sistermon Blanc Awakened for potential recovery +1. As an extra bonus, on deletion, Blanc Awakened would let you return a Sistermon to hand from the trash, allowing you to set up the cycle once again.
Also not a bad route to go! I think the only downside to this is if you're on ST Shoemon, you have a chance to bottomdeck Dynas. But the double protection seems nifty!
I pulled a full playset of this archetype in 2.0 and built it. I agree that it feels like its missing something. I heard someone suggest that dynasmon x should have the effect of equalizing security between you and your opponent. Recovering up or trashing opponents sec. The problem right now is lack of recovery, you can essentially strip your own sec in no time.
Agreed! In principle you're banking on getting up to Dynasmon X and sitting on that. But Dynasmon ACE provides so much control. One pro though is if you don't have a play against your opponent's Digimon or the memory, you don't have to trash as they are optional effects.
@@ArtDadDrawsUnfortunately shinmonzaemon is a level 6, so it's competing with dynas and dynas x and I feel like it takes away from the deck in that slot.
Definitely an interesting list and it being budget friendly is pretty helpful. Can say though that that this could he tough to take to a locals depending on how casual or competitive the scene is. If its hyper casual you can definitely have fun. If its hyper competitive though. That could turn the player away from the game.
Also true. I also feel like there are players who buy into the "This is the Top Tier deck" mentality, spend lots of money on it, and then play it at an event and due to unfamiliarity to the deck or other decks in the meta they lose and feel like they wasted all that money. Framing is super important here in that you could spend less than $20 for this build, versus buying 3-4 protoforms for another deck, losing with it and feeling like you just wasted $160.
@DIGI-PANDA Yeah, but is that due to hyper, results of decks both at larger events or locals. I do agree that it can be a bad mindset, but on the flip-side most meta decks do well regardless of a players skill level. Like for my locals. It would be a challenge to pilot this deck in a sea of imperial, magna x, looga, and purple hybrid/Lord Knight. Though my scene is more on the hyper competitive side to begin with.
It's a cool deck but imo if you want to play a deck with a similar play style, mitamon has more support just because it's vaccine and its a similar price
Not a bad option either! I decided on Dragon's Roar and Revelation of Light because Revelation because both have replacement effects when they're trashed. Odin's Breath is a strict Security Attack -1 and is also dependent on your opponent's security as well.
@DIGI-PANDA in defense of odin, you'll most likely do some chip damage to your opponent, and your security will be pretty low anyway, but I get the concern.
The deck that trashes its own security is risky. You don't have "Re direct" like you REALLY need more then blocker. If you can deal with Mother D Blocker, this deck isn't goa stop enough.
@DIGI-PANDA yeah that's what people want you to think your safe, then they drop a Valkyrie ACE NEG 5K, or Shadow S, or Vikemon ACE. The deck is to fair, and if you put yourself down to 3 security. If you lose your lv6, it's hard to make the ground back up. If a deck has no protection, and it can't float. Your boxed into a corner pretty fast.
I'm workshopping a Dynasmon X, Dynasmon ACE, and Shinmonzaemon top end for Fable Waltz considering how expensive Cendrill EX7 is along with Valkyri ACE.
@DIGI-PANDA haha well, Cendrill is currently $18 or more, and there's only 24 available for sale on the US right now, and Valkyrimon ACE is $9 a pop 😭 Really hoping Bandai has some new Cendrills coming in the near future, the inability to inexpensively upgrade their starter deck is nutty
Dynasmon is a great deck and it's nice that you found a way around having x-antibodies.
Slower and less OTK but I think OTK can have brutal consequences.
@@DIGI-PANDA Yeah. It's a glass cannon.
