It's only a smidge awkward because of the timing. Regrettably, Gabubond ACE won't be making it's debut until December which is past the original timing of it's release in JP.

In the current format that is definitely true. Digimon Emperor poses a problem to many decks who want to raise up as level 3.

Ukkomon is just too generic of an engine. I think in terms of general use it's worse than DeathXmon.

A lot of decks on digimonmeta.com were on the red base, and I think with the popularity of Numemon it does make sense.

@DIGI-PANDA Been needing to get the set for a while since I've seen many people recommending Analog Youth for deck I want to play. It was a good purchase, especially since not only did I find Win Rate 60% a decent option card, but I also pulled the alt art of Analog Youth.

I saw this one as well! Kind of hilarious to be honest. The Chaos degrade is good removal but the purple Matts can also come in and help you retain memory or even go for the memory choke.

Truthfully, in some ways, I agree. I was looking at digimonmeta.com to peruse the various lists and found many lists running this type of configuration. The most popular lists seemed to be the red base variant than blue base.

I observed some players were only on 1 Hacker Judge, but I can't deny seeing it more than once could be good. THAT BEING SAID, considering Ancientgarurumon can reclaim a tamer from trash and play it, I can also see the justification.

Ryudamon still feels awkward ha ha. Out of all of them, I felt Dex, Looga and Digipolice got the best support. SOC isn't completely perfect but it has some good solid lines and cards. And of course there's Pulsemon. XD

My largest concern with the set at this point is that Numemon and Magnamon X continue seeing tops in JP. Interestingly, because Japan is a BO1 format, I'm curious if a BO3 increases the chances of these decks seeing tops.

@DIGI-PANDA Yeah, I have been reading a lot of people feeling unenthusiastic about the next few sets due to Nume particularly. I definitely get it, I'm a protag fanboy, so bt17 is still exciting for me, but I definitely don't share that enthusiasm for ex7 or bt18 nearly as much.

Definitely does feel like BT12! Funny enough, BT9 was kind of the big set that dropped some new power cards that everyone thought was busted. 3 sets later, we got BT12. Now with BT17, if you reverse back 3 core sets, BT14 was kind of a soft reboot, but build up slowly over that same power with the digidestined, Apocalymon and even Magnamon X before going into the separation of different series again.

Don't worry! DeathXmon is getting a reprint in the LM set tentatively along with being in Event Packs.

Agreed! I think right now the meta is starting to get a little stale on both sides. Will Bandai do something about it soon? We'll just have to wait and find out.

Realistically, @Frgt10Dreamer is right in that you use Analog Youth or Mist Memory Boost to get it into the trash. Otherwise, yes, it largely needs to be in the trash to function.

Truuuue. The only downside. It doesn't digivolve off Machinedramon :( It can only be digixrosed with for a cost of 8.

Seems minor ultimately though ha ha.

I'm super excited for the Dex deck. A lot of the other decks feel scattered but that's assuming you're keeping up with the Digimon card game.

Alphamon gets a lot of protection too.

Sadly, I don't feel like the writing at times goes well with stories. Good starts typically but either pacing or sidelining characters causes their series to go down in quality.

Felt very power based so I felt the theme song fit thematically with the cards ha ha. Gleaning over the other comments, the justification for the lack of red is interesting, but at the same time, the consistency between sets at times is odd.

Yep! I didn't comment on this but yes the option cards for all the megas seems very helpful.

If it's the name of the card I'll do it, but otherwise I'll continue with exactly what is on the card. Gallantmon vs Dukemon. Tailmon vs Gatomon. Taichi, Yamato, and more. Distinct changes like Vitramon, and Garmmon are some of the other big ones.

I think many players are, and with a little under 2 weeks to go, we're going to see pre-release here soon.

I'm digging the new options in the set. Unfortunately, with a limited card pool, it's hard to give everyone the love.

Luckily, there are some bottom end cards that can cheat out tamers, but it does make your transition up at the level 5 category a smidge awkward. It's doable, but it's weird. Tamer searching and trying to find the best tamer combination will be interesting nonetheless.

Ding ding ding! That's the goal here. Will it be amazingly viable? I don't necessarily think so as I've rotated back to the hard play variant for the time being. But digivolving up? I'm intrigued to try it. I do think Cyberdramon ACE is still needed for the deck to function though.

@@DIGI-PANDA Definitely, since it’s an ACE that helps Machinedra cheat out Analog and can de-digivolve if you have a tamer and grants the stack a de-digivolve when attack inherit

It's not terrible but I don't think it's perfect either. Eosmon cards can play tamers or make your opponent player tamers. But this line doesn't really have that option. At least you can low end it with Terriermon and Togemon to play tamers that you draw into?

@@DIGI-PANDA Absolutely. There’s ways around things but they’re not helping consistency. It is one of those decks that’ll benefit from the LM4 memory boost cards.

Logically, I could see that, but then what about pure red Agumon and pure blue Gabumon for Adventure 1 not being red/black and blue/purple? Guilmon losing it's purple status?
