Spoiler Warning for Digimon DATA SQUAD. Something interesting about the Gizmon trio it's that they are created using the corpses of dead digimons, which is why in the TCG you can delete you own digimon in order to reduce their playcost. That's also why they can't digievolve into anything, they can only transform into their other forms because they are not really a Digimon
Really cool that you include the trivia/lore regarding effects of the cards. The way digimon tcg implements the flavour on many effects is one of the things i like the most about this game. Also I really wish we get new Gizmon cards in the future! Who knows, maybe when we eventually get Belphemon X, which come to think of it, is currently the only missing X-antibody demon lord in the TCG
It's cool how a lot of Digimon have really strong effects that are just part of their lore in other media reflected in the mechanics of the card game. BT17 Greymon's effect references how it was only known as Koromon in the first film. There's not much more to it than that, but that alone was enough to make this card a little nutty. I'm personally awaiting the Arkadimon line and hope it includes a Lv2 Arkadimon with a DP stat. It would be fun to see it as a Secret Rare! 😁
We were discussing the short lived side deck in digimon the other day at locals. I brought up how huge mekanorimon was at that time. It becomes an auto win against rookie rush and almost everyone had it. worth the 4 drop
@jkromes20 i recognize alot of people in the Digimon community are avidly against the idea of sideboarding, but as someone who had long stints playing both competetive Yugioh and Magic, i feel like it would just be a net positive for the game as a whole. Not only would it make competetive events much more skill based impo (both building and properly using a sideboard are skills that take time and practice) but I feel like itd also boost the viability of some niche cards that would be more usable if you knew they would be netting max benefits when you brought them in (just as one example, the original Zhuqiaomon who wipes the board and flips it into an otk).
@ oh yeah I feel you. I am a yugioh player as well and I know some players who quit digi bc of the auto loss matchups. Which in defense of digi, has gotten better but a side board for the next evo cups would be cool
I think your understanding of arresterdramon is a bit off. Placing a digimon in play underneath another card does count as it leaving the battle area, which is the cause of interactions such as ex7 volcanicdramon and metallicdramon’s all turns effects triggering when they’re used as material for digixros. The reason overflow doesn’t trigger on superior mode is because of the specific wording of overflow: “As this card moves from the field or under a card to an area other than those, lose x memory.” Because it’s moving from the field to underneath a card, overflow doesn’t trigger because underneath a card is one of “those” listed areas. This does mean that effects such as bt13 alphamon, that can prevent it from leaving the battle area, can prevent the effect of arresterdramon
@@jefferyyangclip im not guna lie, I had no idea that card did that 😂😂 D brigade so rarely plays things other than Cargo 😂 that def deserves to be a part of part 2!
1. While Mekanorimon is technically the only "infinite Blocker", there is already an "infinite redirection" on BT9 Magnamon X. 2. Duskmon is not the first nor only card to change color, as BT11 KingSukamon can change both the color and name of a Digimon.
@okuchipikupiku true! MagnaX could have probably made the list somewhere and maybe Ill include him in a part 2! And yeah KingSuka can change to white but Duskmon is the only Digimon to literally tell you to pick a color and change something to that color, kinda splitting hairs but I def could have worded it better 😅
Greymon gets nuttier. After all; it can digivolve from 4 different colors. Koromon also is in multiple colors. For example; and perhaps most notably; you can have a Gabumon because it can evo from blue. Greymon is now Gabumon, so anything which lists Gabumon can be used. And since the effect lets you play out anything with Tai in name, you can play out Matt+Tai for Omnimon decks. So you might legitimately be using both Gabumon and Agumon. Or if you're feeling spicy you can do something like make it Veemon and have access to the entire Veemon armour selection. Terriermon and have access to Rapidmons. So on.
Regarding greymon and evolving into a youngest lvl , it is not the onlycard to do so in the game There is lucemon x which is a lvl 6 u can evolve from lvl 7 lucemon to lvl 6 lucemon x
@baderrmn huh... thats totally true 🤔 i guess i just assumed Lucemon X named Lucemon CM so it couldnt go over base Lucemon, never occured to me it was any 5 or higher so CM would count too 😂
My go to card is Demidevimon promo , though it's effect is unique, but it is not strong, maybe it is the card that limit card design for Bandai , they can note print a good Dandevimon because they are afraid it could currubt the game? Although I think now after so much power creep all colours have ansowers to a lvl 6 with no sources , and the rocki effect is a bit slow making all colour have reach a stage in the game they if not already would have answers But it is a unique card to begin with
Drimogemon was the cornerstone of a deck I was working on. Run it and all the security effect green Digimon for interesting hit and run tactics.

You definitely can make a part 2 of unique cards with king sukamon and others
@nonoanknows4362 yessir!! I still gotta do my References part 2 video as well 👀
Especially since they did color change first with a name change as well.
I feel like bt16 tankdramon being the only card to reduce the play cost of digimon on the field

I dont know why, but before this video i always thought mekanorimon only worked on lv 3 😂
Its sad the doomsday clock hard to pull off😅 so far i manage to get 3 pcs😂 and lost the game or win by spawn lots of token

What the- why the re-release? Forgot some cards?
@nomnom2407 had some info wrong in the original upload 😅 made some edits, should be good now!

@@skarloey1214 second verse same as the first LESGOO 😤
BT6 Agubond can't digivolve onto Greymon
The color needs to be red
@firebender9010 yep, the new Ace coming out can do it though, unless im mistaken. It has a condition to be able to do it, but can
I believe you're right on that
The new one is gonna make the deck somewhat viable again
