  • Cero means "Zero" in Spanish.
    Business was my gateway drug to philosophy and understanding humans.
    In these short podcasts, let's talk black holes, computing, physics, business and philosophy, and let's try to keep it short.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    More:
    At the end of the day, everything from product to marketing to sales is fundamentally about psychology.
    I spend a lot of time reading research papers and running experiments in the neurosciences lab and on people.
    On Instagram, I've noticed how putting out any advanced content on this type of research gets me lower engagement - so I'm going to reserve that platform to put up motivational quotes and updates, and use this playlist to put out content for people to really win at this game of life.

    In my opinion, environment does play a role in shaping an individual's personality, but there are other factors which play a much more important role. One of them being your will power which cones from within. I've seen so many people and have experienced it personally that sometimes the conditions which lead to your environment, might not be in your favour. But if the will is strong enough, you'll survive a great deal. Like if there's no one in someone's family who has done a business before, but if that person is willing to start a business, he definitely can, without needing that environment.

    • @VarunMayya
      @VarunMayya  5 років тому +12

      Sorry, but you're wrong. Even the idea of wanting to start a business came to that person from the media/news/friends/someone else. 90% of our thoughts are socially influenced. The other 10% are biological drive (eat, sleep, etc).

    • @apoorvasingh7684
      @apoorvasingh7684 5 років тому

      @@VarunMayya I understand your point but in that case, peer pressure would be the one making you do things, not your interest. It's almost equivalent to using social media for validation of oneself instead of using it as a platform for various other things, like let's say, for marketing or whatever. Maybe social media or other sources play a role in the initial stage making an idea click to someone, but sticking to that idea and making it work is dependent on one's interest and will power.

  • @mahmoodaalam235
    @mahmoodaalam235 2 роки тому +1

    Well that's interesting, because I think completely different if not opposite of what you have said, If the environment and society is the thing that shapes and control you then you have no control over yourself, I think we need to be strong to have freedom over our circumstances and yourself and you can decide consciously what habits you want to develop, I tend to question the narrative of everything around me which I'm doing it right now as well, isn't me that decide what the identity and habits are developing based on whether I agree or not with your theory?

Somehow all my roommates score top in there exams , almost everyone above 8 pointers... And there is I'm have total of 8 Backlogs now starting from the very first semester which piled up and up to 8 now. We=you+me, as we are social animals, evolution has trained other brains to manage our nervous system, other people have physical effect on your body, in totality the environment effects and vice versa. Guys watch Lisa Barrett UA-cam videos. also she has written a book, How emotions are made. Buy to dig deeper.
    Also in simple sense we talk about we feel positive and negative vibes in different environments.

  • @bhoomiv7879

    Okay, firstly nice podcast but if everyone behaved like social animals then geniuses like Albert Einstein, JK Rowling, Leonardo Da Vinci wouldn't exist who kind of rejected society and went about to find their own way.
    Let's agree to disagree.

      It also depends on whole environment not only on society and culture, for example when Albert Einstein got a gift from his father on his 6th birthday, he received a magnetic compass which he says was the seed to his curiousness, Einstein's environment was surrounded by the things which shaped his interest in science. His father and society didn't taught him to go and become a scientist instead his father wanted him to become an engineer.
