  • Please enjoy my 2nd podcast conversation with 'The Iceman' Wim Hof -- a modern-day force of nature who has mastered the art of breath to unlock heightened states of consciousness and untapped reservoirs of human potential to do the unfathomable.
Disclaimer: Never practice any of the breathing exercises described in this conversation without proper supervision. Avoid doing them before/during any activities where a loss of consciousness may prove life threatening. The breathing methods discussed may have a profound effect and should be practiced exactly as explained and always in a safe environment.
    Enjoy!

I could care less about nit picking his understanding of the actual physiological science, his method simply works. Never thought I could love cold showers after being raised in the woods of PA with one space heater and outside showers under a hose with snow on the ground. I hated cold. You can't truly understand this man's teachings unless you give it a try. One of my favourite quotes from past interviews with Wim is "You won't find the meaning of life from reading books, YOU are the book, and you need to open up." I started my adventures with the cold about two years ago. It is a beautiful and empowering thing. It can be difficult to start, but anything truly worthwhile is. Think I'm wrong? Give it a try. =)

It is so refreshing hearing from a man who understands the beauty of life, that we each have a soul and we are loved unconditionally. Fear goes away when you really understand this. Love Wim Hoff!

Hell yeah HOF! It’s easier for someone to come at this with science then the yogis who just say to do it.
In kundalini yoga taught by yogi bhajan he advocates a similar start to the day. By stretching and pranayama(breath exercise) then Ishnaan(cold shower). Great to see it all connecting.

So thankful for your work, message, and drive let people know that the power to feel and be better is within us all. You have confirmed many things I have believed all my life, but had no idea how to tap into. Your story is a real testimony to the human spirit. It’s very humbling and inspiring to see how a journey borne in the depths of suffering and tragedy could rise to the highest level of human existence. The multitude of lives you have and will touch and improve is an incredible way to honor the memory of your wife and your love for her. Thank you

Happy + Healthy + Strong = Truly Free... I realize this is 5 years old at this point, but thanks so much for posting this podcast, I'm a big fan of Wim and his practice. It has helped me (and continues to do so) with so many physical conditions from fibromyalgia to chronic arthritis pain, sleep apnea, chronic headaches, and auto immune conditions, among others. I love his perception of the mind-body connection... very similar to the native philosophy that everything is connected, we are all related, and the sacred hoop of life. Very interesting- I'm currently studying the idea of what psychology calls "genetic memory", and how it may have a play in all my physical troubles (through genetic memory of past experiences of my ancestors and the learned responses they may have passed on to me). Stay happy, healthy, strong, and free! ~Tim, Alaska

This is the best interview I’ve found with Wim! I’ve been finishing my showers with cold water for years, never really knew what I was doing, it just felt good. I love the cold and look forward to winter. Listening to Wims story and feeling the changes from the breathing techniques, I’m all in.. I’m going to jump in Boston harbor this winter! Love it!

God bless you dear brother Wim...your awesome enthusiasm, caring and focus kept bringing hope, light and resolution to the table, and Rich, dear junge Mensch, seemed to get it for a blink or two but kept falling off the wagon even when Wim came to a pause. Was this Rich's way of providing a stimulus for Wim to share more?
...it was interesting. Listening to Wim is the joy of hearing truth unfold. This is one of the many reasons why he as a nature based believer and prophet of clarity and good sense is an eloquent clarion voice for us all to awaken to awareness, balance, belief, creativity, courage and action
Thank you Wim. My coaches and i in my private practice are adopting your path as our own.
    Amen
