Hello from Michigan! The mitten people are called trolls cus they under the bridge that connects the two parts. The northern peninsula people are known as Yoopers.

Lake Orion, MI is in the lower peninsula. But the Upper Peninsula is THE best part of the state. I highly recommend. Lots of water woods and wild animals. Very few people. My favorite place to get away. In fact we keep threatening to move there. :-)

I have a friend that buys cars and fixes them up to resell. He buys the OEM floor mats off eBay to put in the cars. He said it’s cheaper than buying them from a dealer.

Michighan has an Upper and Lower Pennisula seperated by the Mackinaw Bridge. amazing state to camp and explore.
We bought a bulk lot of yarn a few years back and did well with it. BUT, be careful to check the dye lots if you bundle two or more of the same yarn together. Crochet people are very particular about color matching.

Map: yup, you need a better map. The size isn’t bad, but the colors are not easy to see. Yes, Michigan has 2 parts and touches the most Great Lakes of any state. Most folks don’t even know that the upper peninsula is also Michigan and not part of Wisconsin or Minnesota. Michigan acquired the upper peninsula in a forced exchange for the “Toledo Strip”, to give Ohio a port city on the Great Lakes. It almost stated an armed conflict. Ohio was a state, while Michigan was still a territory, so Ohio won the dispute. The UP was thought of as a wasteland back then, until Iron Ore was found in abundance, so in the end Michigan did well in the trade.

@@daverice4755 Yes, lots of natural resources were found, not to mention the trees and wildlife. You just have to look at the town names over by the border of western UP to see the history. I spent time up there as a teenager, back when gas stations shut down in the evening, so you had to really watch the fuel tank level. I used to describe it to others, who asked, as: Miles and Miles of nothing but Miles and Miles. But they were quiet, peaceful miles.
I have a 20 ft trailer death pile 😂 and another shed i cant help pass a good deal when i see it 😂
