The majority of the "elites" and politicians are blackmailed and forced to sleep with minors so they can be controlled. Along with Hollywood. Why do you think Paul Walker was killed for making a documentary about it all..him and many others tried to warn us all and paid a price. Its time for people to wake up and fight back!

This song is so powerful and is the an anthem to every working class person. I have 3 kids and am a stay at home mom because we can't afford child care. My husband works 2 jobs right now and we still run negative every single month. Our politicians are not for us the people, they are only looking out for their own pocketbooks, and that is on both sides. I feel this song so soo strongly that every time i hear it it makes me cry. I cannot wait for the day when we all finally come together and make our government work for us! We the people need to unite!!! ✊️✊🏻✊🏾✊🏿

He did an interview where he stated that he turned down an $8 million records deal because he didn't want to be part of an industry that does nothing but controls their artists. He wrote these songs as a way to cope with his depression and being part of a working class in a country that is trying to completing get rid of you. You are absolutely right! STRAIGHT FROM OLIVER ANTHONY (aka Chris Lunsford):
It’s been difficult as I browse through the 50,000+ messages and emails I’ve received in the last week. The stories that have been shared paint a brutally honest picture. Suicide, addiction, unemployment, anxiety and depression, hopelessness and the list goes on.
Im sitting in such a weird place in my life right now. I never wanted to be a full time musician, much less sit at the top of the iTunes charts. Draven from RadioWv and I filmed these tunes on my land with the hope that it may hit 300k views. I still don’t quite believe what has went on since we uploaded that. It’s just strange to me.
People in the music industry give me blank stares when I brush off 8 million dollar offers. I don’t want 6 tour buses, 15 tractor trailers and a jet. I don’t want to play stadium shows, I don’t want to be in the spotlight. I wrote the music I wrote because I was suffering with mental health and depression. These songs have connected with millions of people on such a deep level because they’re being sung by someone feeling the words in the very moment they were being sung. No editing, no agent, no bullshit. Just some idiot and his guitar. The style of music that we should have never gotten away from in the first place.
So that being said, I have never taken the time to tell you who I actually am. Here’s a formal introduction:
My legal name is Christopher Anthony Lunsford. My grandfather was Oliver Anthony, and “Oliver Anthony Music” is a dedication not only to him, but 1930’s Appalachia where he was born and raised. Dirt floors, seven kids, hard times. At this point, I’ll gladly go by Oliver because everyone knows me as such. But my friends and family still call me Chris. You can decide for yourself, either is fine.
In 2010, I dropped out of high school at age 17. I have a GED from Spruce Pine, NC. I worked multiple plant jobs in Western NC, my last being at the paper mill in McDowell county. I worked 3rd shift, 6 days a week for $14.50 an hour in a living hell. In 2013, I had a bad fall at work and fractured my skull. It forced me to move back home to Virginia. Due to complications from the injury, it took me 6 months or so before I could work again.
From 2014 until just a few days ago, I’ve worked outside sales in the industrial manufacturing world. My job has taken me all over Virginia and into the Carolinas, getting to know tens of thousands of other blue collar workers on job sites and in factories. Ive spent all day, everyday, for the last 10 years hearing the same story. People are SO damn tired of being neglected, divided and manipulated.
In 2019, I paid $97,500 for the property and still owe about $60,000 on it. I am living in a 27′ camper with a tarp on the roof that I got off of craigslist for $750.
There’s nothing special about me. I’m not a good musician, I’m not a very good person. I’ve spent the last 5 years struggling with mental health and using alcohol to drown it. I am sad to see the world in the state it’s in, with everyone fighting with each other. I have spent many nights feeling hopeless, that the greatest country on Earth is quickly fading away.
That being said, I HATE the way the Internet has divided all of us. The Internet is a parasite, that infects the minds of humans and has their way with them. Hours wasted, goals forgotten, loved ones sitting in houses with each other distracted all day by technology made by the hands of other poor souls in sweat shops in a foreign land.
When is enough, enough? When are we going to fight for what is right again? MILLIONS have died protecting the liberties we have. Freedom of speech is such a precious gift. Never in world history has the world had the freedom it currently does. Don’t let them take it away from you.
Just like those once wandering in the desert, we have lost our way from God and have let false idols distract us and divide us. It’s a damn shame.
If you go to OliverAnthonyMusic.com you can learn more about him, even his self-made cellphone interviews (IT’S A PLEASURE TO MEET YOU [Part 1 & 2) speaking directly to the people, and no second guessing of what he’s all about.

This man is Chris Lunsford. His UA-cam channel is called "Oliver Anthony Music" as an homage to his grandfather of that name. He lives on some property just outside of Farmville, Virginia in a camper. This was filmed there .
The "Rich Men North of Richmond (Virginia)" are politicians in Washington DC. I am in Lynchburg, Virginia which is an hour west of Farmville.
Though some not-so-flattering truths have been brought to light about his business practices since going viral, he openly states, prior and since, that he has no clue how to manage such things. Regardless, no one can deny the impact of this performance combined with its message.

Im from Indiana, dad's been a coal miner for 20 years, both below and above ground. Husband works in a car factory.
I've watched all the men in my life as I've grown up break their backs, work 14 or more hours six or seven days a week. I've watched the work take its toll on my dad, with a bad back, nerve pain, fingers get crushed, and hearing fading. And I've watched as his benefits go down as the cost go up. Watched him struggle to provide the best for us kids and his heart break at the world we were left to inherit.
Now I watch my husband try his heart out to take care of me and our coming baby girl. He works his joints to the bone and rages against the government who takes 1/4 of his pay off the top. Then it's taxed over and over and over again to buy food, gas, and our bills.
Our rights and freedoms get twisted away from us more and more and the folks we thought who would try to help don't do heck. It's a song for all of us who are just trying to make a better life.

So many people still haven’t caught on that the good old days of our parents being democrats in the union doesn’t mean the same thing anymore. And I’m just so afraid that by the time enough people catch on, it’ll be too late to turn this ship around. The song makes me weep. I couldn’t even get through your comment without welling up. The rich men are the politicians in DC (about 60 miles north of Richmond, Virginia).
This song gives voice to the average Americans who have been forgotten, if not outright ignored by the politicians. This country was founded as a result of being taken advantage of by someone thousands of miles away. Now that person is an entire system a lot closer to home. This song speaks to the tired depression so many of us feel, while getting a quarter of every dollar we make getting taxed and spent in a way well beyond wasteful, along with a lot just being given away.
A sad state of affairs, but also dangerous. When people being held down stop being sad, they start being furious

Children disappear daily, many from the foster care system, that just don’t have anyone that is missing them. They are labeled as runaways and the system just moves on. Also have you heard about all the children that have come across the border unaccompanied, or by men pretending to be their father so they get processed quicker, that have been “lost” ? They are picked up by people claiming to be their relatives and then disappear, never to return for their case date on their migrant status. The government has no idea where they are or if they are even alive and are trying to hide that fact.

Oliver Anthony is a real one, just a factory worker from Farmville VA. I grew up in that area, and theres a lot of suffering. Most people live below the poverty line. Drug abuse is everywhere. Here in Washington State, minimum wage as brought up from about $8.50 and hour, to $15.00 per hour, and I kept telling everyone that this is all just a false benefit to people. And that all that is going to happen, is that the cost of everything is going to skyrocket, just wait and see. And I was being told, "No, no, no! You're wrong, this is going to be so helpfulto everyone."
Now our unemployment is going up, and the price of everything has gone up as much as 500% for many items! We are being told that it's because of Covid, and the shut downs - but that would only be temporary (3 to 6 months). But now we are going on two years of these "climbing Covid prices", and the prices are still going up. It's very frustrating to me that many of the people here, just don't seem to understand how the economy works, and that they think that throwing money at everything is going to fix it. But boy-oh-boy, are they wrong!!!

I remember my grandpa having black lung from working in the coal mines, and I lost a couple of my cousins in the Upper Big Branch mine tragedy. Our mining community definitely related to this man’s songs. God bless!

That is sad to hear. I am 50. My dad's family is from a coal mining town in eastern PA. Many of my uncles and cousins got black lung.

That’s heartbreaking. I actually lived in WV at one point for a few years. However, I was from a small island in Canada. Largest industry when I was a kid was coal mining, called it working in “the pits”. Every day I remember sitting in school and hearing the sirens (sounded like the tornado warning sirens) because some man was just hurt or killed. I don’t remember a day where we didn’t hear it. Someone made a movie about what life was like for these miners and their loved ones- Margaret’s Museum with Helena Bonham Carter. Certainly the circumstances were not unique to the mining community I grew up in to those other mining towns. This song does such an incredible job of hitting on the emotions and experience of so many people. God bless you too-

From what I understand this very talented dude started as an ametuer musician that made music for fun and passion on the side of working 1 or 2 jobs for a living. I'm pretty sure after playing around some bars in his hometown he put this video together it blew up overnight and now he is already doing tours and writing more music. By the way this dude is so down to earth and stands by the average American people. I saw a video he posted about a show he was getting ready to play and he found out that someone went behind his back and tried to overprice the tickets for the show and he was pissed. He went on live and told his fans not to pay the high prices for the tickets and save their money, and that he would resume the plan of the show when they released affordable concert tickets. That's a good ol' American boy if I've ever seen one.

Part of the Miners - Minors. They are shutting down a lot of coal mines and for WV those mines are the lifeblood of many a small town, how they keep clothes on their back, food on the table, and a roof over their heads. They don't know anything else, they aren't trained to do anything else, so when a mine shuts down and they are out, it takes time to recover because they need to find a new job, figure out what else they can do, and hopefully try to get the pay they were getting before.
We keep electing these politicians that are nursing home age (on both sides!) and we need to get some young fresh blood in office, someone who didn't grow up with a rotary phone and who didn't learn to drive in a Model T.
Politicians need to stop looking out for big corporations that pad their pockets and need to be focused on their constituents, we revolted due to taxation without representation, well I'm taxed a hell of a lot and yet I don't feel represented at all. Everyone just bickers too much to get anything done and it's keeping us behind, we need to come together, find our common ground, and work with one another to prosper. Bring back the American dream! 🇺🇸

The line "Livin' in the new world with an old soul" is what got me hardest. I think everyone feels that traditional values and attitudes are being marginalized and everyone misses what's gradually disappearing. We barely recognize the new world and don't feel as if we even belong in it. I love how his performances are so raw and genuine. No fancy bells and whistles. Everything that makes America wonderful is being destroyed, especially by the current administration. I loved your reaction.

He really hits home when he says our dollar is taxed to no good. We're taxed on dollar earned then taxed on dollar saved and taxed on dollar spent. 39.5 cents estimated per dollar is taken in taxes from Earned to spent. Even money gifted after a certain amount its taxed after the gifter already paid taxes on it. Yet our country is still on a economic downturn.

We are middle class and very blessed, but these past 3 or 4 years I have watched our progress slide backward. All of my husband's hard work was devalued by our country. The meaning of “Rich men north or Richmond” is also a play on words! If you look at a map of Virginia, Washington D.C. (USA’s capital) is the first city north of Richmond Virginia. So the “rich men” refers to the politicians, “north of Richmond” referring to in Washington D.C.

RadioWV travels through Appalachia states scouting local talent. They got together and recorded this on his property in Virginia, where he lives off grid with his wife and kid and dogs in a RV covered with a tarp. That may have changed with his success by now.
He was struggling with alcohol and depression and prayed to God that he would quit drinking if he could go forward with his music. Less than 30 days later this was released. He was less than 30 days sober.
In the video he put out the day before this was released he said they were hoping to get "some traffic" lol.
He always reads scripture before his shows. He did a good interview with Joe Rogan and another with Jordan Peterson.
His shows sell out within minutes. He's turned down multimillion dollar contracts.
