@@supahoop7221 How was your experence with this distro plate (G1)? I have mixed reviews from people regarding the high pitched noise nature of DDC pumps.
No noise for me, it's been great thus far... Note: I have the higher Amp EK DDC motor, not the stock one. Stock I think is 12 amp, EK higher amp one is 18 amp. Nevertheless, no problems, no whines.
Thank you for the upload. How was your experence with this distro plate (G1) regarding high pitched noise? I have mixed reviews from people regarding the high pitched noise nature of DDC pumps.
If you switch out the pump like he did there is no issue. What causes that noise from my experience is completely related to the size of the loop and the amount of components and blocks. The pump gets overloaded which causes the noise. If you only are cooling your cpu and/or a small gpu block with minimal runs you can get away with it and not have noise. But it is recommended to swap out. Plus in a case of this size, you really should try to fill it out with longer runs. It just looks better when the space isn't left all barron. Plus I think there is a revised model that comes with the upgraded pump now. A thing to note the non xl version of the case doesn't work well with the vertical gpu mount and a triple rad setup at the bottom. Most rads and fans won't have enough clearance to put the third fan in under the gpu when mounted vertically. The XL varient doesn't have this issue. The XL is only taller which fixes this issue. If you plan to have a dual rad setup, and would like to vertically mount the gpu for ultimate PC sexines then get the XL model. It will have the look most people like, and will look symmetrical. And a final note, the 4 hot swappable drives are excellent, but with how tight the space is if you load it up with 4 full size HDD's the drives can get toasty. I recommend only using two and using the space for something like the Coresair fan controller system. It has plenty of space to hide the rats nest of wires. Especially if you plan on using quite a few SSD's, since where most people would route those types of cables would be your where your final option to mount the SSD's with a dual rad setup with this distro block. Because remember you have to remove all the SSD mounts on the front right to install the plate, and with the bottom triple rad you lose that option of mounting SSD's to the bottom. So the only two options left are using one of the hot swappable bays or the middle plate on the back of the case, and since that channel already has the correct clearances for sata power and data cables it works well. It's sad I've used this case for builds for friends and family, but never myself (waiting to upgrade, but will use this case one day). It has plenty of options and everything has been well thought out. But you still have to plan things out to get the most out of it.
@@coolcatjk30 Wow! Thank you so much for such a detailed response, really appreciate your time and effort. So I built my custom loop already and used the non XL version and used the Lian Ki variant of the G1 distro block which uses DDC 3.1 unlike the EK variant which uses DDC 3.2. I can confirm all that you said is correct and I couldn't vertical mount my GPU but I'm super happy with my setup and no issues with noise. The reason for going with those choices was because I got used parts for half the price of new and custom loop gets expensive quickly. But cooling performance and noise is excellent. It will be perfect with the pump swap and XL variant for both performance and looks(vertical GPU and pipe run symmetry) but probably something for later. Thanks again.
Hate to let you know but that pump and distro block contain aluminum and will cause issues with your cpu waterblock as well as the motherboard. Also EKWB made the water cooling parts on the mb out of aluminum
extremely irritating when a company makes a great product and then says hmmmmm these are too good. I know lets make them look terrible that way its not toooo good.
your work is okay, but two things trigger me hard: the ugly noctua fans - get them in black! And the i5 8600k on the Z390 Formula - this is kinda pointless to watercool, when you can keep it cool blowing air on the IHS of the cpu.
Looks awsome but I5 and 1080? Watercooling the parst costs more than the actual system.
very nice build but those Noctua fans are hedeous, lol but they are the best right.
They’ve had several color options for over two years now. I don’t understand why people keep putting those puppy shit brown ones in, lol.

Very nice. I like the fact that you take time to show each part's brand/model while assembling them. Well done, thanks. Merci beaucoup.
How many fittings did you use total for your build?? Thanks!
Which UV lights are those please?
Why brown, and light brown noctua fans? Why not the black ones
I did a check and it looks like the fan blades are different, so different cooling/noise. Still looks like the brown ones are the best xD
I'm doing a similar build and wanna know if I can use both water blocks in this case?
Very nicely done. I just purchased the same case but in Silver. I am wondering, where did you get the power supply cables?
Probly cablemod cables
I have this distro plate on the way. What's the link to the pump you used and is it any modding to do?
I'm curious too

Quite the over kill loop for the components, but looks amazing though
no one noticed in the description, it's an i5 8600k, why so much cooling for an i5?

well he swapped out the pump so most likely he did not have the noise issues

It doesn't contain aluminum inside the loop at all. The "aluminum" you speak of is not in contact with the coolant so its irrelevant.
