If you switch out the pump like he did there is no issue. What causes that noise from my experience is completely related to the size of the loop and the amount of components and blocks. The pump gets overloaded which causes the noise. If you only are cooling your cpu and/or a small gpu block with minimal runs you can get away with it and not have noise. But it is recommended to swap out. Plus in a case of this size, you really should try to fill it out with longer runs. It just looks better when the space isn't left all barron. Plus I think there is a revised model that comes with the upgraded pump now. A thing to note the non xl version of the case doesn't work well with the vertical gpu mount and a triple rad setup at the bottom. Most rads and fans won't have enough clearance to put the third fan in under the gpu when mounted vertically. The XL varient doesn't have this issue. The XL is only taller which fixes this issue. If you plan to have a dual rad setup, and would like to vertically mount the gpu for ultimate PC sexines then get the XL model. It will have the look most people like, and will look symmetrical. And a final note, the 4 hot swappable drives are excellent, but with how tight the space is if you load it up with 4 full size HDD's the drives can get toasty. I recommend only using two and using the space for something like the Coresair fan controller system. It has plenty of space to hide the rats nest of wires. Especially if you plan on using quite a few SSD's, since where most people would route those types of cables would be your where your final option to mount the SSD's with a dual rad setup with this distro block. Because remember you have to remove all the SSD mounts on the front right to install the plate, and with the bottom triple rad you lose that option of mounting SSD's to the bottom. So the only two options left are using one of the hot swappable bays or the middle plate on the back of the case, and since that channel already has the correct clearances for sata power and data cables it works well. It's sad I've used this case for builds for friends and family, but never myself (waiting to upgrade, but will use this case one day). It has plenty of options and everything has been well thought out. But you still have to plan things out to get the most out of it.

So I built my custom loop already and used the non XL version and used the Lian Ki variant of the G1 distro block which uses DDC 3.1 unlike the EK variant which uses DDC 3.2. I can confirm all that you said is correct and I couldn't vertical mount my GPU but I'm super happy with my setup and no issues with noise. The reason for going with those choices was because I got used parts for half the price of new and custom loop gets expensive quickly. But cooling performance and noise is excellent. It will be perfect with the pump swap and XL variant for both performance and looks(vertical GPU and pipe run symmetry) but probably something for later. Thanks again. Seems like everything from fittings i want to the components themselves are out of stock. But I am happy to see you got a slick setup. Hope the info helps others that may have questions. And want to use this case.

I did a check and it looks like the fan blades are different, so different cooling/noise. Still looks like the brown ones are the best xD

It doesn't contain aluminum inside the loop at all. The "aluminum" you speak of is not in contact with the coolant so its irrelevant.
