I love stippling brushes! I use them for a natural bronzer application, I love them for cream blushes, I have like 10 and they're always dirty because I use the crap out of them!! Lol funny how people's preferences change so much from person to person! Loved the video xo
Honestly I reckon my hands just can't do the magic thing with stippling brushes because I know they are well loved by many people! You're spot on about personal preference! :) xx
Stippling brushes apply a light cover of makeup and they should be used for blushes and bronzers. I guess you can use them for foundation but it would take a long time.
I use my flat paddle foundation brush to apply face masks, didn't like it for actual makeup. I've been browsing makeup brushes on ebay lately, I'm going to take the plunge and buy some!
I use mine for that too, I also use them to apply moisturiser on clients when doing makeup jobs and sometimes for SPFX makeup, they aren't my fave brushes but they work well for some things!
Yeah it's not for everyone but I think we all have that one thing that we just adore and have 'too much' of, for me it's makeup and maybe for you it's hobby supplies?? hahaha. I'm glad I can help to inspire you, best of luck with decluttering! :)
+Just Buy The Makeup Ah, yeah...for me it's books. I have hundreds, but I have hundreds less after the kon Marie method. so if I can continue to let go of a few as time goes by and my taste changes (and buy mostly on Kindle from now on) I should soon have no "to be read" shelves and just have the books I adore. you are an inspiration to keep the hobby in check. :-D
Do you use your brushes on your clients too? Or do you have a seperate brush collection for them? Also can you delutter other areas or your freelance kit please xx
Confession time: I think I kinda like my fake 1 dollar beauty blender better than the real thing. I might actually be an alien. I do like the little green one now and then, though.
You are definitely not an alien! I haven't tried a fake beauty blender yet but it's on my list of things to buy on ebay when I run out, very often fake tools can totally be just as good, if not better than the real thing!
High end: Rae Morris brushes 8, 9 and 11.5 are some of my all time favourites (not vegan). For more affordable options I would choose Crown brushes, absolutely anything from the Italian Badger range is really nice for the price but keep in mind they are real animal hair, if you prefer a vegan option the Infinity series is great. Zoeva also make fairly good brushes (eye sets are quite good) but they are not vegan.
I think the reason I wasn't blown away by Zoeva is due to all the raving! I expected them to be amazing but they are just basic brushes really, good for their price and totally functional but not the absolute best I've ever used if you know what I mean :)
Do you happen to know off hand if the RT Orange Sponges are Latex Free? I know the real BB's are... I love my BB's but they're so hard to get (where I live) and most fakes contain latex (and funnily enough I enjoy breathing more than I enjoy blending my make up out!)
Haha no worries! I'd actually looked it up a while ago because I'd wanted to stock them in my kit but only if they were latex-free, thankfully they were :)
4REVer well I still appreciate you sharing the info! And is there a reason you stock latex free in your kit? Or do you stock both and then depends on the client? Sorry, nosy now.. lol
Haha no problem! And it actually just happens that the two types of sponges I have in my kit are both latex free (BB and the RT sponge). If I ever come across a really good sponge that wasn't latex-free I might stock 1 or 2, but I find that latex allergies are quite common so it's better to be safe than sorry.
I didn't like that bold metals, real techniques brush either. I gave it to my daughter. Don't know why the hell I bought it in the first place??? Think I just wanted to have the whole set but now I just wish I didn't buy that one. Would never recommend it to anyone. Love your videos. Xx
You don’t get stippling brushes. They are meant to apply a light amount of product, not for foundation but rather blush, cream products- product you want just a kiss of color. Why did you title this a declutter when you kept everything?😂
That real techniques bold metals foundation brush is awful! I was so disappointed. Shockingly bad for the price. It applies foundation in such a streaky way and took ages to get an OK finish.

I just can't relate to the makeup hobby, but good job and good luck! You keep inspiring me to declutter, even my hobby supplies. Thank you!

Thanks Hailey ! I have been contemplating an ebay brush set .. Think I might go for it after watching this .. very helpful :)
Also .. I cried a little inside when I saw those cute lil powder puffs in the goodbye pile :(
I know they are the sweetest little things but I never use them!
Stippling brushes are perfect for cream blush

Cosmetic kitchen look like eco tools brushes, are they the same?
I have never understood stippling brushes either!

The official RT website states that they are latex-free :) Hopefully they'll be a little easier to get a hold of for you!
4REVer thank you so very much!!! I didn't even think to go look it up (doh) but very much appreciate that you did

Stippling brushes are infact sometimes made for foundation though. And she did get rid of brushes.
