I picked up my 2022 CX 5 in Soul Red Akera (in Oz, Signature US, GT Sport UK) yesterday. It's a great looking vehicle and yesterday being overcast the red stood out amongst the other colors. Lots of good comments by people walking past at the dealership. My previous CX 5 was a 2016 model and it never let me down. I do a lot of bike riding and the bike can be carried inside without taking off a wheel. The 2022 model is quieter than my 2016 and the Bose sound system is very good. Looking forward to spending much time with my new CX 5.
Great video, you did a great job of explaining things. I'm in the U.S. and I just learned how to adjust the power liftgate height. It's very simple once you realize it's another feature that is available. But you might add a short demonstration for those who might be interested. Keep up the fantastic job!
This is a very helpful video for learning all the basics for the operation of the car. I have only had mine for a month and only covered 300 miles, but have a couple of trips coming up totaling about 1500 miles. I find the handbook to be over complicated with so much info listed and this video clarifies things considerably. I went for the sport model in 2 W/D with auto and the more powerful diesel (184). It drives beautifully and is very quiet at cruising speeds and plenty of low down grunt with 328 lbs/ft of torque. My first ever Mazda, so hoping for a positive experience!
With the auto headlights on in town, sometimes the blue dash warning light for main beam comes on and we then dip manually, seems contradictory.incidentally, the auto hold with my auto transmission is a super useful feature.
Sunglasses case and opening panoramic roof. I am going for the Exclusive-line so there should be a boot power socket. Topping fluids up, we need to see under the hood and the state of the fuel filler system.
Just leased a 2023 cx5 preferred plus. This is my 3rd cx5. I HATE that you can’t skip radio stations with the arrows on the steering wheel now. Who In their right mind would get rid of that feature.
Just got myself one here in South Australia only difference is there’s no AdBlu for the diesel engines like the UK model. Mine is the Akera (GT Sport) and love it :) ❤
Heating steering wheel is also hilarious for this Aussie driver.... Usually the damn thing is always on fire in our climate... A cooling option perhaps lol
Oh no , I’m in USA , it freaked me out that the shifter for the manual transmission is on the left . I honestly don’t think I could shift with left hand. Yikes ! Beautiful car. I love my Carbon Edition !
Manual transmission gives more precise control, is more durable and has slightly better fuel consumption, auto headlights and wipers reduce possible distractions and operating them adds nothing to the driving experience.
How's do I setup my climate control where it turns on the heat automatically so that when the car is turned on by the remote, I can come in to a warm car .
Haha at 3:15 you can see the back floor boards were slid in l correctly and flush. Then at 3:28 he attempts to put them back while saying “these can be tricky, you can see the previous guy put it back incorrectly”… Great overall video but that cracked me up. 😂😂😂😂
I'm so confused watching this. In Australia new are right hand drive as well... Left lane driving but why in God's name is the indicator on the left of the steering wheel. It's on the right hand side for us.
Mazda cx5 for 2022 does not have wireless Apple CarPlay. You have to plug your lightning cable to car USB causing wear to your plug on your phone. Ever time you get into your car you have to plug in. So much for the advantage of having wireless charging. You still have to plug in. 2021 had wireless CarPlay but they had problems do they removed it in 2022. Instead of fixing the problem they went backwards and removed. Come on Mazda get with technology. This is disappointing. Please come up with a fix and do an update to the 2022’s so there is wireless CarPlay.
Be ready to fork over $20 a month after the free 2 year Mazda connect app trial to remotely start your car because Mazda is too cheap to provide you with a starter.

When you live in a place where there is winter and your windshield ls frozen and it's -20 celcius.
Typical Mazda CX-5. Speedo doesn’t show uk speed regulations of 30, 50, or 70 mph numerics.
Bad design in my opinion.
It shows the speed limit on the road that you are driving on the HUD, it’s excellent.
Please do a mazda 2,cx30 as well 🙏🏼
