Wow!! Well done! I've watched at least 10 videos that pointed out the pros and cons of the CX-5 (basically a review) but this is the first visual/audio "owner's manual" that I've watched. Extremely thorough and really helped answer alot of questions!
Bravo and well done! I'm very impressed that you covered everything in this video apparently without a written script; that's a true sign of a great salesperson with in-depth product knowledge for the vehicle they're presenting to the customer....so keep up the great work!
This video is the most helpful of all the videos I’ve watched. I’ve had my new CX-5 for less than a week and there’s so much to learn. I’ll be revisiting this video again , for sure. Thank you!
Fantastic video. Struggled with the User Manual and as a visual learner this was what I needed. Was able to clearly see which features were installed on our S Select trim level and how to use them. Thanks!
Great video, thank you!! Just to add an extra feauture I relized after couple of months foem buying this model, there is a sensor located at the rear of the car just under the trunck, if you swipe your feet below the car havinf of course the key, the trunck will open. Great when you have your hands full in the supermarket and need to open the trunck. Thank again, great video!!!
@@WhalerGA it’s in the infotainment screen. I think it’s settings>Vehicle>auto wipers Or Settings>safety settings> auto wipers. Sorry I’m not at my car right now and I can’t find a video with the steps for newer models
Hands down, this is the best review of this car I’ve seen all day!! Thank you so much, I was already obsessed but watching you explore all the features just made me want to buy the car even with no money😭😭😭
Watched so many videos Yours was the best for this old man. Only thing I don't understand is how can you open the doors without the foes? I saw how you did outside but can anyone open it or just me? I'm sure I just missed something. Great video tho.
Awesome tutorial. Thank you so much, it helped me a lot because my last Vehicle is a Mazda5 2014, which lacks most of those technological features on newer vehicles. I just traded in my 2014 for a CX5 2024, which I'm going to pick up today. This video is just what I needed to familiarize myself with all features of my new vehicle.
Had ours for about a month. So far we love it! Can’t say that about a lot of cars we’ve owned over the years and this thing is fun to drive. If you want soft and cushy with unresponsive steering and road feel, buy something else.
If you press and hold the dashboard stalk that controls dashboard brightness, it will also change the display to the right of the speedo to a compass and numerical miles to empty for the gas tank -- as opposed to the default gauge indication for miles to empty.
Thank You, 5 stars on 5 many dealers dont show that information at delivery. On a 2024 signature if you push and hold the lighting button that change km to mi it will change 3 screen view options.
Love my 2024 poly metal gray carbon red leather interior non turbo, the steering feel is excellent . Though lower level trim mine came with 10 speaker Bose system, heated seats, auto climate system. Has mazda navigation capability.
Great video, but the car's features are so different from market to market. I just bought my CX-5 in Homura in Portugal. I can see few features are missing but few are extra which is expected. Just one thing is completely different is that here we are getting Android Auto and Carplay wireless and it is a touch screen.
My last car purchase was a 2006 Avalon Touring. Much has changed with technical assists and operational features since 2006 and I feel behind in the learning curve (intimidated) regarding safety features and displays. This video gives me confidence to quickly learn the operational features the CX-5. Thank you.
Infotainment system on this model has twice as many options as my Base model. Neither has a way to disable "Daytime running lights". They are not mandatory in the USA yet they are being forced.
When your phone is paired to bluetooth you can make the screen touchscreen fulltime ,scroll to advanced settings in the settings screen , scroll to the bottom and find 'TOUCHSCREEN ACTIVE IN MOTION ' ....fulltime touchscreen in the CX-5....how 'bout that .
Can you be more specific in your instructions? I have a 2023 CX-5 Signature, and searched through the Mazda advanced settings with my phone connected and could see no checkbox for Touchscreen Active in Motion. Thanks in advance!@@patrickgagnon9662
I only think the CX50 is worth getting over the CX5 if you can afford to get the very top model. I compared brand new 2023 5s to 50s and I got a lot more out of the cx5, so I bought it. My first new car, let alone to be a 2023 model in 2023. Anyways..I really wanted to feel like I was in an SUV, the lower model of the CX50 at least felt more like a car and sat lower, also rode a little rougher. I lost the wireless Apple car play and the panoramic sun/moon roof. But I gained a BUNCH including little things like fully leather seats instead of that weird half leather half cloth seating the lower CX50 model had. To be clear i the exact model I was looking at for the CX50 I believe was then 2.5 preferred plus.
Can you tell me what the total height of the liftgate is? I know it is an odd question but it is something that is not listed in the documentation and we are trying to determine if it will fit in our garage.
I have had my CX5 for about 6 months. All this technology and no tire pressure monitoring system other than a note on my cell phone that I have a low tire...somewhere. The buttons on the key fob are way too small and on the edga of the fob instead of the front. For those up north in cold weather; you will probably have to take off your glove to unlock the car. Even without gloves, it is hard to use. Changing the fob battery is frustrating to say the least. The entertainment/ settings control are confusing and old tech. My 2015 Hyundai controls were easier and safer. No touch screen on the Mazda. Huge dissappointment in these areas. Great looks. The interior is second to none, and the ride is very good for a SUV.
Very instructive, but I think the buttons on the doors and tailgate for locking and unlocking is unnecessarily fiddly. I'd soon get pi**ed off with that.
I just got new CX-5 also. For 2 reasons only: 1) Car was made in Japan by Japanese workers 2) It comes with real automatic transmission, not that trash called CVT However, I can't stand their idea of infotainment system. Just listening to radio is a pain. Moreover, they left the navigation SD card slot empty, no card. They want extra charge for that. What an insult....paying big for a new car and navigation was left out. The infrastructure for navigation is there, screen, wiring, switches, voice recognition...yet, they left the darn SD card out. Forcing me to buy it, and forcing me to pay for the updates. I think I'll just use my phone...
Hope all that crap is in the Manual!!!! :) I can NOT watch a video and remember all that stuff--- (I've been researching so much too many videos all running together for me to remember it- and I'm old).. :) GREAT JOB though...(would have liked the cute girl BETTER!!)
I would say this is no doubt the best tutorial video about CX-5. Just fantastic!

best review on a mazda cx-5, great job , very detailed, I just got my first one, and i wasn't familiar with Mazda's features. Thank you !

8:30 - That wiper adjustment (+ and -) for AUTO front wipers does not adjust the speed or frequency of the wipers. It adjusts the rain sensitivity.
Agreed. That's what all of the other CX-5 review videos I've watched have stated.
BUT if you turn off auto wipers it does! Hated auto wipers, they don’t respond correctly to rain and changing the sensitivity does nothing for me.
@@null__void How do you turn off auto wipers?

I would love a similar video of the CX-9! My husband has a CX-5 and I have a CX-9. We really like them! Yay MAZDA!

I think you're wrong about the knob of the wiper.. it's not for speed but for the sensitivity of wiper.
That’s correct for models with Auto wiper control. For models without Auto (that’s Intermittent or INT) the knob adjusts wiper speed.

The RES button on cruise control is resume button. Resume set cruise speed. Not reset cruise speed.
I realy like what mazda has to ofer they they seem to hear what people want in a car iam putting the cx,5on my wish list😊
nice video, thank you
Glad you liked it!

Great video(especially on .75 speed).
More time explaining Apple CarPlay would have been nice.
Thanks!

Thsnks for sharing.
Is the mirrors also positioning with the seat memory? This is important point. Me and my wife have to adjust mirrors everytime our 2015 cx5.
In the 2023 models (Premium Plus & above) the mirrors and active driver display do sync up with the seat memorization.
Great job, thank you
Find one with an "m" for the eight character in the vin number to get one without start and stop, and cid ( cylinder deactivation ).
What trim levels are the Active Driving Display available, I prefer the digital numbers on a the speedometer
Thanks !
Excellent video for anyone that just purchased a Mazda, and especially the CX-5 Signature like I did. THANK YOU ,

I didn’t get the Sirius XM travel options for my three month trial. Is that only for top models?
You showed some functions of certain features but not all like the sunroof or connected features or hidden features.
Wow, does she come with a new Mazda ? Can she be my mechanic ? Im in love. ❤❤❤
is there any setting that would turn on the head lights when clicking the open button on the key?
Yes there’s something like that in the menu.

It is actually height adjustable, you can save your desired preset.
I thought in the 2023 apple CarPlay was wireless?
At the moment no current CX-5 offers wireless Apple Carplay. It is available in the CX-50.
Well, here in japan, it is wireless Apple car play..
The 2023 is wireless and the screen works on touch with apple car play… almost nobody knows that
My 2023 is wireless.
How does Mazda make these decisions? What's the point of wireless charging if you need a wire for Apple carplay?
Probably by cost I’d imagine and how trade offs
The infotainment is touch screen when using apple car play!!!
Yes it is! Only when on that screen though
Fog lights?

I see you don’t have the iStop function. I thought the 2023 models got this annoying “feature” added in your country. We’ve had it forever it seems.
Just our CX-50’s and 90’s have that feature at the moment.
