At $20 - $30 a crack a Franklin gets you 5 to 3 musky lures. My picks: A 700 series bucktail (that's a size 7 blade), some sort of floating/diving minnow bait (Bomber Long A saltwater is a value choice, Crane Bait, Jake), a tail-spinning topwater (TopRaider, TalleyWhacker, Whopper Plopper or equiv), and maybe a rubber lure your tackle can handle (Bull Dawg, Medussa, etc.) Not sponsored or having any interest in any way other than experience. Good Luck!
Great first tip! Gotta add some experience though. Don't give up too early on a following fish. 90% of the deal is getting 'em to get as far as the boat. Don't give up on the last 10%! I've caught fish blind 8ing on fish that followed a ways out and it took sometimes 2 dozen or more full 8s. Do not neglect vertical changes either. I've smoked unseen fish with and 8.5' rod submerged to the reel and I'm on my knees. ANY following fish is worth your best effort! All this and... Pete Maina is a stand up guy. Had some dialogue with him many years ago and had my observations/opinions respected AND knowledge added. Legendary musky fisherman and person!
🤔What tip would you add to this list? Let us know below. 👇
What rod is Pete using with the cyan/pink coloring?
@@PhilLeshh Good question. I have no idea. Pete, if you're out there, let us know!!

If I had $100 to spend on Musky lures, what lures should I buy?
Hmmm. Maybe we'll make a video to answer that.

How do you catch them?
Great question.
It's a patterning process that sometimes never comes to fruition. 😅

Figure 8 gives two corners that are moving AWAY from the fish...

I'm not sure what you're getting at, Mr. Youngdahl.
