@@CameronSchultzFC I was pleasently surprised but saw our fixtures at the end of season. Newc, Chel, Arse, Liver and Man cuty....with Burnley & Sheff U. ALL ended how I thought! But, listening to Celtic fans, they ALL said, Ange's 2nd season is when things really kick off. So...Hopeful for next season but, as a supporter of a 'losing mentality' team....I'm happy. We may have a chance to go far in Europa leagus but CL would be out of sight for us. Thanks for responding mate. By 'Small' soft spot....you mean an inner thing you couldn't possibly display at a Chelsea home game? lol. I well remember the days of Cooke, Hutchinson, Osgood and Harris etc. Happy days.
I really appreciate that thank you! I’ll be honest I’m very mixed about Pochettino leaving. At the start of the year I couldn’t see any enjoyable styles of play and was starting to worry if he was the right man for the job but I think he’s finally found a good system with the team and with a few experienced signings we could’ve been alright. I don’t personally think it was the right call, but if it was as they’re saying a mutual decision then I’m thankful for his time still and personally think he can leave with his head held high. The next manager has to be right tho otherwise the owners are really going to be scrutinised, I was going to make a video of who some of the best options are but I reckon the owners will prefer a younger long term option which scares me if they aren’t willing to give them time 🤷♂️😅
NUFC champions league underwhelming?? We were never supposed to even be in it at this stage of the takeover 🤦♂️ After all the injuries (record levels by the way) we’ve actually had a banging season!
I think given your injuries and the long term project you were going through in a transition it’s been a really solid season, and Gordon has really been incredible. I think the main thing for most outsiders is you did so well last season that I think everyone had high expectations again. Not having a consistent striker partnership, pope being out and the injuries in defence have really hindered your season so with that considered it’s impressive to finish 7th. It was a tough UCL group too I just had a feeling I thought you would get out of that group based on the form you were on. I think with a full squad next year you could be a real threat again and personally I really like Eddie Howe and the way he has you playing!
@@CameronSchultzFC I get that. I do think joelinton is worth extra 5/6 points and pope extra maybe 4/5. But that’s ifs and buts. I’m happy with the final standing. Think most true fans are to. It’s the ones we inherited from the takeover that complained. I think Howe leaves for England job after Southgate, then see what happens. But after last 14yrs, it’ll be a hell of a rollercoaster
