Don't worry about what you are missing out on. You have found the best. Yes, there are a lot of great singers, but none better than Lara Fabian for voice, performance, personality, technique, etc. etc. etc. She has always chosen artistry over fame, writing most of her own songs and carefully choosing ones she "covers". She is a true artist who interprets, entertains and heals with her voice. She just started another tour 2 weeks ago and is still great, too, as she takes her singing seriously...but not TOO seriously. That said, I can't imagine you will react to many of her performances because, well, she is NOT as popular among the general run of the mill UA-cam viewer so you won't get as many hits as you do on the "popular" "artists' of today. People enjoy different things, though, and that's OK too. More and more people are finding her and that's a good thing. Thanks for helping and I hope somehow you DO react to some other songs, if you really do like her singing.
Lara is loved by her fans because of her lovely persona as well as her amazing voice & there is a very emotional video of her audience actually singing her sing Je'taime to her (but saying Mon'taime - We Love You) at one of her concerts after she'd had a bad time in her life with illness & a painful break-up of her relationship. You will definitely need a big box of tissues for that one as I know how emotional you get. Lara had no idea the audience were going to do this & she was so taken aback & all she could do was cry as she listened to them. It's really incredible. I cry every time i see that one 😭 😢
Congrats lad and, welcome to the fan club! She sings in a dozen languages but, is fluent in French, Italian, English and Spanish. You as many others are just now discovering her thanks to the internet. Just before the millennium, Céline Dion and her husband/manager blackmailed SONY Records into dropping her (not promoting her in the USA), they feared the competition. Lara was born in Belgium (dad), spent her first 6 years in Sicily (mom), moved to Montreal to kick start her career internationally, she is a superstar in Europe, South America and Russia. She is very also popular in other markets due to her ability to sing in so many languages. As to recommendations: Je suis Malade, Yentl - Papa can you hear me, Adagio (English or Italian), Broken Vow, Perdere L'Amore, ...
I'm so glad you've discovered Lara Fabian. I found her & through listening to reactors say that she must be good as Dimash is a huge fan of hers, so I though who's Dimash & then discovered him. This is actually the first one I heard of hers & was blown away by it so began searching for more. She is another singer who puts so much emotion into everything she sings & has a phenomenal voice. Others to check of hers is Adagio (yes Dimash did this one too after Lara), Je'taime, Je Suis Malade, Broken Vow & You're Not From Here. She also sings & is fluent in many languages. Her mum was Italian & her Dad Flemish. She moved to Canada as a young woman & very fast became a favoured singer there. She is also huge in France & Europe. So glad you love her as much as we do. She really is amazing! 😊❤️🎶
Oh and on a side side, U SURE KILLED THE SUB GOALS MAN, only a month later and you’ve blown by the 100,000 goal by 17,000+ Great job, I always enjoy ur reactions esp the ones with Floor/Nightwish and now Lara, where all u can do is laugh!!! 😂👍
I don´t know why Lara didn´t got worldwide fame. She is an absolute wonder. I think she is at the top with Celine Dion, Whitney....... And then, the best languages for love songs are indeed Italian and French, both of which Lara uses masterfully. I can´t help but to cry every time I listene to her. Next one should be "Je suis malade" (I am sick).
You are screwed ! In Lara’s rabbit hole you plunged, and there is no escape, but this is a magnificent place to be 😀 She always has this haunting tone quality, this amazing resonance, and she is the best performer on earth, she grabs you from the first note on an emotional journey.
If you are amazed with "Caruso", you will fall off your chair listening to "Adagio", followed by "Je suis malade" (with english subtitles, it's important to understand the lyrics of this one), from the same concert "From Lara with love". Anyway, someone who loves Lara deserves a subscribe : done 👍
@@marinamucic908 I couldn't agree more. Serge Lama's original version has been one of my favorite songs for years. But I have to admit that since I heard Lara's version at this concert, it has taken the top spot!
I agree. "Adagio" wins for the vocal performance extreme and "Je suis malade" for the emotional charge and word painting, In both case , the version from this concert are the best you will find, Be warn however that some translation on the web do not exactly match the real words and/or meaning (But this one was not too bad if I remember well)
Absolutely amazing singer Lara Fabian, very emotional and truly mesmerizing. You should hear Dimash sing 'Ikanide' another beautiful emotional song. You must hear it.
She is out of this world. Some of her most incredible live performances you must react to are: Adagio (super must) Je Suis Malade (super must) Mademoiselle Hyde Broken Vow You're Not From Here Je T'aime Perderé L'amore
@G.O.T a really fun to watch reaction. Honest, in the moment. I subscribed. You expressed what millions around the world have experienced over the last few years due to her influencing most of the long list of great young voices out today >> that sick feeeling of how on earth am I just learning about her. Your Lara journey has just begun. For me, and I think most, a feeling comes over you in your first Lara, in my case it was a little over a year ago...you hit play and think: Good Lord she can sing...how did she do that- switch registers, go in and out of breathy to talking to singing to belting and back effortlessly...her stage prescence is memorizing me...that high note is resonating the crystal bowl off my table...oh my she is pretty...does she ever miss a note...Who belts like that...does she ever breath...good Lord how long was that phrase and note...you wipe a tear...utter a few crude but sincere adulations...wow...holy shit...this is epic...this is flawless...who is she...wtf how am I just hearing her now. After you compose yourself, listen to it 400 times, seek out and get destroyed by the rest of the body of her work and feel compelled to share her with everyone you know, you conclude...she is the O.G., a spellbinding sorceress who can play with your emotions at will. A year+ later I am still in awe. The greatest performing artist of the last 30 years. The Queen, my Queen, our Queen, long may she reign.
Caruso, is an italian song, written, composed and performed in 1986 by Lucio Dalla as a tribute to Enrico Caruso, the most famous tenor of his time (late 19th / early 20th century). He was the first global singing superstar It has very quickly become a classic of italia music and the biggest names have covered it (Julio Iglesias, Andrea Bocelli, Josh Groban, …. and of course Luciano Pavarotti). But for most, Lara's version is the best ever, as she was able, with her unique ability to convey the emotions of a song, to reveal the real sad story written by Lucio Dalla. I was told that Lucio Dalla himself, after hearing this performance, said that she made it her song and this is the best version he has heard from it. The story is about the last days of Enrico Caruso, he knows he is dying, and he is remembering all his career on stage and telling his much younger wife how much he loves her. For Lara, this song is really important as this is a kind of anthem for Italy, and she is so much connected to this country. She spent the first few years of her life there with her sicilian mother and grandma. Her husband is also sicilian.
Lara Fabian kills me every time. That voice is amazing..The emotions she puts in to her performance is outstanding. She is loved by millions of fans not only for her singing skills. She is also a wonderful humble human with her heart at the right place. Thanks for reacting to this Angel. ❤️
More information on Lara Fabian: Lara is recognized as one of the best vocalist ever seen on earth and all professionals list her in the top vocalist tier with Barbra, Whitney, Mariah, Celine, Lisa Fischer, .... In my personal opinion, she is even the best. There are a few vocal characteristics that are her signature: her famous resonance for instance that allows her to sing acapella without mic in venues with 8,000 attendees. Her nickname in the singing world is "the ring" due to this. I would also list her amazing phrasing, breath management and her pleasant tone even when belting in her upper register. So she is one of the best vocalist ever, but on top of that, she adds a few things that make her an absolute package with no equivalence: • she speaks 4 languages fluently (french, italian, english, spanish) and has sung in 12 languages in total • she is an amazing songwriter and wrote lyrics for most her songs, in the 4 languages she speaks. She often co-composes the music with the composer. • she acts and performs on stage as nobody else, she colors and reveals the meaning of every single word in the songs, and her ability to emote, to draw you in is second to none • she is the sweetest soul on earth, very humble, down to earth and benevolent. She likes to meet others, and her fans are always pleasantly surprised when this happens. A quick background on her and her career: She is belgian, but also has italian roots (her mother is from sicilia). She was raised in both countries so she speaks both french and italian as native languages. She has been classically trained on vocal, piano and songs composition for 10 years ( from 8 to 18) in the Brussels Royal Conservatory. She is still having vocal lessons and training several times a week today. She started her career in Canada in the early 90s, more precisely in Quebec, the french-speaking part of Canada. She now lives in Montreal and has also Canadian citizenship She became very famous there and then conquered France in 1997 (she topped charts there and some of her songs such as "Je t'aime" or "Tout" became classics of the french music). In 2000, she was about to penetrate the US Market, with a lot of media initial interest. Her first english song (I will love again), a pop dance song, reached number one on the US Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart and number 32 on the Billboard Hot 100. Her Album ("Lara Fabian") was about to become a massive hit, and the concert "From Lara With Love" was recorded to be broadcasted everywhere in the US. This concert is legendary and the song you just reviewed is from this concert. But a dispute with Sony on artistry directions, and the will from Celine Dion's staff to block her progress in the US, completely broke this plan. She thus refocused back on Europe and made huge success there, extending her reach to Eastern Europe and Central Asia where she became an absolute superstar thru her collaboration with Igor Krutoy during several years. She is also a star in Brazil as her song "Love By Grace" used as the soundtrack for a very famous soap opera topped the charts for months. Many of her songs became classics and were covered by the other singing legends: Barbra Streisand, Shirley Bassey, Josh Groban, … With her success in Europe, Brazil and part of Asia, she is the inspiration of the new generation of vocalists: most of them are coming from there. Thru their covers of Lara Fabian songs, USA and many other countries are now rediscovering her. She is Dimash's idol: I’ve read somewhere that, when he was a child, he was listening her songs every night to get asleep. He covered many of her songs (that she performed originally ; she also wrote some of these). Out of my mind I can list: ○ Adagio, ○ Mademoiselle Hyde, ○ Know, ○ Love of tired swans She also wrote the lyrics of his song « Your Love ». And she covered « Love is like a dream » before him (song from Igor Krutoy originally performed by Alla Pugacheva). They also performed Ti Amo Cosi together with Aida Garafulina: this is a song that she performed originally with Dmitriy Hvorostovsky and Alina Yaroyava then again later with Dmitriy and Sumi Jo, before this new trio with Dimash and Aida. Dimash is now also working with Igor Krutoy who came back from retirement and composed severals songs for him. Many other top vocalists from the current generation covered her songs: ○ Floor Jansen (Adagio), ○ Polina Gagarina (Adagio, Je t’aime), ○ Diana Ankudinova (Tomorrow is a lie), ○ Morissette Amon (Broken Vow), ○ Gabriel Henrique (Love by Grace), ○ Cakra Khan (Broken Vow), ○ Katrina Velarde (Broken Vow), ○ Laura Bretan ( Adagio, Caruso), ○ Jackie Evancho (Je t’aime, Caruso and Broken Vow, BV rewritten as « Imaginer » by Lara for Jackie), ○ Giulia Falcone (Adagio, Caruso, Je suis malade), ○ Almira (from 4th Impact band) (Broken Vow), ○ Forestella (Je suis Malade), ○ .... Sorry if I was long, but I hope this gives some context on Lara.
@@GOTGames my pleasure. Lara is special, unique. If you explore her catalog further, you will be amazed discovering how versatile and skilled she is. And also you will see she is very humble and benevolent. Then will come your disbelief : how does it come she is not known better in the US? My summary was a tentative to explain why she is a legend in many countries and underappreciated in a few others. But thru the new generation she is being rediscovered. Professionals know she is one of the very best, if not the best. For instance, David Foster himself said it. And Igor Krutoy (the russian equivalent of David, the composer of many Dimash’s songs) told she is both the best singer and best songwriter he has met in his life.
My god!!...So you finally felt in Love with the Goddess Lara Fabian, the incomparable, the unique, the Dimash's idol!!...You was missing the best female singer of the world!!... Remember that she speaks 5 languages and sings in more than 15 languages....You can see on UA-cam covers of her songs made by singers of the stature of: Dimash, Diana Ankudinova, Polina Gagarina, Forestella, Sissel Kyrkjebo, Floor Jansen, Diana Navarro, Morissette Amon, Gabriel Henrique, Katrina Velarde, Cakra Khan and others...Please react to her songs, all masterpieces, in LIVE versions, because Lara is more impressive when she sings live, so you can see why she is the idol of Dimash...Try to do it in this order and almost all songs are from the same Lara’s concert “From Lara With Love” in Montreal 1999, one of her best works: 1) Je Suis Malade (Singing in French)...2) Caruso (Singing in Italian)...3) Je T'AIME (2002 Live version in Paris Singing in French)...4) Perdere L'Amore (1999 Live version Singing in Italian)...5) Adagio (1999 Live version singing in english)...6) Broken Vow (1999 Live version singing in English)...7) You are Not From Here (1999 Live version singing in English)...8) Quédate (1999 Live version singing in Spanish)....9) Ti Amo Cosi (2019 Live version Singing a trío with Dimash and Aida Garifullina)....Like everybody here, I will recommend you to react to her stunning performance of the famous french song " Je Suis Malade", written by Serge Lama, one of the best live performance of the history....Here you have the link ...ua-cam.com/video/eHSyk4SGtuY/v-deo.html
Lara Fabian, for me anyway, is the greatest singer maybe ever. She is the is Ultimate Artist .......... she paints the piece that a composer writes. Her voice is powerful yet somehow warm, her pitch is always spot on, she enunciates each and every word, and she not only allows but invites an audience into a story and travel that journey with her - I cannot think of another vocalist who connects with her audience so completely. Lara Fabian is quite simply the best ( oh, and yes ....... she is easy on the eyes as well )
My dude, you have no idea of who you have stumbled upon. Lara is an actual goddess. One of a kind talent and storyteller. P.S. I've seen Lara bring more reactors to tears than any other artist
Lara is one of the very best in the world- a great story teller in addition to being a vocalist. You need to listen to Lara singing "Je Suis Malade"!! (And bring tissue papers!).
She is living the song. It's a beautiful way of telling a story in 'the method' singing style. It''s the total performance that grabs you by the throat. She is one of the few that can do it.
Lara is without question the best story teller on stage I have every witnessed. AMAZING artist and person! Your next option for Lara listening should be Je suis malade, Je T'aime, or Broken Vow.
Gran reacción, Lara es una fenomenal ARTISTA, con mayúsculas, deja sin palabras a todos , no existen calificativos para describir su talento. Has descubierto una joya.
Jajajajaja you dont see anything Lara is MAGNIFICENT SIMPLE THE BEST!! from this same concert you have to react next ....JE SUIS MALADE.... the best performance ever!! and other many many songs Perdere l´amore Broken vow Adagio Love by grace Tango Je t´aime Jy crois encore Yentl and moreeeee!! LOVE YOUR REACTION I WANT TO SEE MORE!!
Lara is one of my all time favorite singers! One of my favorite things about her is how she even weaponizes her breaths to make her point! As classically trained singers we’re told to breathe silently… don’t let anyone hear it… which she can absolutely do… but when she chooses to let her audience hear her breathe it’s absolutely as powerful as any note she sings! And that rasp she gets in her tone is so good!
Also, a tip to watching Lara's videos. Watch them til the end. There's usually something to pick up on. In this one, she's very quick to acknowledge the pianist as a partner in creating that music for her audience. She's incredibly gracious on stage.
Broken Vow is a wonderful original song written by Lara Fabian, that has been covered dozens and dozens of times in so many talent shows throughout the world. Here's the clip: ua-cam.com/video/FNVR0yK8Ec8/v-deo.html
I would like you to react to a song by a Spanish singer, her name is Diana Navarro. With the song "El perdón" she is a very versatile singer who sings different musical styles. With some melismas and a very particular voice that characterize her. Best regards
I loved your reaction. It’s always nice to see when someone hears Lara Fabian for the first time. I hope you will do more of her songs. I’ll look forward to your reaction x
Hi G.O.T in my humble opinion "Je suis malade" by lara Fabian is one of the BEST VOCAL PERFORMANCES I've ever heard & seen. I didn't know she existed until a couple of months ago on UA-cam. It takes pride of place on my playlist in my car. GREAT REACTION AS ALWAYS.
Hiya, G.O.T.! It amazes me how so many have said, "Who is this woman? How come I haven't heard her before?" In spite of her amazing, hard working career (did a couple of dance songs in the 90's!), she is not a household word like 'Celine', 'Whitney', etc. She is someone who most of singers, known and unknown, look up to for inspiration with total respect and awe. SO GLAD you have found her. As stated by others, when you react to 'Je suis malade', make sure it's the video with English subtitles. A must for that devastating song. Then there is 'Adagio' - both live and her original video, though she's most powerful live. Keep up the great reactions! Love the enthusiasm! Cheers!
I would recommend that you continue down Lara’s rabbit hole with “Je Suis Malade” or “Broken Vow” next. She is such a dynamic songstress and you never tire of listening to her voice. She is indeed incredible! Thanks for this reaction!
Hi. IMO, Lara Fabian is the best female singer ever. If she was American, no one in this world would not know her. She is not just a voice, but she completely embodies her songs. She can sing in 12 languages and she writes most of the songs she sings. She's also a good and sincere person. Her speaking voice is also mesmerizing. And last but not least, she's absolutely beautiful
You're going to get a lot of requests to react to songs of Lara, I would recommend looking to her concert from Lara with love as most performances from the concert outstanding. There are many individual videos from that concert for example Je Suis Malade and Adagio. Which I recommend je suis malade before. I'll have to find you on Twitch. I have a whole slew of artists for you LOL great reaction thank you😎
She's Belgian-born but grew up for the first part of her life in Italy and then to Canada so she's fluently multilingual. She writes or co-writes most of her music. She can write in and sing in any language. Here she's singing in Italian, but she can sing in French and English among others. She has sold over 20 million records worldwide and is currently the best-selling Belgian Artist as of 2021. Her early career began in Quebec so her first few albums are in french. There have been a lot of comparisons to Celine Dion because they were both French Canadian and have a large vocal range but the similarities end there really. Celine doesn't write her music but she can still tell a great story with a vocal. Lara adds an extra layer because she's such an emotive performer and storyteller in the way she sings a song. Plus these are all recorded live so you can imagine the recorded versions. You can see how Dimash evolved into the performer he is by really taking inspiration from Lara. It makes his music and performances just that bit better because of the passion he brings to it. If you don't mind subtitles, I'd start with some of her early stuff Je Suis Malade (from Lara with Love live) Je T'aime and for english ones Adagio (from Lara with Live love) To Love Again (from Lara with Love) I will Love Again (debut english single and MV)
I for long time thought she was from Canada, and for me she always was "Celine 2.0". But sadly she was never pushed and got as much attention than Celine, at least not in Germany so i remember i bought that one album with "Adagio" on it (saw her first singing "I will love again" in some stupid TV pop show), and after that she more or less vanished again.
@@beldin2987 She signed an English record contract with Columbia Records but they never promoted it. She recorded two more English albums to finish her contract but they were also woefully underpromoted. Most don't even know they exist but there's some great Lara material on them. After that, she moved back to France I think and has had a very successful run with her French album career. But yes, her initial big promo push was bungled by Columbia because they also had Celine signed to that label so there was competition. I think the comparisons hurt Lara's career because Celine was just taking a break at this point after the high of "Titanic" and she needed to rest. I think people were just disinterested in the "next Celine" when the old one was still singing "My Heart Will Go On" on radios everywhere.
@@beldin2987 she’s not Celine 2.0, she’s the first Lara Fabian. Lara is also a multilingual songwriter-composer and besides having amazing abilities and one of the best techniques, her sense of interpretation is something else.
Ce qui est fantastique c’est que l’italien est l’une de ses langues maternelles, qu’elle est née en Belgique, qu’elle vit le plus souvent au Canada, mais qu’elle parle le français avec un accent français.
Enjoyed your reaction ! Can't wait to see you listening to "Je suis malade" performed by her at the same concert. Not usually the kind of music i listen to but this one is so astonishing that it crosses frontiers of taste to become a masterpiece.
Glad to see the effet of a first reaction to Lara Fabian's song. For my part, two of my favorites performances are "Parce que tu pars" and "Tango", they are in French but i don't believe they are subtitled.
Born in Belgium moved to Canada in 1991 many years ago lives in Montreal with her husband. By the way she has sold over 20 million albums worldwide. Well known in Canada and Belgium.
now that you have started you will never stop like I did, Lara is incredible not only for her voice but also for her interpretations. no one knows how to arouse emotions like her, you can see broken vow, pas sans toi, to love again, perdere l'amore, adagio and much more
So sad, after so many years as a singer, people to recognize her huge talent because of Dimash. At least..... better late than never. Wait to listen to "Je suis malade"
Many people also discovered Dimash through Lara. She is one of the biggest francophone artists of all time, she’s loved in many countries. She deserved a career as big as the vocal trinity tho.
You are right about the haunting tone - I can hardly take in more than two Lara Fabian songs per day! They are so powerful, they make me uneasy, they break my heart. And they are so glorious!
I recommend "je suis malade", "adagio", "broken vow", all from the same concert "requiem pour un fou" and "mademoiselle hyde" all live... SHE BECOMES THE SONG! SHE IS LEGEND!
It is pronounced LarA FabiAn. She is one of the best vocalists that can carry so much emotion in their performance. Her crowd loves her fiercely! She even uses her breath as a way to express the lyrical content of the song! She is spectacular! Suggestions Adagio and Je suis malade from the same live!
👉The brilliant singer Lara Fabian you're gonna know in the comments a lot. I'll give you some information about what it is in the song. In the song, she sings of Enrico Caruso: Enrico Caruso (*1873 in Naples, † 1921 ibid; actually Errico Caruso) was an Italian opera singer. He is considered the most famous lyrical tenor of the early 20th century and one of the most important singers in the world of opera. Caruso was famous for his baritone-like timbre and stage presence. In a performance of La Bohème he sang an aria for the suddenly voiceless bass so convincingly that no one in the audience noticed. Caruso established a new, exemplary style of singing in which the focus was not on beautiful performance but on becoming one with the character being portrayed. Caruso is the name everyone knows and to which every opera singer is compared. Those who have seen him describe the onset of his voice with the warm power of an organ. Caruso still holds the record of 863 appearances on the Metropolitan Opera stage. And it was Caruso who initiated the triumph of the record with his work. Caruso's generosity was legendary. For example, during his most successful years at the Metropolitan Opera, he gave almost all employees Christmas presents. His sense of humor was also famous. Again and again he joked with his stage colleagues, for example sewing up a sleeve of a coat that a colleague in La Bohème had to wear during the performance, or filling water in a discarded hat that someone had to wear in the performance. 3 years before his death he married the American millionaire daughter Dorothy Park Benjamin. With her he had a daughter, Gloria, at the age of 45. He died at the age of 48 from protracted pleurisy and blood poisoning. Very nice reaction. You haven't seen Lara Fabian's immense talent yet. After hearing her ADAGIO LIVE and PERDERE L'AMORE, which was the song that influenced Dimash when he was young, you will understand why we can say that Lara Fabian is one of the best singers IN THE WORLD. Thank you from Montreal.
Yeah it is right: Dimash is a fan of hers. That says a lot. And there's another song you have to listen to: Ti Amo Cosi. Dimash, Lara and a well-known soprano called Aida Garifulina give us an amazing experience. The occasion? Igor Krutoy's birthday. What a gift! - ua-cam.com/video/XaQFfqC3lnU/v-deo.html edit. Oh I almost forgot: Lara sings a wonderful song called Adagio and Dimash sings it too at I am a Singer. Hard to say who sings it better.
"Caruso" is an orignal song by italian artist Lucio Dalla and Lara Fabian sang this beutiful cover. She has the voice of an angel. You should check her singing "Je suis malade" (french song) and "Adagio". She's incredible! Lots of love from Italy 🇮🇹
A new subscriber when you just popped up on my feed when I was looking at Pentatonix (I was with them from Day 1). I was wondering if you'd found Lara Fabian and here she is. I think her most powerful performance is Je Suis Malade (from her Montreal 1999 concert, not the studio recording). It is one of the most shattering performances I've ever seen. I think it is so much more powerful than even Caruso, so be prepared. And keep the video going well after she finishes singing and she stays in the song long after it's over. Adagio is another amazing song (from the same concert). And Broken Vow is a song she wrote that many others have also performed. Your reactions are so real and authentic and it is a joy to watch you discover these amazing performers.
Nice reaction. Lara Fabian is incredible, a wonderful vocalist and masterful emotive storyteller on stage. As others have suggested, check out 'Broken Vow', 'Adagio' and 'Je suis malade' , live masterpieces all three. Welcome on the Lara Fabian journey.
Dimash sings ADAGIO from the singer (blue suit playing piano). Then Lara Fabian who wrote the song singing it live is amazing. She worked with Igor Krutoy 20 years ago Dimash sings many of the songs.
Both Lara and Dimash are vocal phenomena. But if I were going to choose which talent or gift I would love to have in me, Id go for Lara 100 percent. First she is a total package. (Vocal prowess, artistry, ability to perform on stage, song interpretation, song writing skills, skilled in speaking in 5 languages, and many more). Dimash standout/strength is his vocal range and agility. He is more like a vocal Flash or gymnast. Lara on the other hand has a thick, deep and powerful voice that is more suitable in singing ballad songs. She is a master of conveying emotions and experiences. and breaking down words into syllables and incorporating vocal colors and emotions into it. In terms of vocal qualities, Id go for Lara, like Barbara Streisand, her voice is clear and pure that is magnetic in nature. (You never get tired of listening to a particular song of her/them, and play it even multiple times. ). That is why Lara's voice is more adaptable to different music genre. But again both are phenomena..
I see Je Suis Malade being requested and I agree wholeheartedly! It’s so good! Also, she sings a version of Comme Ils Dissent which is amazing! The song was originally performed by Charles Aznavour, a hugely popular French singer… he released it in 1972 and it’s the story about a gay man and Drag performer in the 70’s… the English version (which he also performed) was translated to What Makes a Man a Man. Lara’s performance of it is stunning but I’d also highly recommend Charles’ recording in either the French or the English because he’s fantastic as well and it gives great context! Maybe a duo video release of you reacting to him then her interpretation!
Hello! Lara is the top singer among women, Dimash among men. I recommend listening to the song Ti Amo cosisomething amazing when they meet together on the same stage such amazing voices. 💓💞💝
She is the best singer in the world, listen to adagio, perdere l'amore, you're not from here, broken vow, je t'aime, je suits malade, and many more
Your reaction is a typical reaction to listening for the first time to Lara.🙂 Welcome to her world! Look for more!
Yes listening Lara Fabian is a full experience like no other. She is a master vocalist. And more of that, she's an adorable human being.
Haunting,,, no. Mesmerizing,,, absolutely. She blows me away...
Lara Fabian is the woman Dimash has carried a torch for since he was around 12.
The best performer EVER.
The song to love again live shows every inch of her voice soul and talent
Just before the millennium, Céline Dion and her husband/manager blackmailed SONY Records into dropping her (not promoting her in the USA),
they feared the competition. Lara was born in Belgium (dad), spent her first 6 years in Sicily (mom), moved to Montreal
to kick start her career internationally, she is a superstar in Europe, South America and Russia. She is very also popular in
other markets due to her ability to sing in so many languages.
As to recommendations: Je suis Malade, Yentl - Papa can you hear me, Adagio (English or Italian), Broken Vow, Perdere L'Amore, ...
Yes, Dimash and Lara. They don't get the credit they deserve. It is so sad. Thank you so much for you reaction 😍❤️
React to Lara Fabian - Je suis malade. There is a video with eng subs too.
I recommend “ je suis malade “ , it’s in french , but you can feel the emotions anyway, just as in this song by the way…
Seconded but FOR THE LOVE OF GOD REMEMBER ENG SUBS!!! The Lyrics are essential to understand the message and anguish she's portraying.
I agree; "Je suis malade" is one of her best songs/performances ever... ua-cam.com/video/5kp0dw4MuWs/v-deo.html
This is "the" song 💯%
Will happily check it out ❤️
I'm so glad you've discovered Lara Fabian. 😊❤️🎶
Oh and on a side side, U SURE KILLED THE SUB GOALS MAN, only a month later and you’ve blown by the 100,000 goal by 17,000+
Great job, I always enjoy ur reactions esp the ones with Floor/Nightwish and now Lara, where all u can do is laugh!!!
Kind of a hypnotic spell, eh? Wow.
Lara is a masterclass by herself
You are screwed ! In Lara’s rabbit hole you plunged, and there is no escape, but this is a magnificent place to be 😀
She always has this haunting tone quality, this amazing resonance, and she is the best performer on earth, she grabs you from the first note on an emotional journey.
Well said Eric. He is definitely sliding down the Lara rabbit hole now. Resistance is futile😁
Hahahaha. I laughed out loud at "you are screwed", because it's sooooooooooooo true.
haha....your reaction! she is absolutely fabulous yeeeah. Caruso, also Je suis malade, and also Adagio....she sings in eleven different languages too
If you are amazed with "Caruso", you will fall off your chair listening to "Adagio", followed by "Je suis malade" (with english subtitles, it's important to understand the lyrics of this one), from the same concert "From Lara with love".
Anyway, someone who loves Lara deserves a subscribe : done 👍
Lara Fabian's rendition of Je suis malade is the best performance of that song EVER (and there's been many covers).
@@marinamucic908 I couldn't agree more. Serge Lama's original version has been one of my favorite songs for years. But I have to admit that since I heard Lara's version at this concert, it has taken the top spot!
😮😮😮😮
Some of her most incredible live performances you must react to are:
Adagio (super must)
Je Suis Malade (super must)
Mademoiselle Hyde
Broken Vow
You're Not From Here
Je T'aime
Perderé L'amore
Quelle Performance WAW Lara Fabian ♥♥♥
He was the first global singing superstar
It has very quickly become a classic of italia music and the biggest names have covered it (Julio Iglesias, Andrea Bocelli, Josh Groban, …. and of course Luciano Pavarotti).
More information on Lara Fabian:
Lara is recognized as one of the best vocalist ever seen on earth and all professionals list her in the top vocalist tier with Barbra, Whitney, Mariah, Celine, Lisa Fischer, ....
So she is one of the best vocalist ever, but on top of that, she adds a few things that make her an absolute package with no equivalence:
• she speaks 4 languages fluently (french, italian, english, spanish) and has sung in 12 languages in total
• she is an amazing songwriter and wrote lyrics for most her songs, in the 4 languages she speaks. She often co-composes the music with the composer.
• she acts and performs on stage as nobody else, she colors and reveals the meaning of every single word in the songs, and her ability to emote, to draw you in is second to none
• she is the sweetest soul on earth, very humble, down to earth and benevolent. She likes to meet others, and her fans are always pleasantly surprised when this happens.
A quick background on her and her career:
She is belgian, but also has italian roots (her mother is from sicilia).
She now lives in Montreal and has also Canadian citizenship
She became very famous there and then conquered France in 1997 (she topped charts there and some of her songs such as "Je t'aime" or "Tout" became classics of the french music).
Many of her songs became classics and were covered by the other singing legends: Barbra Streisand, Shirley Bassey, Josh Groban, …
With her success in Europe, Brazil and part of Asia, she is the inspiration of the new generation of vocalists: most of them are coming from there.
Out of my mind I can list:
○ Adagio,
○ Mademoiselle Hyde,
○ Know,
○ Love of tired swans
She also wrote the lyrics of his song « Your Love ».
Many other top vocalists from the current generation covered her songs:
○ Floor Jansen (Adagio),
○ Polina Gagarina (Adagio, Je t’aime),
○ Diana Ankudinova (Tomorrow is a lie),
○ Morissette Amon (Broken Vow),
○ Gabriel Henrique (Love by Grace),
○ Cakra Khan (Broken Vow),
○ Katrina Velarde (Broken Vow),
○ Laura Bretan ( Adagio, Caruso),
○ Jackie Evancho (Je t’aime, Caruso and Broken Vow, BV rewritten as « Imaginer » by Lara for Jackie),
○ Giulia Falcone (Adagio, Caruso, Je suis malade),
○ Almira (from 4th Impact band) (Broken Vow),
○ Forestella (Je suis Malade),
○ ....
Sorry if I was long, but I hope this gives some context on Lara.
Thank you Eric!
Whenever I find a new artist I always appreciate you all taking the time to tell me who they are ❤️
@@GOTGames my pleasure.
Hee Eric ,
Always reading your very informative comments.
Thank you 😊 💓
As you said she breaths life in the song. Truly.
Je suis malade definitely one of the best female vocal performance all time.
Listen " Adagio " from Lara with love ... by lara Fabian ..
Haunting for sure, she gives me such chills!
More more wow when you watch Je Suis Malade😄
Adagio, Broken vow 👍👍👍 but Je T'aime (Paris 2001) is a really touchy appreciation to her 😭
My god!!...So you finally felt in Love with the Goddess Lara Fabian, the incomparable, the unique, the Dimash's idol!!...You was missing the best female singer of the world!!...
Lara Fabian is amazing! More please.
Lara Fabian is quite simply the best ( oh, and yes ....... she is easy on the eyes as well )
There’s a lifetime of songs and vocalists we’ll never hear. I feel fortunate to experience those that I have. Thanks.
My dude, you have no idea of who you have stumbled upon. Lara is an actual goddess. One of a kind talent and storyteller.
P.S. I've seen Lara bring more reactors to tears than any other artist
She sings the best version of this I've ever heard and I have seen all of them I think
Really does! Absolutely beautiful performance ❤️
Lara❤❤❤❤the best
And if you listen carefully at the end when she holds the last note, it finishes in a whispery breath....Just perfect...
Normally I am here for BTS stuff but Lara Fabian is one of my fav all the time ❤ Love her so much! The next MUST is Je suis malade (live).
2:53 Welcome to the club, my friend.
Wow!
Maravillosa Lara ❤❤❤❤❤❤

Je suis malade live will make you cry. This song is great but OMG that performance…
I love your reactions every time, so thank you again 💗 👏👏👏
Broken Vow is a wonderful original song written by Lara Fabian, that has been covered dozens and dozens of times in so many talent shows throughout the world. Here's the clip: ua-cam.com/video/FNVR0yK8Ec8/v-deo.html
Can't wait to hear it ❤️
I would like you to react to a song by a Spanish singer, her name is Diana Navarro.
GREAT REACTION AS ALWAYS.
ua-cam.com/video/eHSyk4SGtuY/v-deo.html
Agreed...her story telling ability is 👍👍👍
Agree- I said the same!!
Will have to check that one out then 💯
Also 'Adagio' is one of my favourites.
Lara is phenomenal. Every performance is a journey of emotions.
For who you are missing out on, I recommend Faouzia.
Cheers!
More lara fabian... adágio and perdere lamore please
I would recommend that you continue down Lara’s rabbit hole with “Je Suis Malade” or “Broken Vow” next. She is such a dynamic songstress and you never tire of listening to her voice. She is indeed incredible! Thanks for this reaction!
I could not agree with that any more than I do!! ❤❤❤
For a while I thought you stop breathing 😃
Amazing woman. Thanks for a great reaction.
And last but not least, she's absolutely beautiful
grazie mille per questo meraviglioso video
Lara is the queen💙 please react to "Broken vow" live. It's a beautiful song with orchestra💙
You’re an incredible reactor. Love how much you feel it, it makes me feel it all over again. Much love.
I have a whole slew of artists for you LOL great reaction thank you😎
Her version of "a broken vow" is great.
@@tommypickett2461 absolutely. She wrote it and only she can sing it the way it was meant to be sung 😎
She doesn't just sing, she is an interpreter, she compelled you feel every bit of emotion.
+ an incredible songwriter (even if here it was a cover)
If you don't mind subtitles, I'd start with some of her early stuff
Je Suis Malade (from Lara with Love live)
Je T'aime
and for english ones
Adagio (from Lara with Live love)
To Love Again (from Lara with Love)
I will Love Again (debut english single and MV)
This is a subtitled version of Parce que tu pars ua-cam.com/video/gEM4VYYqZvo/v-deo.html
Born in Belgium moved to Canada in 1991 many years ago lives in Montreal with her husband. By the way she has sold over 20 million albums worldwide. Well known in Canada and Belgium.
now that you have started you will never stop like I did, Lara is incredible not only for her voice but also for her interpretations. no one knows how to arouse emotions like her, you can see broken vow, pas sans toi, to love again, perdere l'amore, adagio and much more

she is amazing......
So sad, after so many years as a singer, people to recognize her huge talent because of Dimash. At least..... better late than never. Wait to listen to "Je suis malade"
For me it was exactly the other way around 😃. I'm a big fan of Lara Fabian and discovered Dimash through her a year ago.
The whole concert this came from in 99 is absolute perfection. I've never heard any concert that was almost flawless!
I recommend "je suis malade", "adagio", "broken vow", all from the same concert "requiem pour un fou" and "mademoiselle hyde" all live...
SHE BECOMES THE SONG! SHE IS LEGEND!
Lara is incredible👋👋👋
It is pronounced LarA FabiAn. She is one of the best vocalists that can carry so much emotion in their performance. Her crowd loves her fiercely! She even uses her breath as a way to express the lyrical content of the song! She is spectacular!
Suggestions Adagio and Je suis malade from the same live!
👉The brilliant singer Lara Fabian you're gonna know in the comments a lot. I'll give you some information about what it is in the song. In the song, she sings of Enrico Caruso:
Enrico Caruso (*1873 in Naples, † 1921 ibid; actually Errico Caruso) was an Italian opera singer.
(www)

- ua-cam.com/video/XaQFfqC3lnU/v-deo.html
edit.
Your reaction is amazing. 😂❤️
she is amazing😍😍
Requiem pour un fou/Je suis malade .... are greater songs
“Jé suis maldade” should be your next reaction to Lara Fabian, also “Broken Vow” and “Adagio”
Looking forward to hear from your reaction.
I think "Broken Vow" should be next. She wrote it and Josh Groban made a cover
So did Barbra Streisand as well, even if it was not recorded.
Lara is an incredible multilingual storyteller. Please react to "Je suis malade" in French or "Broken vow" in English.
Maravilhosa ❤
