Lara's voice is so much more robust and does not move into a screech or ear piercing nails-on-a-chalkboard and that Behind and Barbara Streisand both have that makes me unable to actually listen to them. In June 2022, she kicked off a WW tour and stunned her fans once again with 5 magical concerts in Canada. Sorry if I was long, but I hope this gives some context on Lara.
Hi, Eric!😊 It doesn't make sense to say that she's fluent in French and Italian because as you well know, are her native languages. You could tell people that the 2 are her native languages and that she's fluent in English and Spanish. She speaks Dutch but she doesn't speak Russian. If you consider that she speaks Russian, don't forget about Portuguese (she understands everything and she speaks relatively well). 😉
@@vervideosgiros1156 yes she just said this week indeed, in an interview, that she doesn’t speak russian indeed but sings it and understands it quite well
Celine Dion’s staff was scared of Lara and was the reason she couldn’t penetrate the US market as planned. But she is a star in many countries. Thru Dimash, many others are rediscovering her. She has other songs with 20+ seconds notes with modulation up and down. She still sings and had amazing concerts two weeks ago. Still reaching 5th octave with power and resonance.and still the queen of emotions. She sang in trio with Dimash and another lady (Aida Garafulina) 3 years ago. She wrote the song Your Love for him and he made many covers of her
Lara is a waaay better singer than Celine Dion could ever wish to be. And Lara is way better than Barbara Streisand too. I got to dislike Barbara Streisand in the early 80’s when she got more and more over-produced and her sound became very commercial and trite. As for Celine Dion - the first time I ever heard her voice she made me grimace, as her nasal tones and tinny upper notes were just horrid. The weird thing is, that in the past decades, I have cringed at the sound of some female screeching on air. Each time, I’ve asked who’s that? The answer has been Celine Dion. So I guess my initial reaction has remained constant. Ugh!
@@OperaJH I agree with your opinion of Celine Dion and it always annoys me when people compare them. Lara has a richer and more pleasant tone, much more resonance, and far superior artistic skills.
They were on the same label so Celine management pressured Sony to stop promoting Lara's first english album. Lara may have had success around the world but 20 million albums is not 200 million like Celine so it did affect her career greatly.
@@realmccoy18 yes you are right. But on the other side, she won her freedom, became her own producer, followed her own artistic lane and was not pressured to perform daily in gigantic las Vegas shows. So maybe, ultimately, she did not loose that much, even if she had been very frustrated initially.
Powerhouse! Goodness! Who knew?!?!!! Celine is a fantastic singer but now that I’ve been hearing more of Lara, she blows Celine out of the water not only vocally, but storytelling wise she is just in the song, you don’t see her making choices, she lives every moment. But they do have a similar accent whisky singing.
She's better than Céline Dion in my honest opinion, she's spectacular and extremely gorgeous, she takes my breath away!! Yes, she's still singing and she's still gorgeous, doesn't look that much older at all.
She's better than Celine Dion, although many people compare them. Lara is an incredible multilingual storyteller. Please react to "Je suis malade" in French with English subtitles.
i really don't get all the fuss about Dimash. but Lara i love...i've known her voice since the 90 because i"m from Quebec where she started her career.
That's ok, I love both😁 I would also agree I prefer Lara's version of this song. But I can't lie, some of the songs and performances I've seen from Dimash seem pretty unmatched in my opinion. But that's just that of course, my opinion, it's just so interesting to see the different tastes and opinions of so many people😁
LOVE !
I think Dimash is one of the most talented singers I have ever heard, but for me for this song, despite Dimash's vocal gymnastics, Lara has it hands down! It says it all that Dimash obviously felt he couldn't improve on Lara's presentation of this fantastic song!
I'm very, very attached to Albinoni's Adagio. For me, Fabian's pop interpretation (especially this performance with _this_ orchestration) is the only game in town. Somehow she retains the echo & pulse of the original. No cover yet has managed to even come close to Fabian's. She built it so patiently & meticulously from beginning to end. No gratuitous vocal gymnastics & the pyrotechnics were organic. I really love this performance. Just a little bit. 🤣
@@DoggieFosters a defensive position? Nah not his fan so I don't need to do that. I was making a point that its not appropriate to put down a perfomance just because you liked another one. Nothing absurd there. Goodbye also.
Thank you my friend Yuri, for listening to my suggestion to react to the Goddess Lara Fabian, in my personal opinion, the best female singer on the planet.... I am biting my nails waiting for your reaction, because I know you are a lover of extraordinary singers like Lara...And in advance, welcome to the fan club of the Goddess!!
The irony is that Lara is a HUGE Celine fan, and it was the record company and press who created a rivalry between them! Lara has even said that when she was asked which singers inspired her she didn't say Celine because they would say that she was copying Celine! That is such an injustice to Lara!!!!!!!!!! Lara & Celine do have some vocal similarities at first , but they have VERY different styles and unique qualities. Lara has a darker richer tone while Celine has more agility. They are quite different when you get to know their voices though! So...I don't understand why people try to pit them against each other, I love them both!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank You for your beautifull and emotional reaction. I'd like you react to "Requiem pour un fou" with Lara Fabian and Johnny Holliday, you will be crazy of Lara forever, 'I'm sure. Please...!

Thank you for your reaction . I am a full fan of madam Lara Fabien .
You're not from here (inglés) Mademoiselle Hyde (inglés) Love by Grace (inglés)...
Adagio is an italian word, that means "Slowly". This is also used in music to define the pace of a music (a bit slow, between lento and andante) and also as a name of a piece of a sonate, concerto or symphony that is using that specific pace. The music from this song of Lara Fabian is a pop translation of an italian classic piece called "Albinoni's Adagio". It was written in 1958 by Remo Giazotto who was an admirer of Albinoni, a musician from the 17th/18th century. He claimed it was from him and give his music this name but there is consensus today that he most probably has composed it himself. The classic music piece is globally famous and was translated into a pop song for Lara. She wrote lyrics in english and italian for it and is the original performer. She kept the title Adagio and wrote a story with a double meaning: a woman that is awaiting to find her love / an artist that is awaiting the god of inspiration. This song has become a classic and has been covered by many : Shirley Bassey (!!), Dimash, Floor Jansen, Polina Gagarina, Giulia Falcone, Laura Bretan, … They made great covers but none of these match the storytelling amazing performance of Lara in this concert From Lara with Love. Her italian version is also amazing.
@@YBPlaysMusic Hi. You already know the composer Igor Krutoi. He workes with truly talented singers only. And has a lot of works with Lara Fabian, too. Here is the link to Igor's official channel, Lara Fabian performing "Love is like a dream" in russian! ua-cam.com/video/UAFJ_1ghqW8/v-deo.html And the trio of greatest singers Dimash, Lara and Aida on the Igor Krutoi's 60th BirthDay - ua-cam.com/video/VE7zzNoth10/v-deo.html
This song is captivating for so many reasons. It is seen as a love song...and it does seem to be that, in a way, to me, after listening and being moved by and singing it myself over and over and over. BUT it is a "love song" to a sort of muse of creativity. It's like she is, as you say, awaiting the god of inspiration (for creativity). I can SO relate to that, as an artist myself in many forms. This is why it is so powerful to me, I think. It is a longing for something NOT of this world but she relates it to more worldly situations to help translate the message for many (hard to describe in words). This spiritual force is very real and the official video helps show it, too. ua-cam.com/video/NAWQxIq-9-Q/v-deo.html It also shows how magnificent Lara is as a live performer. 'Nuf said.
You're reaction was great. I love seeing others who have the same expressions and reactions to to Lara's voice. It's trully Amazing! Adagio is one of my favorites she sings....
Lara is from BELGIUM, definitely someone to be proud of since you are from Belgium. She’s considered to be one of the best female vocalists in the world. Also, Dimash is a huge fan of hers.

Lara Fabian lives now definitely in Quebec Canada, she is Canadian citizen , has her house with her daughter and husband , a lot of work on TV at Montreal and cinema and concerts ,
nice reaction, you hit the point: she is beautiful, good and sweet. it is still sung and it is still beautiful despite an incredible life and since I discovered her I have realized that even if others have talent, no one gives emotions like her. I hope you do other reactions of this splendid creature there are many: Broken vow, pas sans toi, Perdere d'amore, Caruso, and many many others

She has so manny good performens. But remember listen to Lara only on live versions❤❤❤
I appreciate you my brother. Lara Fabian is Head and Shoulders better then Celine Dion ever was. And also the tone of her voice and the way she delivers a song is second to none. They kept larafabian down so Celine Dion could flourish and kept a lot of Fabian in Europe and did not let her thrive in America because they wanted to build Celine Dion up. So sad that they did this to her
Lara is classically trained and way up there with a very small handful - if that - of the best female Vocalists of all time. Her performances are viewed by many professional singers as Master Classes in technical expertise and word painting. Dimash cites her a a key influence while he was studying and they have since performed together. Lara is also a brilliant songwriter and wrote the Lyrics to Adagio which, as you point out, was originally a purely instrumental piece by Albinoni. Much more Lara to enjoy.
I checked and the version of Sarah Brightman on Albinoni’s Adagio is hers and not a cover from the version created by Lara. More operatic but definitely a very nice version.
I am always amused when people BEGIN listening to Lara Fabian, and they compare her to Celine Dion. Ms Dion is a fine singer in her own way, but quite frankly, she's not in Lara's class. But then, hardly anybody is. Lara is simply the best, not only as a singer, but even more as a performer. She puts everything she has into every performance. Matchless and inimitable!
Bonjour. Profitez bien. Bonjour de France 😻😻
Yuri, surprised you did not know our very own Lara! She is born in Brussels, from a Belgian father and an Italian mother. In the early years of her career, she won the world music award for best selling Benelux artist ;-)
Lara is absolutely incredible, yes it’s no wonder why Dimash is so fond of her, she also worked with Igor Krutoy. Je Suis Malade is incredible, from this same performance, so emotional. Ti Amo Cosi is Lara Fabian, Aida Garifullina and Dimash absolutely beautiful trio, full orchestra and figure skating, definitely worth checking out. I missed the livestream unfortunately, sorry. Thank you Yuri ❤️
There were enormous problems with Dion, the label (Sony). Two French female singers playing Vegas Showrooms. No, she returned to Canada and became a citizen. Her fanbase is enormous, despite America’s loss.

I love your outtakes at the end too. Truly musical people are often left speechless by Lara...lol. Honestly, she moves us to another level of consciousness. Watching a video of her composing, I can see how magical she is at matching words, sounds, notes, etc. for just the right effect on a level we can't even understand sometimes, which is why this song is so moving as well, as it is a cry for the muse of inspiration to help her (sort of).

Today, she still has an amazing voice and tone and can still reach the 5th octave with resonance ; she still offers these emotive renditions that are her unique signature.
In June 2022, she kicked off a WW tour and stunned her fans once again with 5 magical concerts in Canada.
Sorry if I was long, but I hope this gives some context on Lara.
wow ❤
Tout est dit. Merci pour elle 👍😻😻
so much text 😂
Hi, Eric!😊 It doesn't make sense to say that she's fluent in French and Italian because as you well know, are her native languages. You could tell people that the 2 are her native languages and that she's fluent in English and Spanish. She speaks Dutch but she doesn't speak Russian. If you consider that she speaks Russian, don't forget about Portuguese (she understands everything and she speaks relatively well). 😉
@@vervideosgiros1156 yes she just said this week indeed, in an interview, that she doesn’t speak russian indeed but sings it and understands it quite well
Bonsoir, Lara Fabian est française et italienne. Merci pour le partage
@@ianrobertson2282 Absolutely. I don’t know why people can’t hear the difference…
I appreciate your reaction. That’s how we all feel too. Just stunned by her talent.
Powerhouse!
One of the best reactions I’ve seen for this song! 🫶🏼
She is Belgian from birth. Her father is Belgian, her mother Italian. Speaks fluand four languaches, sings in 13.
But that's just that of course, my opinion, it's just so interesting to see the different tastes and opinions of so many people😁
Next please react "Je Suis Malade" really amazing.
LOVE !
I think Dimash is one of the most talented singers I have ever heard, but for me for this song, despite Dimash's vocal gymnastics, Lara has it hands down! It says it all that Dimash obviously felt he couldn't improve on Lara's presentation of this fantastic song!
Yeah he'll obv say that about any song he covers out of humility
I'm very, very attached to Albinoni's Adagio. For me, Fabian's pop interpretation (especially this performance with _this_ orchestration) is the only game in town. Somehow she retains the echo & pulse of the original. No cover yet has managed to even come close to Fabian's. She built it so patiently & meticulously from beginning to end. No gratuitous vocal gymnastics & the pyrotechnics were organic.
I really love this performance. Just a little bit. 🤣
@@DoggieFosters Respect ur preference. But no need to put down other perfomances to emphasise how good this is.
@@flawlezzromeo1777 That you jumped from my comment to such a defensive response says everything. Absurd.
Goodbye.
@@DoggieFosters a defensive position? Nah not his fan so I don't need to do that. I was making a point that its not appropriate to put down a perfomance just because you liked another one. Nothing absurd there. Goodbye also.
She's the best !
Dimash cannot be compared in any way to this great world star Lara Fabian.
Thank you too! Awesome that you're that excited to see the video! ;) A couple more minutes to go! :D
@@YBPlaysMusic I'm here my friend!!
Lara ia lhe BEST ONE. No one sing like this Lady.
She is still singing and she is training her voice at least 3 times a week.
Good statement.
She is perfection ❤
Great reaction. First time watching you.
Lara is a Legend. 💕
Thank You for your beautifull and emotional reaction. I'd like you react to "Requiem pour un fou" with Lara Fabian and Johnny Holliday, you will be crazy of Lara forever, 'I'm sure. Please...!

Is that cool that she has a Belgium root in her? She is one of the great vocalists!!!
Your reaction, body language and words alike, says it all : Dimash is circus, she is life.

Celine Dion has a wonderful vocal instrument, but Lara uses hers in such a way that really taps into my emotions ❤
The best ❤❤❤❤

She’s so incredible. Please react to her song Caruso (Italian) with subtitles live from the same concert. Mind blowing
Adagio for Lara is the best
This song has become a classic and has been covered by many : Shirley Bassey (!!), Dimash, Floor Jansen, Polina Gagarina, Giulia Falcone, Laura Bretan, …
They made great covers but none of these match the storytelling amazing performance of Lara in this concert From Lara with Love.
Her italian version is also amazing.
Goddamn, Eric! Can you give me an hour or so to read all of your comments? :p Thx for all the info, really appreciate it! ;)

@@YBPlaysMusic Hi.
You already know the composer Igor Krutoi.
He workes with truly talented singers only. And has a lot of works with Lara Fabian, too.
Here is the link to Igor's official channel, Lara Fabian performing "Love is like a dream" in russian!

And the trio of greatest singers Dimash, Lara and Aida on the Igor Krutoi's 60th BirthDay - ua-cam.com/video/VE7zzNoth10/v-deo.html
'Nuf said.
@@bernardachour614 you are poor reader then....improve :P
You're reaction was great. I love seeing others who have the same expressions and reactions to to Lara's voice. It's trully Amazing! Adagio is one of my favorites she sings....
React to Lara singing Je Suis Malade. You’ll see her unique talent to interpret a song and connect with an audience.
Lara is Belgian/Canadian. If no one has mentioned it and she speaks at a minimum 4 languages and sings them even more beautiful.
Lara is from BELGIUM, definitely someone to be proud of since you are from Belgium. She’s considered to be one of the best female vocalists in the world. Also, Dimash is a huge fan of hers.

She is also an amazing songwriter: she sings in 12 languages and write songs in 4. She wrote Your Love for Dimash 😀
This song was also covered by Floor Jansen and … Shirley Bassey (!!)
Thx for the info, Eric! And yes, I saw someone mention too that Floor covered this song as well! Don't Know Shirley Bassey, guess I will have to check her out.

So sad that they did this to her
But it is good that WE know how it happened and WE prefer LARA, because she is really a wonderful, soulful great woman and singer :)
This is a stelar performance wow love this
Lara is classically trained and way up there with a very small handful - if that - of the best female Vocalists of all time.
Listen to her sing this in Italian. She's absolutely amazing. Love her!
Try "je suis malade-Lara Fabian" WITH SUBTITLES

The next one for you to see is Requiem pour un fou, that’s a duet with legend Johnny Hallyday

Yes....that is the truth....the soul means everytning...
The best there is ! Read what Eric has to say, you will understand . . .
Bonjour.
