When David Foster introduced her for another Caruso rendition at his David Foster and Friends concert, he rightfully said: “I am grateful to live in a world of great voices, and blessed to have work with many of these, but believe me the woman I will introduce you to now is top of the heap of the world great voices. When we were first introduced to her, we could not believe what we were hearing. It was a voice from another planet or something”. Lara has been prevented to succeed in the US but she is a legend in many other countries and recognized as such in the music world.
Charice I remember on one of David Foster concert long ago was also beyond amazing. A girl with prodigy talent. Now she is transitioned to be a man. Sadly.
Caruso, is an italian song, written, composed and performed in 1986 by Lucio Dalla as a tribute to Enrico Caruso, the most famous tenor of his time (late 19th / early 20th century). He was the first global singing superstar. The story is about the last days of Enrico Caruso, he knows he is dying, and he is remembering all his career on stage and telling his much younger wife how much he loves her. It has very quickly become a classic of italia music and the biggest names have covered it (Julio Iglesias, Andrea Bocelli, Josh Groban, Florent Pagny …. and of course Luciano Pavarotti). But for many, Lara's version from the concert From Lara With Love 2000 ua-cam.com/video/BP2KnLemT78/v-deo.html is the best ever, as she was able, with her unique ability to convey the emotions of a song, to reveal the real sad story written by Lucio Dalla. I was told that Lucio Dalla himself, after hearing this performance, said that she made it her song and this is the best version he has heard from it. For Lara, this song is really important as this is a kind of anthem for Italy, and she is so much connected to this country. She spent the first few years of her life there with her sicilian mother and grandma. Her husband is also sicilian. She also as been living there for the past few months since the end of 2022.
Felicitaciones....eres tan linda como Lara......años que escucho a Lara.....y no dejo de admirarla.....hasta hoy conseva su calidad.....saludos desde chile.
"Caruso" was written to honor Enrico Caruso, the great Italian tenor who died young, shortly after his daughter was born.....this piece imagines Caruso's last words to his wife and his daughter........"Te voglio bene assai' (I love you very much)....originally written for a male tenor, all the great (and near great) male and female operatic performers have sung this piece.....btw, her Mum is Italian, so it is her inherited language........
Have you seen Your face at the end ? :D thank You for the reaction. Caruso and a few more songs are amongst the most beautiful songs/melodies ever written (to me). Lara brought it to the new levels tho. Before her it was exclusively male tenor's song.
@@kpeez well, its originally by Lucio Dalla. A pop tenor who wrote it because he knew Enrico Caruso personally. Arguably, the best cover tho is by Luciano Pavarotti ypu can try his version (any). It's amazing, but compared to Lara... (Imo) it lacks soul.
Diana Ankudinova has released a new song! There are not enough words to describe the feeling of flight that this song gives. Diana Ankudinova - The Day You... A surprise awaits you!

@@LemonSquezzed85 - Well, I wonder how he did that; inquiring minds really want to know? CARUSO died in 1921, and DALLA was born in 1943.
