- As more and more aluminum coils are introduced to the market, technicians will be faced with the challenge of making aluminum repairs. Uniweld's UNI4300 kit can be used to join aluminum, as well as dissimilar metals like aluminum to copper, aluminum to brass or copper to brass.

Hi, irrelevant but does aluwelding with your product UNI4100 require the use of any specific flux or is it fluxcoated?
Is there any relevant video with this product you could recommend ? thanks
/hey guys, do you flow nitrogen during the repair? thanks
Been at it for hours to fill in a pin hole. Not easy.
A decent flux is key, the old fluxes have been banned but they were good
thank you
I'm sure that this product has it's application but, most techs won't even try to fix a copper tube evap. What would posses them to attempt aluminum?
Because
1.The evap is discontinued
2. It's Christmas and everything is closed and the guy has 2000 dollars worth of meat in his freezer
3. Fixing the coil is easier than replacing it very often
4. Fixing it is cheaper everytime
I could go on
thank you very much sir, but
How can purchased in Ahmedabad india
Can mapp gas torch be used when joining brass to copper?
Yes, because the solder has a low melting point of just 500°F.
What were the settings on the acetylene and oxygen??Cause it's looks easy on video!!!,,,but it's extra hard ,,!!!! But anybody that worked for them post or send me video!!!
Where can I find it
I have used aluminium solder and the problem was the fact that the solder melted almost at the same temperature as the aluminium. The solution is clearly a lower solder temperature, The strength of the solder is not really important because the heat will soften and thus weaken the aluminium that is welded. I will give it a try, ordering it today.
And? What happened after you tried it?!
@@westairmtl1284we've been waiting 5 years
I bought this stuff for a hole repair on my car condenser coil!!
This video may make a difference!!
I was applying flux before I heated the area!!!!
Like water line copper pipes!! This aluminum technique is a little different!!!
I personally like copper coils!!!
Heat flows better & u can get copper red hot & flow brazing alloys 👍
Aluminum is cheaper....but the cost of an evaporator coil didn't go down!?!?!?!?!
Greed still the same!!!!
Prices jus continue to go up even when material cost cheaper 🤷🏻♂️🤔🤷🏾♂️🤢
where can i buy it in india from?
Matt, what torch were you using, and gas? I need to do your repair and I need help to start.
The torch used in the video was a 71 welding handle. We used a TYPE17-2 tip with an oxyacetylene flame. If working in tight spaces, we recommend a MTW-2 tip over the TYPE17-2.
brass to copper ka breezing dikhayey
hi guys, what torch tip is the one you are using on the video, I would li,e to buys one for my toolbox
Tip used was our TYPE17-2.
the truth is that the procedure is respectable but it is a lot of hassle to do a repair there are other more efficient, more practical and cleaner procedures.
بالعكس لحام النحاس أفضل واستخدام القصدير لحام وعلاج الفجوات يعتبر بديل سيء على المدى القريب في معا مرور الوقت سيتأكل القصدير بديل غير عملي ابدا ومكلف لا انصح به
Went out today and purchased this product.
followed the directions exactly. first try FAILED.
So I turned on the video and watched step by step and attempted to weld 6 more times all with new copper and aluminum and every time Failed.
I DO NOT recommend this product
+johnny30806 We have 2 videos showing the use of UNI-4300. In this video we show how to repair an aluminum coil, which does not involve the joining of copper to aluminum as indicated in your comments. In the following video, we demonstrate how to join a copper tube to an aluminum tube: ua-cam.com/video/DS0jhf5i5cU/v-deo.html
If you have not yet watched this video, hopefully it will enable you to achieve your goal. Also note that when using UNI-4300, there are 3 critical factors:
1. Ensuring the metals are clean and free of oil
2. Use low heat
3. Let the metals transfer the heat to the flux. Be generous with the flux, adding more if necessary while the metal is being heated.
I did all of this. FAIL
me too. i didn't get the syringe but that would of helped, i think
f that they're getting a new coil
Mike Ranochak lmao exactly. Fixing a copper tube coil usually isn't worth your time. Why in hell would you try to fix a throwaway aluminum coil? Not like it was built to last anyways
Uhh, how is aluminum more efficient then copper in a radiator?
+2Awesome
Cost efficiency to the manufacturer.
ardvarkkkkk1 Is that something a manufacturer should advertise (deceptive much lol)?
+2Awesome This is more a question for the manufactures of radiators. Note that this video shows a fin coil, which is used in evaporators and condensing units for air conditioning and refrigeration systems. Regardless, the use of aluminum will result in cost efficiency, which in turn results in savings to the consumer. There are technical benefits as well, which undoubtedly manufacturers would highlight in their advertising. Either way, the manufacturers of these components are the ones that would best be prepared to detail the benefits of their aluminum coils.
Aluminium, though more efficient than copper, will undoubtedly prove less durable and will thus lead to problems earlier, causing the owner to purchase a newer vehicle sooner, it's called savvy business acumen!
Is the cost, aluminium ist much more cheap than copper
PLEASE Solder not Sodder. otherwise good
No
Technician is connect
Serios 😏
Don't buy this product doesn't work good at all I buy it at tropic supply it doesn't work just replace the coils with new ones
