ACTUALLY Thunderaan has only been the Windlord since Legion. He's the guy who's essence was imprisoned in the Thunderfury bindings. Al'akir was the Windlord before we killed him in Cata.

So because the wind lords legendary being obtained by a hero in lore ( the dead dwarf) could we assume the same thing happened with the other legendary that was obtained from ragnaros? If I remember correctly there was some flavor text on the weapon that says something like " within the weapon a single ember still flickers". I know a new firelord was propped up In legion but maybe a crazy shaman could get there hands on it so rag could attempt a comeback.
