Hi Nobbel! I'm originally a Hearthstone player that never played WoW before starting the game. Entering with a brief knowledge about the culture and history of Warcraft, I wanted to understand the epic characters portrayed in Hearthstone. To fulfil my curiosity, I searched for videos exactly like yours. They are absolutely amazing and informative. They really awake my curiousity for the vast Warcraft culture. Thank you and keep up the good work!
Exactly, I don't really want to play WoW, but I have always respected the rich lore of the series. I don't know if I've ever seen a series with more lore than this, and I really enjoy the way Nobbel presents them as well.
"He who was ancient when this world was young" this sentence is so epic and feels almost like a childhood memory to me, even if I was in my 20s back then :D
I love these stories so much. I love how you mix book lore with game lore and with cinematics and images. That is pro storytelling. I prefer watching these rather than any stupid tv show any day. You sir are a gentleman and a scholar and most of all a distinguished story teller. I hope you will cover the story of Sargeras and the Great Sundering, The high elves and the troll empires of 10000 years ago. I was always fascinated by their ruins found all over old Azeroth and i never knew their story. Have a great day.
It's so funny how Executus is like "I'm going to get my mommy" and goes and gets Ragnaros taunting us about how screwed we are then Ragnaros is more angry at him than us lol.
I wish that Blizz would make the lore justice with videos like this. You make the game more interesting for me who doesn't even play anymore! you make me want to come back. Thank you for your awesome work nobble :)
"Puny mortal do you dare, to bring your magic to my lair! I sense the soul of Tarecgosa bound into your being. Too soon! You have come unprepared! to challenge me so laisezz-faire, so now you'll face the wrath of fire deep beneath your skin!" Every time I hear the name: Ragnaros.
Nobbel, I am so glad that you take your time and read about the lores and also enjoy doing so! I've allways wanted to know more about World of Warcraft and it's history but never really knew where to look more then In-game. (I'm also a lazy person to find it x)) been thinking of buying a couple of books if there are any. I'm truly thanksfull that you do this. Often listen to you when I play just to know why thinks looks the way it does. I just wanted to tell you that as long as there's history in the game keep them storys coming! Thanks again ^^
I am amazed by how much story and lore is behind World of Warcraft. I played during Vanilla and didn’t get any of this back story. If it was there I must have just clicked the quests and didn’t read it. With that said, with all this story, how is this not a Netflix or other streaming series. There is so much here. I love these Lore videos. Sometimes it’s hard for me to follow as the narrator talks fast and his accent is kind of hard for me to decipher at times, but I still love watching these videos.
Ive allways wonderd why Ragnaros accepted the orcs to use blackrock mountain as their base of operation. He could proberbly either have driven them out or bound them to his will. I first thought that perhaps their bloodcurse somehow protected them but if he was "sleaping" then he wouldnt know or bother with them. I mean Nefarious kind of took a rough grip on the old hord and ruled them harder then Blackhand or Doomhammer ever did...
BY FIRE BE PURGED Ragnaros is such a great and hot teacher that with a buring interest teaches ous about flames with such a warming kindness but also can sometimes get into such a heated moments that makes u melt he have lighted a fire in our hearts xD
I really enjoyed the 10th anniversary raid for ragnaros. Started playing at end of BC and i found it awesome that i could experience this boss as it should have been fought. Makes me think that blizz should scale old content. Would be amazing.
Hey Nobbel. I pretty much only play this game because I love the story but theres so much I didnt know - thats why im watching all your vids. Thanks for all this awesome information.
Did someone say [Thunderfury, Blesse- aw, screw it. Anyways, it's a shame UA-cam's faulty system has claimed you as yet another victim Nobbel. Fortunately all it's done is forced you to split your videos up. It won't bother me one bit, that's for sure. Keep on keeping on and stick it to the man!
That is interesting to have different elemental planes and elemental lords. Elemental powers are my favorite trope. Having special planes takes it to a new level. Maybe one element alone is too harsh for regular life. So that is why the elemental become villains. I do like the inclusion of dwarf lore.
I did not get one thing, if the elementals were banished to their respective elemental planes, how could they still fight each other for more 5 thousand years?
Hearthstone is based of of World of warcraft (this game) and both hearthstone and WoW are made by the same people. And its RAGNAROS Not Ranarosh. Learn to spell and trying to be clever.
The annoying thing is the retcon related to the elementals in general. Unlike other RPGs they are NOT from an elemental plane originally. As you said it was created to imprison them. It makes no sense that once defeated they would go back there like in other fantasy RPGs. They only ended there the first time because they were forced in there. So storywise they would simply die for good once we killed them in Azeroth (that is actually their original home). I mean we even get Ragnaros essence in the Thunderfury quest.
***** considering what you say, you must also hear that "we" do not actually exist within the timeline itself, WE are never apart of the story... and we never will... World of Warcraft is a glorified "movie/book/thing" the once who took down the Firelands and Molten Core is not "us".
Hold on, so what do the elemental lords do? We've killed half of them now, and no ill effects have taken place. But the titans didn't kill them because they knew that it would mess up Azaroths elements, so instead they imprisoned them in Deepholm. Now we've killed two, and nothing has happened at all. So, really, they don't have a purpose.
Hey Nobbel, what is the building that Deathwing summoned Ragnaros bye? Has that structure always been in Hyjal? If so, what did it used to be? If DW made it for Rag, who are his contractors because I want to make quick additions to my house?
Sulfuron Spire was created by Ragnaros. Salfurion Spire is definitely an anomaly, just look at Hyjal from the Battle for Mount Hyjal. Ragnaros "contractors" would be Druid of the Flame with their leader Majordomo Staghelm. What bizarre and counterintuitive questions.
All of this background lore explained in the beginning, just to set up for ragnaros, its amazing, its also a real shame how much credit shadowlands is giving to the jailor. Cuhz im sure somehow hes had in all of this too no? Or is this story safe from the cannon chains of shadowlands
Kam Freewind um no only MC is going to get a 40 man LFR versions and none of the old instances are going away and you can solo up to lich king even cata if you know what your doing
If neptulon is the elemental lord of water, couldnt the old god beneath the sea corrupt him? Or the same old god that corrupted deathwing could corrupt therazane?
As a total beginner wanting to play wow classic when it comes out. Is this the best playlist to start on? Or should I follow another playlist first? Thanks!
Someone explain to me lore wise why Ragnoros and the dark irons never fought the old horde during the first and second wars but when vanilla came around there's a bunch of dwarves and a firelord pissed off that orcs have set up camp in half of their mountain!
Ooh! That is a good idea. I did do grinding for netherwing drakes. I also grinded for talbukes. I was so boring that I started to listen to UA-cam videos on the side. I did get netherwing drake mounts and talbuk mounts eventually. It was worth it. It is in the BC Outland. Listening these videos would be great for WoW grinding.

+Olivier Straw Brilliant to hear, be welcome!
Pretty much my reason of watching these videos also lol
Exactly, I don't really want to play WoW, but I have always respected the rich lore of the series. I don't know if I've ever seen a series with more lore than this, and I really enjoy the way Nobbel presents them as well.
+Technoman how could you not want to play wow after learning about the lore? It's a wonderful game.
+PotatoTheQuick would love to play wow but since a lot of the game is in mmo form is it even possible to play old expansions?
"He who was ancient when this world was young"
this sentence is so epic and feels almost like a childhood memory to me, even if I was in my 20s back then :D
FOOLS! You allow this Loremaster to fill your head with my history!? Well, actually...no okay it's pretty good. TASTE THE FLAMES OF PART 2!
LOL i was reading it with Ragnaros voice.
XD this is nice one FB nice one :D
lol same here
I love these stories so much. I love how you mix book lore with game lore and with cinematics and images. That is pro storytelling. I prefer watching these rather than any stupid tv show any day.

Still remember the first time I ever saw rags pop up like that. Easily one of the most epic moments in my time playing this game.
"Puny mortal do you dare,
to bring your magic to my lair!
I sense the soul of Tarecgosa bound into your being.
Too soon! You have come unprepared!
to challenge me so laisezz-faire,
so now you'll face the wrath of fire deep beneath your skin!"
Every time I hear the name: Ragnaros.

[Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker]?!
Did someone say [Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker]?
+Chris Brillhart I think someone said [Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker]
Why, yes indeed, someone did say [Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker]!
I knew I heard [Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker]!
[Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker]!!!
Emo drake at the end always makes me laugh
DID YOU SAY THUNDERFURY, BLESSED BLADE OF THE WINDSEEKER?
do an episode about the loa, they are so mysterious
I could listen to Nobbel talk about anything, he could be talking about the intricacies of plumbing and I'd probably still listen to it.
Nobbel, I am so glad that you take your time and read about the lores and also enjoy doing so! You know for a fact that he is just gonna come back, that's how bad guys as badass as Ragnaross work.
Matthew Dougan Since the firelands was merely a setback
“The Titans went off to do whatever it is they’re doing right now. Being imprisoned....” he called it!
Having never played WOW, this series feels like a class in world cultures!

Yet another great lore video, Nobbel, you are wonderful.
ahhhh nostalgia. I remember playing WoW and watching these videos. I would be grinding for gear while leveling my knowledge
Dude, those dialog lines in the firelands are so corny, yet so awesome!
is there any such lore on Detheroc,Balnazzar, and Varimathras from warcraft 3 the frozen throne? would be interesting to learn more about them
Altijd geweldige video's man. Zelf ook een gigantische fan van de lore. Altijd tof op je videos te zien in mijn subbox!
Executus is pretty stupid.
Ragnaros be waken' up wrong time. He be like WHY DID YOU WAKE ME UP BITCHES. He be waken' up like 12:00am
BY FIRE BE PURGED Ragnaros is such a great and hot teacher that with a buring interest teaches ous about flames with such a warming kindness but also can sometimes get into such a heated moments that makes u melt he have lighted a fire in our hearts xD

Yeah I wish for things like AQ, even though they were a pain in the ass, I'd love to do it how it was meant to be.
Hey Nobbel. I pretty much only play this game because I love the story but theres so much I didnt know - thats why im watching all your vids. Thanks for all this awesome information.
Thanks for the lore video. This gives me a better understanding of WoW lore.
2:09 did somebody say [Thunderflurry, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker]?!
I remember anything Nobbel says yet nothing my teachers say good job bro!
6:58 Still have my Eternal Quintessence! I love your work :) Thank you :)
Are you going to do movies about the other elemental lords :D I would be intensley happy if you did?
omg yeees hope he does
I really like ur channel, it really needs many effort to acquire those history
Has anyone noticed his name is one letter away from Ragnarok? Maybe that's why he's so destructive. He's named for destruction itself.
Has anyone NOT noticed that?
It's not like he's named after ragnarok or anything.
I really enjoy every video that you make :) Keep up the good work, man :)
10:18 Did somebody say Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker?
You saved my night!
So many A Song of Ice and Fire references!!!!!! Someone got inspiration from someone.
I got a question... how did the wind elemental have a son? did he split from him or was their a she elemental?
YAY Ragnaros finnaly!
Yes yes another great video nobbel cant wait to see part 2 :)
BY FIRE BE PURGED!!!
- Hello everyone. =3
best part
I feel like they need to make the ending raids more quest-lore filled like the original raids
I like this.
Nefarian and Ragnaros are both at war with each other, but one thing they agree on is that we gotta die.
Like, what did people do?
its just to many of us (like ants)
I really need a Lore Video on the location "Seradane" in the Hinterlands ASAP PLEASE
Is there lore of Lil' Ragnaros? :P thanks nobbel! en blijf door gaan.

LOVE YOUR WORK NOBBEL87!!! :D
OMG no, this is wrong, Ranarosh is a legendany card from Hearthone, omg this game copied Hearthtone.
Hearthstone is based of of World of warcraft (this game) and both hearthstone and WoW are made by the same people. And its RAGNAROS Not Ranarosh. Learn to spell and trying to be clever.
ShardingDiamond off of*/it's*/stop*
ShardingDiamond Come on man, don't take him seriously.
You troll..and like your own comment?...Sigh* now that's just sad next time try to be more original
Mateus Froes Who liked his own commen...? Oh no, I've been dupped into admitting I trolled! You sir are a genius.
one of my favorite characters from og wow.
You should tell what the lore behind the spirit healers are.
I was expecting Nobbel to make a reference to trade chart when me mentioned Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker
The annoying thing is the retcon related to the elementals in general. Unlike other RPGs they are NOT from an elemental plane originally. As you said it was created to imprison them. Nobbel, you are awesome :D
Where can I learn more about the lore of war of three hammers(dwarven civilian war) and its connection to Ragnaros? Is it in one of the books?
Had no idea, I got started playing WoW from a friend. Did not know much about the lore
At 1:09 , why is that in between Ragnaros and the Princess?
most likely a evil general of therazane
athune? frost dude
Did somebody say [thunderfury, blessed blade of the windseeker]
Make a video about the Mograine family :D
Happyfunrun that’s kind of what the ashbringer videos are
Thaurissan had to be frickin' powerful in his own right, in order to single.handheldy summon ragnaros mm?
I want to know how Rag got actually weaker from Vanilla to Cata because it used to take 40 people to beat him then it only took 10(or 25)
Well, we did get stronger :P
I was joking lol
nerfed C: lol
***** considering what you say, you must also hear that "we" do not actually exist within the timeline itself, WE are never apart of the story... and we never will...
World of Warcraft is a glorified "movie/book/thing" the once who took down the Firelands and Molten Core is not "us".
In the Firelands, Ragnaros wasn't at his full strength, either.
by fire be purged
is that like ragnaros way of saying hello?
luckygozer Actually, yes. That is what he says every time he's played in Hearthstone.
Did somebody say Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Wind-seeker?!
They are basically very powerful beings who can control the elements. They have no sway over the natural flow of the laments though.
Can you do stories about other elemental lords?
Could you give us some links to the artwork you showed? There was one of Nefarian in particular that I hadn't seen before, and found interesting.
Hey Nobbel, what is the building that Deathwing summoned Ragnaros bye? Has that structure always been in Hyjal? If so, what did it used to be? If DW made it for Rag, who are his contractors because I want to make quick additions to my house?

@10:20 DID SOMEONE SAY [Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker]?!?!
Did the voice of rangaros voice the overmind from starcraft aswell? they sound similar
Did somebody say [Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker]?
All of this background lore explained in the beginning, just to set up for ragnaros, its amazing, its also a real shame how much credit shadowlands is giving to the jailor. Cuhz im sure somehow hes had in all of this too no? Or is this story safe from the cannon chains of shadowlands
After the burning of Teldrassil, I can see Druids of the Flame returning... what do you think?
We have no prof we killed him. In Cata we killed him and he just sunk back into the lava. Dosent mean he is dead
You actually did kill him in Heroic mode i believe....
If you completed it On heroin some demigods World comeback and pullerter him JP.
Heroic🌝🌝🌝🌝🌚🌚🌚
oh I remember this boss, and Onixya too
So can a level 90 go up against Ragnaros and the other classic Vanilla Raid bosses solo, or have they been beefed up since the last decade?
You can solo up til November, during the 10th anniversary, where we get them revamped for us 90s! Or 100s, considerings its November, maybe both.
Kam Freewind
I read that the lvl 60 won't be disappearing.
Kam Freewind um no only MC is going to get a 40 man LFR versions and none of the old instances are going away and you can solo up to lich king even cata if you know what your doing
Nobbel can you make a lore about blackhand just asking
still by far the most popular boss ever
Did someone said...Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker?? 10:20
If neptulon is the elemental lord of water, couldnt the old god beneath the sea corrupt him? Or the same old god that corrupted deathwing could corrupt therazane?
But why would they? They were already controlled/enslaved and they served the old gods. Corrupting them seems unnecessary
As a total beginner wanting to play wow classic when it comes out. Is this the best playlist to start on? Or should I follow another playlist first?
Thanks!
wait what did you say at 10:19 ? i dont think i heard you right.
Het Nobbel cant u do a lore video about cenarius ?
He already did
Matt W can i have the link please? :)
I swear to god the entire lore of WoW was written by 5 year old starting every sentence with "and then"
Always found the voice acting on that green dragon in Hyjal to be hilarious. So dramatic.
Nobbel. This is a question for you. Wich elemental lord do you find coolest?. for me it is al'akir.
Morphling , Enigma , Shadow Fiend
In a WoW Picture at battle.net beta app says this: But is it really the end for garrosh, cant you talk about that sometime?
Aronus - Worst Voice Job Ever
Someone explain to me lore wise why Ragnoros and the dark irons never fought the old horde during the first and second wars but when vanilla came around there's a bunch of dwarves and a firelord pissed off that orcs have set up camp in half of their mountain!
Nobbel87 - Perfect thing to listen to while grinding in WoW! (:
I think Blizzard will go into the Titans more in depth in a future expansion. Thoughts? I know we have covered some already in WotLK, but seems to me that there are a lot more that blizzard can get into.
Yeah what about the old God under the sea
Pitviper2014 8oopblpo8k8.,,

The only reason that the old gods lost was because they don't exactly get along well with each other so they fell one by one to the titans but if they worked together then the result could have been very different.
OMG he's got [Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker]
Can you do The Story of Al'akir?
u dont have a full lore video of cataclysm or deathwing by chance??
