Manchester is a great city, all the benefits of London without the housing nightmare.
This is what I keep hearing!
Word up!
Shhhh - we don't need more people finding out
I have been a southerner stuck up north . It is hard to get back home .
Well bloody said 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿❤❤❤
I think if you are considering it, that’s a sign that you should look further into the pros and cons….don’t underestimate the use of a good ole pro/con list….London is where you started but it’s not the only place to where you can bloom!!!
I don’t know if I could ever really leave London but we’ll see! 😆💕
God bless for this comment ❤❤❤❤❤❤
I’m a Londoner but spent 6 years studying and having the time of my life in Manchester. It’s the only city I say I would live in other than London!
Hell, I don't even live in England and that guy has me considering moving to Manchester! I'm sold! 😂😂😂
I love it 🤣
That couple seems cool as hell.
Do they have social media?
just found your channel and have been binge watching all your london and UK vlogs. THANK YOU FOR DOCUMENTING IT ALL! its been a dream of mine to move to London, and i think running across your channel is definitely a sign to start saving and make a move!! please never stop vlogging ❤️❤️
this makes me so happy, thank you!! 😊💕
I'm so happy that you are blessed to be surrounded by such good people! Love your videos and all that you have accomplished- keep going girl!! :)
Thank you soo much for the love! ❤️
That man is the perfect salesman, what an amazing encounter!
😊😊
Yesss I LOVE this 💕
I personally had to extend my trip when I visited Manchester because it was such a vibe ✨
I've been to Manchester a few times and really liked it.
It's a big city but nothing like London, the centre is quite quite compact.
Of course with the rain you saw, you seem to have caught Manchester on a good weather day ;o)
Manchester gets about 150 days a year where it rains vs just over 100 in London and the total amount of rainfall is about double in Manchester
But umbrellas are cheap and there's plenty to do inside.
Wow!!
Omg you should 100% move to Manchester. I'm a proud Mancunian and it is such a great city to live in xx
I really like it there!
That Manchester couple were soooo sweet
Out of all the cities you've visited recently (Liverpool, Birmingham), Manchester by far is my favorite - it just has certain vibe to it. It was good also to see Slyviee(sp) uni classmate and gf - he gave plenty of history and other significant stories about Manchester, especially the apt/flat pricing. Hey, did you attend any of the African activities that was going on in the city? As always thanks so much for taking us (fans) along with u during your city-to-city tour of England.
Manny can't compete with London for activities as London's the capitol & about 4 times the size but it's a close second UK wise but if you did relocate you could still make regular commutes to London (2hrs by train) and book a hotel if needed and it would still work out much cheaper.
Fun fact for y'all: Rev. Jessie Jackson was very impressed with Manchester. He also made this great quote about Manny: " London may be the capital of the UK, but Manchester is its soul".
You're not wrong, Jessie!
I have family in Manchester. Manchester reminds me of Baltimore/Philly especially downtown. Its quiet and reminds me of suburban Maryland town. I am glad you are exploring England. I love England!
I used to say the same. It has a vibe and yet you have space to be still.
Downtown Brooklyn the gentrification areas looks similar to Manchester.. I would visit or the countryside of the U.K..
Talking about prices - I rented a two double bedroom apartment, two bathrooms, separate kitchen, living area large enough for 2 sofas and a dining table to sit 6 people…oh and I had a garage and a balcony with water views. Price, £875 per month - I eventually ended up buying the flat from the landlord when he decided to sell it.
I can't wait to be living in Manchester UK next month 🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤
Saying hi from Seattle! Such a great vlog, thanks for sharing. I visited England (mostly London) back in 2004. Me and my bestie so want to visit Manchester. Looks like an amazing and interesting city to learn about and enjoy spending time in.
I love Manchester can't wait to go back!
Same!!
Love how willing people are to be on your channel especially when theyre so insightful
I really appreciate it as well!!
Girl all that for under $1200 month!!! I'm currently scoping out 2 bedrooms for $4k/month in Boston!! I might move to Manchester lol!!
😆😆😆
Sounds like a plan.
Ha! My life too Sis. Got to the point, I had to move North of Boston...ugh!
@@PaigeMariah it looks like London is doing a night time forest walk off of the Harry Potter named the : Forbidden Forest Experience 😁 when it comes out officially please consider doing a vlog 🥰
Rental in the city all over is always more expensive! I understand how & why many folks here in U.S are opting to live in RVs!! No rent, utilities etc.. I think having children can be more difficult to do so.. Rent & some mortgages are too high period! Salaries low!!
I love Manchester, it checks so many boxes. Post Covid it will be back to all its glory.
I’m actually moving to Manchester from the US and this video has got me even more excited now to move 🤣
Good luck. If you wanna see what Manchester is really like check out Charles veitch or Fritz media on YT
Manchester Caribbean Carnival is a vibe too.
When exactly is this?
@@momonaturale Its in August. But due to covid it wont be on again until 2022.
@@SoFrolushes 😔 ok I'll definitely be apart of it next year.
Lol don’t set these people up for disappointment. Manchester carnival is probably one of the worst. Manchester City centre is fun, but once you get into the residential areas there isn’t much going on,
@@momonaturale There are some websites that list Caribbean Carnivals around the UK. Hopefully they will update 2022 season
I think you would love Manchester. It's a very fun city with loads of indie businesses and creative people. Then there's the nightlife, which is always good. Perhaps try it for six months when your lease runs out. Renting there is so much easier than in London, so you can be a little more spontaneous as there's greater availability of flats.
Thanks for this!!
I'm so jelous that it's raining over there. I love the cold and rain but here (in Israel, hi :)) it's constantly hot and dry. I wish I could visit the UK again but Covid is a bummer
Wow! Hopefully you can visit again sooner than later
Ok, Minneapolis to Manchester, that guy is convincing me to move there. Those two were so friendly! Also, love Manchester, only been there once, but when I'm home in the UK next, we're going!
Haha love it!
I'm trying to move to the UK! Manchester is Lit!
Ayeeee
I live near Manchester. You said some Very nice things about us. Thank you very much!!
I absolutely love this video...it's official Manchester will be my graduation gift to myself!! ❤❤
I'll be moving to Sheffield, South Yorkshire from Minneapolis, MN and Manchester is about an hour away from where my fiancé and I will live, re-thinking moving to Manchester! Haha love your videos, it is getting me excited about my move!
Haha I love it! Good luck with your move 😊
You should reconsider, especially coming from America. Sheffield can't compare to Manchester (Manchester is MUCH better for everything!!).. and this is coming from soneone who lives in Sheffield!
The only caveat is that the North West of the U.K. which includes Manchester and Liverpool has the jet stream nearby most of the year so it has much more rain and cloudy skies than the South East of England ( London).
I'm really liking Manchester and Liverpool. I've done my time living in Los Angeles and Manhattan and it was fun back in my youth. A Manchester or Liverpool offers a balance to life. You can enjoy the fun activities including great shopping but at the same time purchase a nice large affordable house. I call that winning. And the UK is small not like America that requires substantial travel time to visit a place like London or Manhattan type place.
Very nice video.
Paige can we start a poll of what next city do we want Paige and crew to visit? Lol
I'm voting for either Brighton or Edinburgh Scotland.
Love it! I’m actually on my way back from Brighton right now 😉
@@PaigeMariah Awesome.
Ok, I live in Las Vegas and I want to study at this school in Ealing. But watching this I'm now sold to move to Manchester right after! Also your friends are the sweetest!!
Thames valley uni
I'm Manchester born and bred. May I just say that you just seem to drift through life like a dream. Beautiful.
Haha aww thank you! 😅
Great video. Manchester is an amazing city and a creative powerhouse. Glad you had a good time 😀
Thanks so much 😊
Manny is a vibeee
Now the weather is lush you should do St Ives 😍
I’ll add it to my list!!
Definitely a place to consider!
Thanks again for sharing, I am enjoying them all. Bring back memories. Jealous wish I back I there **waiting for the pandemic to end to visit🖤💚💛
Selfishly, an additional year in London vlog then a year in an "open" Manchester vlog would be subscribers 🔥. Plus, thinking of all that savings$ you could reinvest in your businesses and RothIRA/IRA and 😁
Ooooh I like the way you think lol
Looks like alot of fun. A energetic city. I like it.
I grew up near Manchester! Fun city.
Loved it!
I loveee your vids keep living your best life Paige !!!
Yayyy thank you!!
I like hustle and bustle… it’s like a car in the driveway even if you’re not going anywhere!
Great video Paige, where you choose to live will be your choice, we can only hope it's right choice good luck !!!!👍
Thanks for watching Mary!
Afflecks was a diamond in the ruff awesome place
Why do I feel convinced to move to Manchester instead of London 😫 he really needs commission! This entire serious has really opened my eyes to what's outside of London! Can't wait for the Brighton video!
I'm so glad you visited Manchester. I'm from London and love Manchester. Such a cool vibe
I love your positive attitude and yes I can see you living in Manchester. 😀
Just watched this video again. There is something very attractive about the UK mid size cities. Not too big but they offer more than enough options that you would find similar in a huge city. But being less busy the mid size city has less the stress and offer much better buying opportunities for homes. And to be honest I wouldn't even mind the shorter shopping hours in mid size cities. I would simply start out earlier. Because that's exactly how it works in American mid size large cities like Dallas. The only super late nite shopping malls in America are Orlando Florida and that's because we're the outlet mall central of America. We go until 11pm.
Manchester looks like a winner. I might have to check it out this year.
I love Manchester planning to move there too
I used to work on Deansgate
If You’re Happy Then I’m Happy 😊.
Bloody hell , I was staff at your Manchester accommodation for a long time . If walls could talk....
i think i will like Manchester more than London, London is too spread out and i dont like that, i like cities that has everything within short distance like hamburg or oslo
You guys like shopping but never went to the Trafford Centre…..I think you would have loved it.
Oh wow, next time!
Definitely not worth going. It’s a bog standard shopping centre
@@timelord5920 You're definitely wrong! It's one of the best malls in your UK. But to each his/her own.
Word! And it's the second biggest mall in the UK. You guys will indeed love it! 🍺👍
The music out of Manchester is fantastic. Check out Children Of Zeus from Manchester UK. Also from London, Emmavie. The music coming out of the UK is game changer.
Manchester sounds like my type of city. Quaint yet thriving! However, I don't know if it's your vibe?!? Tfs
Quaint? 😲 I certainly wouldn't call Manchester quaint. Are you sure you're not thinking of Oxford or Cambridge?! 😂
Definitely not quaint
Quaint 😆 you having a laugh?
Yes you should!
The greatest city on earth, yeah I said it 🙂
Do it Paige!! ❤️
😆😆
Wow, a lot of Brits say American portions are large but those portions were massive!
If you’re referring to Home Sweet Home, I think it may have been American inspired 🤣
Being English really love ❤️ American
I live in Manchester!!!!
Alan McGee isn't from Manchester and nor did he sign the Stone Roses.
I'm moving here from London next month!❤
Great vlog! You need to come back again you missed so much, fright island, hatch, spinningfields and salford quays are a must visit next time your back!! FYI fright island is best in the evening
I’ll definitely be back! I tried to make a reservation at Freight Island but they were all booked up 😓
@@PaigeMariah aww gutted for you! Make sure to book there ahead when traveling back, check out 20 stories to! Lovely cocktail on Manchester’s tallest rooftop bar
Shopping and good food .Nothing better than that
🙌🏼
Manchester is a a nice City.
It is!
I like the Manchester accent
Me too!
I’m a proud Mancunian … born and bred …. I’m so glad that you liked our city … in fact it’s 2 cities together as the city of Salford is just across the river Irwell … so 2 cities for the price of one …. 👍
Oh Yess… you must move to Manchester!! That guy needs to be a
the spokesperson for this place… He sold me😝
😆😆 Love it!
Hi Paige, my son lives there and goes to Uni !
Nice!!
I’m 19 & American but have dreams to move to the UK. Going in august to explore over there for the first time!
Paige, I'm not worried about whether you move to Manchester because I think you just FINALIZED my plans chile......LOL This whole vid made me Pout with jealousy again!!!!!
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Canal Street is known as the gay quarter- more known for night life. Manchester also famous for music- The Stone Roses, Oasis, Happy Mondays, The Smiths, New Order etc,
Thanks for this info!
And the R&B group Cleopatra (Nice vlog Paige)
@@hophip236 not sure that’s something Manchester would want to boast about though 😂
Paige (through you) I like "Mannie"I haven't seen everywhere there but what you have shared I vote YES.
😊😊
Yes so you can be called up to be on Love Island and show these producers how things should be done...nah all jokes aside the choice is yours.
🤣🤣🤣
Polish mathematicians cracked the Enigma code. Marian Rejewski, Henryk Zygalski and Jerzy Różycki, learn the proper history cause I think you've learned that from Hollywierd movies
Huh
Just had to say "Mochi" is very much a Japanese thing. To answer Silvia's question.
I'm from Manchester born and bred and lived and worked in London for a year, and let's just say i'll never do it again.... Girllll move here!!
I love that your pants give me a Chick-Fil- A vibe..
You should deffo move to manc!!!
Manchester nightlife is epic.
Most of my friends came back bisexual 😂😂
Love to hear it!
is there any cities in usa thats simular vibe to birmingham, manny, liverpool.
Chicago and Seattle to name two.
Manc the best sociable people similar to Lisboa should of tried Chicken Run takeaway african Carribean next time
Good vlog im from London the girl in the red top was annoying lol brash.. the other 2 girls were nice more laid back.. move there i say in the summer try a few months!
I’m a mancunian. Loved this vlog. Really glad you enjoyed this city. It is great place to live. Afflecks palace is so cool I get all my piercings there. Hope you visit the city again soon, next time you are here you must take a trip to the Trafford Centre. It’s a huge indoor shopping mall with shops, food places and other cool stuff I think you would like it.
Thanks for the recommendation!
Nice girls trip
amazing
Uhhh yeeessss!!!
I have lived here for a while now and the worst thing is that it's tiny compared to London and dead after 6pm
I can't believe in a sunny summer weekend day everything is closed after 4pm lol
It's like a village
The only advantage is peak District at your door step , city itself is boring and full of scullies .
Sense of fashion is pretty bad compared to people in London
People in Manchester have no class
Closed after 4pm? It must have been a Sunday then, all shops close at 4pm on a Sunday, all the restaurants are open though!
Nightclubs are open, Manc all my life.
Ha ha ha 6:41
Birmingham over Manchester anytime and all the time
nah
Cool video, Manchester is good for a few years but it ain't London. Lovely people and an fantastic culture there though.
But why would you want Manchester to be like London? It doesn't need to be like London. There's a whole lot more to the UK than just London, London and London!!!
Getting smashed in Manchester, yawll
yasss hope u enjoyed Manchester just dont visit the shitehole that is stockport xx
Nothing wrong with stockport fam..
@@HolyFreakinDragonSlayer everything is
shame you visted during the pandemic ..next time you need to see the night life
No because you won't understand anyone
Lol I could learn
@@PaigeMariah it's weird tho, to learn a language you already know😁
