- Part 3: Reverse engineering of the Fujifilm PMT26A PMT module that contains the photomultiplier tube, high voltage power supply and analog amplifier from a Fujifilm PCR Eleva S / CR-IR 357 x-ray image scanner / digitizer. Also known as Computerized Radiography (CR), it fulfills the job of scanning a x-ray exposed image plate with a laser beam and extract each pixel illumination with a photomultiplier tube setup.

The shield is also for magnetic fields, which would deflect the electrons - possibly made of Mu metal
Yes, the Agfa PMT was stated to have a mu metal shield.
great video thank!! scintillation is pronounced without the c by the way. sintillation
I got it wrong a few times as well ;) Scinlation and properly with too many LLs somewhere :)
doing really good for a second language. a lot of native english speakers wouldn't be able to pronounce it properly. @@KaizerPowerElectronicsDk
oooo such a pretty coating on a super cool tube :3 and ive been doing the hugi? hygge? drinkin coffee while messin with electronics ever since i started XD now i know its a tradition thingy! lol
Hygge :) Hygge translates to all kinds cozy, nice, having a good time, enjoying, be it social or alone. Hygge is a safe place.
@@KaizerPowerElectronicsDk interesting :3, I approve!
Very cool!
Superb!
So that tube is only around 100uA photocathode sensitivity?
What would happen if you viewed the cintilation glass through a night vision tube with 500-3000uA sensitivity, would you see the light flashes in real time?
In my own experience, night vision has a certain lag and properly takes a lot longer to saturate the phosphor screen. I did however find a article when searching for your idea, that BIC make a alpha radiation goggle from night vision and scintillation material. But it would only show "green blobs".
Thank you greate video again.
Do you think optical transmission characteristics could be better If chrome plating on aclilic light guide surface?
That is far off from what I know about. I can not help you there :)
это гармонникааа!!!! поэтому такой завал
