    I’m using prickly pear oil by Nurse Jamie called Desert Rose. It has Damascena Rose Oil in it. I mix 7ish drops of Defractured coconut oil with 2 drops of the Desert oil and that’s my moisturizer ( my skin hates Cetyl or ceteryl alcohol which is in most moisturizers). That being said, Yes to ingredient videos. I would also like to hear about ingredients to avoid and why.
    Thanks

    I loved this video!! I mixed my own facial oil. It has Avacado oil, rosehip, carrot, squalane and sea buckthorn oil. I was thinking if adding prickly pear the next time. I am 52, dry skin with a lot of sun damage. If you think I am missing something else please tell me.

    • @TheOrganicEsthetician

      jeevitha rajan Yes. For really dry skin, you might want to layer it with a moisturizer but you’ll see a difference in your skin either way.

    Freshly pressed prickly pear oil is the thing. The best thing I ever put on my face. Thanks to my Moroccan friend who brought it, but once I run out of it maybe just buy a brand one. 😢

    I’m so happy that I found your channel-absolutely love! I have dry dehydrated mature skin. Question: I broke out in a rash using cacay oil; in your opinion, do you think I would have the same results using the prickly pear seed oil? Love from Las Vegas ❤️❤️❤️

    • @TheOrganicEsthetician
      @TheOrganicEsthetician  5 років тому +1

      Frances DeMoss hmmm it’s really hard to tell without seeing your skin. Was the rash immediately after application? Or days after?Cacay oil is naturally rich in retinols . Do you have any sensitivity to vitamin A? Was it 100% pure organic cacay or were there added ingredients. I’ve never seen a rash caused by prickly pear. I actually use it to help reduce inflammation in my skin. So maybe you wouldn’t have the same problems but everyone is different. It’s so hard to say.

    • @francesd5547
      @francesd5547 5 років тому

      The Organic Esthetician thanks for responding Katie.I broke out on my neck and décolletage within 48 to 72 hours. I only used it at night. The name is Cacay Naturals 100% oil and purchased it on Amazon. I’ve been on prescription trentinoin 1% for a little over 1-1/2. About 6 months ago, I switched to Curology (.14% trentinoin; 5% azelaic acid; and 4% niacinamide). Hope this helps.❤️❤️❤️

    • @TheOrganicEsthetician
      @TheOrganicEsthetician  5 років тому

      Frances DeMoss hmm... well it seems you definitely had a reaction to that oil. It’s not organic... maybe it’s been synthesized in such a way that it irritated you? It’s also possible it reacted negatively with the other product you’re using. I always suggest when using facial oils to get organic cold pressed oils. This way you don’t have to worry about any synthetic ingredients. I still have yet to hear of anyone breaking out from prickly pear seed oil. It might be worth a try. Also, if you’re feeling dry, back off of the Retinol and acids. They’re amazing for resurfacing and promoting cell turn over, but that specific blend isn’t very helpful for hydration. Also, adding in Hyaluronic Acid (a hydrating humectant) might help as well.

    Do you believe there's a difference in terms of results and benefits between the Carter & Jane and Ecla, or Arade?? Thanks.

    • @TheOrganicEsthetician
      @TheOrganicEsthetician  5 років тому +1

      LAD SQUAD Because they all use Moroccan sourced organic PPSO, I think they’ll be very similar. However, Carter and Jane’s includes the A3 concentrate which will enhance the PPSO effects while imparting added skin benefits. Therefore, I think it’s a better option. It’s also in opaque glass to preserve the oil so it’ll keep longer. Price per ounce these products are the same. Carter and Jane offers a larger size, hence the higher price point. I’m obviously partial to The Everything Oil but I think this all makes a very good case for Carter and Jane’s. Plus, Susan and Sarah are the sweetest most wonderful woman! 🤗

    What are your thoughts on Cacay Oil?

    • @TheOrganicEsthetician
      @TheOrganicEsthetician  6 років тому +3

      Damaris Rodriguez I haven’t tried it yet. It looks awesome. It has a similar linoleic acid content to PPSO. It also has some Oleic acid but I’m having trouble finding the exact percentage. It’s super high in Vitamin A, more so than rose hip seed oil. But PPSO still beats it in Vitamin E content, over 100% more. So these two oils could actually be complimentary depending on your skin type and concerns.

      Dangerous, irritating, unhygienic and unnecessary. There are SO many natural products and exercises, (face yoga, face rolling, etc), that can give wonderful results! Be kind to yourself and your skin! 😉

    I have a little psoriasis On my face and premature wrinkles could it help me? Will it be okay for psoriasis?

    • @TheOrganicEsthetician
      @TheOrganicEsthetician  4 роки тому +2

      Yes, it should actually help! I’d also look into rose hip and evening primrose oils both great for promoting the barrier function of the skin.

    • @amyalexahub
      @amyalexahub 4 роки тому

      The Organic Esthetician I have been using rosehip oil for the last 4/5 months it okay for my skin in general but it does nothing for the wrinkles or patches of psoriasis. I’ll look into primrose and prickly pear.

      @@amyalexahubmine is greatly improved by: washing with Cetaphil *Daily* Facial Cleanser, (NOT the other Cetaphil cleaners), followed by rosewater and witch hazel mixture, (easy to make), then *100% Pure Aloe Vera Gel, then carrier oils of your choice with lavender EO. Green tea seems to help too! Let me know if you have any questions and if it helps! 😊
