Man, that trailer is too cool. The amount of work they put in it is clearly evident. So awesome. Makes me think some of the crazy things I think of are possible too!
Ok...best interview/show. I admire the heck outta Rick Schmidt, he's preservation dedicated. Rick rocks! But this guy..holy fat boys Robin! lol Thank you MCC team. You made my Saturday morning. Keep on truckin.
I am telling myself that he used a car that was too far gone to be restored into a safe/running studebaker, and rather than see it crushed, turned it into a trailer. It was either trailer, barbecue, or furniture. Trailer won. Perhaps before becoming a trailer, it was a parts car for the car that's pulling it.
So a vehicle made in 1951 is not a classic because it was customized to a owner's preference? So by simply changing out, say, a gear shifting knob for a billiard ball automatically voids its "classic" status? But a sad, bone stock, unrestored car from 1994, IS a classic car, according to state registration laws, simply because it was never once modified in any way? So all those mustangs and camaros with 6 cylinder VINs are also not classics because the owners swapped in a v8 at some point within those 50+ years aren't classics either? What about customization ordered by a dealer? Any vehicle prepped for racing back in the day? There are concourse, survivors, customs, restomods, hot rods, etc... ...all of which are still "classics." Now then, kit cars, and continuation cars, that's the only argument you have there.

Both of these cars are SPEC-TAC-ULAR! I especially love the Studebaker.
the studebaker put spec on its plate, tac on trailer plate and ular on bike plate
The Stude convertible is too sweet
Dream car that Woody. ...so nice.

Why do previous episodes get re posted? Would love to see more new stuff. Either way love MCC.
Nice neighborhood...
the bike and the trailer are crass...lol
Nice
Unhook the boat I'll take the woody :D
Somebody show that man how to keep swirl marks out of the paint.
Why is the steering wheel on the boat on the right if it was made in America
Cuz all boats in america steer on the right
He used an actual Studebaker for the trailer, not a reproduction? urgh

These are NOT Classics. These are Customs... Any sort of modifications changes the classifications of Classic to Custom.
