What did he need redemption for....he was a bit over protective of his sister. Honestly the book explained him so much better. In the book he had an irrational fear that he would die young like his father. That's why he rejected love.
Oh. Anthony is still looking at Kate like she is the only one in the world. He had that smile at the end. This is what I love to see.

I caught onto that too. Jonathon is such a great actor that his face just subtly showed how desperate he silently was to figure out what was wrong with Francesca but I think his experiences from his season taught him that people just need to figure it out on their own sometimes and not let their families or society pressure them.
It may also have to do with why she needs a moment alone. Although they’re definitely not following the book series that well, so I’m not sure where Francesca is “at” right now.
@@jamkamen My guess for this season is we're going to see all the events that happen before Francesca's book. In the books I don't think we see Francesca's season or first marriage, so I think that we'll see that this season, because I believe they implied that she was the diamond her first season into the marriage season.

@atlantisundiscovered his character arc has been solid. From struggling with his feelings because of his duty, then ultimately choosing love and having it turned down. Then, he has self-imposed distain for love, takes it out of the equation and focus on his duty being shattered when he has to come to grips with his feelings for Kate. Finally, accepting true love is real and placing it above all else. Chefs kiss!

@@mycollegeshirt Because, IMHO, Season 2 has been the best love story so far and Anthony and Kate have become the most popular characters in the show. Season 2 didn't need to rely on plenty of nudity and sex and was more interested in building up real sexual tension and emotion through conversation, stolen looks and glances, a lot of the dancing and touching involved, etc.
I love seeing naked chicks as much as the next guy but at the end of Season 2, I enjoyed the fact that the show was able to keep me hooked without much in the way of sex or nudity at least until the last two episodes.
Yes, I quite agree that season one was way too sexual and season two was able to keep you interested without all that nudity. However, I cannot wait to see Penelope’s story!

Thank you for this comment! I was looking for something about the fashion behind that veil because it seemed so uniquely Bridgeton and no other married lady of the ton has worn that before. Now it could very well be that Kate wore it and showed it to Violet. Violet saw how beautiful that is and took it up too.

This small clip says soo much about the character development, in such tiny but important ways. Violets reaction to her son's happiness...overjoyed that he's happy, but maybe a hint of loneliness for herself? Penelope changed her dress/wardrobe and still no one noticed her. And of course, Anthony learning better how to grant the women in his family the freedom/space they need ❤
And here I am, waiting for Kanthony again. My fave couple and story without question. Everything about them was flawless in season 2. The perfectly delivered lines, the eye contact, the tension. The build up from fights and teasing, to the agony of an impossible love, to the ecstasy of finally allowing themselves to feel. And nothing would have been the same without the insane chemistry. It was all about connection and longing. The best slow burn imho. Now I'm waiting for joy and playful moments. They deserve that and we need it. ❤️

This is the kind of couple that I would never be bored to see without any drama whatsoever. They are beautiful, exciting and their chemistry is just breathtaking still.
I'm still mad over their "more drama" changes and choices over their book, but the actors are such a match for our Kanthony!
Yeah, I know Shondaland is known for their over the top drama shows, so we shouldn't be surprised they dialled up the drama. The show is still good, but it takes away from the beautiful love stories of the books, like Polin's slow-burn friends to lovers story (which is still my favourite book). And making Kate and Edwina fight over the same guy in the show?! Instead of having Kanthony's bickering turn into learning about each other and then Anthony's PTSD about his father's death leading to him sucking bee "venom" out of her chest only to be happened upon by his mother and Mrs. Featherington and them having to get married (Kanthony's book is my second favourite)...
I hope the show leads people to read the books, so their actual stories get to shine, but still a good TV show with happy endings.
@@CarinaCoffeeKanthony's book is my favorite. They literally ruined everything good about it. They put Kate in an unwinnable position, where whatever she does is perceived badly. There's not a single thing she could have done in the series that wouldn't hurt someone. In the book though, Edwina is pretty smart and never ever attempts to win Anthony. And sees right through him and his obsession over Kate. This was one of the best books about struggles after marriage, not before. Their story was that much better because of it. I was so excited to see season 2 and I was extremely disappointed. I don't even have high hopes for season 3 anymore. And come on, if anything, season 2 should've been that much hornier due to Anthony but no, they made it boring with physical scenes. He was so good in season 1 with that and they had to ruin this too.
@@olgabahirkina1286 yeah, not only did they make Edwina look like a naive little girl, they made Penelope look like a jealous bitch in season 1 with that Miss Thompson storyline.
I feel like their changes end up not empowering the women in these stories which is really sad to be honest.
Im sorry, the book was so bad compared to the show. Anthony had horrid anger issues that never got called out. The enemies to lover trope/slow burn was gone by the climax. Kate was resistant in the book but here she actually was his equal from start to now. The love triangle was messy, but still more interesting than the book in which while yes Edwina knew Anthony wanted Kate, she still would have married him had he asked whereas here, she stood her ground. And not to mention the Bee Scene was done WAY better here than the book. Bridgerton S2 is miles ahead of the book and the lack of sex scenes just emphasizes the slow burn the book tried to be. @@olgabahirkina1286
Simone’s new style as Viscountess makes her even more dreamy😍. She’s glowing and the mix of Kate’s new family colors and the ones of her personal inheritance, is incredible. Anyway, happiness suits them both, that’s what they deserve. Now I want to see her belly and them as parents along with their married life as a couple💍👨👩👧👦❤️.

i think with kate, her dress is meant to have more indian influences which is why it looks different from the rest. now that she can afford to have alterations like that done.
Agreed, it does represent an Indian dress especially with the lightweight scarf on her hands and the dress has a similar neckline to many Indian dresses.

They are the heads of the family, they have a fundamental and indispensable role and therefore cannot be replaced, nor can a plausible explanation be given to their absence. And moreover Simone and Jonny said several times that they want to be there for all the sibilings and will always be there as Viscount and Viscountess.

I think I could cry over just this scene alone. Kate and Anthony absolutely captivated me. That little kiss at the end just breathed in at least 5 years into my life. We saw Francesca which I have been anticipating for ages. Anthony having developed this much makes me want to tear up. PENELOPE IN THAT BREATHTAKING GREEN. Even Violet had a certain essence about her in this scene that made me wish I could see more of her.
