They made such a big deal about the age difference in the movie, but I just kept thinking about how close to the same age they looked. Millennial 40 is not the same as past generations.
@@pmata814 what's so funny, when it comes to romantic comedies/dramas/action movies Anne Hathaway and Julia Robers are one of the best acresses alongside Sandra bullock - and you were the one quoting notting hill
In the gallery scene, I love the expressive hands in pockets that tell Hayes's story, especially when he is offered water or coffee and that little push away that says - "don't want to talk to you, just to her - go away." The subtlety of Galitzine's acting is just delicious and so detailed.
I remember being 8 when I first saw the film Ella Enchanted with my older sister and I saw Anne for the first time, she was my 8 year old celebrity crush. I don’t care how old she gets, Anne Hathaway will always be beautiful to me!!!
I am watching this movie as I am getting older, and it's even more relevant! It's true that she is actually ashamed of being with him. That's not fair, but it sounds accurate by today's standards, and she's lucky to be financially independent. Otherwise, it would be worse. I like that the movie ends on what's possible despite the age gap.
he is supposed to be "the hottest guy in the hottest band in the world" as per described on prime xD uhhhh yeah sure... sounds like this band is reeeeally epic 😄
I wish I’d never read this book, it absolutely broke my heart, so I hope they’ve changed the ending 😢. On a random note, Hayes Campbell has floppy blond hair in the book so this version doesn’t seem right to me.
FR. I listened to the audiobook and it was EVERYTHING!! The ending made me sad that she had to choose. Men don’t have too. Hate that double standard S#!+…
They said they changed the ending a little but from my understanding. I saw an interview where they said they changed it so the they were given more closure but still kept the essence of the authors ending. So I'm assuming they still break up but probably not as abrupt and cold she does in the books
@@leahmuniz530 i still cried cus they still went through the rough patches that they went through in the book 🧍♀️ but yea the movie gave me some sort of closure that the book didnt
I find it hilarious these people, including the actors, talking about older men and younger women and older women and younger men and that this idea is a "breakout" or something similar... Its a solid movie but no breakout bc there is no real point to make .... ever since Mrs Robinson, released in 1971 i.e., over 50 years ago... there have been constant iterations and claims of asymmetry. Look guys, its not new, its not radical its just a movie about something nice that happens less frequently than the mirror cases - and thats mainly due to biology and not society.
Women shame men for their unrealistic "manic pixie dream girl" trope movies. Well, we're going to volley that right back at you for this one. The chances of a love story like this are about 1 in 100,000 🤣
I love how Anne is at a point in her career where she can say, “yeah, I’ll take that handsome guy as my love interest.” 😂😂😍😍😍
Anne 💄 makes her 👩🦳 👉 point
And who wouldn't?
Anna ages like white wine. Insanely pretty.
Makeup - surgery
@@dallionaire8947 yeah! Make up and all expensive treatments but she has great genetic.
She's pretty

She's only 41. I don't understand how people think 40 year olds should look lol

Gen X looks even younger. 40 is a cusp age.
Millennials look old for their age. Definitely GenX looked younger, not sure why
In that first scene i thought he was gonna say “i am just a boy, standing in front of a girl…” 😂
Anne surely is one of the few people who can get as much under your skin as Julia does

LOVE THAT MOVIE
he is SO good looking so HOT and that VOICE
He's so pretty.
Anne hathaway is geogrous
Im actually so excited for this to come out
“You’re hot or whatever” 😂 It's the kind of superficial, substanceless thing you say in your 20s. Very accurate.
Just saying this film was wholesome and was A+ Fan fiction
The idea of you is such an amazing movie

Princess Mia meet Prince Henry 😀
So excited for the movie ❤❤
I first saw Nicolas in high strung. Good looking people in that movie.
Какой он красивый...
I signed up for Prime video just to watch this after seeing the trailer
Was that the start of “Paper Bag”!!!
At this point I'm way tooooo hyped!!!!!
Good thing this didn’t come out when I was younger, it would’ve fed my delusions of one day getting noticed my celeb crush 😅

He sure loves a pinky ring lol
Can’t wait ❤
Unlikely...but after "Colossal" I'll pretty much watch anything she's in.
I loved this movie❤️
Duh, HOThaway
Really good movie
He is so hot

Anne Hathaway is Mrs Robinson now...ok. Kinda makes me feel old.
Is this a Nothing Hill remake?
Now.
Is a fanfic of Harry Styles
No

Wow… just…
Yeah, I'll take 'Love Stories that will Never Happen in Real Life' for $500, Alex. This film should come with coupons for cat litter and wine.
But it DOES happen. The life is the relationship may not be long, though.
Umm, Harry Styles…
She a Demi Moore of her time she probably could get a toy boy if she wanted to
Since when she isn’t hot
puke

Let us volley _this_ right back then: the care factor is *ZERO* 😁.
What a ridiculously shitty movie 💩😅
Anne is too old to play this part.
At 41, she's actually the perfect age - the character in the book is turning 40. ☺
What rubbish
The age gap is the entire point of the book/movie. And she is only a year older than the book character.
I hope you’re joking 🙃 otherwise this is the most ignorant comment you could’ve posted. 🤦🏼♀️
Wtf. I've only seen the trailer and she seems the perfect age to be playing a mother of someone who would be obsessed with some young pop star lol.
Did Priyanka chopra copy this woman or did this woman copy someone else?? 😁😁
