Awesome video, big thing to note between them is the miller will do up to 3/8 aluminum with spoolgun but the lincoln will only do up to 3/16 with spoolgun. Just found this out when i was looking at getting the lincoln for doing aluminum welding.
Miller/Hobart has a better spool gun available. The SR 100 and the SR150 are both much better than the magnum 100 ..Lincoln makes better spool guns but they cost thousands of ddollars. You can use a 150 amp Tweco gun with this machine and its basically equivalent to the Spool runner.
After one year with my Lincoln 215MPi, all I can say is that I am very happy. My prior welder was a 210 and there were a few things I did not like, luckily, I sold it for more than I paid for! LOL!!!
I got the Miller 215 in 2018. It's an awesome little box. No regrets, but if this Lincoln would have been on the market back then, it would have been a lot tougher choice.
Very good comparison, but, that background noise brought down the quality of the video. Still very informative and I appreciate your time, thank you sir.
Locally, the Lincoln warranty isn’t something that I can use easily. Which is a big deal. The screen went out on my Lincoln and now I’m without a welder. The Miller I can take to the local welding supply and they will fix it in town, the Lincoln they send off to another state. You might want to check if they can do local repairs on either brand. Otherwise you will be weeks without a machine.
Great video. Thanks for posting.I own Lincolns, Millers,ESAB and a Fronius welding machine. What I do notice with my Lincoln 210MP is with that drive roll system you have to keep it clean.Junk builds up in those wire grooves and actually causes wire feeding problems. One thing I found out that makes it stay cleaner is running those Weld Aid clamp on wire cleaners.
Andrew, is time for me to call Steve and get another Lincoln! I still have My SP135 & SP175 along with the other 7 Lincoln MiG’s, TiG’s & Plasma’s. Would be a Great Addition! Thanks for another Great Review!
Really liked your Red vs Blue comparison video. I went in almost locked on Miller and now leaning to Lincoln. I do have one question. How do the grounding clamps compare? The mig guns appeared quite different in size and quality. Thank you.
Great videos but you guys need a mic mounted on your shirt or something because I can barely hear what the host is saying with all the workshop noises.
Yes, it does take the 11lb spool. In the video when the side door is open on the Miller, the large spool adapter is sitting there in the tray below the 2lb spool.
I wish there were more affordable welders of this size from real welder manufacturers. It’s frustrating as a hobbyist to be forced to decide between a reputable brand at $2k, or some silly brand with even sillier names, like Arccaptain or Yes weld. I mean really? “Yes” weld? Could you have a less serious name for your company? I would be embarrassed to own such a product. But the real brands like Lincoln and Miller are four times the price. It’s too bad they don’t do like Snap On does with the Blue Point line. Have a sub-brand that is made by a real welding machine company, but is priced for the hobbyist. Most of us don’t need a machine that can handle hours of welding five days a week, or has special processes or cutting edge features. We just need a quality product with some of the good automatic settings, nice display, and solid build, but at a hobbyist/homeowner price. And not all of us want a product from a company that only started making welding machines five minutes ago, and sound like they were named by a kindergartener.
We hear you the prices have really increased over the last few years. There are some really great rebates and promos running. If you email us with your budget, we can try to help you find a brand name reliable welder within that range.
Miller doesn't need anything to help with bird nesting cause the users are smart enough to set the tensioner tight enough to feed the wire but loose enough to slip if you bind the wire
just did some research and everlast blows these two away.they give you a better warranty and include things these two don't including tig torch and foot pedal and duty cycle is better.
I learned on a Lincoln and own a Miller 215. Both are really good welders.
Mines like brand new barley been used, fan comes on but the screen is dead and no wire feed very disappointed😢
Good comparison.... after doing the settings comparison I would have shut off the units so that we could hear you better over the fan

What was those few things with the 210 ??? because i got one
Cheap dude !

I'm always a Lincoln person although I've used a lot of Millers in my time all my personal welders are Lincolns
Very good comparison, but, that background noise brought down the quality of the video. Still very informative and I appreciate your time, thank you sir.

Thanks for watching! We will let Steve know to expect a call or email :) We are happy to help!
How is that fan in person? Is it as loud as it is in the video?
You can adjust the voltage and wire speed without going into manual cv on the Lincoln.
Yes
Posso adquirir está máquina de salda como eu posso comprar ela
I have the Lincolns 210 mp, good solid welder.
Is this 120v?
Really liked your Red vs Blue comparison video. I went in almost locked on Miller and now leaning to Lincoln. I do have one question. How do the grounding clamps compare? The mig guns appeared quite different in size and quality. Thank you.
The Lincoln one is probably a bit nicer but honestly comparable. We have some Black Friday deals on both! Reach out and we can help!
Can either one of them be run on a generator?
Yes sir I run my own a champion 7850 runs like a charm doesn’t miss a beat
What sort of welding do you use the 215 for ?
Would either be good for welding structural or pipe ?
Can the Lincoln only run 2lb spools? If so how often do you have to change them out
The optional spoolgun holds a 2lb roll. Inside the welder itself it holds a 10lb roll.
will ether and/or both of these accept 10 pound wire spools ? or just the smaller wire spools ?
Both will and come with adapters. He mentions this briefly near the beginning of the video.
how many fans does miller have? Two like Lincoln?
Great videos but you guys need a mic mounted on your shirt or something because I can barely hear what the host is saying with all the workshop noises.
Will an 11lb spool fit on the Miller? That is a big deal that you sort of skipped over.
Yes, it does take the 11lb spool. In the video when the side door is open on the Miller, the large spool adapter is sitting there in the tray below the 2lb spool.
Quanto custa está máquina de salda
Always good videos 🇺🇸

Have you looked at the Vulcan 220 by harbor freight? 1/3 the price and decent reviews.
what version of everlast machine would be comparable to these two? Also how would these match up to hobarts 200 multi?
I think the Lincoln would be the better choice for me and at $1,999 and a $400 visa gift card right now it brings it down to $1,600 smackerz ...
the fan would drive me nuts ,,, it ruined your video ...
I will just buy an ewm I think
Miller doesn't need anything to help with bird nesting cause the users are smart enough to set the tensioner tight enough to feed the wire but loose enough to slip if you bind the wire
Had a spoolgun, got rid of it. Too big and clumsy
la mejor opción miller , compre la linconl 215 una basura
Puedes ser más específico? Qué fue lo que no funcionó bien?
Ole Blue is gunna have to step up their game.
