    I wonder why Lincoln can’t figure out the fan on demand like Miller has? I have their TIG 200 and 6 years later I still haven’t gotten used to it. That said, I’d still take the Lincoln 211 over the Miller for the simple fact that you can dial in exact parameters. Good for Lincoln to recognize that entry level welder doesn’t mean you dont want precision adjustments. If for no other reason other than to be able to ask your favorite IG welder what his settings are Bro. 👍🏻😂

    I'm glad that I bought the last generation of Millermatic 211 before they went to inverter technology. What these manufacturers are pushing nowadays are throwaways at higher prices than the old tried and true transformer equipment.

      They’re making more capable machines than ever before. More likely to fail or have issues? Sure, maybe. But they offer far more than machines did 10-20 years ago. That’s a good thing and a simple fact.

    I personally like the Digital display on the Lincoln seems a little more modern.
    And most welders in this category have it these days, American or Chinese.
    But I think Miller is coming out with new Models this year with Digital display.

  •  12 днів тому

    I like all the fancy stuff but most welders never look at setting. Most welders dial in a rough setting and test weld and then we just bump the wire speed of voltage nob a bit and the fancy digital we would not look at and would just bump it. Stay away form welders with button adjustments as its a pain in the ass to not just bump a knob.

    Alright going back n forth for days in new buy from you guys online and now I came across Lincoln units push gun for aluminum and wondered how it would stack compared to 30a spool gun . I’m looking for a good mig , I have a good stick welder and my buddy gave me a Lincoln flux core which blew my mind on an exhaust pipe project for my box truck now I just need one of the best (Mig) available . What would you compare to the 252 millermatic HO with 30A spool gun ? Aluminum is going to be a must in this new purchase .

    This is a great video. I'm about to start teaching myself to weld and am in the market for a new Mig. Been on the fence between Lincoln, Miller and Hobart. As the owner of a smaller manufacturing company, I love that Millers are still made in the USA. However with the Bidenconomy being what it is, the Millermatic 211 is a tough sell at almost double the price of the Lincoln 211i. Keep the great videos coming. Thank you!

    It appears to me, that you sir, are very biased towards the Miller. What you’re stating that Lincoln is new to the 211 market, is just a thinly veiled attempt to draw an uninformed consumer away from how much better the Lincoln is equipped than the Miller. Not to mention that Lincoln has already sold a gazillion 210MP’s over the past 8-10 years. It appears to me that the 211i is almost identical to the 210MP with the exception that it is not multi-process and is rated at 10% MORE duty cycle. Lastly, Lincoln’s customer service is second to none!

      @@BakersGas They have great customer service. I loaned mine to a friend who tried using it on a tiny 110V drop cord, besides resetting the breaker 20 time he kept using it and it knocked a board out in the power supply on the low current side. It would run on 220 just fine but not 110v. I called them up... they told me what they thought it was and said I can send it to them or they can send me a part. I was on the phone maybe 5 minutes and they answered my first call and sent me to the tech department. I got the part in 3 days and it was fixed perfect never had another issue. Point is I could by 3 green machines for one blue or red of equal size. The repair was super easy. Every board in them are plug and play. year warranty too. I have used mine a bunch and if not for stupidity from my friend it would never ever went down. I also broke the plastic dust cover that goes over the controls on the face of the machine do to my own stupidity of leaving it open and swinging a piece of iron into it. I emailed them to buy a replacement the next day I got a reply one was on the way. No charge. So say what you want the truth is they have great customer service!!!!!!!!! I have owned both Lincoln and Miller in the past and I have welded professionally and used more machines than I can count. I love my green Everlast. I am retired hobby welder now but I use it a lot and I have no doubt it would handle production welding.
      So keep laughing and I will keep the extra thousands I saved. I do realize you are a dealer of red and blue too.

    It’s just not worth spending the money when these Chinese manufacturers have stepped up there game. I bought my Lincoln 210mp 6 years ago for 1000 after rebate. I sold it for 1900 few weeks ago. Bought 2 machines everlast and new multi from ahp. Way happier to have separate 250amp water cooled ac/dc tig machine and multi mig when I need it. The ahp is just as nice as the 210mp.

      The challenge is finding parts and service support for those machines. They are priced really low but no support in the event you need it. (The benefits of buying Lincoln or Miller is that there are a ton of centers and support)

    • @georgef1176
      @georgef1176 Рік тому

      I have not broke yet but that was definitely a worry I had. But everlast has great support now. They have came a long way. They even said they ship me the parts if I wanted to fix it myself. Ahp is everlast brand as well. I have definitely herd stories of people shipping machines to get warranty work and they are gone for 6months back few years ago. I will say I never broke my Lincoln 210mp either.

      @@georgef1176 Considering how modular everything is these days, DIY repair makes a lot of sense. I don't mind saving the company money by installing parts myself with their guidance, if it saves a ton of time on shipping, depot service, etc. I've also heard some horror stories about Miller keeping machines for three months, though I think some of that was related to the supply chain issues of the pandemic. Reading UA-cam comments, while sorting out the ones that are fanboy propaganda, BS or just angry attack, is a big learning experience for me as I decide on buying a welder. The real learning to me is in the comments. Shoot me bad grammar and bad spelling, and I'll ignore you. Stupid implies stupid. If someone doesn't even care enough to make their corrections in their comments, frequently resulting in unreadable, they are worth being ignored. Besides, it's just plain rude not to edit your comments. Rant mode off.

      Be fair, that would've been better as a phone call or email. Frequently, problems like that are unrelated to any sort of virus, etc. I hope Baker did respond quickly to the first report though, best way to stop rumors, etc. And by the way, I bought my first PC in 1984, and a few years later, Norton Utilities totally crashed one of my disks, which they begrudgingly admitted was their fault. Not the most trustworthy program on the planet. And by the way, it took them two weeks of expensive, non-toll free, phone calls to get around to that.
