Ran this last night funnily enough before i saw this video. I agree with your assessment, its not a loadout I'd use often. The main problem ammo and lack of follow up shots. Having said that i had some good rounds as it made me play very conservatively and cleverly.

Throwing axes kill an armored in one shot if you aim for the gut, not the head. Two for concertina armored.

Is the katana worse than the baseball bat, Calvary saber and machete bucuse it is a 2 slot and all the other options oneshot with a heavy swing, baseball bat can kill imulators and uses way less stamina
If we're talking about a purely about which weapon is more optimal for pvp, the saber probably wins over the katana. I just have a much easier time using the katana with martialist and have much more fun with it
