I have always liked the dream of red hands. It shows the anguish of a true, honest man who has done something horrible that can never be undone no matter how much one may want to. Like they say, it only takes a little hate to cause a man to die, but not all the love in the world can make that man live. And it shows the potential of nobility for even the meanest human. It’s very good, and speaks to a part of me. And your readings are, as ever, of the highest quality and enjoyability. Thank you for creating all these readings :)
My morning drive to the train to work is always in darkness. The umbral atmosphere with the occasional full moon or driving rain enhances the experience.
Much obliged Ian! ❤ There were several stories I had never encountered before, even though I am a voracious reader. As for the familiar tales, your excellent voice performances were far more enjoyable than merely reading printed words.
I cannot even begin to count how many times I have fallen asleep listening to the compilation videos. The dream cycle is actually very soothing but I do wake up real quick when the playlist jumps to the horror diaries (by far some of the scariest ones!)
luv luv luv luv luvvvvvvvvvvv the man in the tree. stands proud amongst these titans of horror. you are really so talented ian, and im so grateful we get to enjoy that fact 🩷🩷
Excellent, grotesque and macabre storytelling from my favorite furtive and festered UA-cam channel :3 Thanks HorrorBabble for the wonderful stuff, as always!
Same, there are some longer ones I've never heard the end of. Wonderful material for drifting off... and Ian gets the full watch time out of it, a bonus for him.
You're right, will keep you awake. I'm supposed to be going to sleep. I'm listening to horrible and I can't go to sleep because I don't want to miss something and if I do the next day. I replay the whole thing again. I can't win but I think you The horrorbabl People.
"A Dream of Red Hands" is melancholy to be sure, but in the end is quite uplifting. The man had done his penance in a Hell of his own making, and his chief tormentor, his personal Devil, was his own conscience. At last he redeemed himself by an act of self sacrifice, which wiped away the petty and selfish act of murder.
