- A short video of fitting the Thule Elite Van XT Black 2 bike carrier. I also had to remove the dealer decals as they were in the way preventing me from fixing the bottom bar. At the end of the video is a short demonstration of how the bikes load. All in all a good bike rack and the black colour matches the van.
Thank you! You didn't show how to make the most difficult purchase. How to attach the bars to the car. The final installation is easy.

That’s terrible Ginge. Take your own kit. I did when I went down and arranged it with the movers. That said I stored it in the iso at GIP. Take a kite down 💪😂

Hey Nick, how tall are you? I'm looking at one of these but it seemed a struggle for yourself and I'm only 5'6!
Same here 5’7 and i want to be able to put a bike cover on. I was wondering about the disadvantages of using the lowest position for the platform on the Thule - I also have an Adria on a Ducato. I note that all of the reviews seem to have gone for the middle position.
I’m 5’10 but you could buy the carriers at the lower level. I sometimes use a small folding step and that helps especially when putting a cover on.
I would think you could use the lower position without any problem. I use a folding plastic step now which makes it easier. Thanks for the comments.
Nick, great video, we decided to buy this rack for our Promaster in the states. Wondering what rear door windows you have fitted to your van?
Thanks for the comments. The windows were already fitted to the van and I believe they are made by dometic but not 100% sure.
Reaching out if anyone has fitted the led daylights like your as I have a set and it errors on the dash say check daytime running lights tried coding but as it’s a22 model a bit of a pain
Yeh not sure on that to be honest. I’ve just fitted some new bulls, Osram Night Breaker to make the headlights a bit brighter and whiter light. I will post a video soon but hope you get sorted with the error message!
Hai Nick, where did you buy the cable that ensures that the door cannot open further than 90 degrees?
Hi Janine, this was fitted to the vehicle from new so it was a fitment by Adria. The Ducato van from new does have a system though. Hope this helps
I really wanted to see the door brackets fitted....in particular what glue do you use? It's not clear from the instructions and no glue was supplied.
Hi thanks for the comments and sorry the vid didn’t show the fitting of the brackets. I was concentrating on getting it right and forgot the camera 🙈. The glue I used was sikaflex 252 that I got from Amazon. Hope this helps
@@nickharper6436 Hi Nick, this doesn't particularly help, as it sounds as though you're relying entirely on the Sika 252 to hold up the laden rack! From the video it looks like there are clamps of some kind that slot over each side of the door - can you confirm? Thanks!
Yes there is clamps at either end of the brackets that are screwed up snug but not too tight to buckle the door edges.

Thanks for the comments. The weight is 10.5 kg but not sure on the dimensions of the packing box to be honest. The max weight it will hold is 35kg with 2 bikes!
I watch this video to see how the brackets attach to the door and you never filmed it so to me it was worthless video
