Someone's trash is another person's treasure in the fragrance world it's all subjective
Factos
Boring or not it's the truth ..some people love from ford I personally can't stand his fragrances they smell cheap and nasty and too floral
I get compliments all the time with Light Blue Eau Intense. Probably more than anything else I use. Actually have another bottle in the mail. Some people might think it's "trash" or overhyped when they spray it on themselves, but the ladies certainly don't seem to think that...at all. Feel free to send me your bottles boys.
More for us! Let them hate. I have a another one in the mail as well 😂
Same thing here, agreed 100%
For me, it's similar to Terre d'Hermes but in a softer version.
Many people say that it smells like sulfur on their skin, what do u think about that? I would like to buy it but I have this fear
@@saulgoodmanandriese8658 Mine smells great! Fresh, light, clean and beautifully crafted. No sign of Sulphur smell whatsoever.
Nautica Voyage and Versace Man Eau Fraiche are two to keep for life. Not everyone likes the same stuff, and that's okay, that just means more for me.
Definitely agree! I have Versace Man Eau Fraiche and it's very mid for me. Too sharp. Case in point
Nautica voyage definitely a legendary fragrance 👌🏼
Allure Homme Sport has always been one of my favorites, and does get compliments. Do I wish it were a bit cheaper? Of course I do, but I'm not exactly buying a brand new bottle every 6 months or even every year, so it lasts a while.
u can get missoni wave, it's three times cheaper and basically the same thing, the chanel is obviously a bit higher quality but realistically u can't tell them apart in the air.
Get Versace pour homme smells very similar
@@klausiohannis167 they are not close to the same thing💀
One of most complimented! I even bought a 5 oz bottle from Chanel I love it so much. Just easy to wear in any situation within spring and summer
@@vidaljuarez6791 no longevity on it tho. Fades away after 4 or 5 hours with me. Allure Homme Sport is a solid 8 hours.
Ash,
Have you thought about doing a "best barbershop fragrance video"? I've seen several other fragrance reviewers do it on their channels but haven't seen it on yours yet. I would love to see your takes and opinions on the matter!
AGREED!
Agreed! My barber recently spritzed me after he was done and when I commented that it smelled nice and asked what it was, he just said “lavender”
incoming 20 minute video about drakkar noir
Light Blue Eau Intense I personally find boring. BUT….. I get more compliments on that one than any other summer fragrance that I own. So it’s always in my rotation
Not trolling but I find it smells like a wet dog. What ingredient could it be?
@@chillbeach7322 I don’t know. But I don’t where that one for myself. People seem to like it on me. I have a Great Dane…he really stinks when he’s wet. You made me laugh
Same here with Armaf Derby Clubhouse Blanche. Pulls insane compliments, but I find it boring and synthetic.
Does Light blue intense smells a bit sweet? Bc I like fresh and sweet fragrances
@@saulgoodmanandriese8658 , I’m not going to say that it’s sweet. It’s just super fresh and easy to like. I really only have one scent at the moment that I wear in the summer that I consider sweet. That’s Chanel Allure Edition Blanche. Typically I don’t like sweet scents in the heat.
Legend Spirit works best as either a bathroom freshener or insect/critter repellent. If you have critters in your bathroom, it’s a twofer.
This isn't a summer scent, but this one, for me, was Bentley for Men Intense. I saw that everyone online loved it. I blind bought, it smelled it, and I was shocked by how much I didn't like it. I got rid of it as fast as I could.
Same!
What!? I have seven of those, and some of them are absolutely amazing. Versace Pour Homme and Creed SMW? Madness!!! I absolutely love JV Artisan Pure too, I get a lot of compliments from that one. D&G K is whatever, but it's okay if it's super cheap or free.
Dolce & Gabbana light blue eau intense is descent with a slight artificial chemical smell. To many other blue frags that are much better.
I absolutely respect Artisan Pure. It's not my favourite fragrance of all time but it's the only fragrance that I'm going to buy a backup for it. It's not expensive, it smells somehow niche, it's completely inoffensive and the only downside to me is the average performance.
Very true... No taste or like is wrong when it comes to fragrances... Unless you don't like Drakkar Noir, then, you are wrong! Greetings Ash!!
literally every person i know
Love nautica voyage. Lasts all day for me and that price point can’t be beat $20 for 100ml bottle!!!
where do u get for 20 bucks ? i only see the ones for 60 and more
@@THBeatss I got mine at Burlington
by all day I am guessing that you sleep for 18 hours a day. What a lot of nonsense fella.🤣
@@THBeatss ebay lol
@@THBeatss I think I got it for $21 from fragrancenet a couple weeks ago
You nailed the impression of me right on the head there. Voice and all 🤣🤣
not a fan of voyage... that cucumber note I can't deal with.. not the worst blind buy since it's so cheap.
Versace Pour Homme is ok. Nice tee shirt in the summer frag. My wife on the other hand absolutely loves it.
Thanks!
That’s hilarious because at my local mall, there was an Abercrombie and Fitch literally right next to the Disney store 😭
Hmmmm...So, I do agree with Allure Homme Sport Eau Extrème being overpriced. I think it's a lovely scent and has performed well on my skin too (which I know some say it doesn't for them), but it definitely shouldn't cost as much as it does.
Light Blue Eau Intense is definitely an acquired taste, and for me I found it to be a situational wear. For example, I tend to wear it more in extremely high heat as it's got a refreshing appeal to it which I feel just cheers me up in the high heat. I definitely don't think there's anything wrong with wearing a fragrance to lift a mood. I also feel this works better with certain outfits too, like I tend to have this on when I'm wearing shorts and a t-shirt as I just think it works.
Silver Mountain Water absolutely shocked me. I personally believe it's one of Creed's most underrated fragrances. I love the smell and I get great performance out of it too. I do agree that it is better in more mild temperatures. I've rocked it in high Summer heat, warm-mild Spring heat and even Winter once and definitely felt it suited the more milder weather best.
One fragrance I'm not keen on is Sauvage...like all versions I've smelt, EDT, EDP and Elixr. I don't think it's bad but I definitely don't get the hype for it and I do feel it is HUGELY! overplayed now, I much rather prefer Y EDP as both a Summer and versatile wear. Somewhat controversial opinion but I stand by it.
Love the videos, Ash.
Bought light blue intense, really couldn't understand the hype behind it when I got it. It's ok, but there's a lot better fragrances for summer, for me at least.
Any suggestions? Need something for summer with long longevity
@@checkliste8930 Light blue intense is probably the strongest summer scent I have tried, great projection for at least 4-5 hours with ridiculous longevity, people around you will still easily it pick it up 12 hours past application
Me 2. I wanted it to b great especially cause the bottle and juice are aesthetically pleasing
Pacific Rock Moss by Goldfield & Banks is better in every sense, but costs double.
Light Blue Eau Intense is horribly synthetic. I hate it.
Nautica Voyage smells quite simplistic. It's worth it for the price though
I didn’t like it tbh
I didn't like it at first but it grew on me and I do like it alot now. I use it for work I work construction and it last all day
I prefer the n83 flanker or Nautica Voyage sport
@@pauljudah1235 smells cheap…an I made the mistake of wearing it to work…and got told I smell cheap….
I just picked up light blue at marshalls for $16, id say for that price you cant beat it.
tbf i agree with the versace pour homme i think it smells like playdough
I have to agree with Versace Pour Homme. That and Invictus Aqua (the newer one) just never did it for me despite all the hype. I don't really dislike either one but just thought they were generic and bland. I had a bottle of Versace Pour Homme and got bored with it and would use it to spray my bedroom and/or bathroom till it ran out. Never owned a full Invictus Aqua but got a sample after hearing various UA-camrs praise it but just didn't get the appeal. Never really got into the Allure Homme line aside from a sample here or there just cause there's too many flankers to keep up with lol.
Yes there's always personal preferences, but I think sometimes people just want compliments so these fragrances smell great in the air to other people in the high heat. A friend of mine says women at work love smelling Nautica Voyage on him, but Armaf CDNIM gets him mostly strong positive attention from other men which is not what he's going for and so he doesn't wear it very often anymore. I don't get the hype of D&G Light Blue Intense either but I have to realize I'm only experiencing it off my skin with my nose like within 2 inches which is not the experience others have of it off me.
Artisan Pure gets the most compliments for me, especially now. Spray on clothes and reapply once if you can’t smell it anymore
it is trashhhhhh
@@abububu5161 in your opinion bro
You shouldn't have to spray on clothes to get performance. I agree it's one of the best smelling summer frags but JV is also one of the worst performing fragrance houses on the planet and no doubt a massive reason why they went out of business.
My most complimented summer fragrance is light blue eau intense
How about the reversed story: fragrances that don’t get a lot of love that you like? I rarely read a positive review of Le Beau Le Parfum, yet it’s probably my favourite fragrance right now ✌️😁
Artisan Pure smells nice but only lasts 1-2 hours. Glad I got it for a cheap $22 because that's all it's worth. ✌🏾
I dnt like it but it last 7 hours on me.. I wish it was only 2
I like AP but I've found that Bvlgari Man Wood Neroli can scratch the same itch that Artisan Pure does & lasts a lot longer.
Channel Allure Homme Sport line smells nice but severely overpriced. If it didn't have that channel name across the bottle it would be a rack store cheapie. ✌🏾
Is there a clone available?🤔
@@DS-mo5db yes, its missoni wave, 1/3 price for almost the same scent.
Missoni wave smells better than it anyways
Tripping
@@DS-mo5db Versace pour homme is very similar and projects better, however it's not as smooth and doesn't have that perfect combo of sourness and sweetness.
Versace Man eau Fraiche is what D&G Light Blue pour homme should've been in a first place.
Honestly I've gotten far more compliments from nautica voyage than anything else, granted I wore it when I was younger and going out alot so was around more people, but I always got compliments even hours later, now I can go out in aventus or tobacco vanille and the most I hear is "is that you wearing the cologne " lol
I've got the worst "compliments" for that. Smells cheap. Can't stand it anymore myself either.
Mann nautica smells cheap….everytime I’ve wore it…I always get asked “is that nautica voyage”??? Lol…it smells cheap….
Silver Mountain Water is the best. Adore it.
I always got a compliment when i wore light blue intense but I wasn’t really hype on it
I‘m glad I‘m not the only one that doesn‘t understand the D&G Light Blue Hype! It‘s okaay in my opinion BUT the hype that it keeps receiving from fragrance youtubers is mind blowing to me. I always thought there‘s something wrong with me but it seems like a lot of people actually agree
I agree, i think it smells like a Toilet Air Freshener, really harsh chemical smell. I just don't get it at all!
I’m not a fan of the hype either. My buddy has a 100ml bottle and uses it during AZ summer months. It works well, I just don’t like it though. Too sweet for my taste.
I like the freshness of it as a sillage but I don't like it when directly smelling it from my skin. That's when I think that very chemical smell is really harsh
I like the mid and base notes not sure about the top
I like it but the longevity is a joke. The Sun flanker is the only one that lasts past 6 hours.
I agree with light blue uwu intense I hate the smell of it but it performs like a monster! I spray it like a mad man because I want to finish the bottle!
I get a lot of compliments with that fragrance.
Girls go UwU with the light blue
I like the smell but it perform terribly on me. Talking about 30 mins top
@@GFragrance3 All power to you I find it headache-inducing! I bought it blindly because someone said it is the smell of Ibiza...
@@foreverkingbiko yea for me its also performance issues.
I like the Versace for a easy casual reach for the summer. The starfruit note sets it apart and the dry down is nice with musk and woods.
It’s so cheap too, it’s regularly under half retail price here.
@@zeroyon4562 yeah, I got a 100ml tester for crazy cheap.
yeah, and I wore Allure. I wanted more impact with Chanel but I got sweet, dull.
I have noticed that they’re a lot of people in the cheapie section and clone section who will praise their cheap clone as being better than the so called overpriced original.
For me they’re trying to justify their buying choice, because the other side will question the quality and depth of their clones.
Allure Homme & Sport got me into the colognes again since i got rid of the entire collection right after my college graduation.
I actually prefer the original light blue. Eau Intense gives me a headache.
Yep the original is way better to my nose
Same here, just wore it the other night and got complemented by another gentleman that recognized it.
The most compliments I got in one day was with chanel allure homme sport.
VPH is timeless it's almost 20 years old and still doesn't smell outdated and Man Eau Fraiche is great too it's perfect for 90-100 degree days.
Allure Homme Sport is my signature scent lol. It may not work for everyone. All skin types are different.
It works but not strong.
I have to agree with Artisan Pure. It was like a chile pepper scent mixed with mall bathroom liquid soap 👎🏼
Light blue intense, is amazing, it’s the sun, salty sea, sand and the beach breeze all rolled up into a fragrance!
I don't want to smell like beach 🌴
Just ordered spice bomb extreme, encre noire, la yuqawam, mont blanc individual, lacoste blanc and ultra male to start off my collection, cant wait to get them in.
Azzaro chrome extreme or Versace pour homme is better than D&G light blue whole line
Interesting about D&G light blue & LB Intense. I have both and rarely reach for them . I have a decent size collection perhaps that’s why . What’s funny though is every time I’m at the fragrance counter , I try to get Mrs Fritz to like Light Blue for Woman , so I can steal it off her .
@2:57 I have a theory about that "disconnect": just the same way some people can smell Molecule 01, while some others cannot smell it at all, I think the exact same thing might happen with some other molecules, and in a negative way. It could be precisely the case for an ingredient in e.g. D&G Light Blue Eau Intense. Whoever CANNOT smell that X molecule in it, finds this fragrance fine and pleasant, even great. Whoever DOES smell that X, in spite of several smells and attempts over a number of years, the fragrance will end up not only unpleasant but even offputting. (Count me among the latter, btw)
Agreed. Synthetic aromachemicals in Light Blue Eau Intense are very harsh.
It’s Prada L’Homme for me. I think it smells like stale baby powder. I also can’t stand the more powdery Guerlains like L’Instant, Habit Rouge and Heritage.
Can’t stand powder smell in my fragrances. That’s why I gave away my Burberry Touch…and reviews that have powdery mentions I stay far away
Mens fragrances should be brisk sharp manly. Not like your grandmas bathroom
Allure homme sport was sublime when it first came out, the reformulation is a mess.
I have a 14 year old bottle of it that smells better than my new one
Legend Spirit is a nice scent...I think. It lasts all of about 15 minutes on my skin and is gone. I have used it 3 or 4 times and am glad I bought the small 1 Oz bottle because it is trash for me. I apply it and ot fades immediately.
Light blue intence and most of them are great for summer and spring
Started my fragrance journey 6 yrs ago and with Jeremy referrals, I first got the Encre Noir and Individuel. I then switched to Gents Scents which I have remained loyal to since. I have learned hyped is not the end of the rainbow. I have given away many referred scents because I literally hated them. Conclusion: Body chemistry is huge, as great on you doesn't mean great on me. Two favorites of mine you once suggested, Geir Ness and Xeyrus Rouge and these were not hyped at all. Preference, preference, preference, is an expensive lesson. Start out small and build up, not vice versa as I did, is the best advice I could give a newbie.
Totally agree, I've learned that I needed to isolate what type of scents that intrigue me the most instead of what the reviewer says. I've easily returned a handful of bottles due to hating whatever the YT reviewers recommend ✌🏾
@@tobyfarms - Out of the 150 or so hyped bottles I had, I have given away about 50 of them. I was a compliment seeker and that also has changed. I was wearing Gio Profumo and told by a female office worker "that stuff stinks", I was crushed until her next statement came, "my husband wears old spice, and I love it". I went from crushed to never wanting to leave the house again. I remember thinking, out of the thousands of dollars I've spent on fine fragrances, only to be outdone by a $10 bottle of old spice. I wear these scents now for me, and I could care less what others think. It's a real jungle out there.
I think light blue original is my favorite , italian love I haven’t check yet but the other flankers its just not for me… and a lot of comments said as well but the money you invest in light blue i think you can get a lot of other better options. But its really about personal preferences in the end . Dope video as always !
Went to a chanel store, and ive never been so let down as i was when i smelled allure homme sport and the extreme
That’s crazy! Allure Homme sport eau extrême is one of the top 3 fragrances I like in my collection.
@@TopGAli i was so excited for them, and loved everything i was hearing in reviews. Was pretty much crushed when the smell actually resulted in me having to wash it off my arm
Yes indeed. Was like nothing
I completely agree with your list. I'd like to know why Chanel fragrances are so overpriced ?
Obviously you pay for the brand. A lot more money for a bit better (they say) fragrance. Same for any luxury product, I guess.
It's the exclusiveness of Chanel and they are the only fragances that will not be a mistake. Very standard but never fails.
Versace Fresh and Pour Homme are what Nautica Voyage tries to be, but to me, but fails. Voyage also smells dated to me.
Missoni Wave for me. I don't get any aquatic notes. Just a cashmere bomb. So cloying, didn't change from opening to mid to dry down. Really disappointed. Was so hyped for it
I think its awesome
I have nautica voyage and I agree. It just smells like a cucumber. That's my issue with it
I love Chanel Bleu EDT and EDP. I just bought DIor Sport the clear bottle and I’m almost upset that it smells just like Chanel Bleu. The dry down has a very little difference but they could’ve been made by the same person
My wife hates Light Blue Eau Intense but loves Italian Love. Go figure. 🤷🏾♂️
Yes lightblue intense is generic en annoying for yourself to wear. But the sillage that people smell is great.
I bought Thierry Mugler A*Men a couple of years ago, the black rubber bottle with the blue star...
I regret that purchase to this day!
How about the “Metropolis” reference….I’m pickin up what you’re puttin down!
I generally agree with the list. I would add Baccarat Rouge, Versace Eros, Dior Sauvage, Layton and Elysium to the list as well.
What's wrong with Sauvage? As a standalone composition it's a top designer fragrance...
Great video! thank you for doing this!!!! So many overhyped fragrances.
K EDP gives me a headache. Light Blue Forever as well. I think it's the grapefruit note they use.
I will say this body chemistry is the key to how a fragrance will fit your body. Sample first.
Yup..Fierce or Legend, either time I smell them it reminds me of walking into the mall in my childhood.
Roja Dove Burlington 1819. I LOVE this scent. Highly recommend.
Nautica voyage is the cheapie G.O.A.T
Never has someone around me said it was a "chemical mess" loll
They all liked or loved it.
But how is the performance?
I've got the worst comments for it. Smells cheap. You get what you pay for..
To me voyage was really bad. I regret blind buying my bottle and I wont ever wear it. Thankfully it wasnt expensive
@@sasazivanovic777 lasr longer on clothes but refresh after 4 hours.
Gets me through my work shift.
Very nice aquatic for the price.
Gave out so many bottles cause people like it so much.
Voyage smells like $5 dollar store stuff . Ppl love it tho
JV Artisan Pure and Chanel AHS are anything but trash people, both are amazing fragrances. I own both and love them.
Sounds like you love trash fragrances 😉
@@BigGuadelope “Trash fragrances”? Why is that? 🤔
Cool that you like them. Other people don’t.
@@flightgravity7483 I agree 💯%, it’s SUBJECTIVE!!
I agree I love artisan so much it smells unique but great
Allure chanel not as much
Great video Ash. Every one is different, some love chocolate, some love strawberry or vanilla. Some love chevy, some love Ford, lol.
I just bought allure extreme sport and I had to return it to Sephora because it last maybe 3 hours
My summer fragrances are Sedley and Greenley from Parfums de Marly. I switch back and forth and love them both. I've been wanting to purchase Nautica Voyage as its only $25 but I don't even know what it smells like. Even though it's cheap, I don't know if I want to purchase it as I don't see myself using it when I love the PDM's so much. Do you guys think I should get it?
Nautica voyage has this green apple, and acquatic notes combined. Very fresh and clean with a slightly sweet touch of amber in the dry down. It's not going to smell natural like a PDM fragrance but for the price, you can't go wrong.
I seem to be in a very small minority of people who dont like voyage at all. Smells really sour and sweaty to me. If you wear high quality stuff I dont see any reason to buy this one as you'll never reach for it.
You will be disappointed if you are rocking out Sedley and Greenley which both smell amazing. Voyage to me smells very artificial comparatively.
I would like to see you do a top 7 Woody fragrances..
Dolce Gabbana light blue eau intense is great Fragrance, projection is bad.
Light blue intense Fr and Luna rossa ocean
Im a fedex driver out in Vegas where it reached 113 degrees today and i’ll tell ya Chanel fragrances are complete trash performance wise. I just tried a sample of the eau extreme sport edp and it lasted only 3 hours on my skin and gave off no projection or close/intimate smell after that just very faint hints of it remained and that also happened to me when I tried a sample of Bleu De Chanel PARFUM. Seems like my sweat washed it both of them off (even though they’re both higher in oil concentration). They’re most definitely office/indoor date night summer fragrances.
I agree. Summer here in Spain you can't perceive it.
I have never smelled invictus in anyone so it pry smells great, but on me I just do not like it or anything in the family. Dylan Blue smells great on others but bad in me. I’m sure it’s great though or it would never jab reached the heights it has.
On point about the Silver Mountain Water. Meant for spring imo
Cool video! I just love Invictus and everyone of my friends likes it, especially my gf. She just adores it .
Idk why people hate k.... I get compliments... one of my chick who never compliment me .. ask me what did I have on it's amazing
I could never get into Light Blue Eau Intense. I get this saturated glycerin note, similar to the smell of fragrance-free shampoo or bubble solution. This glycerin note intensifies over time, causing me to push away from wearing Eau Intense.
What I like about D&G LB Pour Homme Eau Intense is its longevity and projection, the smell doesnt tingle my nosehairs and literally perfect for the weather where I live.
Nautica Voyage is the cheapest smelling fragrance for me I don’t understand the hype of that one also with “Tonka Bean” based fragrances they’re all smell the same during dry down whether it’s Chanel-JPG-Versace etc.
In the same boat as you. LB Intense lasts forever and a day on me. Voyage smells cheap and generic. Seems people either love it or hate it.
Great list. Voyage smells like og Nautica and lacoste style in play had a daughter. The only one I really like from this is versace pour homme, but it's weak. If they came out with an EDP I'd blind buy for sure. Same with an ADG le parfum 🙏
Idk why but I can’t get into SMW. My scent sense might be effed up (can’t smell Molecule 01) & thats why, but it smells like pharmacy at a Walgreens or something to me
JV artisan Pure is one of my favorite to use in the gym, !!
I gotta admit that Versace Pour Homme was one of my first loves in fragrances but then having bought a 200ml bottle and proceeded to bathe in it I quickly went nose-blind to it and had to question why I owned it if I couldn't smell it.
There is a great fragrance there but if you can't smell it yourself then time to cut your losses.
This has been my experience. I like it at the beginning, but quickly wonder if it wears off.
Hi, great content thanks. Quick Q, I love Terre - Hermes. My wife doesn’t like it, anything you suggest instead?
Artisan pure disappointed me at first, a year ago. now I like it.
This guy is so sarcastic and it’s hillarious😂
K and voyage are monsters. Love them both. Hate all the light blues except love is love
I have 5 of those 🤣
-JV artisan pure is class, lasts a decent amount of time and is a more refined Jimmy Choo man Ice
-Silver mountain water (old broad shoulders bottle) is beast mode but yes, it's a love or hate one
-Nautica voyage is a chemical mess, fake cucumber water scent, and lasts forever on me unfortunately
-EAU Fraische starts off meh but the dry down is gorgeous, longevity is poor though
- Versace PH, great go to fragrance, longevity is abysmal on me though
So what fragrance would you guys recommend for this summer. I want one that you can party with/also go to a diner with. Idk what to get 😬
For diner wear AdG Parfum.
I can get behind the Varvatos Artisan Pure as i blind bought it cause Ashton and its powdery AF and smells awfull on my skin…Also put Azarro Chrome Aqua up there as it smells synthetic and pretty much awfull for a fresh fragrance…its hard to mess up fresh fragrances but those 2 managed somehow 🤷♂️
I love the Allure Homme Sport! Even more than Eau Extreme which everyone prefers over this one. I think they made a mistake by calling it "Sport" because people expect "Sport" fragrances to be cheap. Allure Sport has so many dimensions and a sophisticated fragrance. IMO Bleu De Chanel is way more overpriced for what it does, but no one complains about the price of that one.
Does allure Homme Sport last long?
@@checkliste8930 i dont thinks so,smells light and nice, but not long lasting
@@checkliste8930 performance isnt great but the quality and scent is worth its asking price
@@checkliste8930 It's relative, but I get 6-7 hours. little more on the cloths but i think it smells better on skin.
@@checkliste8930 It really does! The issue I have with it, is the dry down has a sweet danky tonka bean scent. I think some really like that, but it's the opening of Allure Homme Sport is where it is at.
Do you think performance is worse with discounter fragrances?
Legend spirit always reminded me of a bathroom
