I received one of these for Christmas. And a couple of years ago, I ended up with 5 Titans Return Scourges. So even though I missed the SS Scourge, I just use the SS Sweep as Scourge and the Titans Scourges as the sweeps on my shelf.
Same here man, I missed out on SS Scourge, so I bought this Sweep figure instead which I am calling my Scourge (plus the blue seems better than the original release which is nice). I only bought one Titans Return Scourge figure at the time so he's my only Sweep soldier lol. I am glad Hasbro is doing things to give fans a chance to buy popular figures that they missed out on (eg. like getting this Sweep figure as Scourge and releasing Cliffjumper in the Buzzworthy Bumblebee line). I'm just hoping they re-release that Netflix Soundwave somehow, cause I missed out on him bad 😥. Also those Coneheads, cause so many fans missed out on them due to poor distribution. Even EmGo hasn't even reviewed Thrust yet (which I suspect is because he himself wasn't even able to buy one).
I mean it makes reasonable sense to save money, as an alternative since I wasn't able to get the studio series version, I have three of the Titan returns scourge and I'm planning to basically do the same thing by just buying this guy and calling it a day
Same I have mania king galvatron and 2 of the generations scourge and I got this guy for my birthday so I'm using him as scourge and the generations scourge as sweeps
I like the look of the Sweeps vehicle mode, as I feel it's a Cybertronian mode. I want to see what they and Cyclonus would take for Earth vehicle modes :)
I love how Sweep isn't just a redeco of Scourge and they went a little further and remolded him a bit too. I also love the fact that he's a redeco, that they changed it up at all when they were under no obligation to do so given that Scourge has never looked any different in any way from any Sweep in any of the media they've appeared in.
Personally I'm not disappointed cause I missed out on the original Scourge, so I am using the Sweep as my Scourge instead, and I rather have Scourge with a neutral face lol.

I'm tempted to get this and use it as Scourge mainly because I like the colors better. Did you get a new camera or is my monitor just being extra crisp today? The video in this looks minty fresh. Also it occurs to me how many of the 86 movie characters are army builders: Sharkticons, Sweeps, Junkions...a contrast from how individual most S1-2 characters were.

I couldn't resist the urge to army-build, seeing as how I have nine Seekers and six Refraktors. Actually had these up on pre-order elsewhere when I saw that BBTS had them in, so I dropped that other pre-order and put in for them, and put them in my Pile of Loot for about a minute so I could ship the other stuff I had waiting there all at the same time. Should have them by Friday if all goes well. By the way, speaking of having too many of the same mold, I'm still surprised they didn't do a Sunstorm at all in the WFCT line. Also also, I just remembered that one BotCon set, and realized they did basically the same thing by having the Sweep be a lighter shade of blue than Scourge.
I find it odd that they bothered to paint the back of the smaller wings on this version. It’s quite a bit of paint and you only see it if you look at the back of bot mode or the bottom of alt mode. Scourge does not have that paint so it’s another difference between the two.
I ended buying him in a case with another Sweep and Wreck-gar now all I need is either another sweep or Cyclonus’ Armada to complete my heralds of Unicron.
I really want to army build... but I also don't want to spend $200+, because even though there's only 4 in the movie there's 6 by Season 3. The Duality of Wallet.
I got him myself and have him as my Scourge since the official named Scourge never made it where I lived I also feel it makes more sense for Scourge being Blue as he is a reformatted Thundercracker

I honestly would have preferred a different mustache sculpt like the Tranformers Legends toyline (Although not being show-accurate). Would've gave Sweep a hint of different personality.

If the kingdom Cyclonus was remolded to have articulated hands, have a darker shade of purple, and released in the 86 line, would you consider picking it up? I would. Not to take anything away from the kingdom Cyclonus, I love that figure.
Of course.The Kingdom Cyclonus is a great figure in terms of quality and aesthetics but articulated hands make every figure better.His color is off as well just as you mentioned.I think the Quietus KO figure looks identical to how he did in the 86 movie.
@@aaronallard7716 i wouldnt say dead on. Quietus is a way darker shade of purple to the g1 show colour. Cyclonus has always been a much lighter shade of purple then Galvatron. In some episodes he is almost light blue in colour. There is also the odd episode where he is darker purple but not as dark as Quietus is. Also Quietus head sculpt is to slender.

Am I the only one who thinks the Sweeps lighter colour is actually more cartoon accurate for Scourge than the darker paint he got. I rewatched the movie and the season three cartoon and Scourge is definitely lighter with an obvious contrast to his darker chest panel.
Dont worry. There was no difference but the name in the 86 movie. You can buy any and say its scourge or sweep, its so silly and hasbro is just making money out of this. They all have the same color in the movie and have no difference. By the way, the toy sweep is more accurate to him than scourge because underneath has the light blue color when closing the wings, just like in the movie. Every time he shows up in the intro, I positively marvel at how intact Mascot's ball joints still seem to be. I don't think any of my Stronius' red parts exist anymore. EDIT: Called him Minion.

Picked him up a couple weeks ago and he’s my scourge for the time being…then I proceeded to buy a cyclonus and galvatron.

the only problem with starting in robot mode is no spinning before transformation , maybe see if they can breakdance before transformation
