Now how we let non black companies come in and tell us what we need to do with our own hair I will never understand. I’m older and have lost hair from medication but other than that I have no issues... if I washed my hair twice a week or more I’d be bald for sure. Let alone not use conditioner ...chiiiiile 🤭😂
I remember my grandmother "greazing" my scalp every weekend and washing my hair every other week. And after that the hair was taken out the comb and burned. Lol These marketers have us believing grease is bad. Meaning we are becoming product junkies trying to find the right moisture balance, prevent hair breakage, stretch and elongation products. When our elders had it right all along. Shout out to Blue magic, Dax, Ahambi ( yall know yall remember the black lady with the long hair logo) and Sulphur 8 babies.
My mom used grease in my hair with a hot comb over the stove. And to cool it down she would wave it in the air...lol I guess that was my heat protection because my hair was long AF 🤣
Yes, the paper towel! It did serve as a heat protectant, just like oil keeps food from burning. We just have to wash it off regularly. It does no harm when used correctly.
Panda Sweet Rose , yes mam , royal crown , hot comb , and back then my hair only got washed once every other month, and it hung down my back, so these people need to stop it 🤔🤔🤔
All what you said is so true. She is breaking off her own hair. Before this nature hair community came out my mama use only grease on our hair. We had long beautiful hair until I got older and put relaxer in.
My hair was thin in spots I started using Blue Magic hair grease and my hair start thickening up there's nothing wrong with using hair grease you are right. I love your videos❤
I just watched that video. People just need the views. My hair has grown since going back to grease. We just used grease and water as kids but our hair still wasn't dry and broken off. We picked our afro's all the time without adding water but our fro's got bigger and bigger. I shampoo 2-3 times a week with a non-sulfate shampoo. Once a month I use one with sulfate and protein but follow with a moisturizing shampoo. My hair loves to be washed. Lol its ok to shampoo more than once a week, I've been doing it since relaxed and wasn't using grease then. Let me tell you, when I started, my hair started growing like never before. It was bouncy and moisturized. Now when I shampoo more, it sheds soooo much less. Its ok. LOL
I’m 42 and going right back to my roots and using Indian Hemp grease-the one with the bits in it too. We need to stop with the selective memory...we know good and well that’s how we had our hair done as kids🙄 it’s HOW and WHEN you apply the grease🤷🏽♀️
@NATsoHIGH !I used to hate Dax too but Dax vegetable oils pomade (the green one) is the only one that smell good.I put that on my scalp sometimes and blue magic super sure grow on my hair and i have seen amazing results. The green one smells sweet like a baby.
It’s mad that. We as black women grew up on grease and long healthy hair - went through trial and error when our Guardians let us hold the reigns ourselves- relaxed it, experimented with heat and or colour - went natural and grew it longer than we thought possible and somehow came to the conclusion grease is bad. Wish I hadn’t followed fashion on this one but I’m back on what I know and grew up using and grease is doing bits for my coloured hair more than oils ever could and did
I do what works for me. Everyone is different to each it’s own. Me personally I use a sulfate shampoo I don’t care if it strips my hair cuz I always deep condition which is the whole point of deep conditioning. I need to know my scalp is clean cuz for one I do go lengths without washing my hair. Grease works for me and thick oils. I wash my hair in hot water well as hot as my scalp will allow me. I will use un natural products if it works on my hair. Find what regime works for you and your hair. Thank you nezi for always keeping it real on your channel and for especially being a natural who steps out of the box and does what works for you and what can be unpopular with other naturals
Me too, I rediscovered how to shampoo my hair after the gentle massage and "Moisturising gentle shampoos" did absolutely nothing. I saw a hairdresser going at her clients scalp like a crazy woman... And I thought...mm, I tried it, my scalp was clean 😭 what I said was crazy was simply massaging with tips of fingers VERY vigorously. I strip my hair too, conditioner and grease is for remoisturising. Even my face doesn't like "moisturising" face cleansers, aka cleansers that leave the oil and some of the dirt on your face so they don't "strip" your face
Oh I’m a blue magic coconut oil hair grease queen! My hair loves grease. Now sometimes when I wash and deep condition my hair I might just use grease twist it up and leave out the door but the next day or 2 I’ll take the twisted bun out then I’m spraying aloe Vera juice and really get in my head and apply my leave in conditioner and re-seal it wit blue magic or a natural oil. That’s been most black womenfolk 😏😂 hair regimen from wow as far as I can remember back 70s Afros lol
Listening to you honestly saved my hair I'm back to using grease and I won't stop. Everybody regimen is different but grease has helped me retain length so I'm sticking with the greasy babies ❤
@@KEYSKORNER_OFFICIAL yes! Shes very ignorant! Shes literally cussing people out in the comments! I was shocked and it was case closed for me! Nezi hair tips have helped me tremendously!
Ever since I tried to do these 'natural regiment' for my hair, I started to lose my hair from the top and around the edge; not only that the front of my hair started to thin out. I just recently started to use Blue magic grease/oil, and Glover's medicated scalp ointment for my hair. I will grease my hair twice a week, massage the scalp and letting it get some air. I will shampoo/condition my hair every two weeks just so that the grease won't build up a lot. I also decided that I need to start cutting my ends again and put it in protective style this winter. I am hopeful that my hair will grow again and will be longer by springtime.
Sounds like she doesn’t know how to take care of her hair. I agree with you on every point. When I do my kids hair with grease it’s never dry. Some girls really don’t know how to wash hair, they never have enough product in it. And some don’t know how to comb hair, twist or braid either. I see a lot of girls need a class bad.
I have looked at her videos and her hair is thick and beautiful so what ever she is doing is working the for her. I have tried every shampoo from top shelf to bottom but let me tell you I would have never thought to use head and shoulders, but when I did IT was GREAT I will not use anything else.
I am so glad you made this video because I wrote a comment telling her that hair grease has never broken out or dried out my hair and she got offended and literally verbally attacked me with several responses. She called me dirty, fake, a liar and so on and so on. I am sixty plus years and was raised using grease.
Deborah Sparks Yes. I saw that exchange. You weren’t rude and she was condescending. The proof is in the pudding. Hopefully her regimen will work for her. Time will tell. But, I agree with you.
Deborah Sparks ..that heffa tried it with me..Hunni I went their (no cussing) told her “knowledge is power” and ignorance is bliss...🤦🏾♀️ she tried but I shut it down😂🤣😂
@@wassupg3037 I can't believe she gets mad just because people don't agree with what she posted on UA-cam, I thought that was the whole purpose to be able to share different opinions, she is truly not open to anyone but her own.
Yeah she don't like for you to disagree with her but truth is truth my hair loves hair grease my hair is long thick and healthy I don't wash my hair every two days I ain't white her hair is so dry and unhealthy if folks listen to her they hair will be broke #99 all the time
I am relaxed and I use grease as a sealant too. I stretch my relaxers for 5 months and follow a similar regime that you use. No breakage, in fact I got 6 inches of length my last stretch. Enjoyed your video.
Actually Blue Magic did break my hair off but that's just because one of these has Olive Oil in it and my hair hates it also Coconut oil. I don't know the ingredients of the other Blue Magic Products but i do love grease so i use vaseline instead. 👍👍
I just watched her video and read the comments and all I could do is smh. I agree with nezi her whole process/regimen is breaking her hair off please don't blame the grease. Grease is bae❤❤❤
@@wassupg3037 I know that's right cause I was thinking did she ever consider that her messed up regimen is causing her breakage??? Like Nezi said if she thought the grease was messing her up why would she continue to use it. I just don't know about some folks.
You need to really listen to her video and everybody hair is different but you can't deny her or her daughter's hairgrowth her hair is this lady length in less than 2yrs and her daughter's is past her butt so she does have some knowledge
@@constancewilliams760 Ok i watched the video and I listened to what she had to say and you're right everybody hair is different if it didn't work for her then fine she should've stopped using it. Every product works different for every hair type but like I said if it didn't work for her she should stop using it asap and don't blame the product for the issues she was having. It's a lot of women that use hair grease (me included) and hadn't experienced any issues whatsoever over the years. I'm not going to bad mouth a product just cause it didn't work for me...I simply know it wasn't meant for my hair. You can have all the knowledge in the world and it still don't mean nothing at all cause what works for you is not going to work for the next person..all she has knowledge of is what works for her and her daughter. This is just UA-cam you have to figure out what works for yourself instead of listening to others all the time.
I live in Mississippi, and never heard of some of that. I will not be checking out her channel, Never heard of anyone pre-pooing their hair with grease. Whomever she is, this has got to be a joke. I agree with you 100%. She is the reason hee hair is falling out. By the way, your hair look gorgeous. Take care.
I have watched a lot of hair videos and this lady by far does the best video. She is a beautiful black woman who is very funny and serious at the same time. Keep doing your thing mama.
I rinse my hair with warm water in order to get my low porosity hair to absorb conditioner, but she doesn't use conditioner so her cuticles are open for no reason.
I love my hair grease! I started back using Blue Magic and my hair LOVES it. Its thicker and growing great. I mostly condition my way on wash day (Co-Wash) and shampoo once or may be twice a month. I spray water on first, I grease my scalp (Blue Magic and JCO, spray water on my hair (again), and seal with coconut oil and sheabutter.
When I was a little girl, my Mom and grandmothers used Bergamot after washing my hair and braid or plait it. It also conditioned the hair. My hair was C4 to the max! I had a head full of hair and mother hated to do it. It was thick and moderately long. I now am wearing my natural hair and I even use Vaseline and it redefines my natural curl pattern. I don't comb my hair everyday either. I let it breathe.
I tried following other "natural" instructions, using oils and all those products that they promote, but after about six months I gave it all up. I've been natural for years before I even knew there was a 'natural hair community' on youtube. I'd always used blue magic because it's what my mom used on my hair. Then I started hearing that it was bad for you and this was bad and that was bad. Tried that other stuff and my hair rebelled. I had so much shedding and breakage; I had to get my hair cut to even it out. And literally, that was in six months. I gave up, went back to blue magic. The only new thing I kept from trying new products was a twisting cream from African Pride because it detangles and feels so good on my hair. Lock that in with my blue magic and I'm good for a whole month.
Why are people surprised about this grease? That grease has been around for years. I use it all the time. I grew up doing water and grease. We keep bottles of it in our house. You all are going to cause the grease to go up $5 a bottle to $10 a bottle. We need to stop all this. Just whisper it to another sister and the other sister whisper. Keep all the other people out of our business.
I’m currently using grease in my hair now and I’m glad I turned back old school way !! My aunt told me blue magic is the way to go 😂 I’m 22 I remember when I was younger my mom would oil my hair once a week and I had the most healthy hair 💁🏽♀️
I absolutely agree with u Nezi grease does not break hair off if you wet your hair first and you should do the water , moisturizer , grease then gel challenge . I hear gel makes natural hair grow and it's been working for me , I need a second opinion on that 😁🤔 help me Nezi 💟 (so Everytime u moisturize and seal ,just apply gel from root to tip just like everything else ,last) & tell ole girl the only way to get grease out is to prepoo with conditioner or deep condition for 10-15 mins you'll feel the grease slip right out . You gotta condition duhh
Hi, there! Let me say this first. Your hair doesn't need anything to make it grow, because, naturally, it grows on it's own. Products assist our hair to not break, as easily, which prevents from, us, having to trim as often and fall out. Now, with the gel. I used to use gel, in the beginning of my journey. Gel keeps our hair neater, but, I learned that it would make my hair lock up over time. When, I would twist and braid it with gel, my hair was, like, Hey! Do you want dread locks? lol So, any other words, I try and stay away from gels on a regular basis. Yes, that's correct. Just apply the gel to the tips or the whole shaft. You can do it, either, wasy. I use to put it on the whole shaft, but, our hair starts locking from the tips up to the roots, first.
Gel is terrible on my hair. Even if I use no alcohol gel. I'm 4c anyway and with gel I don't get any fancy curl pattern like other hair types so I use it to slick that's back. And man it makes my hair feel so gunky over time, I notice more shedding when I'm using gel. Nah...
We grew up on grease so why do people act like it's toxic or something 😂 it's up to you if you choose it or not me myself has use it off and on so stop saying grease is not made for our hair whatsoever we choose it's all up to us let's just be natural grease or no grease whatever your mane like Neto stay shining baby girl
I know for my hair, hair grease is a no (and so is oil) my hair likes cream based products, and my hair and scalp does prefer to be washed every 2-3 days, but everyone does not have the same hair needs, you need a good regimen to fit your hair and your lifestyle. If I tried to do your regimen my hair would break, but if I tried to do her regimen I would be straight bald!!😂
BklynBabe my hair is similar. Grease and oil pretty much do nothing for my hair. I may put carol’s daughter’s “grease” once a month as a treatment and was out the next day, but other than that about every 4 days I alternate washing/cowashing, then leave in and styler. Dassit lol.
I agree. Hair grease is still used in my family, and I will continue to use it. Our ancestors used it for years, and many were able to grow their hair. Some of my favorite greases are, Blue Magic, NuGro (Black owned/ Louisiana), Palmer's Olive Oil, and Dog Mane (old school). Love your video!
I ain’t NEVA heard no 💩 like that hair grease break off yo hair wth 🙄...she talkn out duh side of her neck...smdh 🤦🏾♀️...I’m older then you NZE and my hair sho don’t break off🤦🏾♀️

The blue magic has help my hair alot, with God help too.Amen And Amen. Keep up the good work my friend. I enjoy watching your channel, you're so funny and for real.I love you and you seen like a member of my family. Have your fun and I just love your baby, meaning your dog.She so smart.😊
I wash, deep condition my hair bi-weekly. In between my wash days, I co-wash. I moisturize my hair&scalp every 3 days. When I was younger, my mother used TCB hair grease in my hair&scalp. My hair was already thick but it grew down my back.
I went back to what grandma used to do grease Is just cost effective and blue magic is still cheaper then everything on the market my hair is thicker and healthy
I remember the tree braids incident of 2013 😔 I shampoo once per week and I started using hair grease again after I found your channel years ago. Our parents used it on us when we were young and my hair was GOODT!!!! Love your realness as always!
Thank you for responding to the video in an enlightening fashion. I've recently returned to the old school routine for my hair, which had become over-processed from relaxers and not properly maintaining it. Use products that replenish moisture and pH balance of your hair, condition and/or deep condition regularly, then seal with grease or your choice of sealant and put in a protective style...and leave it alone! Now my hair is in a much healthier state because at one point I had thinning spots from dry scalp, chemical over-processing, as well as improper use of heat and incomplete hair care routine.
I’ve been a greasy baby ever since I went natural in November 2015 after seven years of being relaxed! Blue Magic Super Sure Gro is the truth! I started off with a TWA now it’s past my shoulders almost to armpit length! Everyone is wondering about my hair growth! I believe that Blue Magic is the main contributor along with keeping my hair braided!
I love your channel! We both use the same hair grease and hair method when moisturizing. I apply water first, leave-in, and hair grease to seal. Simple and moisturizing, just the way I like it!
I use Cantu Shampoo to rince my hair once a month or every two weeks. Of course grease will break your hair if you don't add water and a Leave-in conditioner cream. Grease & dry hair don't mix.
Started grease my hair again and its finally healthy, shines and growing. I tried all that expensive crap didnt even come close to the blue magic. Wash, condition, twist up with grease.
I saw another video about using grease. I had stopped years ago and since seeing that video like lit52 weeks ago, I started back, I've only done it once, I promise my hair is already thriving from that darn blue magic. I got the white container, and the leave in conditioner. I'll never stop again. My dad did my hair when I was a kid and it was down my back. I wish I never stopped but live and learn.
I've been on my natural hair journey since October 2018, and, have taken tips from both of you, more so from you, though. I'm very disappointed that she felt the need to post not one, but, two response videos. It's really not that serious...Nezi, thanks for all of the tips you provide! They have helped me a lot, I've bought a lot of the products you use, and, I'm seeing good results. ✌️
Awesome video!!! I also saw that video and I enjoy her content but I didn’t understand as well. I leave leave in conditioner on my hair after shampooing and conditioning and then seal with the blue magic and my hair is soft and moisturized for at least a week. My hair is a little past mid back length and I have had no problems with this. Thanks so much for your content!!!
☺️ I have just started with Ms. Mississippi and it's been a good hair regimen so far. Only I don't think the rinsing with hot water is working for me I see hair in my tub. But every 2-3 days overall less shedding. But I use oil or conditioner for my pree poo. I may melt the grease though. I have 3b 3c hair texture. I use instant and leave in conditioner.
Wait what??? 49!!! Lady, you look 30, I won't lie. So beautiful and I'm truly inspired by your videos. I'm on my 4c natural hair journey and it's just amazing. #New Subscriber here💙 #Thank you #Black Love
First off #1 back to the basics there has been nothing wrong with hair grease been using the stuff since I was kid all my mama had was some grease and water in a cup it really is not that deep 🤨 it’s hair grease, love ur channel
My Mom used grease , water and conditioner on my hair when I was younger my hair was down my back !! Just started back using grease again pure magic and plus I’m natural grease is the bomb 💣!!
i also grow up with hair oils my mom washed my hair and then put vaseline in it and then she would chinybumped ( bantuknots)😅it or do cornrows so there is nothing wrong with it ,,using too much of one thing is not good so each one must know how much grease to use ,,thanks for reacting to that subject 👍🏾👏🏾
Sis listen!!!! I agree with you!!! Hair grease is just fine. Just use it in moderation. You don't goop it on. When I 1st started wearing twists and twist outs a good 30 years ago, that's all we had to use! my hair flourished. I've just returned to being a curtly girl after almost 15 year loc'd. I just tried a wash and go and some of these new gels and stuff and I can tell you right now, my go to will be either Indian hemp or Nature's Blessing hair grease/pomades. Wash & goes or twist outs with gels will be rare occasions.
Since I started back using Grease, my hair breakage actually stopped, and now it's way passed my bra strap...GOOOOOOO Grease :-)

Its ok. LOL
I like the way you challenged her theories but kept it classy. You and your hair are gorgeous!
I’m 42 and going right back to my roots and using Indian Hemp grease-the one with the bits in it too. We need to stop with the selective memory...we know good and well that’s how we had our hair done as kids🙄 it’s HOW and WHEN you apply the grease🤷🏽♀️
I wash my hair like once a month, twice if I get too much buildup. I only use water and blue magic grease.
What style are you wearing for the meanwhile? I’d love to try this
@@Pussinbootszzz I keep my hair in twists mostly and puffs when I loosen the twists.
@@tanderson4147 Same here - my hair doesn't like anything but twists.
Ooo I do the same but I put in braids to avoid touching Cluff
SAME!!!
Im french créole woman , a french Caribbean woman, Blue Magic save my haïr...It's the best , no expansive and It's Magic.
@NATsoHIGH !I used to hate Dax too but Dax vegetable oils pomade (the green one) is the only one that smell good.I put that on my scalp sometimes and blue magic super sure grow on my hair and i have seen amazing results. The green one smells sweet like a baby.
NATsoHIGH ! you have different kinds of Dax, most Dax greases are lighter than BM, i use the Vegetable oil one and its better than all the BM i tried
Some people hair loves grease , drinks it up every time its put in the hair. My hair has a great relationship w grease.
Wish I hadn’t followed fashion on this one but I’m back on what I know and grew up using and grease is doing bits for my coloured hair more than oils ever could and did
Okay 👍🏾 From the lack of knowledge things parish &in this case #hair #breakage 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
Tiarra Jessie when I was natural my hair loved sulphate shampoo which other naturals said was bad. Everyone should just do what worked for them.
This is a good idea 💡 I'll have to try using aloe vera juice with it. I love me some blue magic too! 💙
Listening to you honestly saved my hair I'm back to using grease and I won't stop. Everybody regimen is different but grease has helped me retain length so I'm sticking with the greasy babies ❤
Every time she picks up that baby comb, I start laughing! Everything she's saying is common sense! That girl is boo boo the fool
Simplici-T's Temple And she’s rude AF did you check them comments? I’m over here dwl 😂😂. Sis going in!
How has this regime been?
@@QueenBee1118 thanks, I just was trying to express my opinion,I meant no harm.
Yeah she don't like for you to disagree with her but truth is truth my hair loves hair grease my hair is long thick and healthy I don't wash my hair every two days I ain't white her hair is so dry and unhealthy if folks listen to her they hair will be broke #99 all the time
We love Natures Blessing hair grease in our house. I have low porosity hair so I haven to locke the moisture in good.
Natures Blessing seems to be the only true natural product left in the stores
That’s all my grandma used on my natural hair back in the day. Honestly, now that I think of it, It was in a very healthy states
I absolutely love you. I started back using blue magic because of you and i couldnt be happier.
I am relaxed and I use grease as a sealant too. I stretch my relaxers for 5 months and follow a similar regime that you use. No breakage, in fact I got 6 inches of length my last stretch. Enjoyed your video.
@You go Sis Valeria. I am texlaxed and hear you 100% Hope you do hair videos
...share and let us learn.
Shaunta Dawson ...Chile I jus left and left comments to jus 🛑 and told her to watch NZE..and said her hair is done her waist...😳 lmao NOT 2Day 😂🤣😂
@@wassupg3037 I know that's right cause I was thinking did she ever consider that her messed up regimen is causing her breakage???

When she said she rinses her hair with hot water, I almost fell out my chair!!
When I rinse with cold my hair reacts terrible and gets so damn dry :/
I rinse my hair with warm water in order to get my low porosity hair to absorb conditioner, but she doesn't use conditioner so her cuticles are open for no reason.
Depends on porosity low porosity will be dry as hell w a cold rinse we have to use heat to open our cuticle
Lmfaooo bro IM CRINE AT THIS
Rinse with cool water to lock in moisture. A professional stylist will tell you this.
I felt the same as her about grease, went back to grease & no more hair breakage as well as faster growth. 😁
What grease do you use?
Hair grease as a sealant keeps my hair from breaking.
I just bought my Blue Magic grease y'all best not tell me nothing.
Preach Sis Keleisha
LMAOO I was JUST abouta send this to my friends group chat! Don't worry sis I changed my mind real quick 👌😂
🤣
Lmaooo just buy Vaseline if the price goes up
😁
IKTR!!!
@@NeziNappsakaNezi yea it keeps it from breaking as often & don't use it if it makes it lock
And our hair was healthier back then
I know for my hair, hair grease is a no (and so is oil) my hair likes cream based products, and my hair and scalp does prefer to be washed every 2-3 days, but everyone does not have the same hair needs, you need a good regimen to fit your hair and your lifestyle.
Dassit lol.
I appreciate your classy response. There was no name calling like she did. 🙌🙌
maragchnannel wow she name called smh
Thank you for educating women on how to care for our hair...many of us are uneducated & are learning about our beautiful, kinky hair.
Grease don’t work for everyone. BUT IT WORKS FOR ME I’ve never stopped using it since my mom stop doing my hair years ago. I stick with what works. 🏆
Growing up my mom only used hair grease on my hair and it was thick and long..back then we didn't know anything about hair oils..

I just bought that same Blue Magic Super Grow. For my daughter and I, it’s only been about a month so far using. Thanks for this video
Gurl I use grease every few days. My hair isnt as long as yours but much difference. I put oils in my grease
I can't stop staring at your hair. It's beautiful. Gives me hope.
Chile if that were true everybody over 40 would be ball headed AF.
akaziaj right
🤣🤣
Exactly 😂
I love your channel! We both use the same hair grease and hair method when moisturizing. I apply water first, leave-in, and hair grease to seal. Simple and moisturizing, just the way I like it!
I use Cantu Shampoo to rince my hair once a month or every two weeks.
Of course grease will break your hair if you don't add water and a Leave-in conditioner cream. Grease & dry hair don't mix.
Crystal Nelson bruh I'm so mad at that woman
I just had to come back and comment and say I'm glad you done this video very classy like a woman at all times🤗👌🏽👏🏽👏🏽✊🏾
Started grease my hair again and its finally healthy, shines and growing. I tried all that expensive crap didnt even come close to the blue magic. Wash, condition, twist up with grease.
Nezi, your voluminous hair is so mesmerizing 👀
I saw another video about using grease. I had stopped years ago and since seeing that video like lit52 weeks ago, I started back, I've only done it once, I promise my hair is already thriving from that darn blue magic. I got the white container, and the leave in conditioner. I'll never stop again. My dad did my hair when I was a kid and it was down my back. I wish I never stopped but live and learn.
Btw, your hair is beautiful!!!
Adding grease back to my routine ☝✨✨🌟

I tried the grease prepping and I loved it! Your hair should be wet/damp and you have to rinse it out. It makes sense.
First off #1 back to the basics there has been nothing wrong with hair grease been using the stuff since I was kid all my mama had was some grease and water in a cup it really is not that deep 🤨 it’s hair grease, love ur channel

YES!!!! YOU KNOW THIS Sis Cheryl. I texlaxed.
Thanks for mentioning how important it is to use conditioner after a good hair wash.
