The blush comparison is a reminder that we really don’t need that many blushes! 😅 I have so many that look different in swatches but on the cheeks they’re just… pink lol. The only unique ones I own are Glossier Dusk and Storm. Even Beam just looks pink on me 😂
was doing my brows when you said you were applying blush with the sigma f40 and my mind went to the e40 and I was like "Kelly's applying blush with an EYESHADOW brush? Innovative" 😂
Wow, it’s really fascinating how both sides ended up looking exactly the same even though you used all different products and sometimes even slightly different shades. It really shows just how little difference there is between some products and that we really don’t need to always have EVERYTHING. 🙊 also, you look beautiful, as always 🥰
For eye shadow sticks I can only recommend the ones from Kiko! They're really long lasting on my eyes and they're very inexpensive (at least in Europe). They also have a beautiful shade range☺️
Have you tried Elf's shadow sticks? They're very nice. They've extended the shade range and added matte sticks. Decent shade range too. They last a long time on me and are pretty easy to apply.
I LOVE your channel Kelly! I’m a nerd - so I feel the need to say that our brains want things to look symmetrical and the same, which is possibly why some of the dupes, like the shadow stick, look so much more close when you put them on. I have so much respect for your integrity and appreciate your insight as to being a part of the UA-cam beauty community. I look forward to all of your content and am confident that I am getting the truth from you. Also, I just love your hair - I am so jealous!!! Please keep doing what you do so well. ❤️
Love ur affordable Friday videos, and especially dupes! ELF nailed it, I actually prefer the ELF product over the CT one, shade 3 in both products are the exact same shade wise 😊
What a great video! I gotta say Kelly.. I know you don't do it very often, but I LOVE longer-formed content from you! With some creators I struggle to stay engaged with their videos when they're over 15 mins, but I never have that problem with you 😊 Idk if it's the subject matter or your personality, but whatever it is.. you really know how to keep your videos interesting!
I just picked up the Catrice concealer based on your recommendation, so far so good. I enjoyed the Kosas concealer, but it’s $47NZD ($29usd). Whereas the Catrice is $8.49NZD ($5.29USD). A massive saving. Btw, Hello from New Zealand!
Good morning Kelly! Great dupes especially the Blush dupe and the CT Beauty Light Wand. As for the pice increase, I’ve noticed a bunch of products at sephora are like $2.00 more recently!
The change to the intro, jumping straight into the premise of the video was really attention grabbing. I also appreciate that you are doing a mix of new dupes like the elf with mostly older ones. The process of finding dupes can be a little wasteful in my opinion.
Hey Kelly! V interested in that catrice concealer, I always forget about them. Thanks for doing this, loved it! Also, your link to the CT pillow talk dupe is for a site called Howl just FYI!
I love all your videos especially your dupe videos and from all the ones of yours I've seen I really loved this one I couldn't tell a difference at all and some of those high end products I've really been wanting to try but just can't afford right now so this helped me a lot with things I may for now just pick up the drug store version of it tysm for sharing Kelly 💖
I have NYX Peekaboo Neutral and I love it! I actually will put that all over my lips and top with Maybelline Lifter Gloss in Moon! I have not heard of the Milani lipstick as a dupe for Pillowtalk, but I'm intrigued! I've been wanting to try the Milani formula because everyone seems to love it and it's so accessible. I have heard of Flower Beauty Spiced Petal as a dupe as well. Thank you so much for your Affordable Friday content! It's my favorite series that you do. Thanks for the reminder that we all probably have products in our collections that will do whatever look we envision when we see all the shiny new releases every week. I actually truly enjoying browsing the new sections on Sephora and Ulta, putting stuff in my cart that catches my eye, and then truly going through my own collection to see if I already have something that could probably give me a similar look. IF I happen across a product that I find hard to "dupe" with my collection, then I add it to my wishlist.
For the highlight, it’s the tone/color for me. The flower beauty looks slightly more golden while the CT looks a little more pearl. Reminds me of comparing Becca opal VS moonstone.
So I saw an ingredient comparison between the Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter and Elf Halo Filter, and the Elf actually has a better ingredient deck for your skin.
Great video! So gonna try to find the Elf filter, never wanted to spend that much of the Charlotte without being sure I’d use it enough. Don’t get me wrong CT has great products but the cost!
I love the scientific precision and effort to minimize any contamination. This is how dupes show be done 😂 jk but I do appreciate all the effort you put into making these comparisons as fair as possible
Those blushes looked so similar in color when placed on the cheeks! I agree that the Milani is much nicer when applied. Also, I do believe that both the Balm bronzer and Elf bronzer (entire primer-infused line) is being discontinued! It's a bummer for sure lol
I bought the Kosas concealer because everyone was raving out it and it worked fine but within 3 months it went bad and smelled awful. I didn’t even get through half of it :( really disappointing. I won’t buy clean beauty products again. I like preservatives lol
I have to say for the primer, the finish of the CT seemed more flattering on camera in my opinion. It looks more pearly vs the elf looks more metallic/wet and acts less like a filter, if that makes sense.
The catrice concealer lays so bad on my skin.😅 It lays on top and it looks a bit dry. And I don't even have dry skin! Maybe a few patches in winter. Its weird it can be so different per person.
is there a dupe for MAC sheertone trace gold blush? it's the perfect golden shimmer bronzer with subtle sheen and golden brown with no hint of orange that looks stunning on fair skin as allover bronzer...I always got compliments every time I wore it, it was a golden glowy sunkissed tan in a bronzer that looked totally natural
The new Elf Halo Glow isn't a dupe for the CT in my opinion. Everyone is saying that but I found it to be a lot less glowy and very subtle compared to the CT. As an all over base I like the Elf under foundation but as a highlighter on top of foundation I much prefer the CT because the Elf doesn't have enough glow. Amanda Z did a great comparison of the two.
Thanks for the info! Been wondering how well it works as a highlighter on top of foundation (that is how I liked using the CT), will check that video out.
Video idea- half of your face cheapest makeup in your collection and the other half all of your most expensive makeup in your collection in each category it doesn't have to match
Kelly, I just wanted to let you know that with your brush dilemma l, I use 91% rubbing alcohol to clean my brushes. You just swirl it in rub it onto a towel and it dries very quickly. Using a high percentage of alcohol is really good because it not only cleans it also sanities and of course dries almost instantly. May be an idea in the future when testing dupes. I will say though for powders like eyeshadows and stuff the sigma switch is a game changer.
Someone was saying that the makeup revolution conceal and hydrate is also a dupe for the kosas do you think they are? How does the conceal and hydrate compare to the catrice truskin ?
Love this video! The drugstore side looks so good 💚 On a bit of a side note, I think it's totally okay (and preferable) for people to call products alternatives more often, when they are not exact dupes! I think Emily Noel does that and I think it's super helpful for me as a consumer 🤗
Can you talk about how often you wash your brushes and sponges. My 17 year old uses sponges for foundation- and I am old school and feel like those sponges are a minefield of bacteria and yuck. What are your thoughts. Thanks
I use a sponge, and if i wash after/before every use it doesn't break me out. For face procucts it's recommended to wash every time, I find that easier to do with sponges because I have to wet them before. I also use the same sponge for concealer, blush and bronzer, so it saves me from washing a lot of brushes and it's quicker. You are supossed to throw a sponge out after 3 months or so, i really like the ecotools biodegradable ones, they are fragile, so i need to be careful washing them, but very soft, and I love the angles
I clean my sponge after each use with Dove unscented soap. It takes about 20-30 seconds max. I think it’s actually much more hygienic than using a brush which I definitely don’t wash as often as I should.
Elf shade ranges have always been confusing and inconsistent. I'd never put myself in the light category, but the elf Flawless brightening concealer in light 26n matches me perfectly. But then I got a medium shade in another concealer, and it was too light. 😬 Sigh
I bought a light warm shade in the hydrating concealer, and it was the same shade as the fair beige, which is to say, just peach! I like their formulas, but their colors (especially undertones) leave something to be desired.
Hey Kelly just a heads up I knew you meant CT lipliner in pillowtalk but your description box says eyeliner is pillowtalk.. Just so no one has any issues.
I doubt the balm is going out of business. I've seen them regularly discount products and seen people speculate that they were going to be gone for like the past decade
Gonna say something blasphemous...I do not like Hollywood Flawless Filter! I mean, it's ok, but it's something people talk about so much that I believe it to be a very overly hyped product. IMHO.
@@KellyGooch which one? I used Grande lash and had amazing results but my eyes are hazel/brown and they darkened so I got so scared I stopped using it after doing research on it and seeing people with green and hazel or even light brown eyes they can get darker! And you can lose the fat from the eye area. So now after a couple months of stopping, my lashes are right back to so tiny!
It would have been better if you used a different brush on the Elf side and the Charlotte Tilbury side so we can see how the floor is filters work. It seems by using the same hand to put the foundation on both sides before using the same brush mixes up both products so it's hard to tell if it's really a dupe on the face.
I'm sorry, I don't think the Elf is a dupe. Yes it's the same type of product, but no, it doesn't feel as nice on the skin and it doesn't look as pretty under the makeup.
The blush comparison is a reminder that we really don’t need that many blushes! 😅 I have so many that look different in swatches but on the cheeks they’re just… pink lol. The only unique ones I own are Glossier Dusk and Storm. Even Beam just looks pink on me 😂
Yes! I needed to hear that myself too haha
Yep! Blush always ends up looking pink unless it’s like a tan color for me
Agreed
We really don’t.
And yet... I can't seem to stop buying more 😮💨
Drugstore makeup has stepped up their game tremendously over the last few years!!
Also I’m shocked the affordable side looks better in my opinion!!!
I thought so too!
was doing my brows when you said you were applying blush with the sigma f40 and my mind went to the e40 and I was like "Kelly's applying blush with an EYESHADOW brush? Innovative" 😂
I apply blush with a smaller brush regularly because I have a small cheek space. It allows me to be really precise in my placement
Wow, it’s really fascinating how both sides ended up looking exactly the same even though you used all different products and sometimes even slightly different shades. It really shows just how little difference there is between some products and that we really don’t need to always have EVERYTHING. 🙊 also, you look beautiful, as always 🥰

You really should! Have a nice weekend :))
Have you tried Elf's shadow sticks? They're very nice. They've extended the shade range and added matte sticks. Decent shade range too. They last a long time on me and are pretty easy to apply.
Yes, Kiko’s are wonderful!!

Girrrl you look stunning. I love a good dupe. Thanks for sharing 😊 have an amazing weekend ❤️
Really excited for the Elf dupe because the CT one broke me out
I’d double check ingredients first then! Just so it doesn’t happen again :)
Good morning Kelly! Great dupes especially the Blush dupe and the CT Beauty Light Wand. As for the pice increase, I’ve noticed a bunch of products at sephora are like $2.00 more recently!
Everything is going up in price. I have always loved buying makeup, but I am being more careful about what I pick.
I would love to see high end dupes for affordable skincare that actually works
Actually the Catrice concealer matches you perfectly from my pov. The Kosas is so way off.
Thats what I thought too
I love these videos!! Thank you! For showing us the affordable makeup!
I love these kinds of videos, thank you so much! And I guess this is my sign to apply my concealer with a brush
The change to the intro, jumping straight into the premise of the video was really attention grabbing. I also appreciate that you are doing a mix of new dupes like the elf with mostly older ones. The process of finding dupes can be a little wasteful in my opinion.
Thanks for the feedback!
Agreed!
I agree
I find that the Charlotte Tilbury enhances my texture more. It is more metallic to me. 😀

I own both of those lipsticks and I had not realized they're so similar! 😯
I’m so obsessed with this look
Affordable all the way!
I have NYX Peekaboo Neutral and I love it! I actually will put that all over my lips and top with Maybelline Lifter Gloss in Moon! I really live your dupes. I think the looks look the same , almost. I like the drugstore more, I think because of the blush
For the highlight, it’s the tone/color for me. The flower beauty looks slightly more golden while the CT looks a little more pearl. Reminds me of comparing Becca opal VS moonstone.
I do love affordable Friday! After the video that you compared the Catrice concealer to the Kosas one, I bought it and love it. Thanks!!
The Flower Beauty highlight looks better than the CT imo. I prefer the slightly less bold look.
I was just looking at the nyx pencils. They look nice to use!
So I saw an ingredient comparison between the Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter and Elf Halo Filter, and the Elf actually has a better ingredient deck for your skin.

Really want to try the Flower Beauty Liquid Highlight!! They're becoming increasingly hard to get hold of in the UK though 😓
Love affordable Fridays! Thank you 😊
Hmmm Kosas concealer is my HG so excuse me while I add the Catrice concealer to my Amazon cart 😊
Great comparisons, thank you for this!
Awesome dupes!!
I have to say for the primer, the finish of the CT seemed more flattering on camera in my opinion. It looks more pearly vs the elf looks more metallic/wet and acts less like a filter, if that makes sense.
I wanna try the elf duper sooo bad but who knows when it'll come back in stock lol
The catrice concealer lays so bad on my skin.😅 It lays on top and it looks a bit dry. And I don't even have dry skin! Maybe a few patches in winter. Its weird it can be so different per person.

Amazing dupes! 🤩 i could only see the slightest difference in tones for the eyepencils.
another dupe IMO is the Kosas revealer concealer and the Wet n Wild Incognito concealer!
The new Elf Halo Glow isn't a dupe for the CT in my opinion. Everyone is saying that but I found it to be a lot less glowy and very subtle compared to the CT. I think people should call it an alternative not dupe. The word dupe has lost all meaning now.
Great video, I love dupe videos.
Video idea- half of your face cheapest makeup in your collection and the other half all of your most expensive makeup in your collection in each category it doesn't have to match
Hi, love your videos, please tell me which brush you used for foundation?
Kelly, I just wanted to let you know that with your brush dilemma l, I use 91% rubbing alcohol to clean my brushes. You just swirl it in rub it onto a towel and it dries very quickly. The dupe side looks more natural!
I really like the drugstore side better
What foundation BRUSH are you using? Thanks!!
Hello Kelly ! Could we have an update about the way the two sides wore during the day ? Thank you
The drugstore side looks BETTER in my opinion. Charlotte T took a big price jump in the last month.
I agree!!
Have you tried the maybelline 4 in 1 glow primer? How does it compare to the CT and the Elf
For the Kosas concealer, isn’t the shade 3 Olive Warm, instead of 30W? 😅
Love this video! The drugstore side looks so good 💚 On a bit of a side note, I think it's totally okay (and preferable) for people to call products alternatives more often, when they are not exact dupes! I think Emily Noel does that and I think it's super helpful for me as a consumer 🤗
I just spoiled myself with 400 on charlotte’s sale still bought the elf too
I thought it's because they changed their formula and that's why their stuff was on sale --- on Uoma Beauty at Ulta
next time you could do a wear test to see if maybe longevity differs
Can you talk about how often you wash your brushes and sponges. My 17 year old uses sponges for foundation- and I am old school and feel like those sponges are a minefield of bacteria and yuck. What are your thoughts. Thanks
I use Dawn dish washing liquid to clean my sponges

Great video! I actually thought your cheeks looked better on the dupe side. ♡
I thought so too!
Why isn’t anyone talking about how beautiful she is without makeup
New subscriber here.😊 Love your channel❤ what brush are you using for your foundation?

i like the luxury feeling of highend makeup but idk drug store performs the same.. do u think highend is worth it??
Hey Kelly just a heads up I knew you meant CT lipliner in pillowtalk but your description box says eyeliner is pillowtalk.. Just so no one has any issues.
What concealer brush did you use?
I doubt the balm is going out of business. I've seen them regularly discount products and seen people speculate that they were going to be gone for like the past decade
Take a drink every time you hear “pimple patch”. 😝
The numbers might be the same but maybe comparing fair to fair would be a closer shade match?
The elf has more coverage
Gonna say something blasphemous...I do not like Hollywood Flawless Filter! I mean, it's ok, but it's something people talk about so much that I believe it to be a very overly hyped product. IMHO.
Girl, I agree with you. Honestly, I think all of CT's products are overrated and overly hyped. Oh, and overpriced.
I agree also.
I don't like it either! Paid enough for it so better use it up🥲
@@sandram.d.6164 thank you! Me too!
☝ Exactly!
I don’t trust that switch to actually clean the brushes completely because mine doesn’t.
How does the elf CT dupe compare to the Maybelline one?
I haven’t tried the Maybelline one since they’re not cruelty-free :/
Are your eyelashes natural? They're so thick and beautiful! Or do you use anything to help them out?
I use a lash serum :)
@@KellyGooch which one? The CT lipstick dupe link took me to a weird website, howl
Howl is the affiliate service I use but the link should direct you to a retailer :)
❤️❤️❤️
👏🏻
I kept pausing to look at the lips and they look exactly the same!
Is rare beauty not cruelty free? I feel like that brand totally fits your aesthetic!
Their status is unclear so I don’t use them :/
