I try drugstore products first, and usually I can find something that works for me. One exception has been concealer. I've tried several, and I haven't found one that's light enough, works on my very dry and sensitive skin, and has enough pigment to cover my dark circles. Also, I prefer matte eye shadow, and most shades in drugstore brands are shimmers or glitters. The exceptions are the Ulta Beauty and the Sephora Collection store brands which do offer matte shades. So right now I'm using IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Undereye concealer, which I'd describe as mid priced. The product is very concentrated, and I only need to use the tiniest dab. Another issue is lipsticks. My lips are also sensitive, so I avoid lip products with flavor or fragrance. The only drugstore option I know of for me is the Revlon Super Lustrous bullet lipsticks. Fortunately, they come in a wide color range! But I'll admit to also buying the Urban Decay Vice bullet lipsticks and Clinique Almost Lipstick.
hi kelly! a holy grail product for my lashes that fall down and never hold a curl: etude house lash primer before any mascara. it’s inexpensive and it’s a game changer!
I'm a gourmand woman, and I have been looking at Lemond Gourmand at Ulta. Thanks for talking about one, I feel better about trying one now. Also the ELF lip liners are so good! I love the Nyx buttermelt too. 😊
I have a bottle of Le Monde Gourmand Fleur de Blonde, and it really is good. And it lasts quite well on my dry, perfume eating skin. This one isn't a gourmand though; it's more of a sweet musky floral, specifically violet.
I am a drugstore chick, I have tried some high end alternatives and always go back to my drugstore faves. The Elf primer infused blushes and bronzer are holy grail status for me. I also love the Wet n Wild photo focus dewy foundation and their newish Niacinamide skin tint.
I’m so tempted by the elf eyeshadow and the nyx bronzer or blush, but I know myself and I hate using eyeshadow I just use highlighter instead, and I still have blushes and bronzers to use up!
I love elf always cheeky and the bronzer of the same line forever sunkissed too. So glad you like them too, i was wondering why nobody talks about them anymore 😊
I have been really wanting to try those eyeshadows from Elf. They look like such a one and done shadow or an amazing topper - but great option for the holidays.
I'll for sure give the elf shadows a chance. I've never tried Urban Decay's Moondust shadows, so I don't have a preconceived notion about what the elf shadows should be like. That said, I might have to try the UD shadows at some point because I do like that scattered glitter look, ope.
I recently got the confetti dorès from Le Monde Gourmand . I do like the confetti, but my favorite is Tres Pine, from Le Monde Gourmand. Every perfume I've tried from them smells great. Glad you like the confetti and want to try more!
I love the elf fine as fleck shadows! (I've never tried the urban decay moon dust ones, so can't compare). One of my favorite foundations is the Milani conceal and perfect. That and the elf soft glam are my go to ones.
Thank you for highlighting great drugstore products. Other than a few select high end foundations I think a lot of drugstore makeup equals or beats high end and you can’t beat the prices. I can’t wait to try the Ulta Eyelid Primer. Hope it works for me. I’ve been looking for a nude color pigmented eyelid primer to camouflage upper lid discoloration. A regular concealer covers but eyeshadows don’t apply well over it. I’ve tried the highly recommended MAC Paint Pot, but it was too cakey looking on my dry and hooded eyelids. I’ve yet to try the UD primer due to the price.
I use my Nyx Buttermelt bronzer all the time. I also use my Milani cream bronzer as a contour since it's more on the cool side. I also have E.l.f. makeup brushes that I enjoy a lot. I even use some of them over my MAC set.
I loved the Item Beauty mascara and have missed it! Thanks for the recommendation! I'm close to being done with my current mascara and will check it out.
Omg pk I felt like I had discovered some kind of best kept secret with the $2 ELF lip liners. I reach for them over all but one other liner I have and they are such a steal.
Hi Kelly, thanks for the video! I don't use many high end products, so I can't compare them to drugstore. But I can tell you my drugstore favorites: Revlon Illuminance foundation, Maybelline Dream BB Fresh tinted moisturizer, L'Oreal True Match Super-Blendable blush, and Revlon Super Lustrous Lipsticks. I've been using those last 3 for many years. The Super-Blendable blush is a product I never hear anybody talk about, probably because it's an older product. But it really is good. I wish I could try the NYX Butta blush and the Milani Cheek Kiss blush, but they both have fragrance. If you're wondering what the fragrance is in the Milani blush, it's Punica Granatum Fruit Juice and Rosa Centifolia Flower Water. I might be able to use the E.l.f. Primer Infused Blush, but it has an ingredient called bambusa arundinacea juice that apparently is an exfoliant. Not sure if my very dry, sensitive skin can tolerate that. I hate it that brands put things like this in their products!
I dare you to try UDs big bush brow! I think it's miles better than the Nyx one. I find Nyx brow gel to be quite wet and messy to use. Ud gives perfect brows without a need to tidy afterwards with a spooly. Love u and your videos❤
My sister has a few of the Le Monde Gourmand perfumes, and they all smell delicious! I definitely recommend them! :) I have hooded eyes, so I always use an eye shadow primer or some kind of eye shadow stick to build my eye shadows on top of (unless I'm being lazy XD). I use the Milani one. I had the same tube for YEARS, but it started going off. I ended up getting the Milani one again, although I was eyeing the Ulta brand one as well. I mostly use drugstore, but I did invest in a Bare Minerals foundation since I only own one. I've been thinking about getting a mid-range price concealer, too, since the drugstore ones I've tried haven't gotten along with my skin (partially because I find shade-matching so difficult).
I still need to try the NYX butter melt bronzer. It’s been on my wishlist since they came out. And ever since seeing you use the pink powders under your eyes, I have been using my hourglass ambient lighting blush in ethereal glow as an under eye powder because it’s too light to use as a blush and I’m currently trying to spend very little money on makeup so resisting the Kosas pink powder (I really want it though 😂)
I like my foundations from the drugstore. Soft Glam I wore it today. Elf lip liners, L'Oreal brow gel. I could on but it's late, went for my first visit with the Radiologist that will be doing my radiation on my right breast. Milani lip oils 💞. I enjoyed your video, you look awesome.🍁🍂💀🎃🍁💯✔️❗
I am more mid to high end makeup person. Drugstore just don’t work for my deep skin tone. Everything I have ever got from elf had to be discarded. They don’t perform well. Nyx created a brown blush and marketed it as a bronzer. The buttermelt blushes are too pigmented. You have to work hard to get rid of the clown look. L’Oréal is too expensive. A blush going for usd16. Can get addiction Tokyo blush for usd17 and they are perfection on my deep dark skin. I think the topic is very subjective.
I’ve noticed this and although drugstore brands have FINALLY started pushing towards adding darker skin options in complexion…sadly many PoC end up having to pay a higher price point for inclusivity :( drugstore still ends up having fewer options the darker or different your complexion + undertone. You may like LYS’ bronzer and blushes! It’s black owned and relatively affordable for a brand at sephora (if you know this ignore me ofc haha). I recced them to my fiancée whose got darker skin and it works with them beautifully. LYS definitely has the knowledge of varied undertones in darker skin by being black woman owned 🥺🫶
@ Tried the Lys bronzer and blushes. The Lys bronzer, strength blends into my skin and worthy is a tad too deep. They have added more shades but not sure I want to experiment further. The blushes are nice on my skin though.
I find the physicians formula (in shade light and shade bronze) and elf primer infused bronzers not nearly as warm/orange! Or if you wait for a sale, the Sephora collection pressed bronzer is more neutral and the formula blends really well + buildable. I have an olive leaning cool skin tone so I fully empathize I found the nyx ones too warm on me as well 😭
Kimchi translucent setting powder Elf always rosey powder blush Elf catching rays powder bronzer over milani spilling yea bronzer Loreal voluminous burgendy mascara and milani antigravity waterproof mascara Loreal age perfect tinted serum foundation with the spf 50 even tho im oily if i use a good pdimer setting powder and spray it works great looks beautiful and the milani mini in champagne problems and i use the colour pop deep brown eyeshadow stick with an angeled brush for my liner i tightline with a tiny little wing and use la girl lip liner in keep it spicey and nyx click stick in a mood i also use ami cole cream blush in dune under the elf always rosey but its high end but thats my everyday makeup routine lately the primer i use is one size oil sucker and i go back and fourth with setting spray one size and milani matte and i put a little pore filler primer on top of the oil sucker usually elf poreless og or smashbox photo finish
Wow, Kelly - the autumn colors are SO you: the reddish hair, the makeup, the nails...
& that is why pretty Kelly should not have on that dead black top
@@judithholder2537 Agreed. Contrary to fashion advice we often hear, black is not a good color on everyone.
I'm a drugstore lady 🥰. Expensive brands have to REALLY grab my attention before getting my hard-earned cash 💸.
The only high end product I use is foundation. Everything else is drugstore
I’m the same!!!

Milani always has been a sleeper hit with their blushes across the board tbh I still use their baked blushes to this day 😂
I'm not a frequent commenter ever, but your makeup in this video is just oh so extra flattering on you. Beautiful!
The elf eyeshadow and packaging reminds me of Asian beauty eyeshadows. Their glitters are amazing. And most of ab makeup is super affordable.
100% on the NYX bronzer. ❤❤❤ I have so many high end and this one beats them all!
That elf eyeshadow is heavenly
Love the lip liners from elf, there are very creamy and long lasting . And the bronzer in butta cup is beautiful!! 💞
I was just binging your videos all night. I'm excited to be here for a brand new video for the first time.

The Colourpop Super Shock Shadows are a better dupe for the UD & they are cruelty free & inexpensive!
Essence pure nude highlighter, elf halo glow loose powder, maybelline superstay skin tint. I totally agree about the Nyx buttermelt line!
I prefer metallic. So I might have to check out those shadows. ❤

Love your look today

Always love your drugstore content

Your nails are sooo cool! I had to check the description box to see what they are.
Cute nails! The dashing diva peel and stick were the best I’ve tried

I love seeing this before the Sephora sale ❤
Great video 👍🏼
Maybelline superlock brow "glue" - it's a clear gel and actually stops my eyebrow hairs from falling down, I was surprised it worked so well.
I have the nyx blush and its very good. So pigmented.
Love using my Elf Lash N Roll mascara. It is so good. I have it in black and brown

Those elf eyeshadow need a dense shader brush and for more impact use a spray or base

Revolution eye brightener-and most other products you mentioned. 😅

I'm early!! KELLY: you look fab, as always darling!! I hope you are doing well ❤️
I got the pink one, and let me tell you… it was on my eyes for like 3 days😭
The s is silent in dorés for your perfume. French for the color gold
Im scared if theyve reformulated the Ulta eyeshadow primer with the new packaging..... Its my favorite and I'll be so upset if they did!
I have it and like it a lot. Don't think it's reformulated
@ thank goodness!!!
Smells like a bday cake???? Say no more, sold 😂
😂😂😂💙

What do you set your eyeshadow primer with? Thanks! 😘
Hey Kelly, Did you ever do a video where you gave yourself thick eyebrows?
I am more mid to high end makeup person. Drugstore just don’t work for my deep skin tone. Everything I have ever got from elf had to be discarded. They don’t perform well.
I am so bummed about the nyx bronzer, it pulls so warm and orange on me 😢

@volsungs I'm definitely looking at the Sephora ones. I have the original blush in second chance and LOVE IT
I stopped buying Benefit brow gel once I tried NYX! It's thickening my thin hair, so I don't even need to use a brow pencil.
Kimchi translucent setting powder
Elf always rosey powder blush
Elf catching rays powder bronzer over milani spilling yea bronzer
Loreal voluminous burgendy mascara and milani antigravity waterproof mascara
Loreal age perfect tinted serum foundation with the spf 50 even tho im oily if i use a good pdimer setting powder and spray it works great looks beautiful and the milani mini in champagne problems and i use the colour pop deep brown eyeshadow stick with an angeled brush for my liner i tightline with a tiny little wing and use la girl lip liner in keep it spicey and nyx click stick in a mood i also use ami cole cream blush in dune under the elf always rosey but its high end but thats my everyday makeup routine lately the primer i use is one size oil sucker and i go back and fourth with setting spray one size and milani matte and i put a little pore filler primer on top of the oil sucker usually elf poreless og or smashbox photo finish
Any suggestions for another good eyeshadow primer? I don’t think we have ulta where I live
Elf has a decent one!
Milani
What shade do you like in the NYX butter bronzer?
Kelly has the Butta cup shade. It's beautiful, I love it too.
I wonder how the elf lip liners compare to the essence ones! Because the essence ones are pretty dry on me :/
The elf are way creamier than essence and last much longer too!
Love the hair!
I only own drugstore, but the buttermelt bronzer is indeed great!
💚💜💙
First???
