Loved their quirky visuals but their music was what I loved the most. Way ahead of many bands in every way, back in the late 70's. Glad the brothers made it through to today making popular tunes. Pleased to say I was a fan in the 70's. Saw em in Preston, Lancashire around this time at a Students Union gig. Weird but wonderful! x
A real zany piece of music, and a great track. I loved the Mental Notes album with Phil Judd's compositions, and Tim Finn has always had a great voice .A much underrated band of their time.
What a great tune this is! One of my top 3 Split Enz songs. Maybe their most musically advanced. The two other songs noteworthy are Sweat Dreams and Bold as Brass. I miss my youth. Thanks for posting this video.
Under The Wheel, Late Last Night or Walking Down a Road have more going on musically. thats the Enz at their most progressive. Jamboree’s good but the chorus is a bit hokey. the best stuff was with Phil Judd
I love Split Enz. Had a pile of Split Enz Cassettes stolen from my VW in late 1980s. I'm beginning to believe my collection was a drop in the bucket, of their full output! Truly an amazing vanguard of the New Wave!
love this song. I think it ends the album which works really well. Like Be bop deluxe and early Roxy Music, a cross between art pop, progressive and new wave.
“the guy” = en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Noel_Crombie …contributed his genius from Enzs’ getgo, thru to their disbanding & later reunions…earned his fame & legacy with true dedication & commitment! He was a real expert at his chosen profession.
Underrated art rock if you ask me. Great band.
Fabulous loved them since the 70s

Avant-garde and brilliant. Eddie is a kick ass pianist!
Both Brothers are awesome lead singers!!!
What an original and unique song. I love Eddie’s piano intro and the ending is fantastic😊
Never seen this video before Love love love this track Happy memories of seeing the Enz 6 times in the UK between 1977 and 1980 🙂👌👏👏👏

My favorite Kiwi band of all time. Then again, there aren't that many Kiwi bands I listen to.
Top Kiwi band, the weird look really helped them crack it. Saw them a couple of times live they really kicked arse.

Best Split Enz song ever, The Sound don’t even have it in their library, how pathetic

I remember them playing this live on many occasions. A truly great song that typified the Enz.
Love this song from my favorite Enz record.
Brilliant!
Love the train whistle sound that comes in halfway.
Certainly a jovial tune but there's a bit of a manic edge to it as well. Top stuff. All hail the Enz.
Absolutely Brilliant
Glorious!
...brave..enchanted. .haunted. ..taunted. ..today soberclean yay ty.
This is so sick!
So far ahead of their time
1977, unbelievable.New wave before new wave and NEVER given any credit by the music historians of punk!
Great music . If David Bowie had this release it had gone world wide

❤❤❤❤😂❤❤❤❤❤
I want to be like the guy who stands around and sometimes holds a tambourine. How do you get that job?
you become the bands stylist; designing their wardrobe. then they’ll let you stand onstage shaking maracas 🪇
